BHLDN was founded Valentines day in 2011. Originally, the company only sold their products online, with a brick and mortar store opening in Houston, Texas, later in 2011. The company designs and sells wedding dresses, vintage wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and accessories for wedding apparel.

The company operates as a subsidiary of Urban Outfitters. BHLDN is also found in Anthropology stores in most major cities in the US. The company carries and works with some of the most famous fashion designers, including Fleur Wood, Catherine Deane, and Tracy Reese. For wedding invitations, the company has paired up with Wedding Divas of Shutterfly.

BHLDN is short for the Dutch word “Beholden”, which means to keep, as in forever.

Deb Shops Corporate Office

Deb Shops was founded in 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Philip Rounick and Aaron Weiner. The original name of the company was JOY Hoisery. The company’s main focus at that time was nylons and intimate wear for women.

The company expanded greatly during the 1950’s and 1960’s, opening locations in neighborhood shopping centers. In the early 1970’s, the company decided to change direction and open larger stores, offering clothing, shoes, and accessories to their line up. It was at this time that they changed the company name to Deb Shops.

Deb Shops has had serious financial problems since the recession of 2008. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and then again in 2014. The company was forced to close all 295 locations. Today, Deb Shops operates strictly as an online and catalog retailer.

Umbro was founded in 1924 in Winslow, Cheshire, England by brothers Harold and Wallace Humphreys. The company sells soccer (also known as football in some parts of the world) clothing and footwear. Although the company was owned and operated out of England for many years, it was sold in 2012 to New York based American company Iconix Group.

The company supplies many teams around the world with soccer uniforms and gear. They also offer “official” soccer team clothing and shoes to the public. Umbro is the official soccer supplier for most teams in Africa, the Americas, and Europe. The company also supplies uniforms and gear for handball, volleyball, and curling.

Umbro currently has 1,700 employees and has moved headquarters to New York City, New York as of 2013.

The company currently has more than 1,000 locations throughout the US and Canada, as well as an active eCommerce site. The parent company has recently begun to expand the chain to operate in larger cities. Maurices offers women’s clothing up to size 26, as well as sleepwear, shoes, and accessories.

In 2011, the company announced that they would offer a special line of clothing from designer Christopher Straub, from the television show Project Runway. Also in 2011, the company was named one of the Top 10 Best Employers in Retail by Forbes.

Due to the coronavirus, many Maurices locations were shut down in early 2020. By June 2020, however, the company hired back nearly all employees who had been laid off.

The company’s products are also sold in most upscale stores such as Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, as well as at beach resorts and hotels around the world.

Tommy Bahama was purchased by Oxford Industries, Inc., in 2003 and operates as a subsidiary. The company recently launched its own brand of rum in 2007. There are currently two varieites; White Sand, which is a light rum, and Golden Sun, which is a dark rum. Both flavors have won awards in the San Francisco World Rum Flavor Competition in 2010.
