Two days ago, 4/1/2020, I bought 4 cans of 2 liter Boticelli olive oil because it was on sale. When I got home I found out on 3 websites that this brand is Not real olive oil as stated, it is a mixture as many brands are. These are 2 of the 3 websites that advised of this fraud:

I want to return these for an exchange for another brand. If it is necessary for me to pay the difference I will. Your store managers will not accept any exchanges now.
When I called your corporate office and explained what took place, the agent hung up on me.
This is the second issue I’ve had with Price Chopper.
The first was a mistake regarding an online ad. I called corporate and the CS agent acknowledged the mistake and said she would advise your department that handles that but I would be able to purchase it that day as they take a few days to change the ads.
When later I tried to purchase it, the agent on duty screamed that I was trying to steal the items. Then he had me stand at the customer service counter and refused to call corporate. When he did the agent said there were only 3 agents there and she was too busy to check.
The next day I called corporate again to advise of this error and the same agent answered. She said she would call the store. When I got to the store they would only allow me to purchase 1 of these.
I am a 69 year old widow. My husband was the senior partner of his law firms and I was a special needs teacher. I have 4 adult children. 2 of them are lawyers, married to lawyers, a daughter in law school who is dating a lawyer, and a son who is a chef in a Michelin star restaurant in Boston.
When I pick up my son at 1am, after he finishes work, on our drive back we always stop at PC and he never spends less than $150.
This weekend I’m picking him up so he can do a televised cooking show at my home. He’s been working round the clock to make take out meals that would be delivered to the needy.
I used to love Price Chopper because I am Italian decent and Jewish and you have the foods I am accustomed to however I am making it a policy to Never Shop at any PC. From now on we will shop in Boston before returning home!

I don’t feel that there’s enough time to express my feelings about the store in Delhi, NY. I’m not going to be shopping there,or any other price chopper for that matter, anymore. The filthy conditions are deplorable. The attitudes of the young people who work there are not only rude and disrespectful but they stand around doing nothing but talking with each other about every other person who works with them. Don’t even try to get someone to help you without them acting like you are bothering them. The fish smells like it’s been sitting in the sun for weeks. The meat is very often bad and has a green color. Produce is rotten most of the time. The dirty conditions are like nothing else I’ve ever seen before. I would rather go hungry than ever shop at any price chopper anymore. Management and corporate personnel have been nothing but dismissive about the company’s problems. I wouldn’t even shop there anymore even if they had giveaways or sent me a gift card for free food

The bagels at price chopper in Newburgh n.y. were the best in the area until the renovation was finished.
They must have fired the only person that knew how to make bagels..
The new bagels are very small and look terrible as they overdose them with seeds..
They are squashed little remnants that they still call bagels..
If they continue to insult new yorkers with terrible quality,
they will fail…

May 3rd, approx. 5:00 P.M., My wife and I went to the Price Chopper Store located at 35th and Ingersoll Ave. in Des Moines Iowa.
Upon entry to the store, there was an emergency tornado siren sounding.
After selecting several of the items that we needed, there was an announcement asking all customers to bring their items to the front of the store to check out. After standing in line for 5 minutes or more, a member of management yelled out, “for the safety of our employees, we will no longer be checking people out, and we ask that you leave the store”. So, all customers had to leave the store while tornado sirens were blaring. In a nutshell, the member of the management team didn’t seem to care about the safety of the customers, and sent ALL of the customers outside in a thunderstorm, which could have been life threatening. Your store is just down the street from us, and has been very convenient. However with the latest turn of events, I will NO LONGER be shopping at Price Chopper. I’ll drive the extra miles to shop at Hy-Vee or Walmart. I will also advise everyone I know, NOT to shop at Price Chopper.
Sincerely, your former customers, Tim & Fran Zenor.
PS: Have a nice day out in the storm!!!

I filed a complaint on 11-19-17 (000000292542-PC) about the quality of meat product I had purchased 3-4 days earlier that week. Received a nice saying how important my comments were and that someone would contact me soon. I guess my “soon” and their “soon” have totally different meanings. I am a store manager of a big box retail chain store and I have 24 hours to reply to complaints, or I come up on the bad list. I would than have to respond as to why I have not responded to said complaint. I guess the $50 I spent on that meat was not enough to be concerned about. Let alone the hundreds of dollars I’ve spent on other products at that location. Hy-Vee is just as close, I can do my shopping there.

I am probably one of many who have complained about your new online flyer and everything related to it. I use to enjoy going through the old online flyer , clicking on those items I wanted to purchase and being able to see the items in there respective area along with there price. I even mentioned to one of your associates how if they could tell me the aisle the item was in it would be almost as good as PUBLIXS online flyer in Florida. Well that isn’t going to happen I’m sure.
Well maybe someday it will work the way it should again. In the meantime I will use Wegmans Instacart.
MM says
What have you done to the online flyer- it is horrible!! Please go back to the way it was-this new way is terribly hard to look for things- awful awful awful-go back to the way it was please!

Gentlemen: My family and members of different social organizations I serve, are customers of your retail chain which recently open in Des Moines, Ia. The American Legion is an organization whose members, like me, are retired or former members of the United States Armed Forces served previous Wars. We are in a process of collecting funds for the am American Legion and several business are cooperating with this effort Although retired, I am currently working for Walgreens Stores, which is trying to request donations for this organization. I, voluntarily collected cans since about a year. Today, on my way to work, I stopped at one of your stores, 1819 Beaver Ave. Des Moines, Ia., and returned some cans, unfortunately, there was a notice specifying that the maximum accepted is $10.00. I requested to talk to one of the members of Store Management, explained my situation, presenting the membership Id, but I was denied the explanation based on a “Company” Rule. I have discussed this problem with an executive member with American Legion, who stated to me that my best access would be to contact your office. I do not request for an explanation or action, just reporting.
Sincerely,
S.A. Hanson, MCSE
