This is kind of long! In Sept. 2021, at the Cleveland Avenue location in Canton Ohio. I called in and placed a order for delivery, I ordered 10 barbecue wings and 20 hot wings, Including an Italian sub with a order of “cheese sticks.”(after looking up your menu online.) When I called East of Chicago to place my order I asked the employee if they do sell “cheese sticks” like mozzarella sticks he confirmed and stated “YES” they do in fact sell cheese sticks like mozzarella sticks! So I asked for a side order of the “cheese sticks.” When I finally received my order… what I received instead of cheese sticks were breadsticks! I called East of Chicago back to inform them that one of my orders is wrong… that I ordered “cheese sticks” not breadsticks! The employee then proceeded to tell me that I did receive “cheese sticks” I said no… I received “breadsticks” the employee argued with me that what I received is cheese sticks! I stated I literally verified with you before I placed my order that you did sell “cheese sticks” like “mozzarella sticks” and I proceeded to tell him the order I received is not what I expected and paid for! He then placed me on hold and a different man got on the line and I also explained to him the Issue and that his co-worker told me it would be like mozzarella sticks! He basically called me a liar because he said he didn’t believe that the guy who took my order told me that and that he trusted his employee! I was appalled! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing… I then asked to speak with a supervisor and or manager. When the manager picked up the line he too argued with me that they do not sell cheese sticks and I then stated it’s on your menu that you do and with a actual picture of “mozzarella sticks/cheese sticks” I then asked why did his employer tell me that they DO sell “cheese sticks” if they don’t! He still kept arguing with me, being very nasty and very rude! He stated that what I received is cheese sticks and that he KNOWS his employee/ SON did not tell me that! So yea come to find out the guy that originally took my order was the managers son he was lying and covering up for. He stated there’s nothing he can do because he knows his son didn’t tell me that and my best bet is to call tomorrow for the owner of the store. When I asked for the names of the first two guys I spoke with as well as his name to report to the owner of the store. He would not give me their names he said I don’t need them and only gave me his name and hung up in my ear!! I couldn’t believe how rude and unprofessional these people were! They did absolutely NOTHING to try and fix the issue and make it better. I will never order from there again! They didn’t care at all that they were losing a customer.

If this is indeed the truth that you or their location don’t sell actual “cheese sticks” but “sell breadsticks” and call it “cheese sticks” with an actual picture of “cheese sticks that also look like mozzarella sticks, on their menu by the word “cheese sticks” and at their particular location. Then it should be changed and or updated because that is false advertisement.

I’ve NEVER came across employees including a manager that was so unprofessional and ignorant in my life! They were so rude to me, I am a customer spending money at their store! Horrible horrible service.

Just ordered pizza from North Ridgeville location took 2 hours showed up cold manager Dustin was rude became a total a****** and we will never order pizza from this place again. East of Chicago needs to retrain their managers on how they treat customers, Dustin disregarded any of our concerns and could have cared less that they were losing a customer .
Dustin was extremely rude and talked over us as we were returning the 2 hour late cold pizza. Been in customer service for many years. If I ever treated a customer in this way ..I most likely would be in unemployment line.

I placed an order for a meatball sub, and a foldover, I included a $10.00 tip for the driver. I waited over an hour for delivery. I called them, and then they said they would bring it over. When the driver got here, he said I owed another $2.00, and I said what for. He said for delivery. I was shocked. I will never order from your place again.

at 8:44pm thurs. dec, 12th i ordered a med. loaded crust pizza with pepperoni & banana peppers on the whole thing & half italian sausage & other half mushroom.
    a chef. salad
    a 6″ Italian sub
& an order of cheese sticks
but did NOT recieve that instead i recieved a med. loaded crust pizza with pepperoni & banana peppers on 1 half & pepperoni & banana peppers & italian sausage & mushroom on the other. as well as i recieved a plain side salad not a chef salad. & last but most importantly i got garlic cheese bread not cheese sticks. the only thing that came correct was the 6″ Italian sub.
so i called the manager “mike” & explained to him & he said he would fix it & send out the correct order, but when i recieved my replacement order it was wrong again!!!!!!!! wth
i once again recieved garlic cheese bread instead of cheese sticks. so i called the manager “mike” back AGAIN, telling him they once again got the order wrong, that i received garlic cheese bread instead of cheese sticks, his reply was ” what you got were cheese sticks” to which i reply wrong, its the same mistake you made the first time, you gave me garlic cheese bread not cheese sticks. to which his reply was ” did you mean mozzarella sticks” i replied yes. he saids “we dont have mozzarella cheese sticks” i replied what do you mean, it’s on your menu w/ a picture. he states “thats a nation wide menu, & we dont carry those. i said well yall need to fix that, thats not okay & f***ed up. & said bye & hung up.
That’s a problem that you show mozzarella cheese sticks with a picture on your menu but yet you don’t carry it it needs to be fixed I’m sure I’m not the first one that has been upset and disappointed with this please fix your website with only items that you’re actually going to serve people.

    Sir or Ma’am:

Last eve (11/09/19) at approx. 4pm we purchased a large pizza from our local Ashland, OH East of Chicago restaurant. What an absolute disappointment. What in the world has happened to your pizza products??????? For many years now, whenever we decide to have pizza we don’t consider purchasing from anywhere other than East of Chicago, as we thought it was the best. A couple of months ago another family member, along w/some friends went to the buffet at this same East of Chicago restaurant. All of us have always enjoyed the buffet there, but this group said they didn’t know what was wrong w/the pizza, but that something had changed and they didn’t like any of the pizza on the buffet. One of them said they couldn’t identify what was wrong but thought it was the crust. They all said that none of them finished any of the slices of pizza they tried. All of them said they would not be returning to East of Chicago.

My family and I hadn’t had pizza for a while, so last night we decided to indulge……….wow, what a disappointment. We now know what our family/friends were talking about. It tasted awful. The crust almost tasted like it had gone “bad” and certainly had no seasoning whatsoever. The toppings, and there were many, were all over cooked, to the point of nearly being burnt. Obviously a large pizza w/many toppings isn’t cheap, and this was a splurge for us, so it was a total waste of money.

It’s so sad to think that the quality of your products has gone downhill so much. We have always, up until now, loved East of Chicago pizza, but since there are many other pizza places in town and several w/buffets, we will no longer be going to East of Chicago. It breaks our hearts to see yet another good restaurant stop caring about the quality of their products.

I wanted to let you know that the Lexington, Ohio franchise/business took both phone lines off the hook on Saturday at about 6:30 or 7:00. I ordered pizza and a salad. Two hours for delivery. I agreed. Then I changed my mind and decided to pick up my order. Tried to call to tell let them know. Both lines busy. (Main trunk and the rollover line.) Got to the store and advised the Manager the phone lines were off the hook. He said the phone lines were down. I suggested he call their provider to report it. He walked away. I worked for a Telecom Business for twenty years so I know when a phone has trouble or is just off hook. Both lines flashing as if the lines are on hold but no one is waiting. I was in there for at least a half hour and no one took any phone orders. This is sad. I guess they don’t want the business or can’t handle the volume of business. I should have gone behind the counter and started answering the phone and taking orders.

My boyfriend ordered a medium meatlovers and bbq wing from East of Chicago in Massillon Ohio on Lincoln way. It took a hr and 45 mins. The driver called 3 times for the address when the pizza got here it was cold and the bbq wings wasnt even bbq. My boyfriend had to put the pizza in the microwave to warm it up. The driver just left the house. My boyfriend called back to East of Chicago and talked to the manger Kayla Morrison. She was rude and told my boyfriend there is nothing they can do they are closed. Its was 10:15 pm. If they are closed why are they answering the phone. Anyways my boyfriend ask if they could just send the driver back with bbq sause and Kayla said the driver already went home when he just left our house. So is she saying he went home with the money we paid for our pizza??? My boyfriend asked if they could credit the order. Kayla told him that they would only credit the bbq sauce. The cold pizza wasnt getting credited. She was rude and very unprofessional for being a manger.

Had my driver throw my pizza on the ground for my contactless delivery instead of sitting it there. Ended up having pizza salad to eat. Called for a replacement, got my replacement and my toppings were incorrect. I’m allergic to olives and couldn’t eat it. I’m extremely disappointed

How about this – waited an hour and a half for food, called several times, canceled my order and they still charged me for it.
They are losing business because of situations like this daily!

Well, I called to order food. I was told we were outside the delivery area and that it’s a 5 mile radius. We were supposedly 5.9 miles. Ok, I get that. Until, I decided to map it from my house to the Akron OH green/portage lakes oh location. Well, it is 4.3 miles from my house to the location. So, I call back to make sure they had my address right. Well they did. I told them that I was told it was 5 miles. The second guy put me on hold to check and a woman gets on the phone and tells me that they don’t go anywhere close to Waterloo Road which is the main Street before mine (coming from the store). She was rude and basically treated me like I was dirt. I explain to her that, it is in fact not 5 miles away to which she responded well it depends on which way. No, that shouldn’t be it. You get to pick and choose what area you deliver to? So you can only deliver to the fancy neighborhood? I get I don’t live in the best area but, it’s definitely not the worst in town. I am mad, and disgusted this is how this franchise decided to treat a possible new customer. We haven’t had them in over 15 years and the first time we try to order we can’t even do that. Its disgusting and appalling people can be so rude. Well east of Chicago, I won’t ever attempt to order from you ever again. I don’t care if we move right next door. I will drive across town for a different pizza place.

So this is a long weird story. My friends shanias house is not able to get replacements because she called in orders and the were nasty so she got them replaced. Well I’m at her house, I pay with my credit card for a large pizza with pepperoni, also the 10 boneless wings, and an order of cinapops(if that’s how you spell it) I live in Marysville Ohio. Well I called them to tell them that my cinapops were nasty and not done. The women I spoke with started to get an attitude on the phone she said if I got them replaced I had to either come and get them and return the box of the old ones or she was going to deliver them to me, but I had to pay the 2.50$ delivery charge. Which I thought that wasn’t right so I went up there with my friend I don’t have a car currently . And two men were very rude I guess one was the owner and the other was a manger I’m not for sure.. well I have pictures of the cinapops . They were too doughy for me and weren’t done. They looked just like white bread it was very nasty. Well the opened my box and started to finger my food opening the cinapops. Very unprofessional!! Very rude if you ask me! Also I had the owner standing outside the store saying he’s not remaking anything for me because of my friend .. I just want to know why they can treat me like this.. and why I’m being denied a credit because of my friend. I will never visit this place again. I love east of Chicago. But not anymore!

a friend of mine had a bad experience with employees at your new philadelphia, ohio location. they treated them rude and when she wanted a manager, they got more attitude, then she asked for the owners number and the owner of that location gave her attitude for contacting them. i know this isn’t the way you want your restaurants run but i think you should do a surprise visit on this location.
