Two weeks ago, I sent an email to cooper tire regarding new Discoverer SRX tires that I bought. On grooved pavement, they caused my vehicle to hunt (Veer left and right) so much, that the ride was uncomfortable. I wrote that I was not satisfied with them. They had less than one thousand miles on them. The Michelins that I replaced did not have this problem on the same portion of road.

I do not like the handling characteristics of these tires, and want to replace them with tires that do not hunt. I asked my installer, Russ at Allied Tire in Carson City, Nevada to see if there was a fix or if the tires could be replaced. He said he would check with the manufacturer, but he has not contacted me either.

I have not received an answer from Cooper Tire regarding this problem. Seems like I am getting the cold shoulder treatment. I think that two weeks is excessively long to have received a reply.

Please contact me via the above email address ASAP.

Really, really looking for a Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx for a 275/60/R20 and I don’t believe it will fit. I was told the company was coming out wit an S/T Maxx that would fit. Do they have one yet as I need new tires.

Junk made in the USA! 17k miles, one year old, 3 rotations, aligned upon installation and they are chopped, noisey and probably dangerous! Would recommend this brand …American made tire! Ha ha ha

Dealer installed Cooper Discoverer tires on my Mercedes-Benz ML500. They were so noisy that I complained after about three days. Dealer replaced them with a less aggressive tread, lower speed rated tire, but the new ones are still very noisy and make a slapping sound at low speeds like there are flat spots on them. These tires are crap and I don’t recommend them to anyone, quite the opposite, I recommend they buy anything but Cooper tires.
