So you have a number posted on this website that you call and says no Longer in service and an email that’s states error when I click it! I was ready to make a complaint on your Stockton location, but maybe it starts from the top! On Thursday, July 9th I placed an order online on Macaroni Grills website. I selected Delivery for 6:30pm. Now usually I would pick up, but it was a SURPRISE for my parents 43rd Wedding Anniversary. The Surprise turned into a Nightmare! At 5:51pm I received a text that it would be there at 6:30pm. 6:30pm rolls around still no food. Finally I receive a notification that the Door Dash driver was 6minutes away. At 6:41pm I received a text that said my order was Canceled! I immediately called and some little girl answered and said it’s out of our hands that the door dash person picked it up, but then a second driver showed up for my food. So who took my order! I asked her what’re you gonna do for me. She said nothing, we did what we had to do and they took your food! I called back and spoke to a night Manager named Vince, that manager was absolutely no help at all! Vince told me that he would give me my refund but he didn’t know how long it would take for me to get my food. I explain to him I no longer wanted the meal that they ruined my parents surprise 43rd wedding anniversary dinner and he seem to have no sympathy for a MISTAKE they made! The Stockton location needs 100% training on Customer Service. I loved taking my parents to eat at Macaroni Grill and now just because of the disrespectful Customer Service I will no longer be going there!! Absolutely disgusted with the way you spoke to me on the phone and continued to not do your job and help with the mistake you made!!! Looks like reaching out to Corporate is gonna do absolutely nothing as well with a phone number and email that are no longer in service. Step it up!

good grief…should I even attempt to create this message…it looks like there are problems all over the nation, We went to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and stopped in a Macaroni Grill in Bakersfield CA for dinner. The room was occupied in the middle only; the tables on each end were empty. There were two other parties waiting for tables…we were told that there would be a 10 minute wait. I looked around the half empty room and asked why. The hostess pleasantly exclaimed that there were not enough servers. We were not satisfied and promptly left to eat somewhere else. Me thinks that there is a management problem n Bakersfield and perhaps a corporate problem.

Today is Thanksgiving Day. Romano’s Macaroni Grill advertised a Turkey Thanksgiving meal. My cousin made the order on line and in the remarks wrote a table for six and 4 would be having turkey meals. We had reservations at 7pm. I called a week before today, just to make sure there was no problem with the reservations and also advised the manager that 4 people were having Turkey Dinners. When we arrived, we found out there were no more Turkey Meals (what was the point of asking if we were having Turkey meals, if they were not accounting for customer’s specific request for today’s special Holiday?) When we were told there was no Turkey left, a few of the members of my party were dissapointed. We frequent Macaroni Grill several times a year and can have Italian Food anytime during the year. It was too late for us to go anywhere else so we just decided to stay and have Italian. Our meals we cold or lukewarm, my cousin sent back her steak (the butter would not even melt on the steak). Coffee’s were disgusting. It was basically a horrible Thanksgiving meal. The only thing good was family getting together. We won’t be going back for Thanksgiving, ever again. Frankly, I doubt I’ll be going back to Macaroni Grill anytime soon. Very sad…

I won’t belabor the point that my first, only and last experience at the grill in Annapolis was to put it mildly, very disappointing. While sitting in the restaurant I began reading all the reviews of this location. I agree with all the negative ones. I’d like add one more. Please close this location to assist the company reputation.

I have never experienced such horrible service. It was my husband’s birthday and I wanted him to enjoy himself. We are older couple with grown children. We went to Macaroni Grill In Cerritos, California. We were sitted right away. We sat there for at least 10 minutes watching servers walking by us. Three women were sitted across from us. They were acknowledged right away. I had enough and walked to the hostess stand. While I was approaching there, I watched the gentleman standing next to the hostess staring down at a women’s behind while she walked by. I thought to myself, great this is the manager. I said we have been waiting for 10 minutes and we have not been helped. Back at the table we probably waited another 5 minutes before being helped. The same waiter that waited on three women sitted after us came over and said he did not know this was his table. Finally, we ordered without water or drinks. Our salads were delivered by another server and after taking two bites we all stopped eating realizing there was no dressing on our salads. Flagging down another server we finally got some dressing. I forgot to add prior to salads, I had to flagged down a bus boy for silverware to be able to slice the bread. I ordered a appretizer for a entree and asked for it to be served with everyone’s meal. He served it with the salads so by the time everyone received their food I was almost finished. I wanted to order dessert but finally gave up after reguesting a dessert menu or the dessert tray and not getting either. I could not take it anymore and gave my credit card to my daughter to pay and walked out crying. My husband followed me. My daughter said a women came over after we left the table and stated she was the manager. She apologized to my daughter and son. I can not believe how awful this place was. I purchased gift cards at Costco and did not use all of them. I will be throwing them away or taking them back to Costco to see if they will give me a refund. This is a very low class restaurant and should not be doing business. If someone cares at corporate about changing bad service, mediocre food, waiters and managers customer service skills and their sexist behaviors. We were there on Friday, May 31st, 2019 at 7:30 pm and our waiter was Alex. He was nice but needs extra training.

Wow, what a horrific incident at your Macaroni Grill in Cedar Hill, Texas. I live in town and this has been our fav place and even two of our daughters worked for years while going to high school and college…..well unfortunately, Tonight was the worse. I have never complaint in the past few years, but this is a pathetic event.
My husband and I are older now and we both are disabled. Even with that said, the manager treated us like stupid people and raised her voice and demanded us to pay for our bill, although the food was raw and now I have been staying close to the bathroom cause of diareah…..and stomach cramps.
Cynthia was the hostess and server…the place was empty but they still had no servers.
We were short of time, since it was after 7 and my husband had to go to work.
We ordered a simple Margherita pizza and he also ordered Tomato Soup..very simple….
we began to eat the pizza since we were very hungry….we ate one small slice, since the pizza is very small…and it seemed to taste doughy and very soft…I went ahead and gave it the benefit of the doubt, and my husband was doing the same but I noticed that he stopped eating….we looked at each other and I told him that I thought the pizza was raw, underbaked and he said the same thing and did not want to continue….eating it…I agreed.
We called the waitress, but she was busy with other tables, and when she came over to ask us what was wrong we told her that the pizza was raw and couldnt eat it…she said if she could have it remade…we told her we didn’t want to try and see, but that it would be better to take it off the ticket and we were ready to leave. She said she had no authority to do anything with the ticket…She took the pizza n we thought she took it to the manager, but it seems as if she might have dumped it out and sent the manager to talk to us…………when the manager, Jackie, came she starred at us and didn’t say anything, so I began to explain what the problem was…………she said that she had been told that we ate half of it and she could make it over, we explained to her that we just wanted it off the bill….she said she would see…she came back and gave us a 2.75 cents discount…we were very upset and told her that we didnt want to pay for the pizza at all and he attitude got really ugly and said that she was not going to take it off, and that it was cooked and we ate too many pieces, and I told her it was half, plus we had left the rest of the pices on our plates…she demanded that we pay for the pizza and that she was not going to take it off. She ranted and seemed to be warning us the way she threw her self around, shaking her head and telling us she was the manager/supervisor and she made the decision and that she wasnt going to do anything else for us….my husband was very upset and he left the table…the server, cnythia apologized and she agreed that the supervisor was rude and apologized, but that the pizza was raw and I told her that the supervisor insisted it was cooked and then denied she had said it…Cynthia agreed she had said that it was cooked….Jackie was super unprofessional, threatening and had the worse attitude…..I am so so sick of mgr with no customer service training…and treating us like ignorant people…I want my refund for the whole check of the food items…pizza and the soup….and an apology from this evil person, Jackie.

Re: Store at Winter Garden Village on Danial’s St-Florida
This Monday last- we went to your store at Winter Garden Village and were utterly disappointed.
First, we were duly brought to a table and waited and then waited some more. I finally got up and went to the front and asked if the table had no server please seat us somewhere else.
Enter the manager. Apologized some and revealed that the server was in the “bathroom”. Now, I ask you do I want to know that? This fact has me to wonder if he washed his hands as clearly, he had been in the toilet for some time. Not a pretty picture. Those hands are now going to serve us. Yuck!
He arrives and somewhat contrite but seemingly sincere and proceeds after our rather long wait, to ask us what we want to drink. Peroni is my choice on the menu and Coors and Bud light plus some other lager were simply not satisfactory. “Sorry we’re out of Peroni”. Manager came over again and confirms and maybe mumbles some
apology under her breath.
So, several of us at the table discuss how on earth could you be out of Peroni when the local store (Publix) has it on sale-buy one get one free? Sort of, we all agree, like a priest being out of blessings. Inexcusable!
Life goes on. No beer and time to order. Chicken Marcela is my choice and lucky it was. The sauce is, as ever, the life of the meal. The chicken rather flat and hard. Taste? Nothing I really want to remember but anyway I did eat it all. Remember the sauce. It was the one thing that was good that night.
Now early on we had asked if we could celebrate with some sort of cake for my wife’s birthday was coming up in the next couple days. The manager had apparently already told us something could be arranged. Now at the time of request our server has to go check with her. We wait and wait and are getting ready to leave when it is announced our request had been approved. Sort of a reprieve from a bad sentence. We get a slice of chocolate cake and between the 5 of us it was just fine. In fact, it was delicious.
End of evening and wondering if and why we would return. It being a Monday was slow to begin with and then to have a lousy beginning is unthinkable. Oh, the rest of our meal was fine. The server did what he was supposed to and there were no further issues.
Dare we think about coming back?
Sincerely,
Ingo Dere

I am never going back! This is the 4th time I went to have lunch. The service extremely slow yet there were only 15 in the restaurant! The place was empty. At every visit for the past 4 months I asked for a cappuccino and was informed that the machine was broken. The part that makes the froth “milk”. I was told I could have an espresso. I honestly don’t know why this has happened. The slow service. The food is mediocre and was ready long before it was brought to the table. The Winter Garden Village Location Macaroni Grill Needs to properly train the servers. And 4 months and the coffee machine is still not fixed. How many sales have you lost to date cause you cannot serve cappuccino coffee at 6 bucks a cup? I’m done! Finished. Over it. There is no one there at lunch? Is it because the service is too slow and customers only have an hour for a quick lunch?

I have called every number I can, trying to get a hold of a person.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS at this Restaurant Chain. I have emailed them 6 times asking them to call me.
(my issue is out of 8 gift cards, the first one, and the last one were already used, or so they say. They reissued the first one but not this last one. If I lose the $25 it make me lose any savings I bought on the 25% discount. They have the same deal today, 25% off gift certificates, but I don’t even take a chance buying their stupid gift cards…. this is ridiculous!!!)

We are long-time customers of the Greenville, SC Mac Grill – or were. Our patronage ceased today when we learned that THE best GM we’ve ever encountered in our decades of dining here, in the U.S., and abroad, John Swithenbank, was fired, because he wasn’t performing to your expectations. This is a guy who came in even when he wasn’t scheduled to work, who made every guest welcome, who worked so hard to ensure that every customer was happy with every aspect of his/her experience. If HE can’t meet your expectations, they are unattainable. Period. Maybe it was because John is human and recently experienced two very devastating family issues (one emergency involving one of his children) that required some time away from work. Time that prior to these crises was slavishly given to the restaurant to the exclusion of vacations and any semblance of “normal hours.” I don’t know who the district manager is, but that coward, who not only could so easily and heartlessly kick a man when he’s down but over the PHONE no less, is the one who should be fired. I will be telling EVERYone I know how sXXXXmy you treat your employees and to avoid the Greenville Mac Grill like the plague. Shame on you.

My name or email does not matter. What matters is that I took my family out to dinner to Macaroni Grill on East arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village Colorado. The service was great the food had too much garlic for my liking my family loved it. The problem came when we later found out was the general manager was yelling at the top of his lungs in front of the whole store customers included at his entire staff. This made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. When my family and I was talking about it we could not understand why he was yelling. the executive chef was doing a phenomenal job what seemed like she was doing above and beyond and the GM doing absolutely nothing but yelling and screaming. We observed him sitting a random tables playing on his phone while the rest of his staff working their butts off. Once again the service and the food was great. But to have a GM yelling at employees in front of customers extremely unprofessional and I can honestly say my family and I will not be returning to that store until we know he is no longer there. I have never seen this kind of behavior while dining out in my entire life I feel bad for all the employees at that store. And would be shocked to see the store open for another year because of one person behaviors. My mother-in-law Diane is there quite often and has verbally expressed that this is not uncommon for the store and she in the years have seen a mass turn over in executive chefs service managers and employees round. I recently found out that macaroni Grill with your bankruptcy with new ownership which I get but to have a big turnover and not fix the problems at hand is confusing to me. I was going through all the reviews to see if any of the other customers wrote a complaint about this night and the GM’s unprofessionalism and I was shocked to see that there was not one. So this is the reason for this complaint. Like I have stayed in my name and email address contact info is not important but the most important thing is the rude and selfish unprofessional way at the Jim carries himself through that store. If I was an owner and I knew of this he be fired on the spot. I would really hope that my words don’t go to Unheard ears. My family and I would love to go back to that store on a regular but for the sake of the employees we will not return until that man is no longer there. For the employees that work at that store if you should read this we are truly sorry for the way you were treated and if we had a restaurant we ask all of you to come to our place of business and work is no one deserves to be treated that way. I am sure that the employees have said nothing of this matter for the intimidation and retaliation factor and I do not look to be contacted I am merely a customer that is trying to do the right thing for your employees and if nobody else should say anything then I will be the only want to stand up for what is right. And if nothing should be done about this situation shame on you macaroni Grill.

I had to share the experience I had with your restaurant located in Fort Worth (south University). Last Saturday, October 21st, my kids and I decided to have lunch on your restaurant. First we walked in, a waitress was there and obviously saw us. She didn’t greet us, not even looked at us after she finally told us to follow her in a rude way. The place was not busy at all probably 5 tables, no music was on the atmosphere was cold, we believed to be in a funeral. After a while the same waitress came back and asked us if we wanted some olive oil before to take our drinks order, I thought it was awkward but ok it might be the way. Our food came promptly however nothing was incredible, my son found a hair in his pizza. The manger on duty took care of it. My experience was negative due to a terrible service and atmosphere

My family and I visited Macaroni Grill on October 5th to celebrate a birthday. We have always heard great thing about the food and service. Unfortunately, my family and I had to walk out. Macaroni Grill was not busy that night. There must have been about 6 tables including ours. We waited for someone to stop by and take our drink order but no one showed up. After waiting 35 minutes we decided to leave.
As we were walking out I asked to speak to the manager on duty, Mario Diaz. I let Mr. Diaz know that we were leaving because we had waited 35 minutes and no one had even realized we were there. Mr. Diaz, very cold and uncaring for customers he replied, “I’m sorry you had to wait.” I could not believe the kind of service they are offering.

This is the second time I have ordered ‘Make your own pasta’ and have not gotten real roasted garlic. They are baking it for 10 minutes to get it somewhat ‘soft’ but that is NOT roasted. Roasted has a different flavor and is browned on the outside and very soft and mushy and has a sweeter flavor than garlic and I do not know why I had to explain that to the female manager over a month ago. The situation has not improved because one of the cooks (not chef) thinks he can get away with baking it for 10 minutes or worse than that frying it brown in the pan! Fried garlic is bitter.
This is the Macaroni grille in Fredrick, MD, USA.
I was shocked when the female manger actually argued with me that the garlic I had in front of me was roasted! As I explained to her it wasn’t brown and mushy and it didn’t have the right taste. She would not taste it or say anything to the cook so the situation is perpetuating. SHE doesn’t know what roasted garlic is so she is not correcting the situation by addressing the cooks and letting them know of their mistake. She probably thinks I am a snob or something.
How can your organization have a manager of an Italian restaurant that doesn’t know anything at all about Italian food? They should all be required to take a test and get 95%!
I am very angry about this last time because I got two orders of pasta, one order to go, so I got ripped off twice. I do not want ANY pasta or pizza without REAL roasted garlic on it. I told them that last time but no one pays attention.
Please correct this situation so I can continue to eat your usually wonderful pasta.
They should at least inform the customer that they are out of roasted garlic or at least say that they do not have it so I can get something else. But how can they do that if they don’t even know what it is?

We frequently visit the Macaroni Grill on Rosedale Hwy in Bakersfield, Ca. Our experience is always generally very pleasant. Our comment is about the manager John Hoyt. He is a very present, hands-on manager. He mixes with customer and server, showing that waiting, bussing, opening doors for customers, etc., – these tasks are not below him. He is a humble man and very conscientious in his role as manager.

Today I ate at the Macaroni Grill in Temecula, Ca. From the beginning it was bad. I was given a dirty black napkin(obviously had been used before me) and silverware that had rust on it. I should have walked out at that point. Don’t asked me why I stayed. The food was equally as bad. The only saving grace was the the bread. I don’t know if this location is typical of the chain. If it is, then I assume that bankruptcy is on the horizon. If it isn’t typical, then the management needs to be replaced.
Did I mention, there were about 10 customers in the restaurant. Not surprising

Hello,
I just wanted to commend you on your Macaroni Grill El Paso store. The manager, Lorenzo Mijares and is staff were very nice. Mr. Mijares went out of his way to accommodate our party of approximately 30 people. I wanted the party guests to have a choice of 3 entrees, a salad and dessert. He was right-on in suggesting what we should have. He even gave us a choice of desserts–instead of limiting it to one. He was able to take our orders before we got there, so that it would not be so confusing and XXXXbersome for his staff. He was also able to suggest the wine, and understood exactly what we wanted. His staff was also very nice. We loved it the first time, and so we went ahead and had another party, and again, not disappointed at all. The service and food was excellent! I would definitely recommend any catering or party planning to Mr. Mijares.
Thank you!

They closed the Mandeville, La. store abruptly yesterday. It breaks my heart as I was part of the construction team that built that store for Brinker Corporate. When we proudly opened that location, the food was very very good, excellent staff, and was packed all of the time. I was amazed at the waiting lines that used to be in front of this store. As time progressed, corporate stupidity took over and you could openly see the reduction in workforce, which slowed service, the cut in cooks, the back up of food, all in the name of them squeezing a few more dollars out of the place everyday. The customer base quickly took note, and I witnessed business start to decline. This certainly did not happen overnight. I put this closing squarely on the shoulders of corporate who think they can run stores a thousand miles away, in a food rich area that doesn’t tolerate poor service and poor food, the business is lost.
I feel bad for the few employees that were left. I do miss the original few good years, the last few certainly wont be missed by anyone around here.
The news reports are that they are going to open a Mexican restaurant, just what we need, more Mexican restaurants. I can’t understand why a corporate entity purchases a perfectly healthy food chain, then sets out to destroy it, which in this case, they did.

This past Saturday night I attended a birthday party for one of my best friends who was 74 years old. I asked the waiter if I could get a salad with dinner and the answer was no I could not. However others at the party received salads. I then ordered the eggplant parmagon dinner. There were 21 n the party and I was the last to get served. All others at the party were served and after a a few minutes I was served. It was the worst dinner of that kind. First, they just took two slices of eggplant, put some bread om it with a little sauce. This dinner should be able to be cut with a fork. I had to use my knife to the slices. It was also hard to eat. The breading was very skimpy. The pasta was hard and cold. I should have sent it back, but since I waiting a long time, I was afraid to. This was my first experience at the grill and it was not a good one. I did tell the waiter about it when I left hungry. Someone can call me back at 704456XXXXX Please. I live is charlotte NC.

I was training to become a server at the Macaroni Grill in Snellville, Georgia (in the Shoppes at Webb Gin) and i came to my second day of training ready to work only to see a sign on the door reading, “This store is now closed.” About a week later, the building is empty and the sign is gone. No one bothered to contact me about the fact that the restaurant had closed, and I have yet to be contacted about my training hours that I have not been paid for. Who do I need to call in order to get my paycheck?

I visited the Altamonte Springs, Fl location for the second time because the first experience was not pleasant. A few coworkers and I decided to meet there but just as I was pulling into a parking space I got a call stating that the manager was yelling at the chef in front of everyone. Needless to say I never made it inside and we all decided to eat at Olive Garden. The food that was ordered a week or two ago was excellent and there was only one person cooking, but outside their was people on a cigarette break…….. I was informed by my sister that last week a guy walked in dressed in a suit and tie with no hair net and began cooking with an apron……. She has lived in Altamonte for a couple of years and Macaroni Grill was her favorite location, but due to the new changes, and disrespect the manager has demonstrated on more than one occasion she no longer eat there. You can’t speak to another human being as if you’re above them. This manager should not be in this position because it is obvious that he does not have a clue when it comes to team, empathy, compassion, vision, goal, or strategy. The servers are there to serve and not be talked to as slaves. He is a dictator not a leader. I don’t know who hired him but it must be one of those….. It’s not what you know, but who you know type of hire, perhaps that is why the other guy walked in from off the street with a suit on and began cooking. How unsanitary is that????? They are going to lose some very good employees to their competitors because of disrespect! Change is not always good and in this situation it seems like cutting labor cost is more important than operating with a team. $7 7minutes is absolutely hilarious with one chef and plethora of guests…… Poor management is definitely a reflection on this location. Altamonte Spring, Fl (436).

I visited the Altamonte Springs, Fl location and I must say that it was something to see. There was one chef cooking a million meals. There was no team commitment any where. I found out that the manager’s name is Mike and listening to him talk to his employees demonstrate that he is very arrogant and rude!!!! The black guy who was the chef cooking by himself looked as if he was in a slave camp!! It is obvious that this store location is only interested in cutting labor cost and not working as a team. The manager was walking through the place smiling and not once did he dirty his hands. Can he cook at all?? Why didn’t he help out his team?? Why do he talk to his server’s as if they’re his slave’s?? One person cooking in this place is crazy. If the chef was running this place alone perhaps he should take on the role of management because the manager was only dictating!! Horrible management but excellent food!!

My husband and I ate at the Provo Utah Ramanos on Friday June 24 .It was for a 20th wedding aniversary lunch
The staff was unorganized and yelling at one another. My husbands 7 dollar lunch took 25 minutes to get to our table. The manager said they would remove his meal however it’s still showing up for the full amount in my account
Also heavens forbid you asked for a water or waterrefill.I tipped out of kindness. However I learned my lesson .The location on Winchester is 100 percent better.

Went today with my wife and son for my wife’s birthday lunch. Your 7 minute guarantee is a joke. It took longer just to get our drinks. We ordered 2 lunches on the 7 minute menu and 1 on the special lunch pronzo menu.
Was charged $3.20 for Caesar salad when menu says $3. Was charged $4.20 for 1 with anchovies; didn’t get any anchovies. Pepperoni Calzonetto was not as described by our server. It was a quesadillo with very little cheese and pepperoni. Pasta was nothing like she described. Very little spinich. Caesar salad had dirty and brown lettuce. Major disappointment. Drink refills were very slow. Didn’t get place settings for 3 only 2. Had to beg for 3rd. Waitress said she would be right back with pepper for oil for bread. Came back 15 minutes later. Lunches were brought out after 30 minutes. Was supposed to get chocolate cake for birthday. Ordered it when asked for check. Ended up paying check with credit card. When given credit card slip told waitress to just give it to us to go along with a drink refill. We waited awhile longer and just walked out. She was busy talking to someone at the register/food line. She didn’t even notice we left. We never saw a manager in the place or front person when we left so no one to complain to. Our quick lunch was 75+ minutes. Unacceptable all around.

This visit was horrible, Bread very very hard, was able to find some of the center that we cut out for the girls. Olive oil had a nasty taste this visit. We spent over 90 bucks and the Fettucine with chicken was not any good at all, the chicken was old. Mothers Trio was terrible with hard noodles and old chicken as well. We all left our plates without eating more then one or two bites and everyone at the table started complaining to each oter about how bad it was. Waitress kept offering to go boxes but we didnt want it at all. Out of hard earned money for food that was not any good at all, Franklin Tennessee

My wife and I have been coming to the Macaroni Grill in the Woodlands Texas for almost 15 years because of the good food and great service. We usually sit at the bar for dinner and happy hour. As we were sitting in the bar this evening it was pouring down rain. Figured we would just be there for a while. A few minutes after the rain started water started coming in under the door and leaking ceiling also. It was noted that it flooded the whole restaurant a few weeks ago. The staff tried their best to block the water and squeegee the water from the bar area to the drain behind the bar. Besides this the whole restaurant needs a facelift inside. The only thing that brings us back is a few staff members. It’s a shame that the restaurant has gotten to such disrepair.

Our party of 4 visited the Snellville, GA (1350 Scenic Hwy. Ste. 900) restaurant for brunch at approximately 11:30 on 5/22/2016. Upon entering we were seated in the dining room with no wait as there were very few patrons. Our party requested Brunch menus and after considerable wait because the staff could not find them we were finally given the menus. Our server was Tony who was unenthusiastic to say the least. He was extremely slow, not personable and not attentive at all to our service. Water was never refilled once during our entire meal, we had to ask for bread to be served, etc. He took our orders for brunch and then we waited 45 minutes for the food. Only 3 of our party of 4 received their orders. We were informed that the kitchen forgot to make our 4th order which was the Nutella French Toast as described below from your Brunch menu: Nutella® French Toast
nutella®, brioche french toast, berries, orange whipped mascarpone
When this order finally arrived long after the others had finished eating the presentation was very sadly lacking. “Berries” consisted of 3 blackberries 4 wilted looking raspberries and 3 blueberries. There was no “orange whipped Mascarpone” anywhere on the plate and the ramekin of syrup had just enough syrup in it to coat the bottom of the ramekin. Not an $11 meal to be sure. There were no apologies or offers to make amends. Upon our request to speak to the manager we were told that the manager said he/she would take the cost of the French toast off the bill but that he/she was too busy to come and speak with us. This is unacceptable. We came to your restaurant for this meal to relax from an emotional weekend after dealing with the death of our beloved Mother and this meal was truly a disappointment in every way.

Your menu say gluten free but when I went to order the waitress said it is not gluten free
but gluten friendly. I would not have bothered to come to Marconi Grill if I had known this.
The waitress was very rude. I hope you get your menu corrected and make sure your customers are treated nicer. If they don’t like their job they need to find another one. The manager was too busy defending the waitress to care about the customers.
I have heard Marconi Grill is going to be closing in our area now I understand why.
Two important things customer service and not delivering the product the customer came in to eat.

I had worked at Macroni Grill for over 13 years .
The same one at 6565 N. W. Hwy. Dallas, Tx.
Worked about every position there was, there, I even got them to install a regular bar for us , by playing a bar tender in a dry storage area for many weeks to show Corp. Office that our Quests wanted more than just wine . I went through many of Mangers and General Mangers and Managers In Trainging durning my Employment in my 13 years or so. I also made a lot of personal friends through our Quests by beinging thier personal Server. On any given day my whole section would be filled with regular Quests and more Regulars waiting for my section , the reason that they asked for me was because I was very friendly, very attentive and Always got things for them that THEY WANTED .. To say the least they loved the way I took care of their needs. In May of 2015, I got deathly ill and was rushed to the Hospital , they found that i had several issues that required a hospital stay of about a month time. Durning my stay, I was able to contact my General Manager to let her know i was in the hospital, she wished me well and stated that when i was released and was well enought that my job was waiting for me.
When i finally got released from the Hospital i went to the restaurant to let them know i wanted to get back to work. I was told that it was the General Manager’s last day there and a new General Manager was coming in to full fill the position and had to wait for him to start some paper work on me. After about a week of calling and checking on my coming back the new general manager who i had trained many years before, left me a voice message saying he wanted me to come back, but the other 2 managers didn’t want me coming back and didn’t give me a reason why. and just said he was out voted and he was sorry.
Now.. I have always been told , that if you have a medical leave , you still have your job back . I have called Macaroni Grill’s HR several times and No One has ever returned my calls. I have given Macaroni Grill many years of my service just to be kicked to the curb , I lost my home, everything I owned because of 2 managers who was opposed of hiring me back . So, I am thinking of taking legal action ! What do you all think ? Any great Attorneys want a case ?

01/15/2016. What a disaster. How can this joint be open?
Went to the one on 8700 NW 87 terrace miami , Florida .
THAT WAS THE FILTHIESTBAR IN ALL OF MIAMI. The bar mirrors are full of dust. The stainless cabinet doors have dirty dippy lines on them. We waited about 30 minutes for a table and decided just to eat at the bar. Firstly, we ordered the fries as appetizer and got meatballs . I returned the meatballs. Later, The bar employee said they couldn’t split an entree in two, since we were sharing we would need to eat off the same plate, So I cancelled the entree , then , some sort of manager out of uniform came back with the same entree begging me to keep it , I told her no thanks , since I had canceled it and she stood there and harrased on me to keep the damn plate or take it home or eat it free of charge . This manager did not leave until I finally felt extremely awkward and told her I was feeling harrassed . I do not think I should have to look at filth, unprofessional employees, and most of all harassment from any restaurant I visit , especially on a Friday night. I will never go back to any macaroni grill and honestly, where is the Florida Department of Health when you need them ?????

We wasn’t asked if we wanted something to drink, only got water. We were never asked about dessert, pretty bad when we had to go to Burger King for dessert! We had to ask some waitress we saw for butter & more bread, she did, asked where we were sitting!! I felt rushed there! Never saw a reg menu, assumed which salad dressing, not given a choice! I had to call to him,for a choice of dressing! I wanted to leave after 15 min there!! It was New Year’s Day,too!! I am in a wheelchair & decided to try & leave after,no way,was to steep,I rolled back, customers asked to help me.I waited for my Husband instead. He had to hold the door open with his Butt,to get me outside! Not a good experience, other than good food! Kim~~

To Whom it May Concern :
I will NOT be eating at Maccaroni Grille again ever even though it used to be one of my very favorite restaurants.
I had lunch at the Chicago airport locatiom over a month ago and became violently ill on the plane afterward.
I have tried to talk to the store manager (John Vollo) and also to someone who identified himself as being with the insurance company for the restarant.
Both individuals tried to negate my illness by implying I ate too much and/or got sick because of the plane.
Not that I need to defend myself, but I fly between 2 to 3 times a year and have NEVER been sick like this.
I tried to go to the corporate website to file a formal complaint but that site no longer works! No big surprise there!
So goodbye Macroni Grille! I will never eat there again and will discourage anyone I know from eating there as well!
Sincerely,
Anne L Starnes

So now i have to take legal ACTION against them just to get a check for about 150.00. This company is pathetic….

I received a survey from an organization called Front Range Research, 8700 Grant Street, Thornton, CO. This survey promised a $20 gift certificate from Macaroni Grill if I responded, so of course I did.
The survey had to do with ” house environment systems”, and of course I now realize several weeks later was a scam because I’ve never received what was promised.
Hopefully someone at your management level sees this, and others will not get sucked in like I did.
Thanks.

2nd Update 11/5/2015: Was promised coupons within 7-10 days. Guess What!!! I haven’t received anything, no coupons no nothing they promised. So disappointed.
UPDATE 10/13/2015: Macoroni Grill reached out to me and has since apologized and said that services will be improving. I look forward to a future visit and hope that all issues are resolved. I appreciate the Directors for calling and following up with me within a couple days. They were very concerned and attentive to my feedback and promised they were making changes. I was also promised coupons to return.
10/11/2015 My feedback concerns involve service, food, and beverages. After a long flight and delays, we decided to get some dinner. We have never eaten at Macaroni Grill and decided to try it out. As we were pulling up, I thought they were closed because there were only about 5 cars in parking lot. It was only 4:15pm. When we walked in, the dining room only had guests at 4 tables, all the rest of the tables had dirty plates, glasses and silverware except for about 5. After waiting 10 minutes, the host asked us if we would like to sit at a booth or a table. We chose booth and then she said that it would take about 10 minutes to clean off a table because they were a bit understaffed. We waited patiently, after about 20 minutes we went back up to the hostess and told her to just let us sit at a regular table and noticed no other tables had been cleaned. So she sat us in the back. We were starting to really wonder, what was going on, other guests were just sitting with no food and the hostess and the bartender are running around trying to take orders. Finally after another 15 minutes of waiting, the hostess comes back over to us and tells us to bear with her and that 2 waitstaff had called out and that one waitress was being fired and that she, the hostess, would be our server. Unfortunately for us, the hostess was brand new and did not know what she was doing and she told us that she was just thrown out to the floor to serve customers. We finally begin to give her our order in which we ordered a chicken ceasar salad, flatbread pepperoni calzoni, side salad, and stuffed mushrooms, also a margarita and a bellini. Now since the other “server” aka the bartender was on the floor waiting tables, no one was available to make our drinks at the bar. Our server, the “hostess” had to constantly beg the bartender/host/server, to help her by making drinks when he decided to snap at her. So now we had to wait another 20 minutes for him to decide he was ready to make the drinks. After a total of 30 minutes sitting at a table watching nothing but mayhem and confused customers, we finally get bread and water, still no drinks or our salads or meal. The poor girl helping us is steady coming to our table to tell us sorry and that she is new and that she is trying to get the things we want but no one is cooperating, not even the cooks. Not once did the female manager we heard in the back, talking very loudly, come out to apologize or accommodate. To make a long story short, because there is more much more, we finally received drinks and food after 45 minutes. My pepperoni calzone had no pepperoni, my husband’s chicken ceasar salad had burnt chicken, our Bellini and Martini was completely watered down and tasted very horrible and then to top it off we get a bill costing $54.16 after all this made me sick to my stomach. This location needs help and training. Service, food, and beverages was horrible. Bartenders, Hostess, and whatever else not qualified to even bring water to the table. Oh and I cannot forget the server that was fired right before we came in walking and flaunting herself around the dining room with an undershirt and no bra on like everything is just ok. It was despicable, it was a fiasco. This was our first and last visit to this place We feel completely sorry for the new host to have to be thrown into a pit of doom. WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A FULL REFUND, BUT MANAGER ABANDONED SHIP. I hope to speak with someone from the corporate office but I will be writing a full review on this establishment, no one should have to go through what we went through.

I am a current employee at a local Macaroni Grill. I love the food and love many of the people that I work with, their personalities and their work ethic. I have met many of the managers that have improved my serving skills. Unfortunately, the ones that were good were always transferred to different stores and we would be left with crappy management that plays favorites. An employee has been stealing from a couple of the coworkers and you can still find her hopping around different stations because in the whole year that she has worked there they still have not found one position she is good at, come to find she has been sleeping with half the restaurant including the managers, which she is surprisingly open about. Servers that have worked there for years are transferring, quitting… I am unhappy coming in to work, wondering for stupid drama the management and the ridiculous dumb workers they have hired are going to throw our way that day. I worked at another lower pay serving job for 2 years before this and did not think that Macaroni Grill out of all places would be worse than lower priced, open 24 hours stores such as Steak n Shake. Please do fix your management and employees, before promoting 7$ in 7 minutes, order and pay at the non existing counter somewhere by the bar menu. Thank you.

I went to my local Macaroni Grill lured by the coupon ” Buy one get one Free”. There were 3 of us dinning so I believed if we ordered 4 Parmigiana dinners, with one to go, we would pay for 2. We were then confronted by the most obtuse, ill educated, manager Carrie Bodnovich who attempted to explain to us “her” policy. After 5 minutes of listening to this tiresome person, I was ready to accept any interpretation of the coupon. She said that what the coupon really meant was that only one dinner was free no mater how many dinners were purchased. If that is what the coupon meant, why didn’t it say so?
I will tell you this, I will never return to your restaurant while that women is the manager.
I would have thought your corporation would have higher standards for those you place in management positions.

Last Wednesday June 10, 2015 around 7p.m. I stopped by Macaroni Grill on Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills, MI to pick up 2 bottles of wine reserved for me. I stood at the front of the dining room for 10-15 minutes before I successfully flagged a waiter (black guy) down to help me. I waited another 10 minutes to speak with a manager regarding a donation (wine) that had been promised to the Football Club at Oakland University. The manager (Hispanic) said I needed to bring a letter stating what the donation was for etc. (solicitation letter). No big deal, other than terrible customer service, I thought.
I returned to the restaurant the next day between lunch and dinner-time (only 2 people were eating in the entire dining room and 1 was sitting at the bar) to see the same manager regarding the donation (which had been procured by one of our boosters). Again, it was at least 15 minutes before I was acknowledged and asked to have a seat while the manager checked his email for my solicitation letter.
About 45 minutes or so later, after having repeatedly asked the bartender (white guy) to check on the manager (same Hispanic guy), the manager came out of the back office and wrapped 2 bottles of wine for me. The co-owner (white guy who had been dressed as a chef and standing idly behind the stove and eyeing me the entire time) approached me when he realized I am the president of the Football Club (& a Ph.D. student in Educational Leadership for Higher Education) at Oakland University and we had previously contacted him about receiving the donation. He said, “I didn’t know you guys had a football team”. I thanked him for the donation and left.
When I got to my car, I called the manager and expressed my anger at the horrible service, that I wasn’t offered a drink or explanation about the delayed service. I felt like the bartender, manager, and co-owner discriminated against me because I’m African American. When I explained how I felt, the guy (white) on the line belligerently replied, let me get so-and-so (white guy) for you because his wife is BLACK & by the way, we have a lot of black people working here.
Sir, I don’t care what color your wife is, and how many black folks work at your establishment. The bartender (white guy) is the one who consistently and deliberately ignored me as he was on the floor (doing nothing) and the bottom line is this: horrible service earns you a bad reputation and the sneaky games (racial micro-aggressions) you try to play against black people and other people of color will eventually catch up with you!
I hope you replace your sorry-ass bartender, managers, and co-owner with the African American female twins your other manager (white) was interviewing. The twins were professional, young, friendly, confident, intelligent and poised despite being condescended to and disparaged by the interviewer (white female). They will undoubtedly save your mediocre restaurant from imploding due to incompetent, rude, and chronically bad service. Hopefully, you will learn from the twins what it means to be human and treat people with dignity and respect. Regretfully, I don’t think you can.

Dear Disgusted Customer….you shouldn’t feel that you were treated rudely when you went to the Macaroni Grill because your an African American. Just go on to Trip Advisor and read the reviews of the place. They don’t discriminate certain groups of people. They are rude and obnoxious to everyone…Service is horrible and be glad you just stopped by to pick up the wine because the food is worse then the service. Our waitress was so belligerent to us last week that we actually got up and all four of us walked out and went to Ted’s Montana Grill next door. After she talked to us like we were her parents and had zero respect my husband finally in a very stern voice told her that she better get her act together when she came back, she better bring the right food and come back with a smile….she broke in to tears….So don’t feel bad.

To whom it may concern,
I am a current employee of Romano’s Macaroni Grill and I have been very disappointed in the way management has handled recent events.
Two nights ago I encountered a guest who was dissatisfied with the temperature of the coffee and I immediately went to go make more. I went back to let them know new coffee was brewing and the guest screamed at me and told me that I called him a liar for challenging him on the temperature of the coffee. I informed the guest that I just made some new coffee and it would only be a minute until it was done. The night progressed and guests were dissatisfied with the temperature of their food and also rose their voice to my manager. My following shift I received a write up for not being “efficient” and I was told that if one more thing came up I would be demoted to host or to go. I was shocked. How is it that guests can berate and attack servers and the servers get punished for it?
I understand that an empty table is the most expensive thing in the restaurant, but servers and restaurant staff take a bashing at times from guests. I think a lot of the miscommunication and if there is a time delay in service comes from the fact that at this establishment there are NO sections. Servers rotate and could hav scattered tables throughout the restaurant. The hosts are also uneducated on making guests wait to be seated. Even 5-10 minutes makes a world of difference for the server and the dining experience. I’m sure guests would prefer to wait to be seated than wait to be greeted. It’s all food for thought. I am going to be looking for a new job soon just because I am extremely unsure of what is going to happen at this place.

To Whom It May Concern, My husband and I have been regular guests at Macaroni Grill for many years. The food is consistently good and we always recommend it to all our friends. What has made our experience even better is the courtesy and professionalism of TRACI SPINELLI, general manager of Ramsey NJ location. She goes out of her way to please customers no matter how busy it is. In December, she helped my husband organize a surprise 60th birthday party for me at the restaurant which turned out wonderful. We just wanted the appropriate people to know what a great employee and asset in the company Traci is. We dine out often, but no matter how good the food is, poor service makes a huge difference.

first off I am very frustrated that repeated attempts to use the ‘ compliments’ section @macaronigrill.com kept getting error codes, so I came here as I believe the Manager @ our Tucson Az ( 5100 E Broadway Blvd) location deserves a HUGE acknowledgement on his extreme involvement in every aspect of his restaurant
we are there on 2-7-15 for dinner , it was packed, we gladly waited & I had plenty of time to observe the goings on, also when we were seated I still had a great view of this Manager’s involvement ( his name is Josh).. All the way from front desk sign in, kitchen, bar, seating, computers (wharever it is they do on those), Josh was non stop involved. I truly believe his dedication to this restaurant is front & center what makes it a very enjoyable dining experience. Thank you Josh!

I have a complaint for the Macaroni Grill in Greenville, SC. I had a party of 15, which included 10 adults and 5 kids. I am going to go ahead and say that I understand that a large party is hard. My complaint is that we were there for a total of 2 hours before we received our food. The table beside us was a party of 7 and they were for 1 and half before they got there food. We kept asking our server when were we getting our food due to the kids being hungry and she kept saying there where other orders in front of us. She would never give us a straight answer. I had a 12 month old and order her a kids spaghetti and meat sauce. When our food finally came out, I asked her about my daughter food and she said she didn’t hear me. So I was VERY upset that my daughter got nothing to eat. Not to mention my steak was cold and dry. My husband asked for another beverage and she never brought him one. Our bill total was $74.62 and I do not agree that we ate $74.62 worth of food. I do not ever plan to go back to this restaurant due to the poor customer service and lack of management due to us calling back on Monday to tell them what our complaint was. All they could say was sorry at the time. What I would like is a refund on our total bill. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to write me back or call at 864-200-XXXXX

We live North of Atlanta and, due to the lack of good restaurants in our area (Snellville, Ga.,) were thrilled when Macaroni Grill opened up at The Avenues of Webb Ginn. The food and service were terrific. We recently visited one evening and were terribly disappointed; there appeared to be little if any management, the food was poor and not warm, and the service was fair but the wait for the meal was too long.
