Wahoo’s Fish Taco was founded in Costa Mesa, California, by brothers, Ed and Mingo Lee, along with Wing Lam. The brothers are a Chinese / Brazilian mix. While on a trip through Mexico, they found that mixing Chinese spices with Mexican style food gave ordinary tacos a completely different twist.
When the first restaurant opened, the three men did all the work; taking an order, running to the kitchen to make it, then delivering it to the table and cleaning up afterwards. Today, Wahoo’s Fish Taco has approximately 64 locations in 7 states and one in Tokyo, Japan. The menu is geared towards healthier eating while still enjoying traditional favorites.
Wahoo’s Fish Taco is also known for their vegetarian and vegan menus, as well as a kid’s menu. Headquarters are located in Santa Ana, California.

After attending a movie at the Newport Beach Film Festival, my husband and I went to the WFT on Placentia- Knowing this was your original location- expected excellent food- HOWEVER- the smell of the restaurant ruined the food and ecperience. FABULOSO- a Mexican brand cleaner was so strong- we had to take our food to go. Unfortunately the packaging and all aspects of the order – also smelled like Fabuloso. My Wahoo fish- was not edible- they must clean the grill with it too! wrong!!! so disappointed. In fact the following morning, at Yoga- at 6:30 – I could still smell it in my hair and on my skin.
We dine at the Bristol location weekly. We have never had this experience before. SOOO DISAPPOINTINT> PLEASE ADDRESS THIS with the Manager. IT is horrible to have food taste like a cleaner.

I hate to write a complaint of Wahoos.
I love eating at Wahoos. Iv eatten at several locations. My favorite is in Fullerton where I live.
BUT each time I come to.
The LongBeach Wahoos

Today. I found the black beans a little to spice.
Usally when I eat at others Wahoos.
I don’t fine the black Beans spice.
That’s is not the Brazilian ways. Spice black beans !!
