Cintas Corporation was founded in 1929 as the Acme Industrial Laundry Company by Richard Farmer. The company originally collected chemical-soaked rags, washed them, and returned them to customers.
Today the company rents, sells, and leases uniforms and is the #1 uniform supplier in the United States with 900,000 clients, notably McDonald’s and MGM Resorts. Approximately five million people wear Cintas’ uniforms to work each day.
Cintas also manufactures shirts, jackets, slacks, footwear, clean-room apparel, flame-resistant clothing, uniform cleaning, first-aid and safety products, and document handling and storage.
The uniform market is expecting to experience explosive growth through 2026.
Cintas is outperforming other similar companies in 2020, despite the coronavirus.
Cintas trades publicly on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol CTAS, is a member of the S&P 500, is #572 in the Fortune 1000, has 45,000 employees, and had $4.09 billion in revenue in 2016.

On March 3, 2021 I completed a job for Cintas for Peter Rogers from the Cintas Office in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I was told I would get a check for $600 for the work I performed by April 7, Now, I’m being told it will be another month before I can get paid. So obviously I can not count on Cintas paying me so I would like to file a grievance and an online complaint and start a claim with the BBB and State Attorney General’s Office. Please call me to resolve this matter as soon as possible. 918-64*-****.

Jacob,
This is to notify you we are planning to cancel the contract with your company Cintas, Immediately. # 4067542211
We feel that your attention to our agreement has been less than any customer should expect from a company. Your Commitment to serve us has been nothing more than empty promises to this point.
You could not find the correct patches for AAA until I threatened to cancel ( its a national account with you )
you could not deliver uniforms in a timely fashion ( we are still waiting on one employees shirts for over a month since service started )
you only wanted to credit like 2.00 for a complete set of shirts on each invoice .
we cannot get your attention unless we are threatening to terminate.
The only time we hear from you is only after we have called numerus times.
Your company tout’s commitment to service however, the only way we get service is to be the squeaky wheel. If I ran my company the way you are dealing with us as a customer, well I sure wouldn’t need your service because I would be out of business, Nice to know such a big corporation with all the service people cant even keep a corporate moto truthful.

I’m writing you this letter to discuss an issue I’m dealing with regarding Cintas. I had noticed that our mat service hadn’t been exchanged in several months. I know the Covid-19 outbreak was to blame, but it still doesn’t justify the fact that I/my company was charged for 27 weeks of cleaning/exchanging that never occurred. This issue has been corrected, and the mats are now being changed out on a regular schedule.
I’m looking to receive a $1400 credit for this issue to our account , but have had no luck with my current Cintas representative. I don’t want to change vendors, your company has always treated us very well, providing excellent service on our first aid cabinets, eye wash stations, and uniforms.
As I finished typing this, I was informed that the delivery driver for Cintas dropped off uniforms and left without a signature on the invoice, no rugs were exchanged. This is the type of service I was alluding to earlier. This can not go on, your company name and reputation deserves better than this, please get this corrected.
I’m hoping that we can resolve this misunderstanding with a mutual agreement that will keep both parties happy. Thank you for your time…

I received a prompt phone call from Matthew McMillen along with Jeff Farren. They have credited my company account. We will be meeting next week to fix the remaining issues.

I worked a trial run for a mat roller at Cintas on 11 TH street in Rockford Illinois for eight hours and was promised by the supervisor to be paid $80.00 at the end of my shift work day, I asked about the check he said I would receive it in about 3 weeks, still didn’t receive it so I called Cintas human resources and they turned me over to ricky the supervisor , he told me corporate was cutting the check on September 25 th, now its September 30th and still didn’t receive the check, I’m not to happy how Cintas takes care of things so I will put in a complaint with the labor board and the better business bureau

I am not a customer or employee of Cintas, but PLEASE bear with me as lives are hurting.
I am a father-in-law of a young man that is a hard worker with an excellent work ethic that provides for his family that consists of a spouse, three beautiful boys, with another baby boy due in January 2020. He has raised his three boys to be polite, honest, and to do their best in school, which they have been. I am proud of how he has been raising his boys. I am a probation officer and believe me, this is something that many children are lacking in their lives theses days, a father who teaches them to be polite, caring, and honest.
I have been employed by my employer for over 41 years. My son-in-law of 13 years has been exposed to my belief of a strong work ethic and family values and has taken on these traits. His three boys look up to him tremendously and are proud of their father.
My son-in-law was terminated on Monday, 9/16/19 by your company, Cintas. He called me for lunch on Thursday, 9/19 to break the news to me. He was devastated. He was informed that he was accused by a co-worker of making a racial remark. HR investigated, interviewed four employees, and concluded to terminate my son-in-law.
Coincidentally, however, it came at a time when he was up for a promotion/position that he was told was being opened up specifically for him. All he had to do was file for the position and take the interview. For quite some time he was being groomed by superiors for upward mobility. He was even selected to take part in setting up the layout of two new buildings, one in Paramount, California and the other in Hawaii. He was sent to Hawaii twice, as a matter of fact.
We can’t help but feel that resentment and jealousy by coworkers was the root of this false accusation and defamation of character that lead to my son-in-laws termination by your company.
He’s a tremendous young man and your company just released a valuable employee due to an inaccurate investigation and conclusion by your HR department.
I was surprised to hear that there wasn’t a worker/supervisor conference after the accusation or that after the HR investigation he wasn’t written-up as a warning or offered diversity training. To immediately terminate employment was, I believe, extreme for an employee with many accolades vs. the accusation based on resentment and jealousy.
We are a family and I told my son-in-law that we will assist him, my daughter and our grandsons during his search for a replacement employer.

I know an employee at the Indianapolis, Indiana corporation for Cintas daily emails me nterior emails , calls me daily from her work at her desk from Cintas phone, makes racial remarks of minority what she would like to do to them, call me from her own cell phone daily, tells me that she is snitching on other departments, tells me that emails are being sent by management of useage of cell phone, production of calls. That Cintas will be monitoring phone calls, emails, production. When she applied for she lied on her application, even put me down as a referral as a manager I told her no I was not going to lie. Cintas not knowing her past jobs, she would walk out making a screen each job, but tells Cintas family issues cause her to leave the job. . I saved all the interior emails from Cintas sent by her and a phone log of calls being made at her Cintas desk phone. Which I believe policy, regulation and privacy has been violated. The employee is still there. I would not have an employee like that. Trust is gone.. So there’s interior emails from Cintas out there by her. Look out.. Cintas must monitor their employees better, emails, phone calls must be listen to which are not work related . Ban phone cell usage and taking pictures at the desk too. I do have several pictures taken at her desk!!!

My daughter got a job with Cintas and was very excited. She drives a delivery truck several months later she is pregnant. She had some minor complecations and was put on some lifting restrictions. She only needed help for one day during the week and management refused and told her she couldn’t work. She ended going back for a visit for him to change the restrictions because she can’t go that long without pay. She tried contacting corporate but after several calls no return call.pretty dirty way to treat employees. We are only praying nothing goes wrong. I doubt the management has a concern.

I have a private school and childcare center in Philadelphia. Cintas services our fire protection systems and burglar alarms. Every year, the City requires a backflow test and a certificate from the backflow inspector which is part of Cintas’s responsibility. For the third year in a row, Cintas has performed the backflow inspection but has neglected to send the test report into the City resulting in my receiving threatening letters from the City demanding the report be sent. I can’t send it. Only Cintas can. I have written Cintas, specifically, Eric Myers, the person designated as Fire Service Manager. He has ignored my email. I am certain the many other fire protection companies in the Philadelphia area would love to have our account. If someone does not respond by Monday, July 23, 2018, I will find a new company to do business with.

Hello all… I am not an employee, but I have put in a number of applications for a few different positions at different locations. My resume and work history is good… Application is complete… License is valid… Everything checks out. I even still work at my current employer. The reason for my comment today is with all that I said about application, I keep getting the “regret letter”. It’s starting to get frustrating because I’ve received three of these letters I’m a week. Makes me question the selection and screening process… How exactly do they “select” which applicants are “qualified” to do the job!? I am more than qualified for the positions I applied to, so I am approaching the point where an explanation is necessary to justify three “regret letters” in one week… If someone reading this has any information or can provide some clarity about what’s really going on here, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks all.

I would like to just just vent a little, I recently applied for a route driver position I did the ride along 5 interviews and even interviewed with the general manager. I was told to call back in a week, then another week so on and so on. This latest for a month, every time they told me they have not made a decision. I just don’t get it. Also they promised me $80.00 for my day of work for the ride along which I never saw. Maybe it’s a good thing they haven’t gotten back to me if this is how they run their business. Thanks

I applied for a job with Cintas. They run out of Calgary Alberta Canada. To work at the Cargil plant. I knew when I left that day I would never get a call back. Just call it a gut feeling. What really ticks me off is that they make you sign a doXXXXent about receiving a check for your time when you do a day trail to see if you are good enough to work for them. It has been 3 weeks and still nothing. So why get a person to sign this when you don’t deliver.

Hello my name is Joseph Loccisano, I am the owner of Villaggio Restaurant in Queens New York. I have been trying to resolve an issue with my account 17124. The problem is that when first started with cintas back in July 18th 2017 I informed the company in July 25th that I could no longer receive Pants and shirts for my kitchen staff because I was not aware that I was still in contract with another company. I explained that I can still receive all other products like soap and paper goods. I have been trying to resolve this issue but nobody in the company wants to help me. The delivery people keep dropping off inventory and charging me for inventory that i’m not supposed to have. I have Four employees and my inventory says 120 shirts and 120 paints. I explained to the driver the situation but they don’t want to here it. They said they cannot take it back and to call my sales rep. I feel like i’m being bullied by your company. The only response I received was to pay for all the inventory that was connected to my account. meanwhile every single invoice till today November 15th 2017 was completely wrong and needed to be adjusted because of overcharges.

MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
At Cintas, honesty and integrity are at the root of the decisions we make, the products and services we provide and the way we help our customers get Ready for the Workday™.
Corporate Culture
“Corporate culture is the single most important distinguishing factor between greatness and mediocrity. It is a major reason Cintas is different from our competitors and other companies. It is our ultimate competitive advantage.” Richard T. Farmer Founder & Chairman Emeritus
Since 1929, when “Doc” Farmer began his family business, a key to our success has been a culture that encourages meaningful, respectful relationships between the company and our employee-partners and the commitment to always do what’s right. This spirit of teamwork, camaraderie and trust has become our most important competitive advantage and is a cornerstone of the Cintas culture.
Cintas,
You speak of honesty, integrity, encouraging meaningful and respectful relationships as well as doing what’s right! These words are straight from your website. But, I can honestly say, this is not the feeling I get doing business with you. I’ve left several messages for Roxy Zambora and never a return phone call. I had to call her back a few times to finally get a hold of her, but still with no resolution in regards to the past due invoice or the balance due on an invoice that was short paid.
Also, our terms are net 30. I spoke with Darren Castro GM of your location in Henderson Nevada about changing the terms on the PO and he assured me payment would be on time, as his response was, “do you know who Cintas is”? He also had Mary Alvarado send me a screen shot of when payment would be sent. Invoice 0043588 was due on 8/27/17. An undated invoice was sent on 9/7 and looking at the check stub dated 9/8/17, payment must have been processed. We received the check on 9/13, however it was short paid the late fee.
I would like some resolution today, as I know who Cintas is and can’t believe I have to send this type of email.

Good morning,
My name is William Heckstall, back in September 6, 2016, I order 74 t-shirts and 74 hats for my employees here at the City of Richmond. Our Cust. # is 3514. Thankfully, I received my order except for one t-shirt. The route driver Michael Trimble has done NOTHING wrong, but this gentleman Travis Tong has decline to return any of my phone calls. The customer service I received from Travis Tong is undesirable. I have been waiting for 1 6x t-shirt SKU 11919RG6XLSS, Description NAVY/COTTON. This past summer, I was planning to re-order more t-shirts through Cintas, however do you not blame me for not making that call. So I call another one of my vendors. However, this past week I was reluctant to order a jacket from Cintas but I did with no dilemma thanks to Michael Trimble. So now Cintas won’t their money from me? Please help.

My husband worked at Cintas in Rockford tn he was dismissed because they said he lied about a part of a job. When HR ask him about the job he told her it was done because his partner told him it was done and apparently he told HR and the deepclean manager that it wasn’t done. He should have been the one that was fired a customer was charged for a service that he was suppose to have done or the market manager for not doing his job. They told my husband that honesty and integrity is all they have so let me tell you about their honesty and integrity the market manager has charged customers for numerous services in the past that wasn’t done he was told that floors wasn’t sealed he he would charge customers anyway he told my husband they won’t know it wasn’t done he would charge for purge strips when he was told they were out of them because he didn’t order them any he would tell him to wash the old ones off. His guys would go out of town and he would short them their money he even went and picked up two of the guys that the truck broke down and bought beer and let them drink while on the clock that’s what honesty and integrity means to that place. Thanks for your time I had to let you know what goes on at that place

This is the second time I have contacted you about this problem. My son has worked for Cintas for several years. He is currently and has been for some time harassed at work. They are constantly making up things they cannot prove and writing him up. I have talked to Jennifer in HR and so has Chad about the constant harassment and the hostile workplace he has been working in. I think it is about time to hire an attorney to look into this situation. If they want to get rid of Chad, they should just fdire him instead of making his life a living hell to go to work. He is looking for a different job, but it shouldn’t have come to this. This problem started when they wanted Chad to work in the warehouse instead of drive as he was hired. After driving for probably two years, they decided he should be certified to drive. He passed all the tests except they flunked him for certification on an interview. No one else was tested this way for certification. After they flunked and he didn’t receive certification, they had him drive when they needed a driver. This company is known for being a good company to work for and having good relationships with their employees. There is a definite problem with the management in the Hays, Kansas depot. I would hope as this is my second time contacting you that someone will follow up on this situation. When someone is constantly harassed and blamed for things that cannot be proved he had anything to do with, a problem lays not with him, but with the management.

Have been trying to get a lot of problems handled in the lower Texas area. I have been employed with VMW for 5 years now. In that time I have used the CINTAS laundry service for less than 6 months total due to the terrible service. Finally got tired asked the owner of VMW to discontinue service. When I washed the uniforms myself I had great results. CINTAS is now trying to charge my employer extra money for stained uniforms because they can’t get them clean and all I wanted was the zipper fixed. Could someone from Corporate please contact me this is pathetic.

My husband was with cintas for almost 4 years and never had any problems. Matter of fact he was bragged on and ask how far he wanted to go in the company until he got hurt in May this year. We wanted to just file on my insurance but his boss demanded to file a work comp report. Work comp denied and so did short term disability saying it’s a work comp. issue. Well because neither wanted to pick up we had to speak to a lawyer to find out what to do. The lawyer sent an email saying the law says one must pay. Short term did pick up, he had his shoulder surgery and went back to work the first of October. He worked in the office from end of May til he left for surgery cause his shoulder was so bad. One he returned he worked for an entire month in the office and then out of the blue the HR manager says they are sending him home with pay due to him being investigated about customer complaints that apparently came in right before his surgery. He was told this on a Friday and was told Monday he’d know something. For two weeks he got the run around and wasn’t even told details and his HR wouldn’t even listen or talk to him. The day before Thanksgiving he was called in and told he was fired. Now I’m not going to give all the info on here but I will say we believe it’s retaliation and he was seen as a liability so they found a way to get rid of him. Alabama may be a work a will state but there are still laws that protect ppl in situations like this. Also in Alabama it says a conversation can be recorded as long as one person knows it’s being recorded and they are a party to it and that one person can be you. With that said you can read between the lines. I come from a family of law and I’m sure the customers and other employees don’t want to have to swear under oath but because cintas did my husband so wrong they left no choice but to fight his unlawful termination. Many ppl give up but I’ll be the one to stand for what’s right for us and others. This was the Madison office btw. I’m really wondering if corporate office Mr. Farmer or corporate HR (can’t spell her name) knows what has went on. I do plan on finding out.

Cintas is one of the most racist companies known to mankind. Pure favortism as far as race and social class. Minority’s don’t get the opportunities to grow within the company. At each and every location, the ratio of Latinos and African Americans that work in the plant opposed to the front office is mind boggling. My location in St. Charles 452 refused to let the plant workers fill out the annual survey. I could go on and on, just an extremely unfair company. Great and loving employees but the ones in the position of power are pure demons.
