Curtiss-Wright Corporation Corporate Office

Curtiss-Wright Corporation was formed in 1929 when 12 companies merged to form the largest aviation company in the country with $75 million in capital.

The new company was made up of three main divisions: Curtiss-Wright Airplane Division produced airframes, Wright Aeronautical Corporation manufactured aircraft engines, and Curtiss-Wright Propeller produced propellers.

The company grew into an aeronautical pioneer and manufactured the engines that powered the B-17 bomber and The Spirit of St. Louis.
