Tradesy was founded in 2012 by Tracy DiNunzio. DiNunzio wanted to sell some of her expensive accessories and found that there were very few options to do so. Tradesy is a peer to peer marketplace where sellers offer their pre-owned clothing and accessories.
Since 2009, she had been running Recycled Bride, a peer-to-peer resale marketplace where brides could buy and sell wedding dresses and accessories. She soon expanded her platform to women’s luxury fashion items. In 2019, the company began powering new third-party resale services via Rebag. Rebag introduced CLAIR (“Comprehensive Luxury Appraisal Index for Resale”) which provides sellers an immediate value of their bags.
In late 2019, the company acquired Fitz, an in-home service that helps women organize and make the most of the wardrobe, renaming the company Tradesy Closet Concierge.
Tradesy is the world’s largest peer to peer marketplace, with headquarters located in Santa Monica, California.

Dear Tradesy –
I was excited that I received today, 09/21/22 the Louis Vuitton Musette Salsa with Short Strap Monogram Brown Canvas Shoulder bag Item #: 26656214, which I have purchased. However, I am displeased and disappointed to discover that the back of the strap has many visible stains. The strap stain that was pictured on the item was unnoticeable. So, when I saw that, I said it was acceptable; but in reality, they are visible stains. Why was the item description saying, “This item has “no visible signs of wear”? I have taken pictures of the handbag’s strap.
I have previously purchased several handbags and wallets from Tradesy, but I don’t know why the quality standards of your products are now degrading. Perhaps, your inspection has decreased in process and is no longer strict. Products that do not meet relevant quality standards are less marketable.
I didn’t want to go through the bother of returning this product. I will just get professional help to get the stains removed. However, just saying….your customers will be suspicious of these misinterpretations of your seller’s descriptions and photos, and that Tradesy has doubtful positioning. I feel frustrated now that I think I overpaid for this item. Can you offer or refund me a discount for this item instead? That will be appreciated and I will feel more grateful.
