I bought a Maserati Quattroporte SQ4 from them a few years ago and all went well. I’ve also sold a BMW 750 and a Jaguar XJ to Vroom and no problem.

We selected a car, agreed on a deal (interest rate, payment, etc) and paid the $249 deposit to secure the car. Three weeks later, we haven’t gotten any information on the status of our purchase. After many phone calls and promises to call us back with info, nothing. We spent hours on the phone with them and got nowhere. We were told more than once that they had no idea what the hold up was and they were unable to give us an update. We ended up canceling the deal because Vroom was simply not producing a car and they refused to refund our $249 deposit. We will never do business with this company again.

I purchased my car (2020 Lexus X460) in October, 2021 ( paid full cash). I have STILL to this day (January 21, 2022) NOT received my title or Extended tags that I have called numerous times and have been told the request is in and will be mailed out. My tags expired December 21, 2022! This is my first time purchasing a car – and has been the worst experience ever!!! I have called and have been transfered – waiting just under 2 hours. I have missed 2 days of work and hours trying to resolve this. I emailed Corporate office, filed a suit with Better Business Bureau, I have gone to DMV, called my insurance ( have been paying for the car not even in my name. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this????

I had the same problem, had to renew my temp tags through my state DMV at my expense, by the way, you can only do that once. After they expired and I still did not have my registration and permanent tags (after 4 months), I filed a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I was contacted by a representative of the department of revenue about two weeks later, with his involvement, I received my registration and permanent tags about three weeks after, which was over 5 months after the initial purchase. The bottom line is the BBB complaint process works if you state you want a resolution to the issue.

I am beyond fed up with the service at Vroom. The customer service doesn’t know what they are doing, they are all back and forth about their information! We get an email from Natasha Davidson who is supposed to be an Executive Support Specialist, and we have not heard from her afterwards, it’s been almost a week… we can’t get our vehicle registered, we have had temp plates 3 times… and now they won’t give us temp plates anymore. This is not our fault. My next steps is a lawyer to return our vehicle and get all of our money back because this is ridiculous. My husband and I will make sure to never use Vroom again and we will be spreading the information via social media, friends and family. We will make sure everyone we know knows how Vroom works. It has been the absolute worst experience. I need the CEO or someone from corporate to contact me or I will be getting a lawyer for our next steps.

I bought this vehicle, the 2019 Hyundai Kona, on September 30th.
Now it’s been over 2 months and I still haven’t received my number plate & registration.
And 2nd temporary tag expired on 27th November. Now, this vehicle is on the road without a valid tag, it will be fined or get towed.

Now I am constantly anxious about this matter.

Last week I have spoken with a specialist, Alex ext: 3126, last week and he told me one of the power attorney papers is not signed, which I never received with the contract. And it’s almost a week and nothing came in the mail or not a call from him where I left several voicemails.

On 10th December several customer service representatives hang up on me.

It’s becoming a very stressful situation. Please help with this situation.
Buying a car from VROOM is not something I will recommend to anyone.
    Worst customer service ever.

Do I have to go thru a lawyer to resolve this matter?

Over the years, we have had a chance to buy a lot of different vehicles. I thought I would jump on the #Vroom train this year to buy/trade in a couple of vehicles. It has been the WORST experience. The short version is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH #VROOM. The first vehicle, they delivered without a temp tag and took our trade-in the same day. We had no car to drive for over a week and the only thing they could tell us was that it would be escalated to a person that no one can physically call. The trade in was worth more than the vehicle purchased and they promised us that we would have our check from them within 3 business days. It has now been over 14 days and several promises that it would only be “3 more days” and we still have no resolution. The customer support team at #vroom can do nothing. It must be the worst job on the planet to have no support from your company to help you help the customer. One representative today admitted that someone on their team must have lied to me when they kept me on hold for 45 minutes to call “accounts payable”, because they do not have access to speak with that team. #vroom should be ashamed of themselves for their business practices. They commit that “someone” will reach out to give an update, but that update never comes. Again, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH #vroom.

I have purchased many cars in my lifetime rather for personal or for business. My experience with Vroom has been the absolute worst process that I have ever experienced! The customer service is lacking knowledge and professionalism. I felt as though I was dealing with employees who had no idea what their job entailed. I waited for my contract to be sent for days and it still hasn’t been sent. When I would reach out to the company, I was repeatedly asked the same questions that no longer pertained to my case. I’ve never in my life been so frustrated. Needless to say, after reading reviews, I decided to go with a company that has better customer service and a faster process. My car will be delivered in a few days and Vroom still hasn’t reached out to me to send my contract. Save yourself time, headache and high blood pressure and go with another company.

my car was delivered 1 1/2 weeks ago and the second day I had it the dash warning lights came on and stayed on for 1 about a week. Then It turned off. Then the next day I went to start the car and the battery was almost dead and I had a hard time starting it. Then I got in the car to drive today and the engine light came on and will not go out. I have only driven 855 miles and already have issues with the car. I need to speak with someone immediately in regard to this matter
Ok, ow it has been over 4 days since I sent my last email for help from you. Prior to that I have called several times and no one has gotten back to me.
I got in my car today and it jhad trouble starting and the engine light is still on. I went to a auto parts store and they ran a check on the engine code and the car comes up with 3 different codes all saying that there is a evaporation leak. It also showed that my battery was bad and there was no wiper fluid in it. Since it was raining I had to use the windshield wipers and they were so bad I could barley see out the window. I had to spend over $200.00 to just make the car safe to drive.
So again my car needs repaired and I need to speak with someone to resolve these issues.I am attaching the receipts from today for your review to get reimbursed.

As a customer first time buyer with VROOM, I have to say the delivery and quality of the vehicle purchased is currently a horrible experience. I was so happy to purchase this vehicle to only discover the following issues/concerns that I have experienced while completing the buying/test driving process.

The car was not delivered the way it was advertised on your website, which is delivered to your home hassle free. However, I was contacted by the driver at 12:44pm, that the car would be delivered on July 7th at 4:00pm. I had to text the driver throughout the day due to a language barrier which limited my ability to talk with the driver on the phone. The driver even suggested that we continue to text because her ability to speak English was bad. At 4:08pm, the driver texted, “Ma’am I’m 25 min away but want to be able to get their trailer in my neighborhood because there was no EXITS out of my neighborhood, again there are exits in my neighborhood I get out of them all the time and could I meet at Walmart located on Austein Peay to pick up the vehicle. I explained to the driver I do not have transportation to meet at Walmart and if I’m being charged a $699.00 delivery fee then it should be delivered. The driver drove the Vehicle to my house and I had to drive them back to the Walmart parking lot where I saw the flatbed truck and a Mercedes truck on the flatbed, by looking at the trailer it would have most definitely fit in my neighborhood and streets.

Now that I’m still within my 7 day test drive period, I drove the truck on July 8th to discover there was no gas in the vehicle. The Yellow gas ICON popped on and made a sound so I put gas in the vehicle. As I continued to test drive the vehicle it was discovered while reaching 50 miles per hour to slow down and just slowing down at the red light the steering wheel shakes.

I called Vroom to follow the next steps which was to take the Vehicle to any car shop of my choosing to get a diagnostic done and email the invoice back of what’s causing the truck to shake. I was not able to take it to a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership due to them being 2-3 weeks out behind on cars that needed service. It would take the dealerships a week or 2 before they could get to my car. So I chose Bartlett Center Pep Boys 5975 Bartlett Center Dr, Bartlett TN 38134 to provide the diagnostic results. Pep Boys service manager name is James Simmons (901) 606-5856

I have enclosed an Estimated INVOICE of detailed repairs needed on the Vehicle that I purchased on July 4, 2021.

Im having the same issue !!!! I bought a vehicle from them, got it delivered. There is a 90 day warranty or 6000 miles where 100% of repairs and parts are covered. I took it to the dealership and they found a ton of mechanical issues, sent the quote to Vroom just so they can say “oh yeah the diagnostics is too much” but per the contract they should cover 100% of parts and cost. Luckily I’m within the 7 day return date but their communication is horrible! First time trying an online experience and my LAST

Vehicle was purchased in July, one excuse after another, we have called multiple times daily the last month letting them know we were running out of time.

My story is the same as everyone else’s. We’ve been waiting on tags for 7 months now and they said we’ve maxed out our temp tag limit. They keep talking a “specialist” calling back, but that never happens. And when we call them, we sit in hold forever until somebody comes on the line and just hangs it up. At this point, we’re prepared to seek legal counsel. Oh and I recently found out that they have an F rating with the BBB.

I ordered my vehicle it was supposed to be delivered on August 24 2021, here it is September 20th and still no vehicle I spoke to a representative who then said they would get ahold of the delivery company and they will contact me.
I was pre qualified from my credit union Vroom received the electronic payment, then they sent me the title, and not to the Credit Union!
My Credit Union has the title, I’m getting a payroll deduction for a vehicle I don’t possess.
Perhaps a class action law suit may be needed to get a response from them

I have called and emailed several times and no one is helping me!!! I just received a email from the guy that said he was under the impression that the car had already been picked up!!!! it has not and I have been calling since the day that the car was dropped off trying to swap it for another vehicle!! No one has said a word about me getting another car and my original trade in has been picked up already!!! This means I will be without a car!! I drive far to work and was trying to avoid paying for going over 250 miles and no one has been ay help!!!

This has been the worst car experience EVER!!!!! I will have no car at all!!! No one calls back or returns emails!! The 7 day return process is a bunch of bullsh*t!! Your people that you assigned to come and get the car thought it was picked up already and now they are escalating the situation so the car can be picked up today or tomorrow!!! I tried to choose a different car that does not have a delivery fee so that I can go and pick the car up but no one has even called about the car that I am trying to get!! I will escalate this up as far as I can and tell everyone that I know and on social media to never buy a car from this place!!!

I don’t think that 1300 fee is fair!!! I have paid the 699 already for the delivery and they only told me that I had to pay that 699 and I had 7 days to make my decision! The return process says they will not charge to pick the car up if you don’t like it!!!
I could see if I was not getting another vehicle from you all but I am so why can’t this be worked out so I won’t have all of these extra fees and then your saying I have to wait and be without a car. This is not fair. I have a job and I have to get to work. The specialist needs to explain all of this upfront to customers and not surprise them.
Don’t make it seem like it’s such an easy process and it’s not. That’s not fair. I don’t have money like that, and they have already picked up my trade In so I will be without transportation. I will be telling my friends and family about this experience and I will also send in my review.

    VROOM SALES LEMONS

I have initiated a return of the 2020 BMW 430i Grande Coupe as well as created a case regarding a delivery fee refund.  I was told before my purchase by the sales rep.  Zarinah Muhammad (on a recorded line) that if I return the car for mechanical reason, I would be refunded in full including the delivery fee, and if I return the car strictly because I did not like it, the delivery fee would not be refunded.

I received the car on Friday 5/21 at 2:05pm (original time of delivery was 5/21 mid-morning).  I inspected the car as instructed and did not witness any cosmetic defects ( outside of what Vroom disclosed). Once I started the car and put it in gear to pull into the driveway there was a loud clicking sound when the steering wheel was turned to the far left or the far right.  There were strange noises coming from the right side of the car when accelerating. Once I put the car in reverse there was a loud knocking noise and a hard vibration started.  There is also a knocking sound when the AC is on.  I immediately called the BMW dealer and schedule a post purchase inspection which cost me $375. I dropped the car off to the dealer at 8am Saturday 5/22. I was told that this vehicle has been involved in an accident and there is no way this was not obvious by the seller as soon as the car was put on a lift for a Vroom inspection.
The car has a faulty steering rack, the entire exhaust system is bent from the tail pipe to the engine, the gas tank is compressed from the impact if the accident and much more.

With all the damage to this car there will major repairs in the near future, this is not the purchase for me. I called Vroom on 5/23 and initiated a return. I was given a claim number. I also emailed Vroom and attached the inspection report form the dealer. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL OR EMAIL BACK FROM VROOM.
I call everyday and only get bits and pieces of BS from customer service. Ive leave messages at least 15 times…

In the meantime I am still in the hook for the loan from my bank. It absolutely sad that this company has advertised themself as a honest hassle free company with top notch hand picked vehicles. When in reality this company is just a scam. They pray on innocent customers and try to screw us out of thousands of dollars….

I am going to file a claim with the Attorney General for my State. And unfortunately i am in the process of obtaining a lawyer

    VROOM HAS TO BE STOPPED

DO NOT buy from this company at any cost! I’m in the process of trying to get a rental because they never filed my registration.

I hope they are shut down! Their customer service is the most garbage model I’ve ever witnessed. It was a pain from beginning to end.

DON’T BUY FROM THEM. You will regret it!! I can’t believe the problems I have had with this company. I have been waiting three months for the title. I customer service is the worst. They can’t answer questions, place you on hold, transfer you to nonexistent departments inorder to avoid your questions. The hold music I know by heart now, since I’ve been on hold so much. It’s the same song, over and over. This experience has been the worst car buying experience of my 33 years of buying cars. I wish I’d found this site and reviews before I made my purchase. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a car

I have been dealing with VROOM since the beginning of June and still to this date I have no car.. BUT they have put the loan thru and the bank has paid them and I have a payment coming up but no car. I was also doing a trade and they haven’t paid the loan off yet as well.
I have spoken to what I have been told was a manager, but honestly i have no idea if she was or was not.
I have been advised that the car will be FINALLY delivered on July 18th. but i still haven’t received a verification on that.
Let me, or us, know what happens on your end. I am also looking for a attorney to assist me in this.

I have never dealt with a company that is so unethical! Vroom tried to pick up my trade-in vehicle on several occasions but has yet to deliver the vehicle I purchased. I’ve tried to call their customer support team several times and no one has picked up! I simply want to cancel the contract and get my money back. Why is it so hard? As a military veteran, I will definitely be putting out the word to get VRoom on the list of unethical companies for service members to avoid! I also am reporting Vroom to the BBB. This is downright ridiculous!!

Vroom is not an ethical company. I’m ashamed of you for selling my senior disabled aunt a vehicle that is so unsafe to drive. None of the controls worked on the steering wheel including most importantly the manual transmission functions, horn, and even the air bags. Of course, Vroom took her hard earned money of $29,000 so easily but the Returns Department will not call me after trying to reach them for 4 days. They just put me on hold. The car is still sitting in her drive way and we are waiting for a full refund including the delivery fee we paid. I’m considering contacting my video editor to publish a YouTube video and Facebook video to let others know our Vroom horror story. Also, considering calling my local news to do a consumer segment to warn vulnerable senior citizens. Vroom, I sure hope my aunt gets her refund very soon.

Dont worry everyone. Im currently going through a similar situation but local news media and other social platforms will be doing an investigation onthis business. Its in the works. I am in the military and dont stand for bad business and poor leadership. Paul Hennessey should be ashamed of this and taking hard working peoples money and not training his business properly.

I contacted Vroom 1/30/21 to buy a car. Vroom was very prompt on taking my money but practically stoped all communication once it came to delivery. They told me the car was 6 hours from me in the same state. They wouldn’t let me pick it up. Vroom said it would be delivered on the 15th so I took that day off work. Well on the 15th nothing but crickets. I called Vroom. They said “sorry for the miscommunication, it will be the 17th.” Okay, well what can I do. So I take the 17th off and what do you know the 17th hits and no car, not call, no email saying it’s not coming. I called Vroom and they said “we are so sorry, it looks like it’s the 18th now.” When I asked why they didn’t notify me they couldn’t answer that. Well the 18th is here and still… no car, no call or no email letting me know what’s going on. I call Vroom again. This time they said we have no idea when the car is going to be deliver. The facility the car is as is closed due to weather.” I laughed and said “the car is on the west coast in Las Vegas at least that’s what the ad said and the rep confirmed that when I was doing the paperwork. I’m in Reno, the roads are clear and good in Nevada and California.” She then said “the car was moved and that facility is closed due to weather.” Wait what? Vroom moved the car from Nevada to Texas for inspection and was going to bring it back to Nevada but it got snowed in while in Texas. At least that’s what I’m being told. Vroom now has know idea when the car will be delivered. They can’t even refund my money because conveniently to them the department that handles returns and refunds is closed and they don’t know when it will reopen.

Vroom is very prompt on the paperwork and taking your money with great communication but once they are paid and when it come to delivery nothing but crickets.

I strongly recommend looking at a different dealer. It will be far less frustration, anxiety and stress. Vroom as absolutely no idea what they are doing and they will feed you BS to try and cover their tracks.

It’s now 2/18/21 and at this point I have no ETA on car delivery and they can’t issue refund so I can take my business elsewhere.

Update: 2/22/21 I had to call Vroom today for an update because they won’t call me. Vroom told me they have no idea where my car is and can NOT get ahold of the shipper. It’s been 20+ days since the paperwork was completed and the large down payment was received and verified by Vroom. I have been completely left in the dark by Vroom. They have not yet had a manager contact me.

I traded my 2017 Honda civic in for a 2019 Toyota tocoma I was approved with no money down they finally delivered the truck 2 weeks later to me after numerous call to them they finally picked up my trade. A month goes by and I get an email saying my loan had to be resubmitted and was rejected by the financial institution that I would need to put a down-payment of $9,000,00 plus have a cosigner I tried numerous times to call Pat Atwood and she would answer no return my calls but she would be quick to respond to emails.. I have requested them to bring back my car and get their truck and still have no response from anyone… I talked to a lady in customer service she said she could see what the problem was with ally the finance company that the loan had been submitted for a different amount and she couldn’t fix it she would try but could promise anything.. So my experience and advice to you is to NOT EVEN GIVE THEM THE THOIGHT TO BUY A CAR MUCH LESS A CHANCE TO HELP YOU.. 8/14/2021

Worst experience I have ever had with any business. Stay far, FAR away!!! They picked up my trade-in with no prior notification, just showed up at my house, leaving me no car. Then missed the date/time delivery appointments that they set FIVE times. It’s been four weeks and they have yet to issue a check to pay off my trade-in. I’ve called multiple times and have spent hours upon hours on hold. No one can give an answer and just passes you on. I just spent over 2 hours and 40 minutes on hold, and briefly talked to three separate representatives, who could do nothing but escalate a ticket. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told customer service was going to be closing soon, so I would have to be called back tomorrow. I still have no answers and have made multiple calls over the last 12 days about this exact situation.

NEVER BUY FROM VROOM BUYERS BEWARE
I purchased a 2016 Land Rover from them and received a truck with bald tires NYS stated they would do me a favor and pass me buy would need new tires in about 2 months bad brakes and and rotors scraped two weeks after driving I got 2 lights in dash for brakes being past point of safety. Also in the second week I started to notice every right turn the vehicle would rock and and steering would shake. 1 key sent When I addresses all the issues they told me I could go get it looks T but would cost a $50 deductible mind u it’s been 2 weeks . Was told that the tires only need to legal enough to pass they would not replace them brakes I was told I drove the truck past 7 days so it’s considered wear and tear at this point. READY FOR MORE. I told them I don’t want the vehicle come get it and I was then told they couldn’t because they never registered it I would have to wait for the plates. Few more weeks pass still no plate no reg calling this point daily for answers nobody knows anything managers are always in meetings no one calls you back. Few weeks later truck still sitting I buy a new one from a more reputable place I joe have 2 new trucks. 2 months later Land Rover still sitting in my driveway with paper expired plates still arguing to get this piece of crap picked up looking for lawyer and corporate phone number. Will update soon

I’ve purchased 3 vehicles from there and the first one went smoothly now the last two has been a disaster. I’ve come to realize that nobody knows what they are doing in purchasing and administration. On one vehicle it took them longer then agreed to get the vehicle and upon delivery the car look like it had been in a storm now we are dealing with some more bs on this last purchase and sale. They lost our paper work and had to resubmit it to us to do over again after the vehicle was already sold to use and the vehicle we sold to them hasn’t been paid off and it’s been over thirty days. You will never gets straight answer and nobody ever call back.

The worst ever. My vehicle I just received is not even safe to drive. Won’t pass my state inspection so there’s no way they inspected it. The media is going to be doing a sorry on my vehicle after I contacted them. I have all the proof video everything. I’m returning the vehicle but am out 500 for delivery fee. Better then having a20000 dollar lemon that could hurt me and my family. Just some of the problems, type has small hole, sunroof leaks bad, air bag sensor bad, breaks and pads wore bad, cigarette smell horrible in fabric, window mirror having, air condition goes hot after 5 minutes, leaky out oil from somewhere, type pressure sensor bad and not reading proper. Just a nightmare. I may have lost 500 dollars but at least we’re not stuck with this junk car. Save the time and go to a dealership.

Never order a vehicle from here. They never keep their word. The corporate office will not accept your calls. And it takes at lest a month after you sent them your money to get your vehicle. This was the worst buying experience of my life, hands down.
Never, and I repeat, never buy with these people.
And when you have a bad experience with them, not once will they offer you anything to fix the situation or compensate you for your time and effort.
Never again. Go to a dealership and you’ll drive away the same day with your car.

Received my Honda CR-V December 28, 2018. I was given one key. Around Jan 2 or 3rd I called Vroom and asked for the 2nd key. I was told that was what the owner submitted. I
Then went to Honda Round Rock Texas and paid for a new key of $130.00. A day later I received an email from Sheila Lentini that she was sending me another key. I called Sheila and after a few days was told I could not be reimbursed for the key. I am asking for my money of $130.00 to be reimbursed. This isn’t good customer service practice.
