The absolutely worst company to ever use. They fraudulently sold me a vehicle that later on I found out had actually had 4 owners and been completely totalled once before, colonial/carmart of America never did replace the airbags that had deployed the body shop found severe damage to the a frame fire wall undercarriage and main frame from said previous accident that was not disclosed at the time of purchase and due to them doing a landlord special on the vehicle after getting into a rather minor wreck it had to legally to totalled out due to the previous damage they never fixed. They also presented me with a false carfax, lied and said the head liner was just water damage and there was also a fuel leak dripping right onto the catalytic converter which basically made this vehicle a ticking time bomb. This company deserves to go bankrupt and be put in federal prison for their illegal and shady auto deals. If colonial/carmart had actually properly repaired the vehicle and replaced the airbags like I would think any normal person with morals would do I wouldn’t be stuck with a lifelong traumatic brain injury, severe ptsd, an eating disorder, thoughts of self harm, feeling hopeless, lost, discouraged, and heart broken to find out that I am not the only one this horrendous company openly and willing has been committing fraud upon. -10000 star rating. Oh and I am still waiting for your company to own. Up to your wrongs fix them and make everyone’s lives easier bur your company is full of heartless meat bags just looking to make their next buck!!! read less

Went into carmart of Prattville that I’ve bought 3 outher cars through. Well since day one I’ve had vehicle problems. Manager had said that the “managers special” was all I could get even with a car trade in the I bought from them and a 300$ down payment and I can only get one vehicle!?!. Problem after problem with my car. Went into office on the 7th day after having it and they would not put me in a different vehicle even tho I’m still current with the 7 say return policy. Manage pretty much made us get this crappy car and no one will do anything about it being messed up. My lawyer will be contacting corporate

I have bought three cars from your company and payed off two so far. The third one I’m more than half payed off . Do to the economic strain it’s been hard to pay the $535.00 so I contacted my local store trying to refinance for lower payments so I can continue to pay it off but I was told I couldn’t all I wasted to do is keep my record with this company. CarMart In Tyler Tx , The worst place to buy a car and they are very unprofessional especially if they don’t know what they are talking about. I purchase a 2011 Kia Soul as long as I had warranty the car didn’t tear up not even the lights popped on. But soon as the warranty was up the car starts going down hill , the tires was no good the abs is messed up and found out the alternator and battery was no good at all so that made me feel like the car was rig and I’ve only had it 6 months smh. Cory the manager is always giving the run around and heather is just rude as ever. How are you willing to negotiate and then when I go in it’s a entire story. What I see on my contract what they cover and take care of but when you bring that to they attention they catch attitudes.. they Tyler location is the worst location ever and I do not recommend anybody buying a car from them EVER !!!!!

Well I went to my local carmart today.
An the assistant manager told me I was approved to get into Mazda Turent today.
Said all I need to as proof of income an I could drive off today with it. Went an got my proof of income an the assistant manager did not want to deal with me so I had to talk to a women that did not know what we had talked about. So she did all the paperwork an I signed all the paperwork.
Then she started telling me I need this an this when the assistant manager an I talked nothing about that an he said I could get in the vehicle for zero down. Then she started giving me all these reason why I couldn’t get the vehicle like I had to have insurance before I could drive off with it but she didn’t want to give me the info I need to get the insurance eather
Then the manager came in told me I didn’t qualify for the Mazda after the assistant manager had said I already did an even shock hands on it. Then he wanted to put me into another vehicle s I did not want when the assistant manager showed me on his computer that I did qualify for the Mazda I wanted
Then the assistant manager came in said I don’t qualify for the vehicle after telling me I did an showing me on his computer I did.
Then he said I was 30 percent under what they need an need money down or a cosigner again after tell me I did with zero down so he turned around an lied to me in front of the manager an the other women that did that paper work.
An then offer to put me into a couple of vehicles I did not want so I told them just to tear up my application an I left an said that was shitty business practices
So I am going to file a complaint know with the better business bureau an my city council an the governor office again them

My husband had went into the saint Joseph MO location and had been told by a sales rep that we where approved had the car picked out my husband offered the 100 dollar down payment so we could reserve the car until we got paid. Was told by the rep that it wasn’t needed and that we had the car reserved. He had no reason not to trust this employee and figured the car would be held for us until we got paid. Which was only two days away. My husband goes back two days later with the money to be told the car was sold and that we wouldn’t be approved for any other car without almost 3x what we had to put down. The manager I talked to on the phone was rude and blamed my husband for listening to the employee. They aren’t supposed to do credit checks and he was told our credit was the reason we suddenly needed way more money down. When I asked the manager what occurred to make them need a credit check she wouldn’t tell me. We make more than enough ever month for the payments, my husbands work history was well past there cut off. We fit every criteria they had set for us to be approved and we got lied too. This is horrible business practices. I understand customers aren’t always right but to lie and them blame the customer for listening to an employee we had no reason to doubt is unacceptable. We didn’t even get an apology. This company shouldn’t even be in business.

Hello, I am reaching out to see if someone can help me. I bought a hummer truck in March and since the third day of having it, I have been back and forth to the shop. They have replaced numerous of parts on the truck and the truck still want function. Now Matt the owner of Car Mart in Columbus, Ms is telling us that his shops he uses can not figure out what is wrong with the truck. So I either keep the truck and park it because it is not drivable or do an involuntary repo. I have contacted cooperate office twice, talk to Matt a thousand times and nothing has been resolved. This will be my third car buying from you all and paying for the car has never been the issue. I just want a car that is functioning properly to where my wife and I can get to work. I’m not asking for money back or anything like that. I just want a functioning vehicle. I am asking for someone to please help me with this ASAP. We have never had an issue with Car Mart before. Up in to now it has always been our go to car lot.

We bought ours from Columbus and the shop they use ain’t doing their job. Ours needed a catalytic converter and they claimed they replaced it but they didn’t. Now the catalytic converter has burnt a hole in itself and we are having way more issues. We can’t even talk to Matt they refuse to let us talk to Matt

I am a current customer with the Harrisonville MO location. I have had my vehicle since January 15th 2019 and have had nothing but problems with the vehicle. My vehicle has been in the “shop” four times now, currently I dropped my vehicle off to the Harrisonville location on July 8th and yet to receive an answer on an estimated time that I will be able to pick my vehicle up. I have never received the proper paperwork need to register my vehicle! I have notified the BBB on this matter and your company is so unprofessional there was no response made to the BBB! I am requesting that this matter be resolved as soon as possible. I am current on my payments and have been throughout the timeframe the vehicle has been in my possession. I expect my vehicle to be running and to be provided with the proper paperwork to register the vehicle. I will be looking into potential litigation at that time!

I purchased a 2001 Ford Escape in 2014. Paid 11,000 for it. Still have it. So because my experience was so great I recently went back to Car-mart in Enid Ok. I spoke with the General Manager Wesley after test driving a 2006 GMC 1500 super cab pick up truck. I explained to Wesley I would have money to put on hold the 5th of September it would be in range of $300-$500 and on the 8th I would pay an upwards of $500 more. I was told by the General Manager Wesley that he would save the truck for me and no worries about them selling it that it was mine once I came up with the money by the 8th. Not to even worry about the hold money. I even already filled out the paperwork my Wife and I did. Two weeks prior. I show up yesterday to pay the hold money only to be told the truck was put on layaway for someone else on Saturday the 3rd. Funny part is I spoke to Wesley the General Manager on Laborday and he gave me the vin number so I could turn it over to my insurance on the 7th which would be the 7th the day before I was to bring the rest of the money to bring the truck home. I had talked to The General Manager Wesley at least 4-5 times 4 of the 5 times in person. I feel the truck was sold out from underneath me and am severely disappointed in the out come of this whole situation. The truck had some damage on the front passenger side which I spoke to Wesley and he told me he would fix it. That he had 2-3 spots open in the shop not to worry he would have it ready. Why tell me all this information and lead me on like this just to crush me at the end? My feeling is if it is true and he took hold money on the truck on the 2nd of September he new this when I talked to him on Labor Day face to face. If this is the case than the General Manager completely deceived me. I have not been giving an explanation thus far. I have only been told that he is in Kansas until Friday.All this after I had a horrible experience with the salesman James. I was willing to overlook this and still conduct business with Car-Mart. One of the last things Wesley the General Manager told me was he looked forward to earning our business again. HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO EARN MY BUSINESS LYING TO ME!!

So we recently purchased a car from the carmart in decatur first off this was the worst expierence of my life with a car place we’ve had nothing but problems with it since day 1 it had to go back 30 minutes after buying it cuz it had a busted motor mount and started over heating the coolant was brown as mud also it took them 4 days to finally get all that solved we’ve only driven for a total of an hour now. Now the transmission is starting to go out and even thoe we have a Warrenty they still are denying us help the manager there darren is a total jerk and doesn’t care about the customers he told me I’m stuck with the car weather we like it or not. He told us even after the 1st day if having it we said we want our money back. He told us there’s nothing we can do sold as is. So now we’re stuck with a car we can’t drive and have to pay for even thoe the parts that are broke are covered. By the Warrenty amd were still being denied service I don’t recommend this place to anybody biggest rip offs ever. The manager should Deffinently not be working thrre .

I have been doing business with car mart for about ten years now and have bought 3 vehicles from you.I love in cadiz key and do my buying from hopkinsville ky store.until recently I dealt with Kevin schible until he was moved to another position and then fired.in the years of doing business with you all Ive had good years and bad but the people there always worked with me so as not to lose my car.which brings me to 2016 in march of this year I became disabled and was put on a reduced payment until my disability was approved.well I got my approval in November and I took my proof of my payment and what time of the month I would be getting my pay.I went in and sat down with rebeca the manager and I explained I could no longer make payments weekly and that it would have to be on the 15 th of each month .I knew that in February. My payments would go back up to$105.a week which would be $420 .my problem is now they are telling me I kant do that by the month and its going to cost me $600 plus just to catch up and over $500 every time I make a payment on the 15th of each month.now I understand and realize u have had to ask for help before so I would not have them come get my car.but I do not understand some of the reasons Im being given and the math of this s is very confusing..I have been a loyal customer and really would like to keep doing so.I have recommended many friends to buy from them and have never taken or ask for their bonus for sending them to buy.I really did like the business plan that you all have.that is to help people like us that have little or no credit and even less income.I would appreciate the chance to speak with someone at corporate so they could help me understand just where I stand.I owe less than $5000 on the car now and realize I should have it paid for by now and that is my fault it isn’t.
