CoreLife Eatery was founded by Lawrence Wilson in 2015. The company operates a chain of casual/fast-food vegetarian restaurants. Currently, the company has 52 locations in 11 states with 26 being corporate owned and 26 being franchised locations.
The menu consists of three types of vegetarian “bowls”; grain bowls, bone-broth bowls, and green bowls. Customers can also choose “make your own bowl.” While being vegetarian based, the restaurant chain does offer menu items with chicken, pork, tuna, and beef. The children’s menu includes items like pasta and chicken noodle soup.
Forbes states that the chain doubled its revenue in 2018.
The restaurant chain came under fire in early June 2018 when a Salt Lake City manager was captured on video aggressively attacking an employee and her family. The manager was later fired.
Despite the coronavirus, CoreLife Eatery continues to open new locations.
Company headquarters is currently located in Syracuse, New York.

I think the staff at the Cool Springs, TN location needs remedial training in customer service. I am very appalled at the way I was treated tonight after asking for the military discount that I have received, every time I go there to eat. First and foremost, I do not ever expect a military discount at places, but it does change the way I view restaurants if they support the men and women who are serving or have served in the military. I tend to support the restaurants who give a military discount more because of their support and I give them the business. I was told tonight by the young cashier that they do not do military discounts and when I stated that they have honored it every other time I have been there, she replied “I would know who you are if you ate here all the time”. She then called an “acting manager” over who reiterated that they do not do military discounts and basically was sitting there calling me a liar because I brought up the previous experiences. She said “I’ll do 10% off this time” but had a bad attitude about it like I was breaking them. She then walked away and while my wife was finishing up the transaction, I looked up and caught the acting manager and the cashier behind the counter gesturing to each other and mocking me (using their hands, pointing to their head and then pointing to me) and insinuating that I was crazy. When I saw this, I called them out on their actions. This then got the rest of the crew behind the counter to stop and listen to what was going on. The mocking continued as I stood by the entrance and while my wife was getting napkins and silverware. If a restaurant does not do military discounts, that needs to be a policy across the board. If a customer comes in and gets a military discount when they show their military ID, we assume the restaurant does military discounts. If core life does not do the discounts, that’s fine but to get mocked by a bunch of ignorant kids who obviously had no respect for a customer or military personnel, is very disrespectful.

I worked at CoreLife in the Murfreesboro, TN location as well as the Cool Springs, TN location. Over my nine months of tireless work, I would like to share my final thoughts on the management of the Murfreesboro location. The work environment is not only lacking in professionalism and respect but also regard. The general manager unabashedly disregards employee feedback and participates in the slander of the workers beneath him. I have seen numerous individuals under the age of twenty be expected to center their existence on the needs of this store when they had clearly stated their availability before hand. When those needs were not met, they were given threats of termination. The expectations of individuals were always raised without their dedication being recognized with even as little as a “thank you”. There were also several times where I ( 21+) and two coworkers (17) were there til 11 when we close at 8. It is no wonder this store has a horrible retention rate. I have never worked with more unprofessional management. This experience made me feel disrespected, inferior, and quite honestly ashamed to have said I ever worked for CoreLife.

Visited Corelife in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania..always loved the food..but today my experience was horrendous..young staff….one staff member had a filthy mesh glove on and had it covered with a disposable glove which was also dirty..which then was transferred onto my food containers…I told the young man to change his gloves which he did ..And replace the dirty containers my food was in..There were no straws or paper products to be had..counters were dirty..While paying I could see the back room which had a large amount of lettuce on the floor along with empty boxes and other debris…My food was mediocre..not how I usually get it…I believe the staff has not been trained properly and do not blame them..I blame the manager of that establishment which I saw no where in sight…I will be calling that manager and possibly the Dept of Agriculture…I do not believe the food is being maintained under sanitary conditions ..

I ordered online on 1/12 at the North Syracuse, NY (Buckley Rd) location. Everything said the location was open until 9pm, I got there at 7:45 and the doors were locked. I called to ask how pick up was done as I could see 3 employees inside but couldn’t get inside. The woman asked for my information, then responded by telling me they had my order all set and ready and she would meet me at the doors to bring me my order. I waited another 5 minutes before a woman finally came over to then tell me they did not have any steak for my Ranch Steak warm rice bowl and they “didn’t have anything else that would look nice” so she would refund me for the order. I was in fact not refunded money for a meal I did not get, but was also lied to twice.

I ordered lunch at the Clarence NY location yesterday and while I was eating my salad I tried to break up a ball of the cheese they put into it and while doing so found a dead fly attached to the cheese. I submitted feedback on the website and requested a refund of my order and have not received a response. I even posted a picture of the dead fly in the salad.

I used to work for this company, had to leave due to personal reasons. Was waiting for my paycheck and never received it. I had to end calling the store that I worked at , was told it was there. Went in the next day to go get it and now it’s not there and nobody knows what happened to it. Very upsetting. Still waiting for my paycheck.
