I ate for a second time at a Chubbys restaurant here in Colorado off of Federal Blvd. in Westminster, Colorado. I paid 14.50 for a burrito that was absolutely disgusting and low quality ingredients. The first time was the same experience but I thought I’d give it another chance. Is there a way to get my money back? I told the guy about my experience in the restaurant and he definitely agreed that the reviews are always bad. No one even offered to make it better.

Good morning
I wanted to pass along a complaint. l live in Turlock California and often go to Manteca where there is a Chubbies which we have loved to eat for many years. Yesterday my husband and I went there to eat and were really disappointed. First of all when we went in, it was very quiet and not busy at all and yet we stood there for a while without being helped. Finally the server as she passed by taking food to a table tells us “you can just sit there” pointing to a booth. Next and most disturbing is the dirtiness of the floor. In the area of the front door the floor was literally black on the squares that are supposed to be white. As I looked around where we sat it was no better. You could see the streaks which was left by the mop and obviously was just wiping the dirt around. The floor needs to be scrubbed professionally. It was just awful. There was a mop bucket sitting in plain view of our table which was not appetizing at all. While we were eating we began to smell Lysol that someone was using to clean but it really is not a good thing to smell while you are trying to eat a meal.
We are so upset because we just don’t want to return there and there are no other Chubbys that close to us.
I didn’t try to see if there was a manager there because frankly, if they don’ see the problem in the first place, what good would it do to complain to them.
Thank you for your time.

My husband, mother, and I discovered Chubby’s after shopping at Lowe’s a couple of years ago. We are long time Dallas residents–live in the Lakewood area. And, we were very pleasantly surprised by your good food, and your fast and friendly service. With that said, we often take the extra time to drive to Chubby’s. After our unfortunate experience today, however, we will no longer visit your restaurant and we think you should consider what you mean when you refer to it as a family restaurant.
My complaint hinges on the service and food we received today vs. the service some outlaws received. I ordered a BLT with fries-pretty basic and I have had it before–kind of difficult to make a bad BLT. When the food arrived, I noticed the fries looked different. They looked like the kind of fried I cannot stand-the crispy sometimes seasoned fries. So, when I inquired as the waitress was serving me, she corrected me and told me that they were not seasoned fries but instead that this was the batter and that most of the customers liked the new fries. As she was responding, I was making a frown face on purpose so that she could see I was not pleased. Obviously, if I was asking, I was not pleased, but her method was tell me others liked it, assuming that this would convince me? I just kind of shrugged and she went on to wait on others. I did not like the fries at all, so I refrained from eating them. Then, sadly, I bit into an overly toasted, overly crispy BLT-some might call it burned. I was able to eat one half. I then told the waitress that my food was bad and she asked me what was wrong with it. I mentioned the crispy fries and told her that basically everything was crispy and bland. She took it from me and I thought about ordering another meal, but really, I was just over it by that point. She did comp the meal, but she did so with an attitude, no apologies. I have waited tables for years. This is not how you treat customers. Again, Chubby’s is not our neighborhood restaurant. we have gone out of our way to dine at your establishment.
This incident in itself would be no big deal if it weren’t for the huge contrast of how your staff treats the Scorpions biker gang. In a family establishment, women with patches that say, “Club business isn’t XXXX business” are instead treated like royalty, seated in the middle of the establishment, and when their order is ready, SIX waiters bring out their food and tend to them like they are the mafia. And as we are leaving, we pay and my husband says ‘thank you” and the sassy lady behind the counter says nothing. No thank you. You’ve have lost not only our business, but the business of many other Lakewood people with whom we will share our story.
