Warehouse Market was founded by Clint Cox in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1938. The company operates a chain of supermarkets in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma, area, under the name The Colonial Store.
When the company was founded, the Great Depression was still ongoing, but the store did so well that Cox took out a $10,000 loan against his life insurance policy to open a second store, Warehouse Market. Today, the company has 9 locations and is still family owned and operated with Clint V. Cox, Jr., the third generation of Cox’s, working as CEO.
Warehouse Market was forced to close two stores in the early part of 2047, due to fierce competition in the area, according to Cox, Jr. He stated that the company hoped to reopen elsewhere in the state at a later date. Company headquarters remain in Tusa, Oklahoma.

We went to a warehouse market on lewis in Tulsa and the lady tried to double charge us for a 5 gallon jug of water tried to claim that you have to charge $8 for the jug and $8 for the water when we paid $8 the first time and was told if we brought the jug back that it was $4 for a refill well we decided we wanted a Xtra jug so to be easier to switch out by keeping a empty one in the van for nxt time we even showed the lady proof we paid $8 last time and she laughed at us and told us they mischarged us and it’s been this way for yrs I’m 32 and have been going here for yrs!!! ..but when water is .33 a gallon idk how her math is adding up we decided not to buy it from there because of her rudeness
