The company was purchased by Pharis Tire and Rubber Company in 1943. In 1949 following significant losses Pharis changed its name to Carlisle Corporation.
Today the company has dozens of subsidiaries which manufacture and distribute a wide variety of products, including automotive products, construction materials, brake and friction products, and food service products.
Carlisle Companies’ two largest segments are Construction Materials and Interconnect Technologies, which manufactures products for the aerospace and defense industries.
