We purchased a Uniden scanner from the West Town Mall, Knoxville TN store in Sept. 2018. My son went in to the store asking for a DIGITAL scanner. The mgr/owner sold him one that he said was digital. We looked up the codes with him and it appeared it was the right scanner for our area. However, it would not work and we returned it to the store the next morning. We called Uniden to be informed that it was not a digital scanner and would not work for us. We did this while in the store. The mgr/owner refused to return our money even knowing that it was not our mistake that we purchased this product. We were out $300 and not very happy. This man showed his integrity when he refused to admit a mistake and do the right thing. I called the headquarters and talked to several employees. Eventually talking to a man by the name of Matt. He was able to get the store to refund our money in full. So, for the store, I would NEVER buy anything from there again. If you do, be sure it is exactly what you want. Regardless if the employees tell you it is right or not. I can’t even give the store a low enough rating. As for Matt and the headquarters in Texas, 5 stars all the way.

Rest Radio Shack folks,
I’ve never had any negative issues at your stores. I would never order anything online because I usually need my items immediately and the hardware, home improvement and electronics stores stock pretty much everything I need. You recently closed a “bazillion” locations while keeping some open. The stores that remain, are shells of what they use to be, filled now with complete and utter crap. It’s so depressing, much like many of the remaining Kmart stores – just depressing. It’s like you’re making a less than half-hearted attempt to even be a store. I certainly will never purchase any of the garage sale like crap spaced conspicuously on the shelves and probably won’t ever visit one of your stores ever again! To be frank, I think your business model is hollow, the staff in your stores, generally speaking, mope about as if hoping they’re misery will soon end. How depressing and sad – another case of uber poor senior mgmt. Wow!

I OWN 3 BUSINESSES, 2 SUBWAYS SHOPS AND A PIZZA SHOP FOR 19 YEARS SO I’D LIKE TO THINK I KNOW A LITTLE ABOUT OPERATING A BUSINESS.
ON FEBRUARY 26, 2017 JUST 2 SHORT DAYS AGO AS MY FAMILY WAS SHOPPING AT THE OHIO VALLEY MALL IN ST. CLAIRSVILLE OHIO I NOTICED A RADIO SHACK AND UNFORTUNATLY THEY WERE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. I DO NOT NORMALLY SHOP AT THIS RADIO SHACK AS I HAVE ONE CLOSER TO MY HOME ON NATIONAL ROAD IN WHEELING, WV.
I INFORMED MY WIFE THAT MY SON NEEDED A MICRO CARD TO GO INTO HIS GO PRO THAT HE GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. NOT KNOWING MUCH ABOUT THIS I WENT INTO THE STORE AND A GENTLEMAN HELPED ME AND I BOUGHT A 64 GB CARD.
FOR $45.03 THAT WAS DISCOUNTED DUE TO GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.
WELL WE GET HOME AND THE GO PRO WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS CARD. IT SAYS TO USE A 32 BIT CARD SO TODAY I WENT BACK TO RADIO SHACK AT THE MALL AND TOLD THEM “I JUST WANT A 32 BIT CARD. THEY DIDN’T HAVE IT SO I SAID I’LL JUST TAKE A 16 BIT THAT YOU HAVE FOR 29.99 AND IT WAS DISCOUNTED 30%, SO BASICALLY ABOUT 10.00 OFF SO ROUGHLY $20.00 PLUS TAX.
REMEMBERN MINE WAS 45.03. I WANTED NO MONEY BACK, NOTHING. I TOLD THE LADY SALES PERSON I WANT NO MONEY BACK JUST TRADE ME EVEN UP SINCE I CANNOT DO ANYTHING WITH THE 64.
THE ANSWER WAS NO! REALLY, REALLY AND I MEAN REALLY. A CHANCE TO RESALE THIS PRODUCT AND MAKE A ADDITIONAL 23.00 BUCKS OFF OF IT AND I WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO THIS. STILL NO?????
WELL I’M STUCK WITH THIS 64 BIT CARD AND YOU DUMBA**ES ARE STUCK WITHOUT A CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER STEP INTO ANOTHER RADIO SHACK AND I WAS JUST IN THE ONE IN WOODSDALE LAST WEEK. WHO IN THE HELL WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN THAT DEAL. A WIN WIN FOR BOTH PARTIES.
ANYWAY WITH SALES PEOPLE LIKE THAT AND WHOEVER SHE CALLED THE REST OF YOUR STORES WON’T BE IN BUSINESS LONG EITHER. 194 DOWN THE DRAIN AND MORE TO COME I’M SURE.

I purchased a Linksys wif fi extender on August 17,2016 as of the last evening December 25,2016 it quit working. I did take it back to the Radio Shack where I purchased it and was told since it is over 30 days ago they could not help me and to contact Linksys.
I contacted Linksys where basically I was told just I am sorry. They will not honor the one year warranty on this product and I was out over $100 in which I paid for this item and now have a non working item. Linksys did ask if I had my receipt in hand for the item, YES I do !!!!
I am appalled at this type of Customer Service and can seriously state I will never purchase another item from Radio Shack or Linksys. I have been totally RIP OFF !!!!!

I am writing to complain about a young man who works in your location on Judge Perez in Chalmette, la. On several occasions my wife went into thhis location to make purchases. On all three occasions she was harassed by this same young man who appears to be in a management positon. He has made comments that would be unbecoming of someone who is supposed to be in a position of authority in a customer service based business. I am contacting my Attorney to followup with this harassment, because if I go into this store it may come to a different type of resolution. I hope that you take this complaint serious for I would hate to see your business suffer from the acctions of one idiot. He was in the store this afternoon wearing a Santa capp and there was a young black female and a young white gut in the store with him. Your prompt attenton in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Today I visited Radio Shack on 4th Street in Lubbock, TX., purchased an item, found I had been sold the wrong item and returned to the store to get a refund. To my amazement the store clerk had left the store in the charge of 2 Sprint phone employees who could not handle my return. They said that the Radio Shack clerk had “gone to the other store for a while”. Half an hour of my valuable time later the store clerk returned and stated that he needed my phone number in order to complete the return. I told him that I do not give out my phone number to anyone. He refused to give me a credit to my Visa card unless I gave a phone number. I told him that my number was 806 XXXX XXXXX and he laughed and said that he did not believe that the number I had given him was a real phone number. I told him that either he could call his supervisor or I would call the police. He called the supervisor who reiterated that the Radio Shack policy required a phone number or an email address in order to make a return. I gave an email address and left the store with my credit to my Visa. I do not plan to ever set foot in a Radio Shack store again as long as I live. First they sell you the wrong thing, then they abandon the store to the care of non-employees and then they invade the customer’s privacy. What a sorry bunch.

I recently purchased a car charger on 5/3/16 from our local radio shack in Bartow Fl. I told the salesman I wanted a charger that would charge quickly she sold me a 4.8 charger and a cord also which cane separate the cord was radio shack and the charger a different brand . It worked fine for several days then I thought my charging port was going bad I fially discovered after tinkering with it cane to the conclusion it was the cord. I could not find my receipt so I finally went in the store to ask what they could do I spent almost 40 bucks on these items . First thing I was told that the cord worked after I had taken the time to explain how I had determined it was the cord wgich was to use my house charger cord in the 12 volt charger and it charged wonderfully. But you sales associate Adam began to insist I had no clue what I was talking about then he told me that he did not know where I got the charger from and offended me by telling I did and could not have bought the charger there and tried to say I was lying. I told him that there was one on the shelf behind him and he still insisted that RS did not sell that brand until I asked him to open a box and he was wrong. Your sales man Adam did not want to hear what I had to say and because I did not have the receipt would not even consider making it right. I will not be back to radio shack and I had quit shopping there a long time ago ouver a simular problem…. if you cant make it good and stand by your products I will not wver go back asa cutomer. And I will be sure to tell my story to all my friends

I have been trying since Dec 2015 to get Radio Shack to pay for Heating & AIr services that we provided to the Wake Forest, NC store #012344-03 Lease. We were issued work order #919486 and met all requirements. I have been in contact with several people in facilities and have been told they “will call me back” which never happens. I have been told the check was in the mail by Michael Cuilla. When I spoke with him on 06/08/16 he said he would personally walk the invoice to accounting and call me back. I called again today and he said he would check on it again and call me back. I’m pretty sure that this will not happen. The invoice is only for $125. What do we have to do to get paid?

I build custom tube amplifiers, operating at 5-amps, 460vDC. I purchased Catalog #: 2740254 which are angled phone-plugs 1/4″ input. Nice plugs–sadly, as I just learned, the tips of these plugs, though isolated and insulated at the tip from its sleeve, the solder tab internal, is a compression fit, non solder-able terminal except for the actual solder tab. What holds that tab to the tip is by compression–NOT by solder or anything that would protect the circuit from seeing an “open” via lost of signal or intermittent continuity that when vibrated, causes the tip of the plug to lose contact with the solder tab inside where the wires attach to ground and power. This caused speaker damages, output tube arc and output transformer damages in excess of $600.00–not to mention since the plug activated the output jacks shorting contacts which protects the circuit from accidental ground potential and an open circuit, it took hours to isolate the specific problem. My losses are in excess of component damages transformer overheating within the tapped windings, and time designing the amp, 100-watts, two channel, and the time that went into the trouble shooting. This phone plug is completely incompetently designed, marketed and sold by Radio Shack–NOT one of my Switchcraft plugs have a tip that has the potential in loss of connection which places a high voltage circuit at risk of an open-short to chassis ground. This had also the potential for killing me, had I not FINALLY discovered that the solder tab is free-spinning and that the tip material is NOT solder-able. This product should be pulled from the shelves, Radio Shack Executives should notify their suppliers, and I should be compensated for my losses–not to mention the time my transformer engineers, tube/audio suppliers and others spent, trying to assess if the issues were within their organizations. I will be seeking remedy. Until then, I recommend anyone who has Catalog #: 2740254 phone plug to cease use immediately–it is NOT safe and has the potential to damage a circuit due to faulty contact designs.

I received a police scanner as a gift. I could not get my area as it went digital. I was over the 30 day return policy. Wanted to exchange it and get a digital which would be a few hundred dollars more. Was told NO, can’t do it . Wrote to customer service and was told the same thing. I wrote back and said I am purchasing a more expensive item and you would not except this return, I said then I will purchase a police scanner from another company. and the rep said , well sorry you feel that way. they just will not work with you. So they lost my business, and I will never shop their again.

Today I went to Radio Shack at 6212 6th Ave ,Tacoma Wa 98406-7775 as I have been a customer of Radio Shack for years with no previous concerns. This was different store then my old one as my old one was now closed out. Today I went there to purchase a Chromecast Device for my phone. After talking with the agent who explained basically how it worked and also convinced me to add the protection plan , I left feeling confident with my purchase. When I arrived home to install the device I found that it wasn’t in the box. I called to ask about it and explained to the person my concern, that person then put me on hold. I knew I still wanted the device and decided to drive back to the store, a 20 minute ride still on hold till the call dropped. I arrived and presented the same lady who earlier sold me the device, the box and explained the device was not in the box when I opened it. She said “The box seems lighter than when it left “. Several times she said this while looking the box over. I asked what she was implying and she again said” I haven’t accused you of anything ,yet. I’m just saying it’s lighter.” I am a retired veteran and I have never stolen anything in my life! Her way of speaking and the implication started to raise my surprise that now I was feeling accused. I asked her “Are you implying I stole this ?” Getting more concerned she just repeated “I’m just saying it seems lighter than when I left earlier with it “. I showed her my military ID card and license and said I just want a new device. She was hesitating and I be came more frustrated. She said if I don’t calm down I could take my business else where! I repeated I just want a new device and I don’t steal anything and never have. She then started to explain sometimes her manager removes the devices out of the boxes. Then she decided to look at another box and took a new box off the shelf, the same as mine and decided to open it. Like the one I bought, it was sealed by scotch tape, not the factory seal. What she found was this box too was missing the device. This alarmed me even more. So then she got the last one off the shelf, which had the factory seal still on it and opened it. Of course the device was in the box. She gave me the new device as we both calmed down. To keep the peace and leave without further discussion I took it and left and said “Thank you”. Now looking back my concern is, if she new the device sometimes is missing in the boxes especially when it is missing the factory seal, why did she send me off with it in the first place? I felt very frustrated with this service person and will not go back to that store again. I have been in customer service many years and have even taught it in the corporations I’ve worked for, this was very poor customer service.

I bought a galaxey j3 from radio shack in Longview, WA. less than 2 weeks ago n when I bought it the lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted to add the protection plan on it so that way if I drop it n break it or something then they would replace it at no cost to me for up to a year so I said yeah. Well today low n behold I drop the dam thing n bust the inner screen so I get all the paperwork box receipt etc. and go to radio shack to get it replaced n the dude behind the counter tells me that the protection plan doesn’t cover dropping n breaking it n that he can guarantee that the lady who sold it to me did not tell me it did, so I said if she had not told me that I would not have paid extra for the payment plan. N again he said I can personally guarantee she did not tell me that. So I told him I’ll just come back when she’s working n he tells me oh she don’t work here anymore so I told him how convenient I’ll call the corporate office cuz I ain’t dealing with his bullXXXXX n left… WTF!!! How the he’ll can he guarantee shot when his ass was not there for one n for another how does he know if the chik who sold it to me still works there or not I never told him who she was n he never checked my receipt or looked anything up… I paid over $200 bucks for the dam thing plus extra for the dam protection plan. I recently bought a phone with sprint & the closes location to us was the Radio Shack in Malden, MA. As my mother and I walked in, there was a radioshack employee on her cell & the Sprint employee as well. Neither one asked if we needed help they just both were two busy discussing a youtube video they had seen & laughing out loud. After the sprint employee finally assisted us with her attitude she proceeded to send messages through Facebook as we stood right infront of her. When my mother asked her a question about our bill she then said she wasnt the one who sold us the phone & it wasn’t her problem. If that wasn’t enough the radio shack employee decided to jump in yelling no company will adjust our bill in a rude way. Radio Shack in Malden, Ma has to be the worse customer service we have received & will never step foot in that business again. Employees have no manager in the store so decide to do whatever & treat customers without respect!

RadioShack is the worse company ever. They don’t care about there employees. In a snowstorm they are making my husband stay at work when the government declared a state of emergency and wants everyone home but no let’s stay at RadioShack and risk our lives.

I worked for them for 16 years, Agreed they DO NOT care about their employees at all. If we did not open the store during a snow storm they would fire the person who was supposed to open. They always threatened they have “At Will Employment” I left them over 15 years ago… It was the Best decision I ever made.
I was a SR manager and ran a very profitable store. My Associates were the best paid in the district until “Corporate replenishment” stopped filling the items that we sold the most of. I only go there when I need something and can’t wait to receive an item from somewhere else.

I work at Radioshack now, at this time it is owned by a different company and i have an exact opposite story. during the flood in Louisiana the company did not say anything when I was not able to work for almost a week while getting out of a shelter and getting our appartment cleaned and livable. To the person stating you worked there 15 years ago… they are owned by different people now so policy is a bit different.

I am a 54 yr old retired widow that was in sales ALL MY LIFE. I was very good at it. I sold cars, electronics for Cowboy Malony in Jxn, MS, Furniture and started out smaller. anyway I went into a Radio shack in Brandon, MS and the salesman was pitiful. He either did not want to sell me the 60 dollar item because it would mess up his numbers or he was lazy and awful at his job. He had no training. He did not want to unlock the item so I could see it. I was the ONLY customer in the store. I asked him if I had to sync it with my phone every time I got in the car and he told me yes. When I asked him further he told me I only had to sync it the first time and it would do it automatically from then on. He either did not want me to buy it or he is a terrible salesman. Either way Radio Shack has a bad enough reputation in this area without employees blatantly being rude and totally not wanting to help customers. He should be fired fast before he runs of more customers. He is a young black man around 30 that was the only person I saw working at 12:30pm Wen. 12/30/15. He may have been the manager but if that is the case it makes the situation worse. I will report this to corporate. I will not buy anything from this person. I will go to a different location or likely order online from newegg. They have better prices and no rude employees to deal with.Brandon, MS 39042

I purchased a digital scanner for my husband for Christmas from your store in Roanoke Va. When the gift was opened on Christmas morning we discovered that the incorrect scanner was in the box. The picture on the box nor the users guide matched the scanner. We took it back to the store on Saturday day after Christmas and the young man that waited on us was very helpful and offered to order us another one since they did not have one in stock and we could exchange when it came in. I received a call on Tuesday the scanner was in and I again went back to the store to exchange it. Then the problems began. I was told by Harley after calling the marketing manager Mr Woods that it could not be refunded or exchanged because that model was no longer sold in the stores. I ended up calling Mr Woods myself who ended up telling me how long he had been with the company and that he knew his products and there was no way possible that scanner was in that box! So, now I felt like he was calling me a liar which I felt like he really was. I’ll admit I did get loud with him on the phone in the store and I did not care who heard me. In the end he gave Harley the OK to exchange the item for me if I promised to NEVER step foot in that Radio Shack store again which of course I will never do. I cannot remember a time I have felt so degraded in my life and I am almost 60 yrs old! I honestly do not know how the wrong scanner got put in that box but all I know is it’s the one that was in the box when I walked out of the store in Roanoke Va the day I bought it all I wanted was the scanner that I purchased not the product that was in the box. Very disappointing for a company to treat customers this way!

I have been a loyal customer of Radio Shack since childhood. Just 20 minutes ago I was in one of your stores in SW Arlington, Texas buying a few items. While searching my options I over heard 2 employees trash talking about the store next to them. Being very rude and disrespectful about their neighbor. One of the young employees then began using foul language in my hearing range saying several words. Then realizing that I was still in the store he attempted to back pedal and change his words. Very disappointed with these two employees and teaching your employees respect and good manners towards your neighbor stores should be looked into by management. I will be a loyal radio shack customer but will be shopping at another location from now on.

IF THATS WHAT YOUR TOLD YOU,THEN YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF. But I don’t think this is something you didn’t no, with big stores like your you are all ways trying to bring your profit numbers up, and if you can get a battery made cheaper and sell it for the same money, that’s more $ in your pocket, but that way of thinks is killing this country. cheaper is not biter! your name brand batteries to the ones you sell now, the life is 1/2 of what they were. just so you know, I am a dad that buys 100s of batteries a year for my boys electronics and I will have to go back to Duracell they last longer than your new batteries but they are NOT as good as your old ones. thanks for your Time; Todd Eblin

In September 2014 I went into my local Radio Shack, 730 DR MLK Jr Blvd Seffner FL to get more information on the Sprint advertisement I saw on TV. The gentlemen the told me I could get 4 lines for 2 week trial period if I didn’t return them and we could try another carrier. I did just that. I returned all phones and accessories. I then went with another carrier since I was unable to use my phone in my home or at work.
Starting in January 2015 I got calls asking for $1,500.00 from Sprint. I explained to Sprint that I was on a 2 week trial and gave them the Radio Shack information to verify what had said. Everything seemed fine until May 2015 when I start receiving Collection calls stating I owed money to Sprint. I explain the same thing to them as I did Sprint. I was told that Radio Shack would be contacted. Yet here I am in October 2015 and still getting calls from collections for Early Termination fees that don’t exist. The Radio Shack is now closed and there is no way to provide the proof I need to Sprint. I plan on calling Radio Shack HQ and Sprint HQ so this can be resolved, I’m NEVER using Radio Shack for anything again. They have caused me more problems then I ever imagined. I had a credit score over 800 and now that is ruined due to people not communicating.

I was looking for a mhl extension cable 1st the saleman didnt know what i was talking about after i explained him the i had bought amhl micro usb hdmi cable for my samsung I just needed an extension since that cable its only 6ft & i wanted a little longer, finally he understood & found me a cable i specifically ask him if that will work w/my samsung since they are an 11 pin micro & he assure me it would & that was an universal cable so i went ahead & bought it. As soon as i went home i tried the cable & unfortunately it didnt work the male part from the cable that i have bought didnt fit the female part from extension cable so i had to go back to returned the item.
The funny thing was the day i purchase the item the saleman Jim O’Connor was the manager or the “Boss Man” like his business cards said which i didnt know who he was till the day i went to returned the item. Anyways the point is the when i purchased the item Mr O’Connor was very nice, friendly & he even show a little smile on his face……when i went back Friday September 25th (4 days after) the Boss Man got bother the i was returning the item & was a little rude & asked the salesman Damon the was there to go ahead & cancelled the transaction & issue me a refund & slam the receipt on the counter & walked away to the back he was the opposite from Monday.
I dont know why this company has a bad bad customer service it seems like this is a requirement for this company to get hire cuz the employees are all very rude & lazy dont like to work. Long long time ago i had an issue w/this company & i had to told my self the i was never going to buy anything again after many many years has passed by i was a little skeptical to go inside the store on Monday to look for the cable but then i said perhaps things have change & i should give them another chance but now i see that the services have not improved nor the employees no wonder this company file for bankruptcy & finally will not longer exist………………..!!!!

I went to one of your locations looking for an adapter to conect a headset with a single 1/8 plug to a PC with separate 1/8 earphone and microphone jacks, the employee was very friendly and helpful and knew exactly what a was talking about, looked out on his system but was out
On saturday 09/12/2015 around 6 pm I went to your location on 2071 E Irvington Rd, Tucson, AZ, I asked for the same item in the exact same way i did on the previus location, your employee on this location (short, hispanic around 30 years old) told me they didnt carry that item, I insisted saying that I had already been to another radio shack location and they did carry it but they were out, he replied on a very rude tone of voice saying he had many years of experience and knew what he was saying and his location did not carry that item.
I printed out the info for the item i need from radio shack web site and I went back the next morning to the same location on 2071 E Irvington Rd, a diferent employee was there and found the item for me, unfortunetly the other employee of the previus night was there too and once again started talking rude to me saying that i hadnt explained what i needed correctly ,i told him I had explained it perfectly, he said he has showed me what ha had, I told him he was lying since he didnt even walked to where the items are, (something you can confirm looking at your store video), he continued beeing rude, so I decided to take video of him with my self phone, he got even more rude and he refused to sell the item to me
I wanted to contact your corporate offices before I made the video I took of him public, I am a regular client of your stores and have always been treated friendly and helpfully
Thank you in advance

My Radio Shack lightning cable started coming apart less than 2 weeks after purchase. I tried returning it to the Orange, Ca. store on Chapman within the 30 days with an original receipt. I was told by Sergio that any item returned must be in PRISTINE condition, I explained to him that the product was manufactures defect and could not be returned in PRISTINE condition. After 1 hour, and calls to other stores, a manager from the Garden Grove store instructed him to give me a replacement. SAVE YOUR TIME AND AGRIVATION, don’t waste your money on Radio Shack, they lost their connection to customers. I also had to wait 15 minutes for Sergio to return to the store after his break, The cell phone employees were watching the store but couldn’t help on the Radio Shack side. Good example of a good store being destroyed by bad policies and rude employees

Hi there,
Recently I bought a temperature controlled soldering iron. I was displeased with this product as it did not adequately heat up. Being an electrical engineering student I need a good soldering iron that I can count on. I attempted to return this defective item and was met with an unpleasant individual at the Coeur d’Alene location. The manager there, Alexis, refused to return it and was completely unhelpful, defensive, and rude. I no longer have confidence purchasing items at Radioshack as I fear if I have a product that does not work properly, I will have no recourse.

Dear Joseph C. Magnacca, Dorvin D. Lively, & Telvin P. Jeffries,
I’m commenting today partly to see how far your jaws may drop when you read my message, and partly in support of comments left by “Joseph” on January 15, 2015 at 1:52 pm! Ever since I was a little kid (round about age 5), I’ve been experimenting with electronics. I can’t count the number of times my parents had to “discipline” me for dismantling and rebuilding the family’s BW and (eventually) Color TVs, transistor radios, and a host of other electronic “gadgets” that they paid hard earned money to buy for us kids.
At first, I would do business only with a company called “Lafayette Radio Electronics”, until “Radio Shack” squeezed it out of business round about the mid-1960s. I could get any electronic device or component I needed from LRE (as long as it was a Vacuum Tube or was made of insulated copper), but, for the life of me, they never could provide me with “educational” materials such as literature, DIY Kits or even learning labs. I was quick to switch my allegiance when I heard about RS’s learning lab “toys” (kits really), that were jam-packed with illustrated diagrams, instructions, and included a wide variety of the latest NPN/PNP transistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, resistors, rheostats, and, well, you get the picture I guess.
Ever since then, I’ve been a loyal patron of RS spending probably 2 or 3 times more money than I ever spent on tuition for a B.S. degree in Engineering! I’ll bet that I’ve come close to having purchased almost every product RS has ever offered at retail, including your once awesome “how to…” books and DIY kits. I was saddened when one of your Employees informed me a year or 2 ago that your stores were no longer selling CB “Walkie-Talkies” under the Radio Shack brand name.
Over the past 2 decades, I’ve become heavily involved in FEMA’s “Community Emergency Response Team” program, and in my capacity as a Team Leader, I’ve developed communications plans that rely heavily on both FRS/CB radios to coordinate the several sections of my Team during a disaster response. The Search & Rescue units use CB Walkie-Talkies because they “get out” of a collapsed building better than FRS. The Triage and Medical/First Aid sections prefer FRS Radios because they are closer to the ICS with fewer signal obstructions and because of the privacy channel features.
I have to agree with (most of) Joseph’s suggestion that Radio Shack should “… get back to what Radio Shack was all about which was CB and Ham radios, radio kits and supply’s like antennas, coax, ladder line, connectors, electronic parts such as diodes, Caps, Resisters, Chokes, wire, ETC and do away with the BS crap like overpriced cheap ass toys, cell phones and the like.” However, since cell phones are (more or less) a radio in disguise, I think RS may do better to keep those products in the catalogs.
I purchased 10 of RS’s CB Walkie-Talkies two or three years ago for my SAR Teams, but, a couple of months ago, a Burglar decided to relive me of the huge maintenance burden of recharging all those batteries! (Bless his/her sole.) Now that I have to replace them, I can’t find comparable units with features I’m counting on at a fair price. Since RS has withdrawn from the CB WT market, Midland, ICOM, Cobra and all the others have jacked up prices so high that I’ll have to rewrite my whole communications plan to incorporate Marine VHF W-T radios. What a bummer! That’s a lot of money that I don’t have now.
I’m a “running dog, American, capitalist, pig” (excuse bad attempt at humor, please) like many in the US. I totally understand that RS may have concerns about Investor Dividends, Market Shares and Profits. I suggest pursuing lucrative “sole supplier” contracts with government homeland security departments and non-government, non-profit, disaster relief/response organizations.
“Climate change” seems to be increasing the intensity and frequency of natural disasters, and terrorist groups or renegade nations are drawing the world ever closer to cataclysmic human caused disasters. Electronic devices and communication systems are likely to be in high demand in the future. As Sentari said to Alex (The Last Starfighter), “…its for the greater good that I brought you back! Of course, it never hurts to be rich.” I think RS could make a lot of people rich (especially me after acquiring RS stocks), snag huge market shares and increase revenues/profits if the company can improve product quality, customer services, and technical support. Will you please keep the company viable so I can get rich too? Publishers Clearing House sure ain’t doing me no good!

I bought a fitbit charge hr black-large from a store in Malaysia located at Sunway Pyramid on 25th June 2015. As it was not performing as per specifications my husband went over to the store to exchange for another product today 5th July 2015. The sales person there behaved like a gangster and looked like he wanted to hit with my husband. This is totally uncalled for. The store manager was never around during the three trips we made to the shop. The people manning the shop do not have product knowledge at all. They do not speak english and have no knowledge of the return policy. I am totally disappointed with the service and will never and dare not visit Radioshack anymore and will discourage friends and family from buying from Radioshack sunway pyramid malaysia as its dangerous as a few of their staff are unprofessional and dangerous to customers. We will also lodge with the local authorities in malaysia

Never ever ever shop at Radio shack again. I know I wont ever again. I went into Radio shack at Vinnen square in Swampscott, MA to return an item under protection plan. First, my son and I looked around to buy him new head phones to replace the broken ones. We didn’t find anything we liked, so I asked the sales person to give me a radio shack gift card of the amount so that we can come back another day. The sales person told me that Radio Shack doesn’t give gift cards anymore ?!?!?!. He said that the amount will remain in the system for the next 6 month, so that I can use it anytime. Does this make any sense? you want me to leave the store and assume the $100 will remain in the system without any proof??? He called the store manager (Roman), but he wasn’t much help either. I asked for the district manager’s number, instead I was given the number for Radio Shack credit card services. How stupid can these people be??? Finally, I gave my phone number to the sales person and asked him to have the district manage call me. This will escalate to court if I have to. Its a matter of principle.

Today me and my husband went to the Moreno Valley California location on Sunnymead Blvd and there was no sales representative the store was left unattended only the sprint rep was there and said he was unable to help. We were there for about an hour with other customers one man threw $5on the counter and walked out with items that cost more and the only thing the sprint rep said she was supposed to be back from break and she did not return to an hour later, the girl then turned her badge around and when other customers asked her why she was gone so long she said I’m not super woman they need to hire more people then she was rude and did not even offer discounts I called the store when I left pretending to ask a question and got her name it was Leah. She needs to be fired and you need to check the video footage to see how many people waited and how many people walked out with items and not pay.

THIS SEEMED STRANGE TO ME AND i TOLD THE GUY AT THE COUNTER (ARE YOU SERIOUS? AND HIS RESPONSE WAS YUP! I THEN LEFT THE ITEMS ON THE COUNTER AND WALKED OUT. i WENT BACK IN TO ASK THE CLERK FOR THERE CORPORATE STORE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD TO GET OUT OF THE STORE. I TOLD THE CLERK THAT THIS IS WHY RADIO SHACK IS LOSING BUSINESS AND IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS . THE 3 CLERKS IN THAT STORE ON CHURCH ST IN LOWELL ARE A DISGRACE AND NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING OR NEED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A JOB. THE LATTER WOULD BE MORE A BENEFIT TO THAT COMPANY.

We go all the way back and the dude said I am not giving you your money back it isn’t defective.and I said it doesn’t work he has had one day. And I looked at the other guy and said he is the one who sold it to me. And then he says it worked when you left. I said how do you know? He says because you made me plug it in. I said now you are just lying that never happened, then he proceeded to call me an idiot!!!! Radio Shack of course doesn’t have any numbers with actual people right now but tomorrow I will be blowing up some numbers!!!!

why you are in business is beyond my understanding!
I have tried all numbers provided to me and they all lead to more numbers and more options?
but I will try to recoup my money or product before I sue, for the record that I have tried all I can.
There was a radio shack store in Taos New Mexico where I bought a digital voice telephone recorder, I opened the hard plastic to find out there were parts missing? NOt to mention the plugs on back of recorder are not compatiable to regular phone line? Since I have called so many numbers and finally spoke to an Oscar from FortWorth tx that stated someone would call back. No one has called back. The service is so unacceptable and yet has not been resolved.
The part number on item is 43-127. Oscar stated he was from the corporate office in Fort Worth TX?
You Radio shack have arranged your phone numbers so that people / customers will give up and yes your always to busy and for us to call back?
I want my money back or a digital voice phone recorder that is complete or a product that does the same, record calls like the ones I have called and gotten the run around.
My next move is to contact or state authorities to get involved in this matter, and I will make it my mission to recoup what wrong radio shack has done to me.
And yes I have contacted other stores with the same results; bad and incompetent service.
Know I know why your loosing your stores. Your reputation will get to you and you will lose all your stores for doing what your doing. Ron
I am so upset with the service from radio shack
and I can see why you have had to go bankrupt! you deserve to lose your jobs for treating customers as you do.
HOW SAD I SEE YOU GAVE YOURSELFS A RAISE? HOW PETHETIC .

I have written letter to attention to CEO, CFO, COO and also want to share with readers of comments to them and RadioShack…week of March 02, 2015, in Porter, Texas – I left my Chase credit card on the counter. Since it was my husbands business card – I only use when purchasing things for his office – since I do not use it often would not have remembered where I had left it. Management of the store went out of her way, and took my credit card to Chase Bank – they were able to trace me down to let me know of the situation. Such “Honesty” is rare nowdays. My appreciation to her for oustanding “Honesty” and her work “Ethic” too. She was very knowledgeable when I shopped there in her store. Thank you for your Honesty!!!!

They could all set up a network known as the new , Shack Attack Team. Any other ideas are welcome. Just hoping to see that Radio Shack comes back to life .

I would like to make a suggestion. As a retired electronics engineer, I’ve long had a sort of casual relationship with Radio Shack, but, in recent years, I’ve offered my help, gratis, to shoppers at the Radio Shack store nearest my home. If someone needs truly expert aid with some project, where the employees of the store cannot solve the problem, I offer my help. This keeps me in a way in touch with my former profession.
Still, I do keep in touch in another way, in that I visit electronics conventions and exhibits, such as the upcoming Electronics West in Anaheim in February. I’d like to suggest that you send a representative to this and other industry shows in order to network with others, like me, who are retired, but not entirely absent from their electronics technical careers and who would be willing to volunteer expertise for your customers. This could really put meaning into your slogan, “We have answers.”
I’d hate to lose the presence of Radio Shack in my neighborhood, and your company needs something unique to draw in customers.

Well I tried to email this comment to Radio Shack and they can’t even get their email to work no wonder they are filing for Bankruptcy.
Dear customer service please pass my comment up the chain to the CEO of Radio Shack Mr. Joseph C. Magnacca.
I just read that Radio is going to file bankruptcy what a shame. I suggest that you get back to what Radio Shack was all about which was CB and Ham radios, radio kits and supply’s like antennas, coax, ladder line, connectors, electronic parts such as diodes, Caps, Resisters, Chokes, wire, ETC and do away with the BS crap like overpriced cheap ass toys, cell phones and the like. If I want a cell phone I will go to my local service provider to buy a phone and a plan. If I want cheap crap toys I will go to Walmart. When I want radios or radio parts or supply’s or electronics parts I would go to Radio shack until they stop carrying such items.
It sucks to have to order such things from RF parts, Digi Key or Mouser because the Shack no longer carry’s these type of products or if it does the selection is so limited you can’t find what you want or need. One other thing that will help your store is to hire people who actually know something about the products sold in the store like in the old days.
Go back to being a store for nerds and other people who are into building electronic devices talking on Ham radios and the like.
Sincerely,
Joseph

I had purchased a new BCD396xt scanner from your store in Pekin Il. I was misinformed several times by the employees and manager there several times on it’s programming and use and couldn’t load a manual making it all but impossible to use. They had me on a wild goose chase for 2 days even returning to the store when they said to come back for help to be told they had no clue of how to do it. After getting the run around I finally called the Radio Shack in Bloomington Il. and spoke with an employee named Verl. You should do whatever you can to keep this man as an employee because he was very helpful and took care of the problem quickly and with professionalism. Verl loaded mu scanner and did it in a short time.
Very good work ethic and good employee

Everyone who complains about the lack of knowledge or quality employment of many RadioShack locations needs to understand that RadioShack pays minimum wage to its sales staff. Managers new to the stores make less 30k annually. When will that ever attract quality staff. Many retailers offer lower expectations with hirer pay. How are you supposed to train and retain the best and brightest to deliver on customer expectations?

Hi I would like to make sure everyone is aware of this. That’s why companies like radio shack are not successful at busyness. That hire the wrong managers and supervisors. Most of the time their regular employees know more than the supervisors and managers. I had an experience went to a radio shack to make a phone pymnt that an employee had advice me that I could make there well the manager took my credit card and instead of preceding the pymnt for me at the store. She called sprint with out my authorization and make the pymnt at the sprint company with my credit card acting to be me. She did it at the store with my card and with the store phone. This was at the Perris Ca location next to food for less. I forgot her name but she is pregnant. I was trying to give them busyness but I guess radio don’t need business.

So while I was at work, I ran out of one’s. Oooo quickly went next door to Radioshack asked if they could sell me twenty $s in one’s. If looks could kill I would have fallen flat dead right there, the gentleman said with such rudeness No. I stated back you guys can’t help “(my store)out, you guys are bunk” aka whack, lame, etc. As I exited the store I hear the same rude devilish guy say XXXXX YOU!!!! I didn’t care too much until now, whereas my job at my store is being threatened. Yes, I might lose my job because of this. First of all, how is it ever ok for a associate to have such terrible cust servicex bad looks, and be sitting down while all his other coworkers were busy at work.
I came in there seeking a little favor from store neighbors because my place of employment doesnt knowb how torun their business and I needed change. And what I got was much more than a slap in my face!!! I am such a hard worker, and dedicate myself to any job I take inn and now because this guy, whom ahould be terminated because he certainly has no Place working a customer service position based on his attitude. Not even a friendly Welcome to Radioshack when I entered the store. But I sure did get a XXXXX you leaving. Unbelievable. I cant believe people like him exist. I do not deserve the evaluation I am now under because this ignorant guy is having a bad day. Not cool. I need this job more than I need air. My husband went into a Radio Shack store in Ashland, OH to buy a 12V5ah battery. The sales associate helped him and picked one up off the shelf, carried it to the cash register and rang him up ($29.99 plus tax). We live in Columbus, OH but were in Ashland visiting family. When we got back to Columbus to install the battery we opened up the box that was supposed to have the brand new battery in it and there was some old used 12V5ah battery in the box with a neon orange sticker on top of it that stated “installed May 2008”. It wasn’t even the brand that the box said. I tried to exchange the battery with my receipt for what was suppose to be the correct battery in the box at the Columbus Great Southern store and the manager there said he couldn’t exchange it because they didn’t even carry the name brand of the old used battery that was in the store’s battery box. I asked for his district manager’s name and was given only the DMs first name and the 1-800 number to “the shack”. I had to ask the store manager what his DMs last name was. I decided to call the Ashland store where we purchased the fraudulent battery. The store manager there stated that he would need to call his District Manager to see how to handle the situation and if he did that it would start a “fraudulent return” case for me as a customer. At this point I just wanted to get what I paid for instead of an old used battery in a Radio Shack box. I didn’t care if it started a “fraudulent return” case for me. I will NEVER purchase anything form Radio Shack ever again. The Ashland store manager said he would call me back in 10-15 minutes. Two hours later he had not called me back yet so I called him. He stated that his DM directed me to the 1-800-the shack phone number and corporate would need to handle it. He also told me he didn’t know how the wrong battery could get into one of their current battery boxes in stock on the sales floor as all the boxes were factory sealed with tape on them. That was a big fat lie because I made another trip to Ashland the day after conversing with him on the phone and visited him to show him exactly what he had sold me and NONE of the battery boxes like the one he sold me were factory sealed with tape. When I called him out on that he said, “interesting…..”. Obviously the Ashland Radio Shack store does not watch the thieves that walk into that store because someone switched out a new battery for their old one and never got caught. Now I am stuck with that thieve’s old battery and Radio Shack will not help me in any way, shape or form. I was left to contact corporate but the 1-800-the shack phone number is a joke. I am filing a report with the Attorney General on this one.

Imagine working there. By far the most shady company I worked for. I got let go because I got an ok from the DM who I believed had my back and when she made mistakes she blamed it all on me. They had me working as a manager for 3 months on minimum salary. I was promised back pay and it never happened. I followed up with her multiple times and she kept saying it was on its way. On top of that I won manager of the month twice and never received my gift cards I supposedly won. I went on vacation let my DM know months before put in the request. She denied it last minute and said I input it wrong but that she would correct it. She didnt. I brought it up when I came back and she said again she would take care of it. Then she gets me let go and then after the fact they tell me they can’t correct it after the fact because I never followed up and the DM claims she never knew I was ever going on vacation. I recorded our conversation! Multiple conversations. On top of that no one submitted and changed my final weeks pay so i didnt get paid for that either. This company owes me over 3k in backpay. It’s no wonder they are predicted to last no longer than a year. It’s so illegal and I cannot wait to see them in court. Pathetic excuse for an employer. Slave work for little pay and the company wonders why employees don’t give a Damn about the customers. Horrible company and a pathetic excuse for a DM.

RadioShack made an error in judgement when it decided to sponsor the new Adult Swim program, “Black Jesus”. It is insulting to both Blacks and Christians, and relies on offensive stereotyping. I will not do any business with RadioShack until they pull their sponsorship of this low-life program. I urge others to do the same…that is, unless you are an ignorant bigot, in which case, there’s nothing anyone can do to keep you from rolling around in your favorite pig slop. How disgusting.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I am not afraid to stand up for values and I will let everyone know that RadioShack is a sponsor to this disgusting show mocking my Savior. Please pull your sponsorship from this filth.

What happened to the quality of staff and products at Radio Shack???!!!! It used to be one of my favorite stores but sadly I will never shop there again. I purchased a wireless head phone with the Radi Shack brand and had to return it because it did not work properly. So I bought a non Radio Shack one that works just fine and yes it cost more but at least it wasn’t cheap crap from China. Then I bought a VTech phone at Radio Shack. Within a short time, the battery started to malfunction. I had to push the manager Dan at the Monona, Wisconsin store to give me another battery. Now, two months later, THAT battery is malfunctioning. I call Dan and because I can’t find my receipt even though he remembers me coming in and getting the second battery, he won’t take the phone back! So I went to Best Buy and that is where I will go from now on or ANY other store but cheap and unprofessional dishonest Radio Shack!!!

What a consistently delightful place to shop. I’ve been a customer for years, and greatly appreciate the knowledge and courtesy of the employees.

I bought a security camera from Radio Shack that was supposed to bea Swann camera, but when I opened the box it was a used camera and had the wires cut off about three inches from the camera and it wasn’t a Swann camera. I don’t even know what kind it is. I was so insulted by what I seen when I opened the box.Because I’m disabled I have to wait for someone to hook it up. The person came over took one look at it and said take it back of course they would not do it for the reason they don’t sell that product. So I went and bought a Swann box that is totally useless. Someone put a different camera in a Swann box and I’m stuck with crap. Store number 018940 Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Will you make good for the wrong that happened to me? This just isn’t right for the amount of times I used the store. The people have to run through the store putting the parts back in the boxes so you may or may not have everything that is to be in there.

I think your company does very bad business. I purchased a cell phone for $369.99 and a protection plan for $64.99. The protection plan is not being honored even though it doesn’t expire until 11/23/14 because it’s not the new “it happens” protection plan. I was told by the store (#019700) I could send my phone in and have the charging port either repaired or I would be given a credit, then I call 1-800-433-5502 and they tell me no I don’t have accidental damage. I ask for corporate’s # and she gives me 305-259-8668 which is a # for a FL store, which I did not know that until the employee tells me I could go to their store and they would send it off, I’m in Louisiana! Radio Shack has lost another customer.

i dont mean to be hostile but, what planet are you from? I ask bcuz it has 2do with ur misuse of English and s2upid spelling and, the way you write is an outrage. Surely you learned like the rest of us in grades 1 through 12 how to use correct grammar and punctuation. so what is this and where do you get off as an American submitting an email to a major corporation and thinking that you will be taken seriously and have credibility with 2do and all the rest of your pathetic submission. you should be ashamed for laziness and lack of writing skills. this country is already full of lazy and ignorant people like you. if you could do any good by this and even thought that your example would have influence over the younger generatio about the proper way to compose a letter and use proper writing skills, you have failed. people are laughing at you and RS has to wonder what are you doing submitting a comment at all. everything you wrote must now be dismissed for having no credibility or relevancy. you are a joke!

Hi, I was in your Goodletsville Tn store not so long ago and I was lucky enought 2have one of your associates [Bob] assist me. He was so nice and once I told him what I was looking4 and why, he proceeded 2inform me that what I wanted 2do was a “good idea” it would not work and why. I then purchased a power cord 4my HD tv which he made sure I got the best deal the store had. I told him that I would do the survey when i returned home but I lost my receipt. Then weeks later I decided 2do this. Let me say that on the strenght of that visit whenever I have an electronical need I will head directly 2that store. Thanks 4hiring someone so kind and informative…..Kevin H.

I need to talk to someone in Radio Shack. I went to the store in Kutztown on Saturday May 24, 2014 to buy a phone that I had looked at two or three week ago, the price was $249.00 the told me on Saturday they did not have any in stock, but they could order me one and it would be in about Wed. I said ok. Got my call Wed. To pick up phone so I went to get at 3:41 pm. I took the 1 year Replacement warranty for $ 49.99 but they charged me $299.99. So I went back and told them about it, he told me the price was wrong when I looked at it on Saturday , sorry that’s not my problem I want the difference .

Radio shack has only gotten worse. I live in the worcester,ma area and when I walked in to the Lincoln street store to inquire about a job I was immediately asked whether or not I had a diploma or GED as I explained that I was obtaining my GED I was told it was a requirement to have. As I shopped around the store I overheard as the employees were talking about how an employee of theirs has no GED or diploma but manages to work the most out of all of them! We’ll let me say I am very upset at the fact that it’s a requirement to have a GED or high school diploma yet they made an exception for one person. Why that one person and not anyone else.

Radio Shack at The Great Mall in Milpitas has the worst custumer service ever. I purchased a xmod 4×4 converter thing for one of my cars alos purchased at radio shack but a different location. At the time i purchased i asked the person to include the protection plan. I was under the assumption i had paid for it. Two weeks later the thing broke. I figured since i bought the protection plan no hurrry to take it back. After all i work and i dont always go to Radio Shack. Well let me just say that when i went today the “manager” yes i said “manager” Emily said yeah i remember selling it to you and i know you got a warranty. But then she starts saying ” i cant find it in my computer, u didnt buy it.” They refused to exchange my item even though she had admitted to selling me the warranty, I wish i would have lisened to my wife when she said dont buy anyhting from Radio Shack. Then when i asked for their district manager number they gave me a bogus number. Great job Radio Shack you need new managers.

I bought a gs4 11 months ago. I signed up for the reparation plan paying 10 a month. In long beach new York they said if I pay ten a month that anything wrong with my phone will be fixed or if not will be replaced for free. My son’s gs4 cracked. We went to Hempstead . To see if they do a daily repair. They said they can only send it out. But there was a deductible of 125. They never said anything about a deductible. So I payed 110 for no reason when I could have just took another 15 and repaired it at the mall. Your plan lied. Made me waste my money and time. I was not going to pay 200 dollars in total to repair a phone that was promised to be free of charge

Dear Radio Shack
I would like to speak with someone from management about my visit to your radio shack Monday March 10,2014 at 4937 Grande Shops AVE, Medina Grande Shops, Medina, OH 44256 Which is very uncalled about how my friend and i were treated Which is called Bullying. My friend and i went in to get some information about some of the No contract cell phones and either Your employee/ or manager was very rude, disrepectful, Cussed at me and my friend force us out of the store. Did not answer any of our questions, My friends, and family have been Bullied by your radio Shack in Medina which is uncalled. I am asking that management/corporate HQ launch an investigation and take immediate action.
Is this how you treat your customers?
Is this how you are with everyone that walks into your store?
Do you charge everyone 5.00 the longer they stay to shop and get better info/prices/etc?
Do you allow your employes to cuss at customers?
I would Like answers and why my friend and i as a customer was treated horrible and why the employes would not help us look at options for a No contract phone..
if its going to be a Problem and your company think its ok that they can Bully me and my friends/family then i will stop shopping at Radio Shack for good. This is uncalled for Did you know its against the law and a policy to Bully people even your own customers. i been in contact with Cantrell that he was to forward my info to the District manager for investigation well Turns out the District manager never got back to me so i made the assumption he does not care at all.
i wanna let u know that i don’t tollerate Bullying at all and how my friend and i how was treated at your Medina Radio Shack is uncalled for. I would never expect a manager/employee espically Radio Shack Bullying a customer like me and my friend.
I don’t know if you guys tolerate Bullying in your company but i don’t. I had experience rudness from your staff before and how my friend and i were treated this has gone way to far. That why something should be done and action taken. My friend and i did not do anything wrong its just like i said in the email we walked in and needed information on a No contrack phone. either your manager/employee was to busy with another customer and not willing to help us which to me is poor customer service and good way to loose a business.
It makes me wonder what it says in your Employee handbook about Bullying customers. Your Employee handbook should say if you as an employee Bully any customers your job can be terminated and immediate displenary action would be taken?Refusing to help my friend and i is the worse customer service ever and is never tolerated ever in a Business charging your customer 5.00 is like stealing money and taking advantage of them is called Bullying.
Thanks for your time and i look forward to hearing from someone from management/Corporate HQ about this. This store does not deserve to be open any longer.

I am a recent Radio Shack employee that has been falsely accused of stealing, there was no investigation what so ever and I was fired. Nothing was done by my District Manager and I even emailed the Regional Manager and Called and I never received an answer. When the problem first presented it self i brought it to the attention of the District Manager and The Districts Administrator and nothing was ever done. A month later loss prevention called me and attacked my character as a person and threathned my livelihood. He said that he did a thorough investigation of the situation and I asked him if he came to Baton Rouge to deal with the matter at hand and he told me that he did not feel that it was that important for him to come down to Baton Rouge from Dallas and check in to a hotel to find anything. I was the only one that attempted to do anything about the situation and I am the one being falsely accused. All of the people above me that I have tried contacting about this issue has not even taken the time to respond to me.I was treated unfairly and falsely accused when there was no proof and there was no type of investigation, and I have never felt so demeaned and antagonized by a person in my life. I do plan to take action with this situation because this was wrong there was nothing done to prove my innocence nor amything that gave them grounds to accuse me of anything. This was wrong amd it makes me feel like this company is corrupt. The people higher in ranking only care about themselves and they do not do anything to help the smaller employees!!..I do not recommend anyone to work there and I will never shop there again when I have spent hundreds of dollars there. They do nothing to help you and they work you like a slave and give no gratitude!I would love for someone to contact me. My story will be heard about how wrongly i have been done and how badly I have been treated

I want to file a customer service complaint! Radio Shack in Temple Terrace on 56th Street in Temple Terrace, Fl has the WORST customer service that I have ever encountered! We bought an item that was defective out of the box & when we tried to return it for a refund, we were told by the clerk that she couldn’t issue the refund because she would “get in trouble” & we had to come back when the Manager was there. This was on Saturday, Jan 11, 2014 & the Manager wouldn’t be in until the following week & only in the mornings! We work & this is extremely inconvenient for us! Shame on you for allowing a store to operate under those guidelines & not have a Manager present to handle refunds on weekends!!

I hope this get’s to the CEO of Radio shack, I was in you Jefferson city Radio shack where I most of the time purchase my cell phones every couple of years. I was in their to purchase 2 new cell phone and to up grade. My husband and I walked in and was immediately welcomed. One of your salesmen( Traron Shivers) came up to us and was awesome, he was able to answer all of our question was very professional. We told him that we were shopping around and we were going to a competitor..Well we went and came back due to the service we received when we first arrived. Traron spent a great deal of time with us and we were very happy when leaving the store. Please continue with the great service Traron..we will be back.Thank you.

I would like to share a bad experience I had at the Warwick, NY store. I went into the Radio Shack store on Christmas Eve to purchase a wireless speaker for my fiancée. I was excited to find just the product I knew he wanted. I purchased the item and headed for home.
Imagine my horror later that evening when my fiancée opened his gift to find an empty box! I was so upset!
My fiancée and I returned to the store on December 26th to speak to the manager. The manager was not there, as well as the person next in line. Therefore I had to deal with the young, black gentleman who sold me the speaker. He started by wondering how that happened. He put the speaker in the box and I had to stand there for several minutes waiting for an apology, until I had to ask for it. He gave me the apology in a very “don’t bother me” voice. How rude and insensitive he was!!
Needless to say, I will not be shopping in any Radio Shack in the future.

I’ve read a lot of the comments here and too many have to do with items missing from the packaging or customers finding different and used items when they open their packaging. I would highly recommend everyone who has experienced this to come together and find an attorney who could represent all of you. I would recommend insisting on an investigation into this situation. There is obviously something shady going on if customers thru out the United States are purchasing items only to find the items missing from it’s packaging. Also I’ve read that the numbers provided to customers to contact Radio Shacks Corporate office is actually no help at all, and the customers get redirected all over the place. Another shady practice. This company needs to be shut down . They should not be allowed to be in business. Also just a side note.. even though a company pays only minimum wage it doesn’t give their employees the right to treat customers badly. You knew the wages you would receive when you accepted the job. If you feel the need to treat someone badly because you feel under paid do it to your employer, the customers didn’t force you to work there.

I am a Physician’s Extender at a hospital in Indianapolis Indiana. I live in Sheridan Indiana. I wnet to the Radioshack # 01-6953 Nov 19, 2013 to look at phones. I met Josh your manager. I told him of my bad experience at the Sprint store down the street where the employees were rude to me.
Josh talked to me like I were part of his family not just another customer. He appoligized for the rude behavior of the Sprint employee. I did not expect that. He showed me the phones gave me a run down on the different models. I made my choice and told him what I wanted. Josh is an outstanding employee and person. I was so impressed with his salesmanship and personality. While he was programing my phone he was telling me what he was doing. Josh was helping the other employees and greeting every customer that can into the store. He kept refering back to me, while taking care of others needs in the store. He was very patient and caring with everyone. He deserves a promotion. He should be training all your sales people because he cares and takes pride in representing Radio Shack. I had not been in a Radio Shack in years. I will return for Christmas items and other needs. If there were more people like this young man we would all have beter experiences and days. You need to keep “people” like Josh they make a company grown. Thank You for your time Virginia Moore
