My husband suffered a stroke on January 30, 2018 and after being a patient for 2 weeks at an out of state hospital, he was admitted to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan where he stayed for 3 weeks. I will say that for 90% of that stay, he had an excellent experience. The staff took good care of him, except for one major time. He had a feeding tube since he didn’t have the ability to swallow and after a shower, the nurse (Heidi) was removing the bandage over the feeding tube. She cut the tube with the scissors and after a lot of discussion, she was told by the doctor on staff to send him over to the hospital across the street at Piedmont Newnan. I was clearly told by the staff, including Heidi, that all bills would be taken care by HealthSouth and that I would not need to worry. That didn’t happen, and I started getting bills from the hospital as well as the ambulance services. I contacted Tricia Nelson who is in charge of finance at HealthSouth Newnan and she said she’d make sure everything was taken care of. So far, all of my bills are slowly being dealt with with the exception of one from Shumacher Clinical Partners out of Castle Rock, CO. Apparently they handle some of the ambulance services for Coweta Emergency Group. It’s only $12.45, but Ms. Nelson said they could not pay that bill. I don’t understand why not and I would appreciate a quick response since I am now getting final threatening notices. She seemed to think that Shumacher would just write it off. Shumacher told me they would not do that. Can you please help me?

I’m asking you to please take 20 seconds to look at my new walker that allows the user to sit down without having to turn around and fear falling. Click on walkrightin.biz to see the short video, if you don’t think it will help your patients, so be it.
Thank you,

I just started working here for about two weeks now. And there has been nothing but drama here. Since the beginning the new manager there name is Cathy she pull me in the office today to give me SEVEN write ups which they have been made up stuff that the other workers told her which she believes because she’s trying so hard to get them to like her. Everything ..every lie they have told her she believes than she put in her own lies on paper as we’ll and believing in her own lies.. All because she wants to get in the click.. Because she is vulnerable I just started here and she expects me to be a perfect worker. She’s a gossiper to..all these people are 40 and over and very immature. All I’m trying to do is my job and my extern but I have to deal with unhappy people I get in trouble for being happy how crazy isn’t that.I really thought this was a perfect job for me. I came into hell and back

My grandmother has been a patient here at the facility twice. her first stay went fairly well, There she regained her mobile skills. She came in on a stretcher, but when she left she was walking again. I had gotten so familiar with the staff on the second floor. They seemed as though they cared about the well being of the patients. Her stay this time was not at all like the last! When she entered she was once again a patient on the2nd floor. Due to a stay at the hospital after she returned ,she was readmitted to the 3rd floor.I couldn’t sense that pleasantness as I did on the 2nd floor. She came home on 04/21/16 with a hoarseness and a terrible cough! I was very disturbed as to why she was released without even being assessed! After her doctor’s visit on 4/22/16. The doctor stated that she had fluid around her lungs! I was furious!! She gave her a breathing treatment and stated if she gets any worse take her to the Er. How could your staff treat anyone like this?
