Cottage Inn Pizza was founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1948. Originally a coffee shop, pizza was added to the menu in 1959 and was the first pizza business in Michigan. The original building and restaurant still stands.
Today, Cottage Inn Pizza is a chain of franchised pizza restaurants. Franchising did not begin until 2014, but the company already has more than 50 locations in Michigan and Ohio, with plans for 500 stores in the next 15 years in all 50 states.
The company is best known for its specialty pizzas, such as apple pie, gluten free, and build your own pizzas, where customers choose whatever toppings they like. The chain also specializes in various flavored crusts, such as garlic butter, sesame seed, and butter Parmesan crusts.

I tried to post on the Saline, Mich. Facebook but not sure it took. I wanted to let you know about a group of young men at the Saline, Mi. store that know what good customer service and great attitudes are all about. I went in on Tuesday, July 16, at 9:40 pm after a long day in Ann Arbor with many stops and dodging storms. I asked if I was too late to get anything to eat and was assured by the young man Maverick (no kidding) at the counter that it was no problem. Mind you that the dining area had been cleaned and all the chairs were up but I was told it was no problem. There was a problem with the computers due to the storms and I told him I could pay cash or credit. The computer would not take my order. So Maverick told me I would get my Nino 4 slice for free for my “inconvenience”. It was me who was the inconvenience but he assured me that I was welcome to stay and eat as they still had to clean up the back. All the young men who were working that night were very kind and considerate and assured me it was no problem. I offered to leave at 10 pm but was told it was no problem, they were still cleaning. When I went to leave Maverick gave me a coupon for a free pizza again for my “inconvenience”. It has been a long time since I have had such great service and great attitudes from young men who take their work, service, and attitude so serious and professional. You can count on me telling everyone I know to go to this Cottage Inn and encourage all those who live in Saline to support this business. I will make it a point to stop again on my way from Ann Arbor to Adrian where I live. I hope this will be shared with the owner/manager and that these young men will get an “atta boy” in their files. They made my day.

I ordered the “Garden Veggie” pizza (Square)-carry out. The first slice had no mushroom or onion on it. Second slice, no broccoli or tomatoes! I only had a sliver of tomatoes and a dried-out, burnt piece of broccoli on the 1st slice. On top of that, on this THICK aXX pizza crust, there was minimal amount of sauce. When I call one spoke with who was suppose to be a “supervisor/manager,” he indicated there were only 2 things he could do, replace or credit. I chose credit. He said sorry and hung up the phone on me…. I called right back asking how was he going to credit, when he didn’t have my info.!!!!! HE indicated that I was the only customer that had placed an order for the “Garden pizza” that day. Very rude “supervisor/manager.” I want a refund and will be calling on MONDAY morning!

I placed an order today at a location in Fenton Michigan on silver lake road. In total I spent $54- I ordered a large pepperoni and cheese stick, 1 x-large deluxe pizza, and one order of cinnamon sticks. I was not given the cinnamon sticks. I called this location to let them know about the mistake and was treated terribly. I have never been talked to in the manner that I was today. I was placed on hold could hear the employees talking about me and saying I was flipping out. Well after spending $54- of course I’m going to be upset by the way my
Complaint was being handled. This is ver unprofessional and I can guarantee I will not do business with cottage inn again.

I placed an online order with the Packard Rd. Location just before 12 am Wed. night/ Thur. morning. About a half an hour later apparently I missed a few calls from them as I was on the job working. I guess they wanted to confirm my location because when they finally got a hold of me the “apparent” manager patrick wanted to confirm that I was at the location that I gave them online and asked for my room number. I told him there was no room number as I was at the front desk. An hour later after I placed my order I get a call from the driver wanting to know my room number! (Clearly they dont communicate) The pizza finally arrives. COLD. You couldn’t even feel any heat from the box. I told the driver I didn’t want the pizza, he tells me “you could of told that to the guy on the phone before I came”. My response: I didn’t know it was going to be cold! I call back to speak to a manager, they hang up on me. I call back and get patrick and he tells me he’ll refund my order, but he’s not going to send someone back out with a fresh pizza. My response: oh I don’t plan on ordering anything again. Ever. Have a goodnight. Bottom line is, it’s not my fault the website doesn’t make it mandatory to put a room number in for hotels, or that it’s not mandatory to put the hotel name. It’s not like I misspelled the name and address of the hotel and I’m in the lobby so I left it blank. They get plenty of orders from this hotel so it’s not like the location is unfamiliar. If they had just brought the pizza I was there at the front desk! I am a customer service agent, they knew the pizza was cold by the time they got a hold of me on the phone, why not just remake the pizza fresh? It’s called CUSTOMER SERVICE. To add insult to injury there is no number to call the corporate office to report such rude treatment. Hence this submission is necessary. I work too hard for my money to have to argue just to receive a quality product that I’m paying for! I told the driver and the “manager” that I would bring the food back just so that they would realize that I’m not trying to give them a hard time, I just don’t want a cold pizza! Still nothing but rudeness and smug attitude especially from the driver. I had the tip for the driver in my hand and would had given it to him had his response not been “you coulda told him before I came”. I will never patronize this location again. I’ll spend my money where it’s appreciated and where I can get some quality customer service.

I placed an online order about 20 minutes ago and when I went to redeem my points for a free medium one topping pizza it used up my points but didn’t apply it to my order. If you could please replace my points I’d greatly appreciate it.
