My teenage son works for Panera bread in Tarentum, PA. We had a family emergency tonight while has was working. I called the store to get a hold of my son. I was told by the manager “Mel” that hey were busy and he couldn’t cone to the phone right away. When I demanded that I speak to my son immediately she hung up on me and would not answer when I tried repeatedly to call back. This is completely unacceptable I want that manger fired.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been trying to get a pair of boots that I ordered on August 13, 2021. To date, I still do not have what I ordered. Order # SO000106981. After receiving my order confirmation and then waiting for weeks and nothing arriving, I called to check on my order. I was informed of some internal software changes that have disrupted the flow of order processing. As a business owner myself, I understand growth and how rough changes can be at times. Not a problem, I waited patiently, and the wrong pair shows up. I called and was told the pair I ordered was no longer available in my size, although they did see a pair at another location so, the associate helping me was going to speak to the manager and call me back. That call I waited on also never came, no email, no response! Still, I waited patiently for something to come.
Finally, I received a package from Cavender’s assuming it was the original boots I ordered, only to discover after opening the package, not only was it not what I ordered, but nothing I would wear. Then, upon opening the box I realized they placed the same pair of boots I just rejected and sent back placed in a mislabeled and used box. Again, I called, and a very nice associate helped me, sent me another call slip to return the boots, and once again I was told, they did show the boots I ordered in the system, but it would be Monday before she could have them pulled to confirm. I asked if she would be kind enough to email me a picture of what they have so I could save Cavender’s some shipping cost and myself time and further frustration if they were not the boots I ordered originally. She assured me she would do this. As with the previous associate, no call, no email – NOTHING!
Without options, I must stop what I am doing, take time away from my day/business to start trying to call again and now I get a hold message that I was #47 on the waitlist. I appear everyone is having issues. I like to stay actively involved in our business and with our customers. As with most business owners who work this way, I simply do not have time to sit on a phone and wait for or track down an answer that I was told I would be receiving on an order I have already been very patient with and tried multiple times to get.
To speed the process up and get my order closed, I suggested to the associate, if they did not have the pair I originally ordered, and really wanted, I do have a couple of alternative options. However, we were unable to discuss those options because I never received any further communication. NO CALLS – NOTHING! I addressed my return package to the associate, placed copies of all my previous emails, and made sure she had my contact information.
With my frustrations over this simple fix growing, because no one will call or email me back, I have tried several times to call with little to no success in getting through. With each attempt, I am notified of my call wait status and stay on hold if I can and with each attempt, the wait time gets longer and my position for waiting gets a higher number. today I was number 77!! I am sure that when Mr. and Mrs. Cavender’s founded the company in 1965, their success wasn’t built off poor customer service. If the current customer service policy doesn’t change, the new team will never see another 56 years. in fact, the stores won’t last much longer at all.
If anyone is really reading this web page after page of customer complaints, and you actually read my frustrating complaint, would you please be kind enough to look in the system at my original order placed back in August – sales order: SO000106981 and read all prior attempts noted in your system, try to help me bring closure to this order by first filling what I intended to order and if that can’t be filled, I emailed the 1st option to your associate who last helped me and then ask someone to contact me that cares about the customers who have built Cavender’s to confirm receipt of this message and provide me with my order status.
I founded my company in 2004. I built everything from scratch. The company was built on a very simple foundation – SERVICE! Before, during, and after the sale. The first sale is always the easiest, it’s what we do and how well the customer is informed throughout that process that will provide us the best opportunity we will ever have with them – that next sale. Our primary markets are the gun and fishing industries. Each time I walk into a meeting with one of our customers, they always have a comment about the pair of boots I am wearing and ask where I find these boots. I believe in giving everyone a chance and I also understand hitting bad patches when we are growing. But enough is enough.
I would love to walk into one of my accounts and not only talk about the pair I have on from Cavender’s but also talk about the experience I had that will keep me as a customer. If you do not care about my business, just provide me a refund, and I will go trade with someone who does.
Sincerely,
Bubba

Good day Cavender’s Western Outfitters, My name is Eddie Green, I’m a product developer from Louisville KY. I have developed a patented life saving product that I believe would be an absolutely perfect fit for the Cavender’s Western Outfitters Stores.Obviously the staff members are aware of slip trips and falls ,but are the employees and customers informed daily to think safety first? I was hoping that Cavender’s Western Outfitters would be open to outside safety solutions ,and If so, I have a website that will quickly highlight the benefit of this product . Please let me know to whom I may send more information… perhaps that person is you? Thank you for your time (please see website smartsafetytechs.com )

Was shopping in the women’s department today at the cavenders in Nebraska. Over heard the store manager fire a young lady for being sick too often? My immediate reaction was to say how unjust that was, but had to go find my wandering daughters. My assumption was the young lady had every good intention to call in if she was that sick. If cavenders allows such unfairness, then my business is best kept elsewhere.
Secondly; The lady who was helping me was in that office as well, and I am highly disappointed in her knowledge of products for appropriate events. Tried to ask which jeans for my daughter stock show would be best and she picked out some god awful ones. Not surprised by looking at her style and unfit clothing.

I just went to Cavender‘s on Bryant Irvin St Fort Worth. I found a short sleeve western shirt with an original tag priced $4.99. I took it to the register & it rang up as $4.99. They asked the manager if it should be 4.99. He said no. It should be 19.99. The tag was printed as $4.99 and it rang up as 4.99 but yet they wanted to charge me 19.99. They wouldn’t sell it to me for the $4.99. I didn’t get the shirt.

Recently I was let go due to an altercations I have had with 2 older sales associates @ Cavender’s#33. I thought harassment was not allowed in the work place. (They would constantly kept asking about my sex life.) I’ve told them repeatedly told them that I don’t want to hear it. I was a stocker in the back room for 2 yrs. & I loved my job. During the altercation I was opening a box with my knife. I guess he though I was going to do something too him which I wasn’t . I had enough of them asking about my sex life . Management had a talk to the 2 of them but nothing happened to them. I don’t think that right, this is something I think the Cavender boys should know about!
I was a hard worker:
1) I was always on time for work.
2) Did was I was asked to do.
3) volunteered to stay late in nessary.
I have nothing against management but
I would really like to have my job back please.
Thank You

My name is victor cepeda i have been employed at cavenders in mcallen texas store # 51 more than 9 years. For all the many years ive been there, i have never had any issues until we got a new manager. An unprofessional manager who disrespects everyone under him. Its been more than a year that our old store manager left to another store. He was a very respectful and professional manager. When this new manager came to work at our store alot of things started to change. We were open to a new change, a new way of working, new fresh ideas etc. Instead this new manager came full of arrogance thinking he was better than anybody here at our store. He never made a meeting to present himself as the new manager. Many of our co-workers have suffered under his poor management skills. He started to fire many of them for no reason. Some of our co-workers made letters explaining how he disrespects us and treat us like hell, well nothing happened, district manager didnt do anything, HR didnt fix anything either. This past saturday april 8 2017 he called me into the office and sent me off with his excuse that i wasnt wearing the appropriate brand of jeans. He expects us to wear certain brands only and yet we dont even get paid enough to have money for it. Stating that he needs people that stay quite and even if he puts you down we need to stay quite making him feel bigger and powerful. He stated that he’s not scared for me to contact corporate he knows nothing happens anyway. I didn’t go to work the next day i thought i was fired i just called to confirm and sure enough they said because i didn’t go on sunday he taught i quit. He does things very tricky. I just thru away 9 years of working at cavenders.

Today I visited my local Cavenders store #53
in Brownsville , TX and was so disappointed with with the results that were my out come. After being what i consider a good cosumer that has had many , many purchases with little complaints on my Double H boot heals.
Back in July 29 of 2016 , purchased my 8th pair of DOUBLE H boots and was told by the store manager that my NEW boots were going to have 1 full year waranty . The Manger even wrote with a sharpie marker the store number, date of purchase, and transaction number on my inside of boot . That if i had any issues with my NEW pair within that year , they would replace them no questions asked, here we are 8 months later, and not the year as expressed and promised to me , they tell me “the 2 month replacment is due, so we can sell you a new pair for 1/2 price or send your boots to have boot heal renailed”.
All i can say is all my family and friends shop there and this will not fit well with them either. Good thing we now have other options of western outfit stores to buy from and hope things go well for ALL OUR boot and clothing needs.
Cavenders has got to be a JOKE with their lieing personel and laim excuses.

I have been in your store multiple times, and every time I’m never greeted, helped or ever acknowledged. I went into your store in Colorado Springs (off Powers) because my stepmom wanted jeans for her birthday. Upon finding her jeans, I found a dress on your “Buy One Get One Free” rack. After trying it on, I found another dress to go with it for the sale. My stepmom goes to check out, and the total is $180! I explained they were “buy one get one”. The young girl at the counter said “These numbers are different (given they were barely noticeable) and this one is a different sale.” She proceeds to look me up and down and say, “I could do it for you, but you just need to go find something else!!” I told her to forget both then.
Here are my issues:
1. You have a staff at that store who obviously believes they are in the movie “Pretty Woman” and can treat people based off the way they are dressed OR they are just too lazy to acknowledge anyone.
2. I am beyond livid for my stepmom, who went in to shop for jeans, on her birthday, and was never once helped, acknowledged or asked if she needed assistance; instead I helped her by bringing her jeans, finding the right pair and making her feel beautiful in your over-priced clothes.
3. You have someone who would rather trash me on your coding of sales, rather than acknowledge the mishappen on their part for it being on the wrong rack. As if I should have known better.
4. You have a reputation among people in Colorado Springs, as the store to avoid like the plague, unless you know what you want and don’t care how you’re treated.
5. Being in media, geared toward your demographic, I’m highly disappointed in my stepmom’s and my treatment in your store. The staff managed to belittle me based on my attire or assumption of who I am, rather than as a person. With my job, I find it extremely sad that our demographic will run into the same issues at your facility. For that reason alone, I’ll never suggest your store and will never go in again!

Today I need to get some new shirts at cavenders as I feel has good selection of them. I walked in and the place was busy and no one ever greeted me when I came in. I did notice the about min after me some people came in and immediately was greeted. Hmm! While walking around looking for shirts sale people walked by not once asking me if I needed help. Poor customer service to me. Busy or not. While I was at the register Brianna never said hi or asked me if I found everything. Again piss poor service. I spent $140 and would of spent more getting boots but since no one was willing to help, I just spent that much. $140 to much for poor unexpected service. Ticket 11834 store 28 feb 11 2017 5:06pm. I had a horrible experience at the Killeen location and probably will not be returning. We received no customer service. We did not get any help with picking our boots. Employees walked past us and just looked at us. We are paying customers. We walked up to the counter and the lady in front of us got all smiles and a “have a good night.” It was our turn to pay the cashier looked at my husband and told him the total as if he could not afford it and like asking him if it was an okay price. If we could not afford our purchase then I don’t think we would have been in the store. Our boots were thrown in boxes and just handed to us. We did not get told to have a good night or anything. I am not one to throw the “race card”, but what they did was too much and disrespectful. My husband is an African American and I am a Mexican American. I can almost guarantee if my husband was in his Army uniform we would have been treated ten times nicer. For this to be a military town nobody has respect for others!

My 16 year old son, Anthony Marshall, has been working at the 410 location in San Antonio. Brett has been really rude to my son. This is his first job. He’s working really hard. With his first check they never did the direct deposit like they were supposed to. Brett had his check for a week on a Visa card and never said anything to my son. I told my son to ask. Until he asked Brett never gave him his money. Then he’s always yelling at my son. He complains to other employees about my son and he complains to my son about other employees. None of this is professional. One week Brett didn’t write his hours down so my son thought he wasn’t working. My son called in to check and see if it had changed over the weekend because there were still no hours on the site. Brett told him he was late and he should have been there. My son wasn’t signed up for work. My son has said he’s helped many customers when he’s done fixing jeans. Customers have bought a lot from his help. He’s also shaping hats. This more Brett yelled at my son for helping a customer. Brett’s behavior is not professional at all. My son loves working there but getting yelled at is making him feel down. Again my son is learning. It’s his first job and he just turned 16. Can anything be done about Brett attacking the employees and his unprofessional behavior? Thank you for your time!

Today Dec 26,2016 I visited you Rockwall Tx store as I have several times before, I use to shop Sheplers in Mesquite but no longer live close. I went into the Rockwall store about 3pm today to buy s combo Christmas Birthday gift of boots. I found out the sale was off the 24th but continued to shop I found a pair of Justin work boots I really liked an the sign said $20. Off they fit an I liked the style. Took them to check out an they told me sign was let up by mistake. Now at this point I have to tell you I am retired fro one of two large big box home improvement stores as a assistant manager for 10 years so I have dealt wit every kind of customer problem out there. The sale lady at cash register said they would not honor price then she turn an ask manager and he said no Ok you left price on it is 3 ish so you need to honor it. Needless to say I left. Wife said lets go to Greenville store. They had same boots with a $20.00 off marked I ask sales lady and she said yes that’s what is marked which I think her name was star very helpful. Went to register ladies there very professional told me sale was off but let them check with the manager. She said if we left price on them honor it then remove the price. Not only did they honor it they ask to see credit card an I D which I greatly respect. As a manager for retail for – 10 yrs you need to take that Greenvile manager an have her train the Rockwall manager how to do their job. I will continue to shop Greenville but never again set foot in Rockwall this is not the first time they
Have not been customer friendly to myself and other I have talked with it all about the money an not including a good shopping experience. Thumb up for Greenville Tx store

I had a really good experience at the Killeen location. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The only recommendation I would make is that you offer a military discount for active duty and veterans. This will show your support for the community as well as promote increased sales for your business. After all, Ft. Hood is the largest military installation in the U.S.
