Aveda was founded in 1978 by Horst Rechelbacher. While on a trip to India in 1970, Rechelbacher was introduced to the ancient Hindu practice of medicine called Ayurveda. He decided to make his own company using these naturalistic principles. His first product was a clove shampoo that he made in his kitchen sink.
Aveda offers personal care items, such as skin creams and hair care products, made as organic as possible. The company is unique in that it was the 1st to endorse a set of principles that encourages environmental responsibility in manufacturing.
The company had revenue in 2014 of $1.5 billion. Aveda was sold in 1997 to Estee Lauder for $300 million. Aveda products are sold in 150 countries with 40 percent sold in the Americas.
Aveda maintains a corporate office in Blaine, Minnesota.

I would like to know if Aveda plans to sponsor more readings for children by drag queens.

My granddaughter goes to the Lafayette, Louisiana. Aveda Institute Southside. She is in salon concepts when she should be in master junior. Her education is in danger of not being able to learn what she needs to pass state because the teachers are constantly being switched from the floor to the class, because none of the teachers want to be in the classroom teaching. The students are more on the floor making money instead of being in a classroom learning. The so many quotas they have to complete every day on the floor to get out the phase along with hours takes the whole day leaving no time for class. Also being sent home before completing her day and having to miss another day before coming back for not setting up a mannequin stand in enough time according to Miss. Delanny makes no sense and and also follows her around the school like Velcro is while other students clock in and leave for the day. Come back at 5:30, clock out and are just fine. While my granddaughter is no Mary Poppins she also has the right to an education that is not interrupted with teachers who try and make money for the school and have favorites that is not how you run AVEDA. Please respond. I am concerned about my granddaughter’s education. She loves Aveda and is looking forward to a career that Aveda provides for many. Thank you for you time. Please look in this matter. I am really concerned

First I want to say that I am a proud customer and fan of Aveda products for over twenty years. In reference to the Aveda store in Novi Michigan, at Twelve Oaks Mall, I came prepared to empty out my checking account, but instead; it was “unfortunate” that I had that less than pleasant experience while there. The female clerk lacked knowledge of the products, and for every question or concern that I asked, she had to consult with the other clerk; male “smarty pants” clerk! In my opinion the products sell themselves, so with no thanks to those two, I ended up finding the perfect skin regimen that I already love, so yay for me; I still win! The female clerk stated that she uses Aveda products … was she serious?? She had to be the worst in history; representation of the Aveda brand. In conclusion: “I will not be without my Aveda”, however, I could never shop at that store ever again!!! Be advised that those two I encountered on 9/6/2017, are a waist of fat meat on the payroll!

The Aveda Institute Jacksonville treats their students poorly. They drive them like slaves in order to make them money. The students don’t even get lunch sometimes because they don’t care about their well being. Constant favoritism is shown all the time towards certain students and others get screwed over

Hello my name is Daniella exama and today I been terminated by Aveda institute for being sick I had a health regulation issue that been going on for months now and the assistant direct at Aveda South let me explain my problem to her but show little interest of what I to say. I very upset because I only have a month in a half to be done with the program! I am exactly at 1351 hours. I put my heart and soul to be at this school. Just because I wasn’t feel good I got penalize for it. I even had to change my work schedule from working mid day shifts to working overnights because Aveda switch their schedules with students many times! I am very upset because I was getting closer to my goals and dreams. I feel I should not be students fault if we get sick because nobody can control their illness.
