Hello. Our grandson, Kaleb Rutherford worked driving a forklift and selecting product in “Sub_Zero” at the 75th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ McLane distribution center. He developed an impacted molar and went to a dentist. The dentist prescribed an antibiotic to reduce the potential of sepsis before extraction. He also prescribed a pain-killer which carried a warning not to drive motorized vehicles. Kaleb notified the distribution center HR department, as he could not call his supervisor, of the situation. Kaleb kept them periodically informed of his progress or lack thereof. When Kaleb was released to return to work he was allowed to work one day and terminated. While Kaleb was working he told us more than once that his supervisor praised his work and work ethic.
I find it hard to believe that Berkshire Hathaway would condone termination of an employee who was suffering from a medical condition and unable, temporarily, to work – I know Mr. Buffett wouldn’t.
I ask that the appropriate individual review the matter and, if it was as Kaleb told us, offer Kaleb the next same position available at, perhaps, the Goodyear AZ location. Should Kelab be brought back into the “family” I ask that consideration be given to his previous time counted towards his tenure.
I thank you for your sincere consideration of this matter.

Bought a used home from Clayton Homes in North Carolina and after it was delivered to my lot we were greeted with a heat pump condensor which had its refrigerant valves left open to the atmosphere leaving the condensor useless. The proper procedure for this, is to pull the refrigerant back into the condensor or recover it in a proper container and in both cases, close the valves to prevent contamination. I dont know for a fact if the refrigerant was released to the atmosphere, but that is a violation of EPA guidelines for recovery of refrigerants. The refrigerant lineset (copper pipes) appeared to be cut with either a hacksaw or a reciprocating saw.I will have to replace the condensor and more than likely the air handler.I bought this home thinking everything would be prepared for moving according to proper procedure and this included proper preparation of the heat pump.

I am writing to inform you that I have filed complaint with the NJ Board of Realtors and I plan on filing a lawsuit against two of your agents in your Cherry Hill, NJ office as well as your company. I am giving your company the opportunity to handle this without having to go through the troublesome and expensive legal process. Please keep in Mind the cost of the Home was $333,000 in a middle class neighborhood.
Your agents were both the agents on the file and the sellers of the home. They made numerous assurances, claims and assertions that they made repairs to the home that were called for during the home inspection and on my visual inspection of the home, to those items not addressed as sellers concession was agreed upon. My issue is that your clients made numerous false, misleading and fraudulent representations on the agreement of sale, the FHA amendatory clause and the sellers Property condition disclosure. To wit they failed to acknowledge and disclose:
Items 8-11 Attic Basement and Crawl Spaces
1) Problems with the operation of the sump pump
2) Water leakage, acXXXXulation or dampness within the basement crawl spaces
3) Noted attempts and repairs to control water and dampness in the basement
4) Cracks and bulges in the basement foundation walls
Plumbing, Water and Sewage
1) Leaks Backups or other problems related to plumbing
Heating and Air Conditioning
1) Are you aware of any problems with any items in this section
Land (soil And Drainage) Items 67 -72
1) Drainage or flood problems
2) Protected wetlands
3) Easements that affect property
Within 2 weeks of our occupying and moving into the property we started to experience problems with all 3 toilets in the home, contrary to the home inspection reports and emails from the sellers we were told that the toilets were repaired. We contacted a certified Plumber through the home warranty provided and it was determined that NONE of the toilets were anchored using anchor bolts to the floor causing them to leak urine and feces throughout the floor boards and under the tile flooring. The toilet flanges were completely rotted out and never repaired. This was annotated on the home inspection report and the sellers certified these were repaired – they were not. We had to replace at considerable expense all 3 toilets and in the main bathroom the underflooring was so rotted and stained with excrement that the bathroom floor had to be ripped out and replaced. Cost $3,000
Upon updating the home we had to pay an electrician to come in and fix according to code numerous electrical connections in the kitchen and the main power box as they were not working. The kitchen did not contain any GFI circuit switches and there were numerous connections at the main power box that were supposed to be fixed according to the Home inspection and were not. Ultimately we had to have a new sub panel installed to correct the problem cost $650
In March, the flooding that occurred on the property was so great that the sump pump as it was determined later approximately 15 yrs old and never serviced failed to handle the amount of water flooding into the basement and caused a flood of all of our household belongings in the basement. According to the neighbors The water damage was and is a KNOWN problem for this house and the surrounding homes and this was NEVER disclosed to us. In fact the homeowner had previous issues with water entering the crawl space and failed to disclose this issue to us – so much so that the city had to install a drainage pipe that runs through the property to relieve the water build up – there is an easement that runs the entire length of the property and this was never disclosed to us either. There is visible damage to the structure of the crawl spaces due to pressure damage of the water building up against the walls causing cracks and flooding during any significant water fall or rain. The back yard is Flooded out with even the slightest rain fall. This was also never disclosed to us. The cost of the flooded basement to repair the sump pump and our belongings was $5,000 and resulted in a claim to our insurance company.
The rain issue also affected the front of the house, the garage opening was not flashed properly nor was there any form of rain diversion ( drip edge) installed which caused the water to drain BEHIND the brickface and caused the brick face to push outward due to water build up behind it and along the lintel, the cost to repair this was $350.00
Finally in May of this year upon turning on the central AC, we could not get the house to cool off, we noticed the Fan in the attic was not working and was not repaired as the homeowner and agent represented it was so we contacted the home warranty folks who sent out a technician and we hired our own technician. According to both companies, the AC unit was visibly on its last leg and had had numerous repairs done to it – the term multiple bandaids and it was only a matter of days before the unit went was used by both companies. We had to have a new 4ton AC unit installed for $4,000.
All totaled at this point the sellers who are also real estate agents and who should know better have sold us a house on fraudulent basis and so far it has cost us $13,000 not including what could be a very expensive structural issue with the crawl space and the brickface damage. They knowingly sold us a home that was based on fraudulent misrepresentations on their part, I sending this over to my attorney and I will be looking to file consumer fraud if it applies and I will seek to recover triple damages as well as punitive damages it they are warranted. I will disclose the names of the agents to you should I hear from you prior to the filing of a suit.

My realtor and real estate attorney have both tried to rectify this situation but so far to no avail. Mr. Sanchez has been rude and vindictive and went so far as to raise the sq. footage even further. His broker “Mike” was notified and we are still waiting for results. We previously went to contract on this property and found all the discrepancies. Before we bid again, my attorney suggested this matter be resolved. I am an employee of a paint store group that sells you’re Lenmar brand of professional finishes. To keep it short you’re products in some cases need improvement. This particularly is applicable to you’re white conversion varnish product line S75X white base. I have seen and resolved several complaints concerning this product. The product is tricky to use as excess film build causes cracking. Competitors have products that do not have the problem to the same degree. An example of a product that is easier to apply and preforms better is the Acrom Pro previously a Becker product now Sherwin Williams. I would like to know what is being done on the R&D side to improve performance. My reputation as well as you’re rep. is being adversely effected by these failures. My ability to sell the Lenmar brand is causing loss of income and degrading the acceptance of the entire line. I have more to say regarding product development but this issue is primary. New lower VOC products are need to move forward. This is true in Lenmar but also Corotech.
I want to stay competitive and offer my customes the best solution to solve coating and environmental concerns.
Than You for you’re attention

We found out this spring that Oakwood charged her parents $20,000 more than the price we agreed on…. Then on top of that the crooks at Oakwood arranged a loan through Equity one to pay for a singlewide which we put on a lot for her son. We also found out that her parents also paid cash for the singlewide too …… I am contacting an attorney and the state Attorney General to determine our legal options…. but I would like to hear from you before this goes public once I pull all of the paperwork together ……….

Yesterday I heard that GILDAN (which is a very, very young company) made up of a high number of ex-Fruit of the Loom employees was number three in sales in the U.S. of underwear behind Fruit and HANES. Looks like they are getting “Their HANDS on HANES and, FRUIT, as well” It is also my understanding that GILDAN had a sixteen percent (16%) NET, NET PROFIT after taxes…oh yeah, we must remember that for GILDAN that means NO TAXES in the U.S.A., and that they will be debt free soon. They are also in the sock business. It troubles me that my orders with Fruit are not being shipped in a timely manner and could cause big problems to the retailers who will be hurt by the late deliveries, if they are delivered at all.. I am ready to throw my hands up and go back into full retirement after being super-successful in the off-price fleece and tee shirt (closeout & irregular) business that I brokered somewhere around $330,000,000.00 in my twenty-two year run…singlehandly, I might add. Selling the manufacturers “mistakes” that ended up in Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite Aid, Family Dollar, Dollar General, etc, etc. I am just a humble “broker, seller” who made “a silk purses out of sow’s ears”. What Fruit doesn’t realize is that all the closeouts and irregulars are much of the orofits of the company that MUST be sold to turn the “bad” inventory into working capital. It is really disheartening to see these GRAND OLD COMPANIES with such well known BRAND NAMES pushed to the wayside by an upstart named GILDAN which got it’s name Gil from Gilbert and DAN from Daniel when they needed a corporation umbrella and Gildan was available..They are to be commended for their success. Gildan has it together. I’ve been to Montreal and Barbadas each twice, met Glenn & Mike and other head, and done humongous business with them In their office in Barbados over their large board-sized meeting table hangs the mahogany framed Prospectus from when they went public in the 90’s with an inscription on the back thanking them for all their efforts, WHICH I GAVE THEM.
I have one small sample bag with several garments that FOTL & R-J currently manufacture in ther lines. However, my items are improved and if incorporated into their lines would in time gain them the MARKET SHARE in mens, womens, & childrens wearing apparel. I also have six chains in a particular industry that comprises 40,000 retail stores thar do NOT carry apparel and I would like to “open them up” with my improved garments. I need to tie in with FRUIT-R & J and they need me. I would like to meet with someone who CAN MAKE DECISION of epic proportion there at Berkshire Hathaway who oversees FRUIT-Russell_Jerzee.
I AM NOT looking for money, I have money to invest, what I need is the organization and assistance. After all, I am 72 years of age and experience. I certainly hope to hear from someone there at BH who is open to restoration.
Thank you,

How can FRUIT OF THE LOOM, & RUSSELL-JERZEE ever hope to compete on a level playing field with GILDAN, when Gildan pays zero (0) taxes here in the “Good ole U.S.A.” and only pays 1% Corporate Tax in Barbadas. No wonder they have 80% or so market share here in the U.S. That company has put so many American Mills out of business i.e. TULTEX & TEEJAYS, bought ANVIL, and made companies like HANES, FOTL, RUSSELL-JERZEE look like amatuers and gobbled up the tee shirt business as well as golf shirt and fleece business without paying a nickle in taxes…Shame on those in office who have let this happen.

I had full coverage on both on both cars at the time of the accident. The reason l had chosen (Geico) was because I had learned on PBS that GEICO was owned by ” Berkshire Hathaway”. I respect you as a man of integrity and expected your company to conduct itself with the same integrity as its owner. I am bringing this matter to your attention via this web page because I have been unsuccessful in having my car repair through your employees at ‘GEICO”
I had an accident (which is the reason we purchase car insurance) now for over a year, and to-date my car is still not repaired from the accident.
I have sent e-mail to your corporate office several times along with photograph of my damage vehicle, but to date I have not received a response from your corporate office, or anyone from GEICO.
I would appreciate it very much if you would direct someone in your office to assist me with having my car repaired.
thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
