Car manufacturer Audi can trace its roots back to 1910 when August Horch created the August Horch Automobilwerke company. While trying to choose a name for his car, Horch’s son remarked that while the name Horch meant “hear” the word “Audi”, which means to listen, might be a better choice.
While the company went through numerous changes over the years, it was in 1969 that Audi NSU Auto Union was formed. Volkswagen introduced the Audi brand to the USA in 1970 with the Audi 100.
Audi remained a very conservative brand until the mid-1990s when the company decided to compete against the luxury brands of Mercedes Benz and BMW. Audi sales have continued to rise throughout the 2000s, with one of their strongest markets being China, where Audi is the formal car driven by government officials.
Outside of Germany, the company has manufacturing plants located in Mexico, China, India, Hungary, Indonesia, Belgium, Spain, and Slovakia.
Audi remains a division of Volkswagen. The company admits that a minimum of 2.1 million vehicles were involved in the Volkswagen emission software scandal. In May 2019, Audi announced a recall of Q5 SUVs for potential brake failure.
Audi has been involved in LeMans racing for decades but only recently has delved into the Formula One racing program.
The main headquarters for Audi remains in Germany, with the USA headquarters located in Herndon, Virginia.

Mr. Cian O’Brien,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Mohamed ELDessouky, I am writing to bring to your attention my concerns regarding the leasing programs, which have undergone a noticeable and unexpected change shortly after I finalized my lease. It has come to my attention that the current programs are significantly more favorable and competitive than those available when I made my commitment
Date Of Transaction: 12/22/2023
Account Number: 814643XXXX
Vehicle: 2024 Audi Q5 Vin: WA1EAAFY5R2XXXXXX
This event has left us utterly devasted and we found ourselves grappling with a range of emotions. It is challenging to put into words the depth of sadness and frustration that we are experiencing.
As we come to term with the reality of what has happened, we wanted to reach out and share the extent to which this situation has affected us emotionally and mentally.
I kindly request Audi USA to thoroughly review and reevaluate the terms of my current lease agreement in light of the recent changes to the leasing programs. The programs available this month appear to be more favorable, and I believe it is only fair to reconsider my current terms in order to align with the improved conditions.
I understand that circumstances may evolve, and leasing programs may be subject to change. However, I believe that a reassessment of my lease agreement in light of the current condition would be equitable and in the spirit of maintaining a positive customer relationship.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward for a prompt and favored resolution.
Sincerely,

I need a leader from Audi Corporate HQ to contact me regarding the class action suits and the settlements involving my 2011 Audi A4. I didn’t receive the recall from Audi, so was unable to join… Fast forward-the first oil consumption test is set for 4-10-23, $1200 at the Audi dealer, Roger Jobs in Bellingham, WA. After it fails, it’s another $1200 + for second oil consumption test, and another round of tow truck and rental car expense. Then, phase three is the cost of the actual engine repair, and the fact the dealer is backed up. (This does not include the thousands of dollars in recent repairs, tow truck and car rental.) This is my fourth Audi A4, I’ve always been a HUGE fan. I look forward to Audi making this right and settling this immediately.

I am a Audi Advocate and Long Term Customer of Audi. Unfortunately, Audi of Coral Springs Florida USA is ruining the Audi name. Its that simple.
I have a long list of concerns in their service department that I now would ask Audi North America to immediately address.
These issues are violations of several state laws that deal with consumer fraud and violate the Audi expressed written warranty.
I can assure i have all the documentation to confirm my allegations.

Audi, I purchase A3 2006 QUATTRO in 2014 with 108000 miles on it. My Audi now has 155000miles. I’ve put approximately 20,000 dollars in it over the years to restore it. June 2021 my check engine light came it was the air flow sensor. I took my car to Audi Fort Worth they change the air flow sensor. But light was still on they said its a pin hole in the valve cover. So had to pay for the air flow senor and the valve cover. July 25 2021 on way to church the oil light comes on and my car just dies. I have my car to tolled the dealer (Fort Worth). Monday morning Etan calls me an said were 90 percent it the timing chain( $4,600 ) for a diagnostic. If it the timing chain go ahead an fix it. Etan calls back a week later an say the motor is dead it needs to be replaced. The oil pressure was low how could this happen with not having any leaks, we don’t know I was told. But it will be $12,000 to put another motor in your car. So went to look at my car and talk to the manger ( Veronica) my cars engine was all over the place. Veronica tell me the Tech will buy my car for the $5000 you own for the diagnostic. I ask the tech how many Audi’s do you have (4) for other customers. THEY MESSED UP MY CAR TO BUY IT. Sad I love my CAR I in vested to much money in it to let it go for thing.

Paying this much money for a car and the service you get is very very poor I would not recommend no one to get an Audi the best choice is Lexus they give you the best customer service especially in service department. Audi have shown nothing but bad service you will get better service from Honda and Nissan then Audi service department I can’t explain how mad I am at this point

As of today, October 10, 2021, I have still not received the title to my Audi, which was originally leased. My cashier’s check was cashed July 23 and with each contact, Audi staff has confirmed that everything is in order and they are overwhelmed with work but it is in the works. I’ve lost track of the number of times that I’ve spoken with Audi and even returned to the original dealership but with no resolution in sight. Now what? Complaints will be sent to Fairfax County Consumer Protection, Better Business Bureau, a posting on Facebook, a review on Yelp or all of the above. Perhaps, I’ll contact “7 on Your Side” and get this on TV. There is no reason for the delay nor has Audi Staff offered any plausible explanation.

I received a recall letter for lock nuts on my 2021 Q5.
I had the appointment this morning with Mohegan lake Audi NY.
After driving 1 hr I was told we have no parts for you, and somebody will call when the parts are available.
However when I made the appointment I specifically ask do you have the parts, the answer was yes.
Calling Audi Albany where I purchased the car from to make my appointment, I figured i wont get a run a round, not so found out they only get 20 lock nuts per week and i would be the 10 person in the cue I’m shocked that Audi has a Safety recall and cannot supply the lock nuts 4 per vehicle.
I wasted 2 and 1/2 hrs and 90 miles for a mismanaged Recall.
I also have to drive with a potential unsafe vehicle. For at least 3 weeks.

Just purchase a Q5 Quattro Premium. The sales people didn’t have a clue that “Service on Demand” had started the week before I purchased my car! They sat around and drank coffee and hadn’t researched a thing! I had to tell them The price for Service on Demand is horrendous! $869.00 per year for essentially Navigation! Nobody would pay that if they had brain!

The entire lease-end experience with AUDI has been intolerable. It started in February and it is still a nightmare. I have been leasing cars for at least 25 years and I have never had such a bad experience with service. I simply want to turn my car in and no one is assisting me, getting back to me etc. Bad work AUDI! I WILL NOT pay to extend my lease.

Audi USA has a page on their web site describing Audi Exclusive purchase options, including custom color choice for a new vehicle [audiusa.com/technology/design/Audi-exclusive]. Staff at the closest Audi dealer denies they can accommodate me. Which dealers will ensure customer satisfaction on a new purchase by painting an Audi a color that excites us rather than the disappointing Audi production colors year after year? Audi also needs to up its game on electric vehicles. The Rivian R1T is looking mighty good right now with all of the customer options it offers.
JANE MCCLURE says
Dear Sirs,
I am writing today out of sheer frustration. I am a widow of five years. When my husband passed away I bought what I thought would be a good dependable vehicle because he would no longer be around to take care of things. I purchased a 2014 Audi A4, a beautiful, sleek, sporty S-Line. I have had every scheduled maintenance performed at a certified Audi dealership and take very good care of my car. On July 18, 2019 I went to the post office and when I came out my car wouldn’t start. I called my Audi dealership and had my car towed there. I was informed that the high pressure fuel pump failed. Ok, I know these things happen. The plan was to fix the fuel pump, but after replacing it, there was still a problem. Upon further inspection, it wasn’t the fuel pump but the timing mechanism. The old fuel pump was put back on my car and the timing issue fixed $1980.00 later. The mileage on my car at this point was 69980. Approximately one week later on August 08, 2019 my check engine light came on while driving. I drove straight to the dealership two miles away. They scanned the computer and told me now I have a Turbo charger problem and I need to replace my Turbo, another $2804.00. My mileage 70324. They said I wouldn’t have to do it right away. The car is running fine and I could continue to drive it for a while without a problem. They reset the computer, the check engine light went off and I went on my way. This past weekend I went on a little trip to visit my daughter and granddaughter. On the way there the check engine light once again came on. I was very nervous and anxious to continue driving. Quite frankly, I’m angry. What I thought to be a good investment in a dependable vehicle has turned into a money pit. These parts that are malfunctioning should last at least 100K to 150K before having to be replaced. I’m afraid to drive anywhere because I don’t know if I’ll make it back home. This is the total opposite of dependable. I know cars don’t last forever and they do have problems but come on, this is ridiculous. These are major problems. As much as I like my car I will not purchase another Audi nor will I recommend to ANYONE else to do so either. I guess for now I am stuck with paying almost $3000 until the next issue arises or trying to find another vehicle.
Respectfully,
Jane McClure
