Brookshire Brothers was founded in 1921 in Lufkin, Texas, by brothers Tom and Aurther Brookshire. The company operates a chain of grocery stores across Texas and Louisiana.
As the company grew, other family members, such as Wood Brookshire, broke away from the family business and started their own. Brookshire Market, in Tyler, Texas, is separate from Brookshire Brothers.
Today, the company has more than 110 locations, which operate under various names such as B&B Foods, Celebrate, and David’s. The company continues to grow, mainly through acquisitions such as David’s Markets in 2014, and new stores that were recently built in Apple Springs, Hamilton, Canyon Lake, and Pilot Point, Texas.

Today I went to my local Brookshire Brothers with the intention of volunteering and carrying out groceries for the elderly folks that shop there.
When I went in told the checker what I wanted to do and she told me I would need to be sure and talk to the manager and let him know.
I set to locate him.
When I found him I told him what is was wanted and he declined me. He told me they had people there to do that. I said to him “I am wanting to do as voluntary, a way to help”. But he still declined me. He was nice and professional.
But I am still wondering when as a people we started telling people no when they want to help and make a difference.
I shop there regularly and I have many times held the door open so elderly do not have such a hard time getting their baskets out, I’ve also put groceries bags into the cars of elderly because nobody did carry the groceries out.
I get the fact it’s probably liability policy to not allow me to help. I mean people have sued because someone made their coffee to hot. But I left ther sad because the blessings I thought I was going to give today was stopped and the blessing it would have been to me to have helped and chatted with the elderly we stopped.
Happy Thanksgiving Brookshire Brothers. What a difference you made today.

Brookshire Bros advertises on their website that employees wear mask and customers must also. Today 90 percent of customers and employes ARE NOT wearing mask. The meat department employee was not even wearing glove. Change your website so we know to shop elsewhere. Shopping at Brookshire Bros IS a SUPER SPREADER event

Why is there no consistency in your purchase requirements some weeks you require a 20.00 dollar purchase to receive the celebrate prices and sometimes not case in point you recently had Wright bacon at a very good price. Many times you have a sale and do not have the sale items on hand. Spoke with an employee and was told they had brought up inconsistencies with corporate and management but was told that is the way it is. I thought B.B. was employee owned? Listen to your owners if so!

Katrina Thompson at ur Wimberly Texas store is a pharmacist. She saved my life. I came in the store and she had just closed for the evening. She came over and asked if I was ok as my breathing was awful. She could hear me. She helped with a couple of over the counter meds and said for me to meet her at 9:30 am it was a Saturday so my Dr. was closed. She got a hold of him and together they got what I need. She was my angel that day. She let me lay down as she made phone calls so she could help me I was in a bad way. She even offered me tea. She is to be commended for going beyond her duty !!! Thank you !!!!!

I’ve been doing business at B&B (Brookshire Brothers) in Brookshire tx since day-1 –
You had a sale on your Hawaiian dinner rolls for .$.99 cents, when I rang out it came up as $3.49, I was told I needed a celebrity card, which I do not have a need for additional stuff to put in my wallet, rather than let me have the dinner rolls at $.99, they removed it from my purchase of $51.12 –
Seems like long term customers who spend about $150+ weekly in your store should get better consideration & the management should have allowed it for $.99, “this is known as customer service”
Respectfully a Disappointed long term customer,
Roy

Subject: produce at Trinity Tx.
Quality of produce has fallen .
Some one is doing poor job of culling
Dept. and rotating while restocking!
I was at this location last Thursday and again today Monday . Both visit were
Disappointing in your produce dept.
Both days there were a variety of products
On display rotten! Apparently the produce
Mgr. doesn’t know to cull the dept. first
In morning and the store mgr. doesn’t
Even know he has a produce department
I hope you can correct this problem. A lot of your customers have to
Drive a little to get to your store and it’s
Very disappointing when the product is
Substandard !

The deli lunch portions and containers are half the size they used to be and the price has increased ? This is at the Many , louisiana store , I hear lots of complaints and I am complaining as well! I like to get my money’s worth but I have noticed they are getting real skimpy , I’m sure it is orders from corporate to downsize for a bigger profit margin??

I would like to know if your buyer has access to Menonita or Chihuahua Cheese. El Mexicano markets it but it is also marketed by several other Mexican Cheese Suppliers.
