The company has also been nationally recognized for several successful fundraising efforts, including the Queen of Heart Ball for breast cancer research and the Valerie Fund, which benefits families of children with blood cancer. In November 2019, CareOne was ordered to pay a former nursing home administrator $6 million after a Bergen County jury found that the African-American woman was fired because of her race.
In April 2023, a former employee claimed she was fired after she complained about sexual harassment at the hands of her manager.
