This company operating as American Disposal Services is the worse and should have their license to operate in Fairfax County revoked. They have missed debris pick-up for the past 3 wks. I keep on calling all I get are empty promises to pcik-up on a different day. If you live in FFX County please take time in your day to report tem to FFX County Trash Enforcement Division and let them know of the incompetence of this company 703-324-5230. Maybe some penalties from the county will get them to response and actually keep their commitment and obligation to FFX consumers

I agree I have recylcing outside for two weeks. They have not picked up and I have called them. I also called the corporate office. They said someone would call me back. Still waiting.

I have read your reviews and agree with all of them. Waste connections has earned their two star rating on a five star scale. The town of Frederick, Colorado has a proprietary agreement with Waste Connections or I would find a new trash hauler. I can however, encourage the town of Frederick to find another trash hauler.

I have been on recycle for 3 month and have yet to be picked up. Your Denver office is a JOKE. They promiss to get me picked up but never do. A six year old could run the local office better than anyone they have there.
Soooo I am going to write to every one in main office from Ronald J Mittelstaedt , Worthington F Jackman and Darrell W Chambliss The Big Three at corporate office.
I do not expect anything to be done but it will help make me feel better.

Have had this company for 15 + years and within the last six months if it rains they will not pick up our trash. Said the driver was scared he would get stuck. I live in the country but every where the driver has to go is rock and has been for 35 years. When I called the office and complained I was told they could not credit my account cause I was paying for the container to sit on my property. Really? Just another way for the big corporations to screw us over. Send a rep out and look for yourselves. Get some drivers that aren’t scared to do their jobs. I drove a concrete truck for years and I wasn’t scared. I’ll drive the truck for him if he would like.

I was called on 9/2 and told my road was dangerous and they would no longer pick up, so i cancelled. Waste Connections told me they would prorate the bill ($40) and pick up the garbage and the can. They never came. My new garbage pickup is Hill Country Waste Solutions. They sent a site manager to access, determined the road GOOD, dropped off a new can, then proceeded to pick up the garbage that Waste Connections didn’t. Their can still sits on my property, AND i keep getting mail and calls for $122 bill that goes thru October. Something is very wrong here!

Our trash had a late pick up last week in Ithaca, NE. Now this week it is Friday evening and it is still not picked up. What the heck is going on there? This isn’t the first time this has happened either. I pay timely through auto payment, but our trash is not picked up timely! I understood the pick up day here was Thursday. Our former trash service even worked on holidays. His customer service was 10 stars out of 5, and he was always on time. He did a fabulous job! If we are late with our payment to Waste Connections, there is a late fee. There obviously is a huge problem there that needs addressed in your Fremont, Nebraska location.

Waste connections treats their drivers like garbage! The whole reason this company exists and profits is because of the hard work and dedication of the drivers. Waste connection managers and leaders talk down to the employees and seem to always be looking for a way to belittle and humiliate the employees rather than praise and build them up. There is no reward for dedication and hard work, no incentive to be the best you can be. It’s a rotten company and they smell worse than the trash they haul. I hope they get voted out by the city of Vancouver when it is time to renew contracts.

Second complaint about trash not being picked up. On the 8th of June 2018 I mailed check number 6074 in the amount of $62.31 to you to pay for 3 months of trash pickup. My account number is 3220-032040504. You ARE NOT picking up my trash. WHY NOT? Do these complaints even get read at your end? Why don’t you respond to these complaints? If you are not going to pick up my trash then I fully expect you to refund my money.

The recurring problem that I have with WCN is that I pay you to pick up my trash BUT you aren’t picking up my trash. Local office in Heber Springs Arkansas rarely answers the phone and my experience is that when they do answer all you get is lies from the woman in this local office. Do I need to replace you with a more dependable service?

I was formerly a customer of IESI. Waste Connections took over and my dumpster or toter was replaced by a much worn one. There was nothing wrong with the first one. I pay my bills on time and have for over 30 years. I faithfully recycle as much as I can. I have to display it to one side of my house and it’s an eyesore. I have asked the local company to replace it with a better looking one. My neighbors still have the former green ones. I always took care of mine.
Is this the way you treat loyal customers? Where is the one I had? I don’t like the attitude of your people here working for you. They could care less about how they deal with the public.

Your company bought our local company on July 1st. We paid for trash and recycling pick up with the old copy, a letter from you stated nothing would change and that you would carry on from the old company. There has been 8 opportunities to pickup our recycling and you have only done it ONCE without me calling.
Despite my numerous calls regarding this, you have still not picked up our recycling. I have been promised and promised and promised and promised you will come but everyday we come home and there sits our recycling. We now have a rolling bin full to overflowing and 2 cardboard boxes. We paid for this service and all we get are empty promises. It this your QUALITY service your website and letter talk about?

My 2nd report. First to the Memphis, TN. The last time that my trash was picked-up was
on February 23rd. Today,March 20, 2017 the trash barrel is full with no pick up on March,
02, or on March 09, or on March 16, 2017. The next scheduled pick-up is this Thursday
the twenty-third of March and I am expecting the same silent, no service treatment leaving

The Co preached safety and fairness that we think is great but seem to pick and choose who they hold accountable. We had a landfill manager hit an electrical box on a weekend using Co. equipment knocking all power to his shop he had to call a electric co come out and repair this .This was not reported as an accident by this manager . But was reported to local management and nothing was done. How can they hold drivers responsible when they see things like this going on? Timber RIdge Landfill

Re-cycle Pickup on 12-8-2016
To Whom It May Concern
Our household re-cycle was not picked up and it was referred to as that management called the drivers in due to inclement weather, I concur that the weather was not the best of conditions, it was snowing and the wind was blowing 20 to 30 miles per hour but the road conditions were not unsafe for driving. I know because I was working and had to drive home around 4pm.
I understand that employee safety is a concern for any company and calling the drivers in is up to their discretion but leaving the customers “holding the bag” is not what I call good company policy. Why is it not a company policy that in the case of something like this that they run a day late similar to what they do for Holiday’s instead of expecting the customers to pay you for a service that you did not perform? The Customer Service Rep made a statement that I can take the re-cycle to the Transfer Station for no charge was like an insult to my intelligence. I am paying you to pick up the re-cycle but because you didn’t provide that service this week, I can take my re-cycle to the Transfer Station using my time and gas to drive approximately 9 miles one way and you will not charge me for it, what a deal!
We have one can and it is serviced every two weeks and it is usually full and this time it was and still is completely full, so we have nowhere to store recycle for an extra two weeks till the next pickup. The statement of putting re-cycle in bag and boxes is another ridiculous solution. We live at the east end of the Columbia River Gorge and we get high winds and quite often during this time of year. If you put anything out in boxes or bags it would end up scattered all over the neighborhood. In fact the night before the proposed pick up date we had to turn our cans with the lids closing to the west to keep the wind from blowing them open.

6/23/2016 i mistakenly sent my sewer bill to my garbage bill via bill pay.
I have gotten the RUN AROUND concerning getting my $$$ back. I have been told a refund has been issed in the form of a paper check or, it was returned electronically to my bank.
Mager Chantrelle in Pierce County WA was supposed to confirm corporate to confirm if check was cashed or not July 23rd so a check can be reissed. She has not received a response from coroporate to date.
WHY IS TJAT??? This is a MULTI BILLION DOLLAR company. What is the problem of giving me back my overpayment?
I have paid FAITHFULLY my bill over 22 YEARS and this is the thanks i get???????????????

Beverly, I used to work there and sadly I had to remind them to send me my final check, which took them a month. They have to be reminded to pay their employees the agreed rate increase after 90 days. Poor customer service because of poor management.
I can assure you the customer service reps are doing all they can to assist you. They have an extremely high workload. Turnover if high and poor management is why. I hope you have received your money by now.

This company is a mess. I was hired on 8 days ago, and expected to “know what I’m doing” with no training. The entire staff, including the OM, are new hires with also no training. My new OM had only been in the job 2 week longer thwn me and knows pretty much the same as I do, give or take, yet she told!me shes expected me to just not ask questions and “figure it out”. I had to copy the so called user manual and put together my desk, which appears to be a big problem for her, since she tried to say I was not doing what I was supposed to for training. Huh??!! Then she tells me I’m “too friendly”….good grief! I’ve had to rely on a fellow work mate to show me what to do, and I jumped in and took care of about a month worth of bsck logged work orders and unposted payments that should have been done weeks ago!! On top of that, this OM is sayingv that I’m not focused, and she pretty much accused me if giving a false interview…what???? Today she fired me. The only solid thing she would give me as to why is ” its just not a good fit”…..I am not usually this way, but I told her off in front of her hr lady and let her know that their idea of training sucks, and that there is no way you can even gauge that without at least giving a person a fair shot. You can’t do that without training…..DON’T WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE!!! Also, the vast majority of the calls I took in my time there were complaint calls about poor service.

I have to agree they have very poor management. I used to work there and brought to there attention of the coworker giving family and friend discounts to where they were loosing over 1000 a month and I’m the one that was let go. Noone would return my calls noone would talk to me. Very more company to work for

I have been a loyal customer to a route you now own for 45 years. For the most part, I have paid on time, but as I have been in my seventies I have been late. The days slip away quicker now with less energy to get everything done.
I recently moved to another home in the same city. Mid June, I called the local office and changed my address. I still had two weeks service at my other home. After we moved the truck came weekly, until last Friday. My stinky trash is still curbside. According to the local office, I am being punished for not paying a 25 dollar charge to be reinstated. My bill came in August and I paid it within a few days. I paid 98.38 for three months service with a penalty charge. I did not get a bill nor call earlier nor a re instatement bill. I am not certain, why all this transpired. When I called, the office said sorry no service until Saturday, and they would waive the 25 fee. I emailed back, that I didn’t feel like that was a gift or reward , more of a power and control issue. I also said, I need service today and an apology letter in my mailbox or I will change carriers tomorrow morning. It is nearly 2 pm and 99 degrees. And my trash is warmer and smelly. I don’t think your people here give a damn! Patty Bedard
