Chick-Fil-A was started in 1946 by S. Truett Cathy with the opening of the Dwarf Grill (now called the Dwarf House) in the Atlanta suburb of Hapeville, Georgia. In 1961, Cathy discovered a pressure cooker that could make a chicken sandwich as fast as a hamburger and Chick-Fil-A was born.
In 1967, the first Chick-Fil-A opened in the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta. The chain expanded quickly in the 70s and 80s by opening locations in suburban mall food courts. In 1986, the first freestanding location was opened. The company continued to expand with mostly freestanding locations for the rest of the 80s and 90s.
In 2008, Chick-Fil-A became the first fast-food restaurant to go completely trans-fat free. While many locations are franchised, the company retains ownership rights. Founder S. Truett Cathy was a devout Southern Baptist who began taking Sundays off because he was tired. The store has kept this mantra ever since.
The company has donated more than $5 million to groups that fight against same-sex marriage. This changed in November 2019 when the company announced that it would withdraw its support of anti-LGBTQ groups and instead focus on homelessness, education, and hunger. This decision seems to have angered both sides.
Chick-Fil-A currently has over 2,363 locations in 39 US states, Mexico and the Philippines. The Chick-Fil-A corporate office is located in College Park, Georgia.

I’m am letting you know how deeply betrayed I feel by the Cathy family,as a fellow person of faith. When your company was unjustly targeted by the LGBTQ radical activists for a nation wide boycott,I as well as millions of others stood with you. Through a grass roots, word of mouth effort we enabled you to record your best sales totals ever during that threat to your good brand name.By deciding to eliminate faith based charitable organizations from your donor recipient list, due to this much amplified radical minority close minded group, you embolden your enemies and lose those who were your staunch allies. As for me and my family,we will be hesitant to show the unbridled support that we did in the past. As has already become evident in the resent news accounts, through your capitulation to the extremist they are demanding more concessions of you. I pray you see the light before it is to late, and return to appreciating the the millions of loyal customers your company, product’ and fine employees have in the past.Sincerely, Wayne Carroll

A Chick-Fil-A recently opened in West acres Mall in Fargo. Because of your perverse and unnatural decision to go LGBT I, for one, will not be eating there. How you can stray from the founding principles of Chick-Fil-A is beyond me. Disgusting.

I am beyond disappointed as one of only a few restaurants that made a stand against our culture which is so much against our Biblical worldview, and to see that you all caved, makes me more than sad, I guess I need to be eating my chicken at home more often now:(((

I am trying not to believe what I’m seeing on tv, reading, and heard about following the wrong side of the bible. We the people of faith know what happen to Sodom and Gomorrah. I would have hoped you wouldn’t take that path. If every person of faith follows this path this country becomes the United States of Sodom and Gomorrah. Not gonna happen during my life time. It is sad to say to pull backers of advertising, halt all banking activity and Boycott that many people of faith brought their families to eat. What happen to your faith? Did you sell out to the devil?

I am disappointed in your decision to not hold to the values you said you stood for. It seems the love of money has made your decision for you. Turn from God and he will no longer bless you. But I guess as long as money is what your after not God then you got what you wanted. Just a let down from a Christian stand point. Hope I can continue my support in the future but as of now I can not give my money to a company that is going against God.

Here’s part of the article:
November 25, 2019 | John Horvat II
Three Reasons Why Chick-fil-A’s Bad Decision Matters:
Fast-food giant Chick-fil-A shocked many conservatives when it suddenly announced a revision of its donation policies that excluded mainstream Christian groups deemed hostile to the LGBTQ+ cause.
What triggered the decision is a matter of speculation. While company officials tried to deflect the charge of surrender to the homosexual lobby, no one was fooled. Liberals and progressives celebrated while many loyal Christian patrons understandably feel betrayed. The Wall Street Journal succinctly reported, “Chick-fil-A Concedes.”
Chick-fil-A was plain and simply wrong in making this decision. It sends the wrong message to Christians engaged in the Culture War.
Some say the decision does not matter. However, Chick-fil-A’s horrible decision does matter. Customers deserve to be served by those with integrity. Like it or not, the controversy will impact corporate America in three ways that will have tragic consequences.
Corporate America Makes Cowardice Part of its Policy
The first reason why it matters is that the new policy will encourage more concessions and cowardice. The desire for profits did not motivate Chick-fil-A to concede. Its customer base had no problems with its present policy. Fear played a major role.
Corporate America has long lacked the backbone to stand up to the left’s social agenda that is tearing the nation apart. Consumers have come to expect retail giants to cave in to liberal pressures even when it jeopardizes their bottom line. No one is surprised by their secular zeal to take God out of the public square and its adjoining marketplaces. Thus, the corporate world is full of those who jump on the bandwagon by supporting those radical minorities that call for supporting abortion until birth, installing transgender bathrooms or making war on Christmas.
Walter says
I ask the Lord when I take action.
his is the only voice that matters. Before you made recent giving changes did you ask Jesus? At your next board meeting I ask that you pray, listen, and act as he answers I do not ask you to change. I ask That you follow the Lord and no one else. [lease keep this in mind at your next meeting.hank you for listening.
Rick Irby says
I am disgusted with your recent removal of donation support of Biblical organizations and instead will donate to organizations that make up less than 1% of the population. Our family waited in long lines in 2012 to support your stand against the LBGTQ community, because their beliefs do not line up with Bible beliefs. You have lost our family’s business and confidence. We will no longer darken the doors of CFA.
Debra Irby says
I believe your recent removal of corporate donations to Biblical based companies will be to your financial detriment, not to mention God’s judgement on your business, which you should intensely consider. You have caved to less than 1% of the population demands. Our family waited in long lines in 2012 to support you in your stand for the Biblical truth. As of today you have lost our family’s business and our confidence, now with this recent move to support non Biblical belief groups. We pray you will get your eyes back on God and right thIs wrong decision.
Jack says
The lgbtq community only make up 0.2% of the American population Christians are by far the Largest buying block in the United States I’m not sure what Chick-Fil-A was thinking but it sure wasn’t about their bottom line. Good Luck & Be Prepared For The Wrath Of GOD!
Steve Gordon says
I live in the Portland Oregon area so am familiar with the gays and lesbians. They have their lifestyle and I have a straight life. That being said I will no longer be a customer of yours. When you let less than 1 percent of the population convince you that only they matter and that your integrity and principles are out the window I don’t want to be a part of your lifestyle.
Philip & Nancy in SC says
Dear CFA Corporate,
For the last couple of years LGBTQ has been pounding Chick-fil-A over the company’s donations to The Salvation Army, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Paul Anderson Youth Home in Georgia. Because these ministries believe what the Bible teaches about human sexuality and marriage, these ministries have been labeled “hate” groups. Therefore, according to LGBTQ groups, Chick-fil-A donates to hate groups.
Now Chick-fil-A has announced it will no longer make donations to these groups. The company says its contracts with the ministries have simply expired, and they’re moving on. Frankly, we don’t buy it. For all practical purposes, it looks like CFA has caved to the LGBTQ activists and their illegitimate complaints. We hope we are wrong. It saddens us greatly to find out that Chick-fil-A seems to be wavering on our Christian principles. The Progressive left has become the largest hate group in this country. They denigrate and destroy any individual or group that disagrees with their Marxist ideology.
We reviewed our credit cards to see what we spend in a typical year at CFA which is about $600.00. In a way Salvation Army will miss $600 from CFA charity donations because it will go elsewhere. So, we have decided to make up that difference to Salvation Army by withdrawing our patronage from CFA for one year. At the end of the year we’ll pray on this matter again. However, we expect CFA will soon kowtow to being closed on Sundays as a “hate” gesture toward atheists as the next demand to be made. CFA has entered the slippery slope of trying to be everything to everybody. Good luck with those tactics of dumbing down faith issues to make the progressive “A” List. We’ll pray for you.

Fr. James Rosselli says
Dear Mr. Taasopoulos,
In your interview with the Christian Post, you said,
“There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,”
You have certainly done that. Your article makes it clear that you are no longer a ministry with a mission, but have degraded your company into being just another fast-food outfit, making respectable but safe donations.
Sir, there are hundreds of fast-food outfits, most of whom serve chicken, most of which is as good as or better than yours,.You made your money not because of a necessarily superior or unique product, but because you had a customer base that specifically wanted to support you because of what you stood for,
Since you will no longer have that customer base (PR massaging won’t convince them that what they see isn’t real), you will now have to make it out there in the world, with everyone else, in the already-crowded fast food market.
I smell an IPO. It’s the only thing that makes sense. You will thus join the Big Boys’ Club, membership in which has its own rules.
The Lord asked us what the percentage was in gaining the whole world and losing our soul. It’s a bottom line at which you and your Board might want to take a closer look, while you can still turn back.
in Christ,
Fr. James Rosselli

Yes, I have read both of your denials of caving to the radical LGBTQP+ Nazis. I’m still not happy with you! If you did not cave, your timing was terrible. Dropping the Salvation Army and other Christian charities while under direct attack from the LGBTQP+ Nazis was, at the very least, sending the wrong message at the wrong time. You have seriously damaged your Christian witness and left your millions of Christian customers/supporters feeling betrayed and let down. You need to reverse your poorly considered decision. Otherwise there are many of us who will not come back to your restaurants because we feel so betrayed by what we see as capitulation to godless leftist tyranny. – Tom Woodard

I have told everyone I know about your fast food being great and you being Christian Owners. You have made me look like a fool. Each year I always got the calendar and family has given me gift cards for birthday. I have one now. But no more. I don’t want anything to do with your Company. Giving to the Salvation Army and Christian Athletics group was part of my going to your restaurant. I will take my business elsewhere. Since the founder of your company passed, the young turks are different. Go back to the Gentlemen’s christian views that founded the company No more chic fil a for me.
Paul and Kim jevas says
We hope whoever capitulated to the anarchy that has bludgeoned our Culture into submission is removed from their position immediately.
It would appear the heir apparent lacks the character and the spine of the owners. From what is known of their convictions they would have never bowed to the unending demands of viriolant protesters, as you are now well aware of.
I’m a retired school Custodian and one of the millions who have been proud of the Kathy’s convictions and have stated such to franchise managers. As such we keep close tabs on the ever-increasing Culture wars and the cost of capitulation.
Surely the decision is based on product demand that would sustain the bottom line; regardless of customer loss. However, a reversal would only lead to physical threats to property, personnel, and customers.
You’d be more hazardous than Popey’s with burdonsome insurance premiums and additional cost of security.
The flag is raised on yet another victim of Political Correctness.
Unlike your aggressors, we take a small measure of solace in judgemental and tersely worded replies.
Be thankful we’re not the petulant aggressors you’re now pandering to.
Tread predictably lightly and appologetily with your new cadre of victors.

Mr Dan Cathy, I am so saddened to hear of your lowering your standards and convictions to quit Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I can imagine your corporation was under constant attack by the LGBT community but
they can never be satisfied. This will do so much damage this will do to good Christian organizations. As Christians we must “hold fast to what is good” and Contribute to the needs of the believers. Please reconsider and do the right thing.
Erma Linda Candelori says
The chain’s mission statement, established by Cathy, is “to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”
V. S. Wahle says
I can’t begin to express how disappointed I am that chick fil a has caved to pressure from the radical left. For so long you held the line and, now, suddenly you have been “woke”. A bitterly sad and dark day. I’m sure you all have convinced yourselves this is a good move, but I think there will be a price to pay for this decision, and I’m not speaking about a financial loss.
Bob says
I am in total disbelief that Truet Cathy’s spine of steel disintegrated into spinelessness. The Salvation Army has done more for mankind than all the Sodom and Gomorrah types combined since God’s destruction of both. .
Unless there is a double entendre in the “giving to charities that promote health, education, nutrition, etc.” Chick-Fil-A’s corporate decision to stop contributions to the Salvation Army is an abomination. Caving to bullies that are less than 3% of the general population is beyond stupid!
Mike Snyder says
I also am saddened by this reversal of a principled stand. This change to STOP supporting The Salvation Army seems to be the latest example of anti- American evil. I have long admired this Chick fil a company. But not patronizing them any longer over this change of support of such organizations as the Salvation Army seems to be the best response I can make. Yet another, totally unexpected change of position that in reality benefits no one but does cause real harm.
Carol Douglas says
I am very disappointed with Chick fil A. I purposely ate at your restaurant to support the Christians in our country’s values. I respected your organization for standing up to the lefts bizarre anti Christian behavior against your organization and all Christians. I love your stores food and customer service but I can not support a company that does not stand up for what they believe in. Shame on your organization for not standing up for what you believe in.
John Beals says
The news of Chick-fil-A’s decision to end support of charities that oppose certain immoral behavior was sad and shocking. I cannot imagine how oppressive the pressure must have been on Chick-fil-A from the loud extremists which caused them to cave. I commend Chick-fil-A for standing on principle for as long as they did. It was that decision and their long-standing choice to remain closed on Sundays that interested me (and many other people that I know). I do not eat at fast-food restaurants; but I’ve made an exception in the case of Chick-fil-A because of its good moral positions.
It is possible that Chick-fil-A has decided to take the secular business approach (public perception and money) instead of doing as well as they did while still maintaining good, moral principles. Whatever the reason for this public decision, Chick-fil-A will now lose my patronage and my support. You’ve succumbed to the voices and threats of the 2% while stepping on the throats of the 60%. We may not be as loud or as intimidating as the former antagonists; but our dollar was worth the same!
Jimmie Wilder III says
I am retired military and while in the Air Force and Army prior to my retirement I enjoyed your high quality products in many places. I am a Christian and always admired your organizations approach to business, family, community service and Christian values. However, your capitulation to the LGBT community is shameful and you should absolutely have not allowed these people to morally overwhelm your company and influence your policies as they have apparently been able to do. I am presently working for the Department of Veteran Affairs at the VA hospital in Dayton Ohio but I would be delighted to afford your company some valuable facts and information about standing up for our Christian beliefs in the face of adversity and not surrendering to those who defy God and what Jesus means to Christians. You might need me to come work for your organization and demonstrate to your company and its employees what it means to have conviction and faith in something that is more powerful than these sinful groups who you all are ostensibly afraid of for some reason. God bless you all and I wish your company the very best in its future endeavors.
Russell Gray says
I’m super disappointed in Chick-Fil-A’s decision to cave to the immorality of the liberal left. God’s Word does not change. Since Genesis God has clearly stated what constitutes sin and sexual immorality. LGBTQ is not a hip lifestyle. It is a choice that people make thru being traumatized at early age, sexually molested, or they simply choose to be that way. But it is not a civil rights matter it is a immorality matter. You have a large platform and you are endorsing yourselves as a “Christian following” business. Romans Chapter one clearly states that LGBT lifestyle is a lifestyle in rebellion against God’s design and it is also stated at the end of the chapter that those that partake or even condone this sinfulness is also guilty of the same. Do you think Christians who used to buy at your store because you were a supporter of Christian family values wants to be associated with the store that caved to LGBT pressure and then also stops helping or contributing to other Christian organizations because they at least stand on their beliefs in God’s Word? You know who else did this? Lauren Daigle, and it seems many others are too scared to stand for What GOD’s WORD says is TRUTH about lets call it out. LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, QUEER. and soon to add Pedophilia to this list of Lifestyle CHOICES. I suggest you go back and read Roman chapter one. 1 Corinthians Chapter 6 & 7, 1 Corinthians 10:8-9, Galations 5:19-21, Ephesians 4:17-19, Ephesians 5:1-12, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; 2 Thessalonians 2:7-11; 1 Timothy 10:9-10; Why do I write this letter? Because God’s Word tells us in 1 Timothy 5:20 “Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.” Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” I hope you also consider the thousands of young Christians who work in your store that now are wondering what to do? Take a stand? Or quit because maybe they have some God fearing beliefs.

I am very disappointed in the decision to cave to political pressure that Chick-fil-A has recently published. The people in charge should be ashamed, you had the backing of millions when you stood up to pressure in an prior circumstance similar to this, we had your back man. Now you just slapped in the face, those same people that had your back, it is very sad and sickening at the same time.
I have been an avid supporter of your restaurant for years, through the good and bad, along with many more of us, not anymore, you turned your back on the organizations you once supported, now we turn our backs on you, so long, never to eat at this restaurant again, it’s Bo Time.

Sad.

Breaking ties with Christian organizations in order to appease groups which hate us FOR BEING CHRISTIAN is easily the dumbest business move this company has ever made. It won’t attract the haters or even appease them but it will certainly alienate your already significant customer base. While I did regularly make purchases every week that will no longer be the case and I am fairly certain this will be the case for many others.

I cannot believe Chick-fil-a has caved to pressure from the LGBT groups. Do you not understand that the base of you success has been from the Church? When these groups tried to boycott you in the past, who showed up to support you? The Church. This business has been blessed because you have kept Biblical stances. But a blessing can quickly turn to curse. Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

I am very sad and disappointed to hear that your company is no longer donating it’s money to godly companies. Bowing down and cowardly giving into the the LGBT anti_Christ movement is really terrible to hear. One of the reasons your company is so successful I believe is because you honor The Lord, despite some who hate that about you. There are many companies that donate to wicked and ungodly causes. Chick fill a has been a light in the area of fast food and business in general. The light, has dimmed. Put your light back out from under the bed, and honor the Lord. In Jesus name.

I’d like to formally express my concern. I feel there needs to be better overseeing of your franchises and the way they manage their employees. For a company that is noted for their compassion and Christian values it sure has a hard time trickling down to their employees. Yesterday my mother in law passed away and i called my daughter to tell her. Unbeknownst to me her and her husband were on their way out to head to work. Her husband to Chick fil A in Copperas Cove Texas. Because I informed them at that time my daughter broke down and cried and her husband who is an employee in the Cove store stopped to console her. Because he did that he arrived 4 minutes late to work. After explaining to them what happened they proceeded to put him on suspension for a week anyways. The managers name is Sylvia and apparently she has had issues with my son in law before. But that is no excuse to ignore his pleas for being 4 min. late in this case. My son in laws name is Cole Ciffra and his intended suspension will begin in 2 weeks unless someone steps in to counter her actions of suspension. I am pleading for someone to take action here and have a little compassion. I know you can’t control every situation but in this case where it was clearly beyond his control he shouldn’t be penalized. This is something that as a concerned parent or customer I hope would be dealt with in the quickest time possible. I hope you take the time to read this and consider all I have spoken about. And consider action. Thank you for your time.

For over 3 years, I did not purchase anything from the Madison Chick-fil-a because of Mrs. Burns refusing to refill a coke for me one day. Finally they left the Madison store, and when I found out they were gone, I could finally purchase my salads in Madison, instead of going to nearby towns. My husband and I purchase two salads at least 5 days a week. Last week he brought my salad (Market salad) home, and it was terrible! I asked at the store the next day and was told the salad had been changed…it was a seasonal thing by corporate! OMG! Just when I could buy locally, they change their best salad! Now I can’t even go to other stores, because Corporate changed them all!!! Chick-fil-a, if you want a seasonal salad, make a new one and leave the ones that are selling well alone! I guess I’ll have to go back to getting Zaxby’s salads until the seasonal salad is GONE!!!!! BAD MOVE CHICK-FIL-A

I read on Facebook where it says that Chick Fil- A doesn’t like Black people. well I want you to know that me and 30 of my friends will never eat at another Chic-Fil-A ever again in life. and anybody else that I know I will tell them about it too.
Joe says
You should believe everything you read on Facebook!
Kris says
The majority of the people serving the food are black…duh. yeah we should all believe what we read on Facebook and be sheep.
Susan says
we stopped at a Chick-fil-a’s in a very depressed area and we were all eating in the same restaurant blacks and white, we travel and do stop at many of them and have never seen any problems with racism. Don’t believe all that you read in Facebook or on the internet.
Thomas Jenkins says
What a stupid statement. I have never in all my years going there have I heard or saw any problem like that. Get your facts straight a-hole.
Suzanne says
Patricia, instead of believing everything you read on Facebook, go to a Chick-fil-a and see how they treat their customers, regardless of their color. That is the only way to make an accurate assessment before you cause a decline in their business, which affects others’ jobs.

I read on Facebook that Patricia was a fool. It has to be true .

I can’t believe the greed that has taken over at chick fil a , when the owner cares more for his business than giving a pregnant woman a 10 min break every 2 hour with a doctors note and states that it’s hurting his business because it’s too busy. For someone who says he’s a Christian it doesn’t show. What i see is someone who cherishes money more then human life and then makes her stand outside on a 100 degree day for face to face with long pants and refuse to buy shorts for her because once again it cost to much money to get her shorts that she will be out of in 3 months but yet will get the other employees shorts. I will no longer support chick fil a

I wanted to express my disappointment with the your guest relations department!! I attempted to address a store experience, however, guest relations (especially Sarah Parrish) has done nothing more than “add insult to injury!) When I called back to ask who Ms. Parrish reports to, the receptionist Liz was extremely difficult and REFUSED to disclose who manages your customer service (aka chick fil a cares department. I was told by Liz “I’m not allowed to give that information out!” Really?? I will NEVER give my patronage to chick fil a and must say my personal experience with your customer care department has been nothing short of a mismanaged three ring circus!! I can only hope these comments will be a BIG red flag to the mysterious, unknown department head!! Shocking!! Disappointing!!

Dear Chic Fil A leadership,
Yesterday June 10th I dined at Chic Fil A for the first time in my life. The Dubuque Iowa restaurant was impressive. From the second we stepped into the store we were greeted warmly and asked to step up and order our dinner. The manager in this store also embraces employees with special needs as we had a very competent young man deliver our meal.
I can only assume that Chic Fil A leaders know and understand what lean or the Toyota Production System is? I witnessed purposeful processes in place that had to be because the Chic Fil A leaders listened to customers. Every detail was well thought out and accentuated the customer experience. The blue cups to hold and carry condiments, utensils and other articles needed to make a pleasant eating experience. The ketchup single dose sizes could be versatile (squirt or dunk). Soft drink cups are styrofoam instead of wax paper. This prevents condensation or having your hand get cold while holding the drink. I noticed the sanitary wipes were well marked at the entrance of the playground area. The women’s bathroom blew me away when I noticed mouthwash and a cup dispenser. They even thought to include a small step stool so small children could wash their hands easily. Aesthetic touches included flower vases at all the tables. The restaurant was clean and well kept. A colleague even came around and asked if we wanted drink refills. Who does that? I loved it!
Thank you for making our first visit to Chic Fil A a pleasant event. We will visit again.

Hi. I like chick fa a a lot, my family and I go there every Monday night. But I have decided to boycott chick fil a and so has my brother. I have decided to for 3 reasons; Reason 1: I have been there many times but yet almost every time the countertops are messy and have crumbs, sticky stuff, and spilled drinks all over them. I am very disgusted about this, how can this be sanitary at all?! Reason 2: The food taste good, but a lot of the time my family and I order the regular sandwich, but we barely have any chicken on it; Isn’t it called the CHICKEN sandwich?! Reason 3: The way they treat their chicken. They are very rough with their chicken, and they get barely any fresh air or sunlight, and the baby chicks are barely alive! A lot of the chicken have open cuts and can barely stand. There was this interview with one of the workers there and he said that the conditions are horrible, but he can’t do anything about it! So therefore I will be boycotting chick fil a until they change their ways. Join me in the fight for a better chick fil a!!!!!

Today is Sunday May 20 2017 1:15 a.m. I’m writing to ask why my 17 year old daughter is continuing to be scheduled to “close” after numerous times of requesting them to stop. I as her Father and parent have repeatedly asked them to stop. Tonight my daughter got off work at 12:15 and got home at 12:40. This is a very BIG safety concern being she is driving home by herself. My daughter stated management would not let her leave because cleaning had to be done. One it’s Saturday night, now Sunday Morning, Chick-fil-A is closed on Sunday why is this having to be done for a day you are not open it should be left for the Monday morning crew. This is the lastest she has gotten off and it keeps getting later. Two she is missing Church because she is tired from working so late. I’m beyond frustrated at this point and asking for this problem to be fixed immediately one for HER SAFETY and two so SHE COULD GO TO CHURCH.

Let me start by saying that I love your food! I eat there at least 2-3 times a week as it’s the closest place to my office that offers a healthy selection that actually tastes good. That being said, I don’t expect 100% satisfaction from any fast food chain but your restaurants have always been close to it most of the time. This morning, however, I ordered my usual breakfast menu item and I have to admit this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at your store. My usual meal is a chicken biscuit meal with a frosted lemonade but this time my chicken is the size of maybe two chicken nuggets side by side and approximately a quarter inch thick. On top of this my frosted lemonade was just frosted with not a hint of lemonade. I’m seriously disappointed that the sandwich maker thought that was remotely an acceptable piece of chicken to put on a biscuit especially when it only took up about half of it! It’s times like these that makes me so disappointed in your restaurant that I avoid going back until the sting has worn off. I will be calling the store to complain directly but just thought you should know also.

I’m writing in reference to the Killeen, TX location. My daughter recently turned 16 and I encouraged her to seek employment with Chick-fil-a due to its great Christian background. Recently she came home from school ill. It was on a day she was scheduled to work so I phoned the Killeen store to inform them that she was ill and would not be able to make in that evening. The individual on the phone informed me that I needed to take my daughter to the doctors office and get her a note. I informed this individual that I’m not going to take her there because it would be a waste of time and money to to take her there for a stomach bug. I was informed that if I don’t she could get suspended. I am currently active duty military. I cannot just call and get my daughter in to see her primary care giver immediately. This sometimes takes a week or two. Nor can my wife and I continue to miss work because of this stores sick day policy.
Immediately after my phone call to them, one of the managers sent out a mass text to the employees that a doctors note was necessary and that parents were not allowed to call in for them. I’m sorry but my daughter is not an adult. Chick-fil-a Killeen is not the parent/guardian of my child. It was also put out today that a doctors note is also required even an employee has the common cold. Really? I completely understand that food safety is paramount for your organization. However, a doctors note for any illness even common ones that doesn’t take a doctor to inform you that you need fluids, time and bed rest is a complete waste of time and money in gas and co-pays. Not to mention that I guarantee that no doctor would like for you to come to there office with the common cold and likely spread to others when everyone knows there is no cure for it, except time.
I have screen shots of the managers conversation to employees if you would like them. Reading these messages leaves me to believe that this stores management truly believes it employees are less than human.

Good Morning,
My story is a lengthy one – so I am going to list a couple short links. Facebook page – Over Town Kyles Hope – Miami Herald Front Page article Mom fights for changes in the law – Kyle Cole Dodds, Cindy Dodds. these are the best. There is video on the Miami Herald article.
We have filled out our franchising interest information. Contacted by the local realtor (David, a great guy). And told that the site we want is not something corporate is looking at.
This project is God sized. The first step is the franchise – with profits going back into the community to fund the second phases. This is a historic site where my boy died.
The community of police/first responders and the states attorneys office are very excited with our project and are partnering with us. The area is emerging fast – there is no time to waste. The second phase is restoring the over town hotel with a museum and welcome center on the first floor, non-profits on the second and housing for my husband and I to stay when needed and a studio apartment for our partner and manager.
The third and final step is to create a healing and memorial guardian for all to come rest and pray and reflect.
This area has a brand new gorgeous apartment building with life and young families in front; the Lyric theatre (local historic theatre) and has an easy access point from major highway.
As I said, this is a God sized project. Chick Fil A and it’s Godly philosophy is the only franchise I will consider (at this time) on the site.
This will be the anchor for the rest – we will purchase the catering truck to deliver off site all overage during the day for those suffering on the streets of Miami.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I am so excited to someday be working with you. Cindy Dodds

THIS IS TO CORPORATE OFFICE…… I’m am so disgusted by one of your owners in the Houston, Texas stores. He actually owns 2 stores his name is Joseph DeCola. He is a disgusting a vile man. My daughter worked for him for 6 yrs and she just walked out of the store cause of his disgusting comments to her. He told her that she was a horrible person and that she needed to change. 6yrs she devoted her life to that job and to receive that, its unacceptable. But its funny cause he cheated on wife with an employee that he is marrying this yr. And then he has a idiot that is running one of his stores that stole money from him name is Devin. But there buddy buddies. He fired him but never pressed charges but then he hires him back and he calls my daughter horrible. A cheater and stealer running the stores. Is that the morals of chick fil a. ????. I’m so upset that he would Bully people like that. And she isn’t the only one.. Believe me I wanted to go in the store and let him have it but my daughter said it was her fight. He’s a bully and I want to let you all know what’s going on. Believe me there’s more but find out for yourselves.

I’ve worked for chick fil a for almost 2 years in the DFW area and have been to three different stores.. I left my first because the second one I went to was closer to home and I also wanted to try something new, very much regret making that decision.. I was mistreated, bullied and talked bad about the whole time I worked there.. After about a month the operator made me a team lead to see how I would do. I knew from the start that I wasn’t ready but he was desperate. After while I caught on and started doing better, that was until the director of the store starting making fails accusations about me, saying that I’ve stolen from the store, that I’m not mature enough to even be working and that I started to much drama, which wasn’t true at all.. I finally just wanted to leave and find something better and be around people that wouldn’t treat me so bad.. I talked to a few directions and they told me to just sit and talk with the operator about it, little did I know, the head director of that store got to him before I did and told him I was leaving and that I can’t be trusted, the operator then came up to me while I was helping a guest and told me to clock out and never come back to his store, I was in shock and same with the guests that were standing there waiting to be helped.. I then clocked out and left.. After awhile I applied to another store and turns out, my old operator called every CFA that he thought I would apply at and told them that I couldn’t be trusted and make sure not to hire me if I come by.. He pretty much ruined a lot of jobs for me because he told people I’m not trust worthy.. I’m very hurt by how everything happened and hate that they are still out there making other people suffer like I did. They make fails accusation about their employees and treat them all like trash.. I love Chick Fil a with all of my heart but that made me what nothing to do with working or even eating there..
Ayesha Maabreh says
So I really loved Chick-fil-a so I decided I would apply and see if I could get the job. After they hired me, I was told I could be very social with all the guests who walked in. I tried and did everything I could to be nice to every person there. I would make sure to ask how everyones day is going and just to bring positivity to everyone’s lives. I would do anything to show them that they could depend on me. Little did they know, I pushed away my family and friends for them. I would always let them know that whenever they need me to give me a call. Their were days where I made plans with my friends and I would get calls to ask if I could take someone’s shifts because they couldn’t make it. I even stayed past my shifts, for example I worked for 4 hours I would stay an extra hour or if I worked for 5 hours I’d stay an extra 2 hours. I was NEVER late to work, I would be there 30mins to an hour early everyday. I always canceled my plans with everyone just to prove that I’m dependable. I don’t drive so when I didn’t have a ride I would take an Uber, which I never do because I don’t feel safe about it. I really wanted to make sure that I was doing great and would also go around asking my Co-workers if I needed any improvement or if I was dining I would ask if it was looking great and most of the time they would tell me to keep doing what I’m doing. From time to time I would ask the MODS if theirs anything I could do to improve, I’ve only gotten like two of them telling me that I should keep my convos a little shorter with the guests and to make sure if I see a long line to rush to my register if it gets too busy. During all these times, I was on my 60 day probation and when I got back my review, I was really hurt about it. My review score was bad and all my managers complaint that I talked way too much and I wasn’t doing what I was told to do which isn’t true. I did my best as I could and worked so hard. I felt like all those times struggling and working hard was nothing to them. One of the feed backs I got mentioned how I didn’t know how to use the register right, like really? I was getting so great at it and also helped the new people when they needed it. Also, that same feedback telling me I needed to learn how to use the register right, they didn’t even spell the word “Register” right. Seems like they wrote that out of anger or something. I felt SOOO hurt about this. I got terminated and had to sign it into my records. That’s really hurtful and I did so much for them. I have NEVER EVER gotten a complaint from any of the guests. Matter of fact, people use to come in just to see me again. I’ve gotten one of the Chick fil a corporate come in and I took his order and he left me a great review saying that I was so nice and the owner told that to me himself. I remember his name was Patrick and I wanted to say thank you to him for being so kind and for making my day on the day he visited. Lots of my co workers would tell me how people would come in just to tell the owner how great I was to them and that he has great employees. Well sucks to say I was fired and I guess I was talking way too much and not following the rules. Everyone was so shocked that they let me go, my family, my friends, and even my coworkers. They couldn’t believe I was terminated and my friends thought I was joking with them till they saw that I was being serious about it. One of my co workers told me that after I left the manegers said I needed a lot of guidance. Well, maybe if they saw that I did they could have told that to me in my face and helped me improve myself if I wasn’t doing something right that I didn’t know of. I was terminated the past Monday and is still pretty hurt about all this and thought I should let corporate know how I felt.

My Fiancé works at the waynesville NC store, where she has been for a little over a month now. She along with 50 other employees they now have to park at the Ingles grocery store (1000 paces away) to make room for customer parking. This is unsafe because she goes into work when it is dark, and because of respiratory issues cannot walk that far in the winter. Which it is now. Also Ingles has threatened to tow all vehicles who remain in their lot for more than six hours. This to me goes against all morals that this restaurant claims to uphold and is driving valuable employees so seek other employment.
Juliet says
For starters, I would like to say that your customer service is exceptional however; I must bring this to your attention. I visited the location at North Loop 610 & Shepherd FSR (#03184) at the drive through. As I was waiting in line (lunch time your busiest time) the outside order team was doing a good job keeping the lines moving. It wasn’t until a young man (team lead) called out to them, this shut down the entire process of serving the customers. We had to wait until he finished his conversation with them.
As this is the busiest time for Chick-fil-A, here is the problem it caused:
• It shut down the process
• Customers had to wait until the team lead finished talking to the team
• The line continued to increase
I normally don’t do this however, with Chick-fil-A being a “brand name” I am confident this practice is not encouraged. Whatever the communication was that the team lead had to share, it could have waited.

Are you planning on adding more Chick- fil- A’s to metro Detroit? Presently, there are only two. These two are quite far. I look forward to patronizing your restaurant when I’m in Atlanta, Ga. Most recently, I was treated to the cookies and cream shake. It was soooo refreshing. When I flew back home, I stopped at the Chick-Fil-A counter in the Delta Concourse for another cookies and cream shake, but was disappointed to learn that it was not on the menu. I hope you consider opening a few franchises in Detroit, or metropolitan Detroit real soon. \!!

I always enjoyed the food at Chick-Fil-A and admired your Christian values in honoring the Lord’s day and closing on Sundays. However, now I feel that is all a facade. You really don’t care about your customers. I wrote to you in December 2015 telling you how your milkshake cups are poorly designed. It made a terrible mess in my car because the mouth cups are so big and open. I had to pay for upholstery cleaners and you didn’t even send me a coupon for a free shake to compensate me. I have not been back to a Chick-fil-A since that happened. Yesterday the same thing happened to my nephew – as soon as he made a turn in the car the milkshake cup fell over making a big mess. I’m sure this is happening to many people and yet you are doing nothing to improve the design of your cups. I’m living just fine without Chick-Fil-A so I’m sure the rest of the world can too. Your prices are high and you are so stingy with coupons. Your values must have died with Dave.

I have always loved Chick-fil-A but am so disappointed to see they’ve taken away the original barbecue sauce and have replaced worn a smoky flavored barbecue sauce that does not complement the seasonings of the chicken. I’m greatly disappointed and hope they’ll bring it back! I usually eat there at least twice a week on my weekly travels but have stopped that because I do not care for any of the other sauces with the chicken.

I have worked for chick fil a in Midland ga for some time before I decided to quite. They are very unprofessional. While there I have seen a lot of things managers that treat their workers unfair, team members sleeping with other co worker and even stealing money. But if your a cashier or a cook they treat you like you are beneath them. This restaurant needs to be looked into. Because those same team leaders and mangers that have done awful things in that store records are have been overed up and that to me isn’t far to those people that have been fired for stupid things that try and use them for references can’t because this store will give them a bad name or even for people that have quite the restaurant have been giving a bad name when other jobs call them. There’s one or two managers should be fired won’t give any names but they know who they are and I know for sure shouldn’t be working in a so called Christian restaurant. Hopefully if the right people reads this they will be fully looked into.

I just called the help desk to issue a complaint against my operator, and I really felt like they don’t care. A manager of mine threatened me with a knife and touched me inappropriately, and when I went to report the situation my operator called me a liar. Then a week later the same manager touched another girl inappropriately and my operator changed her schedule so that she wouldn’t have to work with that manager. My manager also called me a liar and that my opinions and feels are wrong and I shouldn’t have them. Further more my operator has told me I am worthless to him. There were eye witnesses to what had happened to me and my operator told me it was my fault and I needed to just do what I was told and that I was wrong for reacting the way I did. My operator proceeded to write me up and suspend me for a week for insubordination, however if feelings are wrong why does my manager’s feelings count?

I am a 16 year old worker at Chick Fil A at 2650 N Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale Florida and I’ve been fired for the most stupidest and outrageous reason because I didn’t show up to work for the first time but there are plenty of teens at the job that has missed more then two days and still are currently working there and I believe it is not fair. They called me 2 hours i was suppose to originally go in and i told them i wasn’t coming in today. I had requested that day off because i had competition, i was told that we weren’t doing it anymore so i picked up a shift for that day, then i was told we were doing it again. I put up my shift for grab and no one picked it up. I put it up several times and no one still picked it up. When i was dialing the number for my job in which they never pick up the phone for employees or customers, one of my team leaders who is suspended from the CFA for acting and being disrespectful and not being a good team leader called me 2 hours i was suppose to come in saying didn’t you request that day off. I said yes i did and i explained the story. Then he passed the phone to another team leader who is very disrespectful, not welcoming, and in my opinion who doesn’t like me starts talking saying i have responsibilities between my job and whatever i do and I have consequences followed up after that. I said okay and he replied with he will call later and let me know what my consequences were. I didn’t receive a warning whatsoever and this my first write up. I never received a call back. I check my phone and i see that all my days i was schedule to work was removed and i thought that was my consequence. I log onto a website named Schedule fly where we check schedules and request days off etc and im not able to log in. One of my coworkers search up my name and its not showing which means that they removed me from it. I’m getting calls from coworkers and messages from a CFA group chat with all the teen employees saying i’m fired and that the team leaders assumed that i just didn’t want to show up which is never ever the case because I never missed a day. I come in, do what i have to do, then go home. I do certain jobs and my team leader that shows off hatred to me tells me and I quote ” Never ever bag again please”. That is my job, so since your telling me not to bag i can’t do my job. I call the two team leaders who called me earlier and none of them picks up the phone, respond to my texts, or gives a call back. Till this day, I haven’t received my consequences and I texted my team leader and i never got a response. They have been lessening everyone hours to where all or most of the employees want to leave and get a new job and they all feel disrespected. I’m not the only person who they fired without notice or with a warning. They fire people for no reason and with no paperwork. I have plenty of people who said that they will vouch for me and who is supporting me because they believe its not fair and I agree with them one hundred percent. They have been over labor and certain people believe that they needed someone to fire and because i didn’t show up they chose me in which may be true. I am contacting corporate and getting to the bottom of this because i believe i deserve justice. They are the most unorganized, disrespectful CFA I have been to because when i visit CFA Pompano, everything there is peaceful and in order. They need to get their priorities straight and be better leaders because our operator wants the teens to look up to our team leaders and let them be our role models, learn how to give back and many more but that hasn’t happened. Everything was running smoothly in the beginning and now it is a catastrophe. My operator is ever hardly there and I have no problem with him. He needs new team leaders, ones that will follow the rules and stop being hypocrites because they assign rules and never ever follow it.

Hello I went to chick fil a on Marbach rd in San Antonio Tx on Friday 02/13/2015. While I was ordering my food for my family and myself there was a traffic accident as i was saying my order. when i drove up there was an employee outside with a register taking the money and going over our order. I had forgotten to order an extra chicken sandwich so i asked if i could add a chicken sandwich to order and he said sure. added it up and gave me a new total. i paid him went up to drive thru window and asked the girls that were at the window, i say girls because there were two girls looking at the accident that had just happened. i asked the girls did you put the extra chicken sandwich i ordered with the guy at register. they both laughed and said yes. I asked them again is it the extra chicken sandwich i just ordered with guy at the register? Again they both said yest it is in there. I get home start pulling out the stuff and low and behold the sandwich is missing. My husband gets on the phone and calls chick fil a. He asked to speak to manager and manager states he has to pull up the recording and asked for receipt number. he told my husband he would have to call him back. at this point my husband assumes that all you guys need is the receipt and that if he just heads back to chick fil a he would get the sandwich that was never put in our bag. He gets to this location and asked for manager and the manager told my husband i have not had a chance to pull the recording because he is busy. My husband tells the manager why cant you just give me the sandwich you all forgot to put in bag? He said its policy that they review tape before they can do anything. My husband got very upset because we have never been treated this way by any fast food restaurant. my husband got a little loud with the manager and the manager could care less that my husband was upset because they did not do their job right. The manager asked my husband to leave and my husband asked for his corporate office number and he told my husband here is the card call them if you want. My husband called corporate office as he was walking out of chick fil a. He spoke with someone at the corporate office but the girl he spoke with took down his complaint and stated someone would call him back and today is February 17th and no call back has been received. I used to love chick fil a and my kids did as well. The fact that they are Supposed Christians made us want to support them even more as we are Christians as well. i used to go to chick fil a at least twice a week. I will no longer go to chick fil a, as i see that no one cares how these restaurants are being ran. And if this is truly their policy than i do not want to go thru this ever again so i just wont go. Very disappointing. I will also tell all my family and friends what we went thru so that they do not ever go thru this themselves.

This morning my husband and I went to get breakfast from the Chick-fil-a in Boone, NC and while at the window to receive our food the girl at the window started provocatively hitting on my husband right in front of me. This was out of line and uncalled for and totally inappropriate. Chick-fil-a is a Christian company who should hire employees who will respect their customers. On top of being completely insulted and aggravated I called the manager who told me he did not have time to deal with such a minor problem. To me this is not minor, having an employee leaning out of the drive through window asking my husband out in front of me is completely unprofessional and I want corporate to know how the manager totally disregarded my complaint on top of his employee acting completely unprofessional. I am a manager at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott which is located right behind this Chick-Fil-A so I am very conscious of how employees should and should not act on the job.

To whom it may concern,
Good evening, my name is Matthew Caleb Hollingsworth and I was recently, and very briefly, employed at Chick Fil A Tuscaloosa South, store number 03151 I believe, but unfortunately had to resign. I am contacting you to raise awareness of how this process was handled by the management of this store. I am a full time student at the University of Alabama and hoped to be able to get a job to provide myself with a little bit of supplemental income. Unfortunately this employment was short lived. I had explicitly said I did not want to work Tuesday or Thursdays, that I wanted those days for homework, and that I did not want to work too late as I had to be up at 6 am to make it to my morning classes. On my very first schedule I discovered I was scheduled to close every time I worked, and was also scheduled to work on a Thursday. I also did not leave the store until after 11 that night, much later than I was repeatedly assured I would be out by. When I brought this up to the manager during my next shift he informed me that I was only hired to close. This was not made clear to me beforehand however, there was nothing more than a comment in passing about how I was available to close. When my grades began to decline I became alarmed, as I am only able to afford college because of an academic scholarship, I must work hard to maintain it. The next morning I then sent an email, using the address that had sent me my work schedule as I had been given no other email to use, hours before my shift was scheduled to start explaining that I was very sorry for the inconvenience and that I had accepted this job before seeing how much work my classes this semester were going to be, and that with my grades suffering already there was no way I could continue working. I also included in this email that I was resigning, effective immediately, and again apologized for the inconvenience I knew this was. I did not receive a response the entire day and it was not until the next day that I then received an email explaining that I was fired for being unable to show up to my shift, and that in order to get paid for the small amount of time I had worked that I needed to bring in my uniform I had been given. When I went to hand in my uniform I inquired about the email I had received, and told the manager that I had already sent one beforehand explaining that I was resigning and was there anyway we could get the “terminated” status changed to a “resignation” status, and that I could easily pull up the email on my phone if he would like to see evidence to verify what I said. He said he didn’t want to see my email, that this was simply, “how we do it.” When I then pointed out that the handbook I was given, the handbook I had to read and sign before I could start work, says that Chick Fil A is an “at will employment” he only responded with, “It says that?” After I replied that yes, it did indeed say that, he said I was wrong and that I am supposed to provide a two weeks notice before resigning. I then responded and said that the handbook states it is appreciated, but not necessary. He again responded and said that this is just, “how we do it.” After I again stated that I had quit, and wanted the status changed, I was informed that I had not “professionally quit.” I tried to argue that it did not matter, quitting was still quitting, and I was told again, for the third time, that it did not matter, this was just, “how we do it.” I then simply said, “fine” and left. That was a couple of days ago, I have yet to receive an email, or even be paid for the time I did work, even though I returned my uniform. I request that something be done about this, I have eaten at Chick Fil A for many years, and have enjoyed it, but this treatment was absolutely ludicrous, and I shall definitely not be visiting that particular store anytime soon.
Sincerely,
Matthew Caleb Hollingsworth

I was very disappointed when visit the down town Decatur store #01873 on January 8,2015 at 8:07. I was in the drive line and made my order and it was not correct therefore I had to go around again through drive through and when I got to casher and told that was missing one of the sandwich. She was very rude and said that they had put the sandwich in my bag. I show them that I did not have the sandwich. I ask for tea because I had to come back through to get my order corrected. First of all she the manager was acting like she did not want give my sandwich in which I had already paid for. I am so upset that I just can’t say what need to be said

To Whom It May Concern,
Went to Greengate Center ChicFilA in Greensburg Pa and was very disappointed!! And hence, will continue to tell everyone we know hiw horrible the experinece and to not go there ever again! First, the store itself was filthy and kids (workers) was standing around doing nothing! Food was cold and we did not get what we ordered. We asked to speak to the manager and the woman said there were no managers there. We sat down and began to eat and the soda was nasty! It tasted like soda water instead of pop! We came to learn the machine needed cleaned and of course instead, every employee was talking and laughing but not working! It looked like we had interrupted a party going on. When my wife brought up the food the man in the line said it was fine. She said it was cold and we had the wrong food but didnt realize until our children began eating. He said he couldn’t do anything about it because we ate some of it. Well in my opinion that is unacceptable. Our order was all messed up and they can’t do anything about it because my children were starved and started to eat regardless! ( before we could say anything ) …and soda awful ….dirty bathrooms and dirty tables and floors! Lazy workers!
Also….they said there were no managers well, that was untrue. About a half hour later my wife saw a woman …well, I should say a unsophisticated female person walk in and head in the back. We asked one of the workers who was that? I thought you said there were no managers here. they said that’s Lisa and she isn’t a manager. They said she does our marketing. UNACCEPTABLE! Why couldn’t she have helped, maybe picked up a broom not ran to her office or back room to sit?
WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THAT CHIC FILA ever again or any ever again. If you make a mistake you fix it. We called corporate and they could not help much because we didnt know the exactly who we delay with.

Hello, my name is Adrienne, and was Christmas shopping at the Beaver Valley Mall, Beaver County, on Sat. night Dec. 13, 2014, my husband and I wanted to get chicken sandwiches with fries, we love the Chick- Fil-A, in Robinson Twp., and have eaten there often, good service. However, Saturday night we were at the Beaver Valley Mall, we wanted to bring some chicken sandwiches home for our son, this was around 7:45 p.m., we asked the young girl at the counter, what time do you close tonight she stated 10:00 so that was perfect, we will finish our shopping and be back around 9:40 to order our HOT sandwiches to go home and enjoy.
The three girls were all standing around finally after about five minutes, one of the girls decided to wait on us, I was placing my order, and the girl said, WHAT SANDWICHES, we don’t sell sandwiches now, we only sell drinks. WHAT the hell would I be coming back for just soda. The three girls were extremely rude, and laughed at us, like we were asking the impossible, The girl that stated you were open until 10:00.
Honestly, for this being run by CHRISTIANS, they were rude, and laughed at us. One of the women that was sitting at the food court, came to our defense, and stated, talk to the manager, these young girls need to know how to treat people, with a little bit of RESPECT, and this will be the last time, we will EVER stop at CHICK-FIL-A again.and will tell my family and friends. WE spent our 35.00, on delicious pizza and sandwiches at ANTHONYS. Best of luck, those women workers, and driving your business away.

I visited Alabaster, Alabama location on November 29th 2014, time was 1:00 o’clock.Clerk/Manager was loud and calling to customers what’s your order, get in line. It was very unprofessional, rude plus she had her name tag covered but I was able to possibly make out her name – Nancy – since the only letter visible was ny. The young counter person that took my order never smiled and seemed uninterested in working to serve customers. The area wasn’t extremely crowded fro that time of day.

I love Chick Fil A and the way I am treated. Very refreshing. As I often do, I visited the Middletown De. Chick Fil A for lunch and ordered the 12 piece nugget combo as did my son’s girlfriend. Soon after eating, we both became ill with diarrhea. In fact, I’m still having issues as I write this Email.
Brianna phoned the restaurant and reported our issues. She was told it couldn’t be the food or others would be calling in. My son had a chicken sandwich and did not become ill. Dispite what the person at the restaurant said, the fact remains that Brianna and I became ill after eating there.
Chick Fil A should take this seriously.
Disappointed how this was handled. This is exactly why lawyers get involved

To Whom it may concern:
My wife and I are Chick-Fil-A fans. Recently you opened a restaurant in our home town of Keller, Texas. Of all the fast food restaurants we go to, yours is our favorite.
In just over a year we will be moving to a city in East Texas named Athens, after we retire and move from the Fort Worth, TX area. This small city has around 8,000 people and the nearest one of your restaurants is in Tyler, TX around 35 miles away.
We were hoping that you would consider building a restaurant in Athens so that we could enjoy your good food when we retire and move there.
Your consideration to building a restaurant in Athens will be greatly appreciated. I feel that this would be a very good location because there are very few chicken restaurants there.
Thanks for your consideration.

I used to love chick-fil-a, until i uncovered a video about the company’s way of harvesting their chicken. Workers cruely handle the chickens, and the video i viewed just made me sick to my stomach. I do enjoy eating chicken, but your company needs to find a more humane way of produce chicken

I think we got some bad chicken on Saturday at your Arden Expressway store in Sacramento on. The food tasted good but I woke up at 2 AM the next day with diarrhea and got up every half hour afterward. It is not as bad today as it was yesterday. Yesterday I slept most of the day and vomited. My 11 year old son vomited yesterday (Sunday) and also slept most of the day. My wife seems to be mostly unaffected. It is now Monday morning and I don’t think I can go to work. No more Chick-fil-A for me. I hope that someone will read this that can fix the problem for the sake of others.

On November 3, 2014 I at 10:00 am, I was in a car traveling East on Walnut Grove in Memphis, TN. A man in a Chick-Fil-A truck (green), I am not sure of the make and model. The driver was very rude. I was in the left lane traveling at about 55 miles per hour. The driver of the Chick-Fil-A truck was riding my bumper and then sped up and moved in very close on my right side, he floored the truck and passed me into the right lane. He raised his fist and began shaking it and pointing to the right lane. I assume he wanted me to move to the right lane because I was traveling at the posted speed limit. I do think he was angry because I was not speeding in the left lane. This was very frightening and I do wish I had gotten his tag number so that I could report him. He was a very poor representation for Chick-Fil-A.

There was a Chick-Fil-A that opened near my job about 2 months ago. Since they have opened i’ve been going almost everyday for breakfast and lunch, One morning i went there on break and bought myself and a co-woker of mine meals. Turns out when i went back to work there had only been 1 meal in the bag. Mind you, i waited over 10 minutes in the drive thru for them to prepare my fries. I called them and explain to them that they messed up my order, in my eyes teenagers should not be managers since the young lady i spoke with did not know how to handle this situation. She told me that i needed a reciept of the order after continously informing her that i was never given one. So, she told me to come to the drive thru to get my meal replaced. I informed her i would be there first thing in the morning. That morning i went and informed them on my missing order and ordered my kids some food also (BUT.. only wanted my meal to be replaced and unpaid for) When i went through turns out little Taylor the manager never wrote my name down. After waiting over 10 mins in the drive thru Mr. David (The restaurant manager) comes out with his Iphone and takes a picture of me and walks away. I was livid. I asked his coworkers to have him speak with me because the way he handled the situation and informed his workers if i did not leave, he would call the cops on me. I am baffled how a company can act so customer service based but when they mess up they become total douchebags. I refuse to ever return to ANY Chick-fil-a and give them money for food ever again. You guys lost a loyal customer. *Middle fingers up!*

I was employed by chic-fil-a for a short time, and I’m grateful it was only for a short time. The Gen. Mgr. said he would mail me my check after he deducted 40.00 for a uniform I never received.I have been waiting on the check for a week, and nobody at the store seems to know where it is. There was an attempt to coherce my wife into endorsing the check. I’m no legal authority, but I think that’s against the law…it’s called FORGERY!!!
I happened to meet a young lady 2 days ago that informed me that she was denied employment because she didn’t attend church. Last time I checked the church was made up of people, and not brick and mortar. Closing on Sunday doesn’t qualify one to be called a Christian-based organization; especially when there are so many devilish individuals in charge!

I’m an employee at chickfila on forest drive . I work with some of the nastiest , rude , ugly attitude people you’ll ever meet . The General manager Dallas Broady is a ticking time ready to explode when things don’t go his . He talks to you like your an minority and treat his workers very ugly . Why have some of his workers gotten raises within the last 4 years and others haven’t . Then the other manager Patricia laws gossips really bad always being rude and loud with new workers who just started and are nervous. She always assume things and never ask . She constantly picks and talks behind everybody back behind there back . Now they have a new manager who’s highly aggravating and constantly fault finds . These three managers absolutely needs better attitudes and personality . The only manager who has shown great work and doesn’t have a attitude is Louis black . She’s one of the most outstanding mangers I know and should be the general manage of the store of forest drive .

For all of those people out there bad-mouthing Chick-Fil-A, there is something I think you all should know. This web site is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Chick-Fil-A. All of your complaints asking for improvements or changes in Chick-Fil-A quality and/or stores are falling on deaf ears. There’s somebody asking for help with their w-2 on this website for crying out loud. Chick-Fil-A has a website that you can visit to contact them directly with your problems. Just Google it. If you want to share your opinions of the company with the world, try a review website like Yelp. And, just for the record, Chic-Fil-A is one of the best ran, highest quality corporations in existence today.

Any CFA Grand “Openers” out there?? Anyone disappointed with their new crossover to digital cards (DOC) besides me? Here’s why (and it’s not TOO bad when someone takes something from me so long as they tell me the truth as to why..BUT..when they try to disguise it as a “positive” thing….well..that just doesn’t set well with me):
“Benefits include the ability to use the card multiple times during your visit to Chick-fil-A so that you can have guests dine with you, the ability to replace the card if lost or stolen and a “valid only through date” of approximately one year from the First 100 event you attended.” (straight from their website)
REALLY!?!?!?!?!?….Benifits??!! Come on CFA..what do you take us for?? How is this beneficial?:
1. We can no longer go as groups and divide the “booty” between the ones
who get in and the ones who don’t (everybody wins);
2. We can no longer give them as gifts to our loved ones;
3. We HAVE to use them by the expiration date or lose them (I still have
cards shrink wrapped from two years ago…I use them as I want not as
I HAVE to);
I guess the next thing will be having to use them AT the location in which they were won :/
The ONLY benefit I see is the ability (maybe) to replace it if lost.
CFA Corp…I hope you read this and realize there is probably going to be a decline in the participation at your 1st 100 Openings. I certainly, for one, will no longer be traveling long distances with groups of friends since the reward has been so drastically narrowed. Ho-Hum….those were some fun years!
I’m going to miss them!

Almost all restaurant have coupons that expire on a certain date, why is it OK for other companies to have expiration dates or digital offer cards but there is an outcry when chick fil a changes their policy. Try using an expired coupon at Mcdonalds, they would laugh in your face. We still take expired paper coupons. Just because it’s “Chick fil a” doesn’t mean we can’t follow the same rules that “almost all companies do”.

My daughter works at a chick-fil-a in Valdosta, Ga. She said that it in the employee handbook it is written that they are to receive one entree and one side as a free meal for their 30 minute break but the manager told her that that rule does not apply to that store. If that is the case why would it be written in the book? That doesn’t make sense to give employees a handbook with rules and regulations for them to abide by BUT the employer does not abide by what is stated in the book. Wouldn’t it make more sense to take it out the book instead of leaving it their and being a place of employment that starts off not keeping it’s word?!?!

Speaking for myself and other Southerners we extremely disappointed with you selling your soul out for the all mighty dollar-greater profits and greed. And you made your previous supporters look like fools. The Bible says a double minded man is “unstable in all his ways.” And indeed money is the root of all evil. “To gain the world and lose your soul” is not a very good trade off. With your new founded belief system, you just as well open on Sundays also, as this will further increase those profits. You simply cannot be a true Christian and go against Gods principals at the same time. You can only serve one master. You cannot be friends to the things of the world and to God at the same time. Moreover, we hope the Gay community can keep your business afloat because if left up to me other Heterosexuals, true Christians and the people of the South will sit back and watch your boat sink. And with the help of God I believe it will happen.

My wife and I just read an article in the Charlotte Observer in Charlotte NC. It sated that chick-fil-a planned on using only antibiotic free chicken in all stores in the next 5 years.
We have 2 questions to ask about this.
!- Do you mean to say that all this time we have been eating “tainted or posion” chicken?
{we thought yall had good chemical free chicken—-boy were we wrong!
2-we are not stupid enough to think it takes 5 years to change chicken suppliers. Can you explain that one?
Looks like we will have to wait 5 yrs. to eat any more of your chicken, unless you can get it done faster.
A truly Christian based company wouldn’t feed customers chicken with all the chemicals in it, which are killing people and causing cancer daily.
Step up to the plate, Chick-fil-a——QUICKLY

Recently went to chick fil a in Greenville NC (on Evans st) and had the WORST experience. Went through the drive through and received my food, when checking the bag I realized they put the wrong condiments in for my salad. Went inside to get the right condiments and after waiting 15mins for someone to actually help me, one of the cooks FINALLY came from the back to help me. I asked for light ranch again and still recieved regular. I went back to the counter to try and get the right item and STILL didnt get what I asked for. I went back to my car to return my whole order because I was fed up with the poor service and apparently uneducated people you have working for your company. My friend went inside for me however to try and get the right dressing and was told that you dont even carry light ranch and made to get another option. If you had competent employees working who would have told me that in the first place when placing my order in the drive through, I wouldn’t even have had this whole 20min long ordeal to just get salad dressing. By the time I got home to eat, I didnt even want my food because of my poor quality of service and not to mention my food was beyond cold by that point. Needless to say, i’ve been an avid fan/customer for chick fil a, but unless something is done about the service at that store I will NOT be returning and I will make sure to tell all my friends, family, and social networks about it and advocate that they not go either.

I love Chick-Fil-A. I do not understand how people refuse to enjoy Chick-Fil-A because it is a Christian organization. In fact, when I was young, I enjoyed eating there, but when I found out it was a Christian family who started the food chain I loved going there even more. The founders of Chick-Fil-A took a stand. They are not afraid of people knowing that they are Christians. And yet when they do share a personal fact, people criticize them on it. It is terrible. God warned all Christians that they would be persecuted for their belief. This is how Christians are prsecuted in modern day times. I encourage Chick-Fil-A to continue living strong and proud in their faith. Go Chick-Fil-A!!!

I would like to bring attention to the manager of the Chik fil a store in Clayton, Ga. On Nov. 21st 2013 my son and I were traveling to Highlands N.C to my father-in laws funeral. We stopped at the chik fil a store in Clayton that morning and a young manager stopped by our table and asked if everything was ok and we said yes. Then he asked what we were going to be doing with the rest of our day. We told him about the funeral and he shared with us about how close he was to his grandfather who had helped raise him. He offered my son a peppermint milkshake and said he wanted to do something to help. Its only been about 6 weeks but this manager has left a lasting memory of kindness that my son will remember forever. Thank You

I am highly disappointed in your company. While I stand whims the laws of God- as I thought your company did also- I would like to know why you choose to pick from those principles, when it suits you? Do you not know we are not to take people to court? You harassment of Bo Miller-Moore on his Eat More Kale shirts and stopping his patent, on three little words is dispicable! First of all- NOT ONE PERSON IS SO STUPID THAT THEY ARE GOING TO CONFUSE- EAT MOR CHICKIN WITH EAT MORE KALE! Why do you assume that we are stupid? Why do you think one had anything to do with the other? Kale is green, a vegetable and maybe people should eat more. Chicken- depending upon where you purchase yours- could be genetically altered, so they can’t stand on their own because they grow so fast, as well as featherless, beakless, antibiotic filled, INHUMANELY TREATED, creatures of God. I have been able to eat at one of your establishments format years because of my location- but will be sure to never eat at one again!
And some of the other emails I read, your management needs a swift boot out the doors and you need people with compassion! Not only for sick persons with cancers and such- but to treat employees as humans and not slaves. They are what keep you going! GODS JUDGMENT AMD WRATH OR NOTHING TO FOOL WITH! Remember that, while you live now, you shall die and face it…beware…for He is a loving God, but shall not forget the least to worst of everything we say and do!

Most people on this site complain about their food or orders placed. I am on here to let them know that at the Store in San Antonio TX on Dezavala where my teen is employed as a cook. In their kitchen they are understaffed and worked for more than ten hours at time without breaks. They are treated like factory workers, on a line, and yelled out. These young workers don’t have a voice and many options other than to quit. Has anyone stopped to think how many young cooks are in the back producing the hundreds on chicken sandwiches that are being sold. Well the answer to this question is two to three teens are in the back while the front counter and drive through might have about fifteen teens working. Next time you sit down to enjoy your sandwich think about the or ask how many cooks do they have in the back preparing these sandwiches and ask if they have sat down for the day to have their break. Those teens working in the back (kitchen) are very efficient and hardworking but given no breaks or the respect they so much deserve. They are approached with screaming from all sides and especially management. They go without breaks and are scheduled to work 10 to 12 hours on their shifts. It’s time more parents and customers stand up for the many young teens that get taken advantage by harsh and bad management.

I want to register a complaint with you about one of your stores in Gastonia,NC. It is with store #856 at Franklin Square, and it’s manager Teresa Chandler. She is nothing short of a bully. Last year I found out I had breast cancer, at first she and the owners were very supportive. I was out of work from August 15th of last year until Febuary 5th of this year. I also had to have 3 more surgeries since then. This person made my job a living hell. I never knew from 1 day to the next how I would be treated. She stated that they had been patient enough with me and they never knew when I might get “sick” again. I have worked at this store for 10 years with no problems till I got sick. I have witnessed first hand her bullying on many people. I have never had anyone at any job make me feel like my life did not matter and the world would be a better place without me in it until now. Please do not disregard my remarks, I think she needs better training and empathy for her fellow workers. But by the grace of God it could be her that gets “sick” next. Thank you.

I wish to take my hat off to the Chick-fil-a restaurant at 2310 Columbus Blvd. in Philadelphia, Pa. I was involved in a car accident with the railroad tracks crossing Columbus Blvd. I rode the tracks until I was able to exit which it was in front of this Chick-fil-a Restaurant. I did not have my phone either. The first Manager, Ms. Courtney Abbott allow me to use their phone to call for assistants. I believed I had 2 flat tires, which I had 2 spare ones in the trunk. Ms.Courtney allow one her workers, Micheal Patterson with a customer to go outside to change my tires. I was in shock with what I did to myself. The second manager, Nadene Holzer offer coffee, something to eat. Courtney constantly called for tow trucks to assist me, but none showed up. It seemed they treated me like I was one of their customers. No tow truck arrived by the time everyone was leaving from the store for the night. Ms. Courtney lived around the corner from the store, but she drove me home instead of me staying out there where it was dark and no bus route. This team of people did not allow me to be cold or hungry. I was too nervous to eat but Nadene, Courtney and Micheal need SPECIAL AWARDS for helping a person not coming there to Chicl-Fil-a for a meal. I want everyone to know the special treatment, kindness and attention they gave me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is comment that needs to be known, NOW

Sir, Chick-Fil-A of Springdale Ohio is flying a U.S.Flag that looks very bad coming apart, colors more pink than red. It is a slap in the face of all Veteran who gave their life’s for our flag. And every Man and Woman who ever served in uniform. Posted on Chick-Fil-A Springdale Facebook and called on phone doesn’t make any different to them. There is a responsibility that goes with flying our Flag , to always be in good condition. IT would be better to not fly than to fly it looking like Hell.. Maybe they will listen to you Thank You for your time. Daniel J. Mastrullo U.S. Army Veteran

In one of your recent commercials depicting the young woman getting “bustid” there is a glaring grammatical error in the last scene in which you use “your” a possessive pronoun, when you should use the contraction for “you are” which is “you’re.” I understand the comical misspelling of words and that is acceptable but it seems that younger people today are not taught proper grammar and this perpetuates the issue.
Thank you.

The owner/operator of the Salem, Virginia location has throw food at his employees on several occasions. One time he threw food at a minor and his mother was up front ordering food and she saw it and made him quit. He screams at all his employees when he’s mad, and he makes them cry. It doesn’t even phase him. He’s cursed, and throw trays at the wall out of anger. I don’t know how to contact Chick-Fil-A headquarters, but someone REALLY needs to do something about him. I’ve heard that several of the people that quit because of him have tried writing letters to the headquarters. He really shouldn’t be allowed to run a business like that, especially when so many of the employees are minors. Not to mention everyone is terrified of him. People have said they feel sick when they get to work and see his truck in the parking lot. Everyone is walking on eggshells when he’s around. They’re scared to do anything or say anything because the smallest things will make him blow up. Please, please, do something about him. The E-mail I provided is legit, and I’d love to hear back from you.

My family and I have enjoyed Chick-fil-A sandwiches, etc., for quite a few years in many different locations. However, in traveling recently to different areas, we have eaten at several outdoor locations and been very disappointed. These locations, being outside, attract birds in the rubbish containers and on the tables, food is littered on the grounds, winds make eating difficult and spread debris around. During one visit a heavy rainstorm fell, making it impossible to enjoy our meals. Further, the locations each had just one restroom to serve one person at a time outside. Please, please eliminate these outside locations and go back to the inside locations we have enjoyed for so long. Thank you.

I hesitated to write this comment but feel I must to avoid a future occurrence. I have had
excellent service at Chick-Fil-A in the past, however, on the morning of 8/2/13 we attempted to receive service at the Bristol Mall Chick-Fil-A in Bristol Va. When my granddaughters and I arrived, there were 2 long lines and we proceeded to wait on a line. When we reached the point of service the cashier turned her back on us and began filling other orders. She was accompanied by a women I assumed to be her supervisor. The server took so long the person behind me asked why and she answered “there is only one line”. Her register was still open and when we reluctantly changed lines she began taking orders again. I don’t like to think this was a racial incident because we are a black family but I have no other recourse as we were the only black family present at the time.

Well I have tried emails to corporate and asking in my local store. No one seems to know what to do when the calendar card does not work? I think the paper coupons where much easier. But it would be nice if I could use the cards I have. Thanks!

To whom it may concern,I am sending this email with a small complaint, recently my wife camped out with my young daughter for the grand opening of the new store in Bradenton fl. And was the 91st pick in the lottery of a100 for free chic fil a for a year . Because my wife and I work full time jobs and our daughter is home with her brothers over the summer we thought it would be nice for her brothers to be able to take her for lunch so we gave her a couple of the coupons to use while we were at work . On August 9th she attempted to use one of the coupons at the store in Desoto Square Mall where she wanted a spicy chicken meal and was told that the supervisor would only honor the coupon for a regular chicken meal not the spicy, as far as we can tell the coupons should be good for any chic fil a sandwich meal . Please advise as to whether this is true or not. Thank you ! With high respect for the chic fil a organization and more than regular customers for your outstanding and top quality food and service! Sincerely Todd k Moran ( spouse Lisa A Moran )

Let me start by saying that I have never had a complaint with this company before now, but I am very disappointed that you have taken Carrot Salad off the menu. There were always three items I could depend on, the wonderful sandwich delicious icedream and healthy carrot salad. Why and how could you take this item off the menu. I know young mothers who order this for their children to promote healthy eating habits, elderly who also eat this for the nutritional value and every one else who simply enjoy it. My 85 year old mother in law never eats at Chick-Fil-A without ordering this nor does my 21 year old son. Shame on you for deleting this item, carrots cannot be that expensive…PLEASE BRING IT BACK and soon. Thank you

Although I love the food at Chik Fil A I have started not to visit as often as I normally would due to the price hikes and changes in the menu and food portions are smaller. Purchased a Cobb Salad tonight and instead of giving me chicken strips they gave me cut up chicken nuggets that didnt even amount to the chicken strips that I was suppose to recieve. Then ontop of that I ordered a medium drink and the price went up but the cup size Iis the size of other restaurants like mcdonalds, burger king, and wendy small size. Hiwever the price increased but the cup size didnt. I spent $27 for what I normally would spend $21 and the food containersnare smaller. In the salad there was more of the large stalk pieces of the iceberg lettuce than the actually lettuce pieces. Horrible and most disappointing experience. Although, I can go on an on about previous experiences at this particular locations. Food definitely not worth the price anymore. Lower your prices and restore the old menu and containers if hou want to more committed customers the way I once was. I use to eat cjik fil a everyday at least once per day. Dont ghink I can afford to do that now.

So you believe in God and His principles? I remember reading a story about a man who followed Jesus for about 3 years, convincing others that He was the Messiah. Then came that fateful night for Jesus when he met Judas in the garden and was betrayed. Then there was the story of a Governor who had to make a decision whether to listen to the angry crowd or to his conscience. Even his wife warned him to let Jesus go. But instead, he wanted more to keep his throne rather than risk it for a man he barely knew; but knew he was innocent. So he washed his hands; thinking his conscience would be cleared. So Mr. Cathy: what principles are worth risking your wealth for? God has given Chick-Fil-A great wealth because He said so. Now the rest of us are asking; WHY? God gave it and He will take it away. God always keeps score. You can break the stigma that you now have of being like Judas, or you can keep the 30 pieces of silver. You can break the bonds of greed that makes you think you can hold onto your throne, or you can get your conscience back by ignoring those who don’t want to eat at your stores anyway; anymore. No one thinks this issue hasn’t been trying for your company, but was there a time when you believed that your success came because God ordered it? If not, then carry on. But if so, why risk losing it all for something you don’t believe in? (Gay Marriage) Let the LOST see what it is to be a true CHRISTIAN. Let God see you as He ordered you to be seen; CHICK-FIL-A.
