I do not recommend car shield at all. My car was in the shop as of September 19 and they kept rescheduling the inspector to come out and when they finally did not only did they know about the issue that was with the car they found another issue with my axle gaskets and they will not extend The car rental. You would think with a company like this they would help their customers but no, so I do not recommend car shield.

Bunch of scams . Not reliable . Would never recommend to anyone. Took them 2 weeks to check a claim for it to be denied. While you guys are quick to take your monthly payments but can’t provide a service.. And then to top it off I called to cancel my account because obviously am not happy to be told yes you will be refunded in 3 to 5 business days to get another phone call that my policy passed the 60 days mark and after all will not be refunded. This company is just a scam.

I have my contract about 3 months and finally need it my car broke down and towed to the shop you all requested was disapproved talking anti freeze wasn’t clean bunch of my fluids was replaced before they pickup the truck never received a contact with that information so much lying I wish I never got this junk and will never refer this company to anyone it’s a rip off and some woman at the had the nerve to get smart. That dealership had my SUV for a week. They were telling me that car shield had not made a payment. And they have been going back and forth trying to make a settlement. Forgetting to order a part and get caught in the lie then indicates “we are all human and we make mistakes” is not good enough especially when I have been calling in for the last few days to be lied to being fed with it has been shipped out 4 days ago. Claim#MRF 3859815 my transmission needs to be replaced. My vehicle is at the mechanic for the last 3 weeks. I’m paying upfront for a rental car, current charges $1950 for 3 weeks and I know it will be at least another week. This is beyond ridiculous, I can’t here 24/48 hours we are reviewing your claim, anymore – it’s been 3 weeks. What kind of fraud is going on here?! What is so hard on making a decision in a timely manner?! You advertising services you are not providing, you collecting money but you are not providing services consumers are paying for. I think CarShield is ripping people off, I got a warranty with them and like someone else said that they do not honor what they speak about in there commercials. I had a claim denied because they’re telling me that the problem occurred during the waiting period which not accurate. I still haven’t been officially notified by the adjuster, I had to call to see what the holdup was and got this response from some random customer service person reading off of her screen. And not being able to ask her any questions as to why it was denied and what was there process of denying my claim and why they didn’t notify me.

My vehicle has been in the shop for over three weeks.carshield doesn’t want to pay for the repairs. They look for a way to not pay for your claim. They told me that the part isn’t covered but it’s a internal part this is the only vehicle I have to get back and forth to work.l can’t afford a rental car which they only pay for one until you vehicle is actually been worked on not when it’s sitting in the repair shop. something needs to be done about how they treat hard working people

Carshield and iced tea are both frauds they did nothing that they say that they would do on TV that commercial is misleading and deceptive car show would not give me a rental car and they would not pay for my auto repair I was with carshield for 2 years file one claim and they failed to pay.

This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with…The BBB rating tells all…They took another payment without authorization (3rd time) and, at this stage, refuses to refund my payment. I would warn everyone to stay away from CarShield. The Customer Service Dept is loaded with argumentative children.

Hi. My name is Michael and I too am a veteran on a fixed income. I too am going through hoops with CarShueld right now. When I took my car in to be serviced I found out that they had switched me from Diamond to Gold, so my service was denied and I ended up paying nearly $1400 for my car to be fixed. Even after they admitted there mistake by checking phone records I am in a fight to get my money reimbursed. I may end up taking them to small claims court

I am a 100% disabled veteran also. This company plays games that are dangerous. They denied my second claim after they approved the first claim. I have never missed a service on my 2017 Silverado. The dealership had to fight to get the motor mount replaced. Then a week later they denied my other claim for the torque converter. The adjuster stated to the shop that my claim should have no problem because everything is in order. They denied my claim because my policy didn’t state that my truck was lifted. So they charge me 25.00 to add that information to my policy. Which had nothing to do with the issue. I ended up paying 2900.00 for the repair. All because I needed to add 25.00 dollars to my policy! Amazing

I have been with carshield since 2019 and have never filed a claim. I just filed my first claim April 27, 2021 and guess what I am still waiting on my vehicle to be repaired. It has been in the shop since April 27, 2021 and it is June 28, 2021 it is still in the shop. I called and called and nothing still has not been done. Carshield is hereby one of the worse warranty companies that I have came across. If you want a good warranty company I don’t suggest Carshield because they are taking our money and nothing is being done. I suggest we all get together and start a lawsuit against Carshield, and Ice Tea for false advertising. I think if we band together we can cause and effect. It is time to stop these scammers.

Sounds like I’m having a similar issue as you my car has been in the shop for over 2 weeks for 1.3 hours worth of work. I’m keeping all documentation on this claim, the people change notes and policies on each call. They must have some notes on there now that I’m a hostile client and now I get cut off, hung up on or told sorry as per policy\contract I cant do anything for you. I ask that you put yourself in my shoes, my car has been in service from June 6th to now claim was delayed until the 8th because of issues with the “claim system”. Work was authorized, parts were ordered and delayed and backorder because Car-shield didn’t want to send the part they had because it was $31 more than the part that could be ordered in Pittsburg so we lost three days there. Once part came in on Monday, car was charged, fluids put back in and pully tensioner and serpentine belt was replaced then codes could be pulled and car center was told when calling in to carshield that an inspector should have been scheduled out before any work should have been authorized. (Delay 1) So car center had to pull the car apart again and put back broken parts so inspector can see the car, So Tuesday, when no one showed up, called again and was told although an inspector was supposed to be scheduled it never was (2nd delay) an inspector was “expedited” by the adjuster to be there Wednesday, once again no inspector, (3rd delay) so called back and was told inspector will be there Thursday (they have a 48hour window despite the “Expedite” ) Inspector showed up Thursday at 3:45pm and told car center that he was going to Colorado and that he wouldn’t be back until Monday. Once claim is in and approved then they would allow the vehicle to be serviced. The first issue still has not been addressed because of delay with part and waiting for inspector, probably won’t be addressed until Monday or Tuesday and I will be without a car for 2 weeks at that point for labor hours that only equate to 1.3 hours…… This is totally unacceptable on so many levels…. Carshield has 4 hour policy before they authorize a rental vehicle. Which is a joke at best. These surveys go nowhere, I’m sure that I will not get a call, although every customer service rep has empathized with me that this is not right they have also said “this is in the contract nothing I could do because of the adjustor, inspector and the 1.3 hours of labor” that’s a joke and then they say “I’m just a customer service rep, I can not change or amend the contract to give authorization for a rental.” I have called 5 different service centers that all have said they do not honor Carshield because of these type of company-centric policies that leaves the client holding all the chips and the service centers not able to fix the cars because they will not be getting paid for work that needs to be done. I was on the call when Matt the adjuster called Jackie the Car Center (certified mechanic a thief) that the work should not take 2 hours it should only take 1 hour because the book he is reading states so. She labeled step by step what needed to be done and he still said I have to go by the book, same guy who said the part was $31 difference in price and that’s why he would just have me wait for the back-ordered part, same guy that never ordered the inspector, but she’s the crook……? I just want my car fixed and back in my possession. I will continue to find a way to get to work with no help of this company that couldn’t care less how long my car stays in the shop because they can hang their hat on well it’s only 1.3 hours of labor in the contract it states nothing about how long everything may take to get the vehicle back it is solely on labor hours and they have the chips stacked against the client and the car service center because they are basing all the labor hours on a $39.99 book that is outdated and inaccurate in their favor. With practices like this there will be a class action lawsuit filed by someone for predatory practices and fraud. They do not abide by their own contract of delays caused by them to ensure that you are not left without a vehicle.
