Pieology was founded in 2011 in Fullerton, California, only blocks from the CSU Fullerton campus by friends Carl Chang and James Markham. Markham had been involved in the creation of Mod Pizza. The company creates artesian styled pizzas custom made to order.
The pizza chain quickly became popular and by 2015, there were 35 locations. In 2016, the company expanded by opening locations in Hawaii and Guam.
In January 2018, the company went international by opening a location in the Polanco district of Mexico City and stated that later in 2018, they would expand into Spain.
However, in March 2018, the company unexpectedly closed several corporate-owned locations in the San Francisco Bay area and in October 2018, four of the 5 locations in Michigan were suddenly closed.
Pieology currently has 130 locations and has headquarters located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California.
We were in Pieology about two weeks ago my wife walked in and there were at least 30 people inside nobody was social distancing and hardly anybody was wearing a mask I called the manager the manager said she was too busy to control the amount of people and the place and I told her I wouldn’t be back
Hi I ordered ooey gooey cheesy bread and while I was ordering a customer in front of me was putting his hands in the condiments I discreetly let the manager know and she did absolutely nothing me and that patron then began to argue because he got offended when I said something about him putting his fingers across the glass into the condiments the manager then turned around and said she would spit in my pizza and told me to leave the restaurant I said gimme my money back and at that point in time I got irate with them and said call the police I will never spend another dime at pieology ever again you really need to change your staff train your staff especially your managers this is a very bad problem and it should be addressed.
“Receive a free artisan thin pizza For every $25 gift card purchased”. Well I bought 4 gift cards, $25 each Totaling $100 and only received 1 reward for this! I emailed 3 times for this to be fixed and no response! I called the store location in Tualitan, OR and the lady “manager” was rude and not helpful at all!! False advertisement!!
My daughter and myself went to the El Paseo location in Fresno, CA both pizzas ordered were dry and both were burnt one pizza was burnt so bad blacker than my purse. And workers SHOULDN’T look as though they rolled right out of bed and came to work. I would say the whole team needs retraining or be replaced starting with the manager. First impressions mean a LOT especially when handling someone’s food. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE!!!
Hi There. Had $31.65 worth of pizza last night. Went because it was double double points night. Gave cashier my phone with app open to make sure he would scan at the register. Looked like he did but I got no points put on my app. Asked for a receipt and got one without a bar code so I can’t scan it and get my quadrouple points. That is the sole reason I went to your establishment last night. The history in my app. states the last time I got points was on Oct. 20th. Last night was Oct. 24th. Please add 117 points to my account, as that is the proper amount after you quadrouple $29.37. The amount I spent before taxes. I am a once a week customer and would like to coninue to be so. Thank you! Michelle Wandrack
We just ordered two pizzas that were delivered by door dash. The crust on one pizza was so burnt it was disgusting. Why would you send out a burned pizza for delivery. Very disappointing. We threw it away because it made the whole pizza taste burned.
twice I have been to the one in Rancho
Twice I have been to this store band both times the place has had filthy tables not to mention the floor. the last time was yesterday so I pointed it out to the Manager and he said ‘ya we clean them once a day’ in a smart a** kind of way. the place should be shut down for the sloppy and unclean way its run!!!!!
I found out about your cauliflower pizza from my boss. I was so excited to try it. I drove from the Wilshire district to Encino as I got closer, I called to order a pizza. My experience over the phone was horrible. Hoba or Hova had no patients whatsoever, and it was after lunch. I had to stop in the middle of my order and inform her that it was my first time buying form Pieology and to please have a little patient with me. She slowed down but continued to treat me rough and raising her voice at me. It was very hard to swallow. I was afraid to even order the pizza correctly. Upon entering the restaurant, I dealt with a nice young man at the register after I paid, I ask him to please hold my pizza until I came from the restroom. When I returned Hoba was at the register eating a salad and was leaning backwards on the counter. I asked for my pizza and for a cup of water she gave me the cup and as I walked away she shook her head in a side to side motion as to say no. She continued eating her salad. I return to counter after filling my glass with water and asked if there was any package of cheeses, she said yes. I asked her name, and she replied Hoba. Please check on this concern complaint for me, Hoba really needs some more customer service training. She is not a nice person to answer the phone or to be at the register… Bad customer service on my first visit to your restaurant.
Very SAD… The Pizza was DELISH
Hi Just took my 93 year old friend into the Cypress ca. store to show him how to order a pizza.
It’s 65 degrees in that place WHAT THE HELL! I asked an employee what the thermostat is reading. SIXTY FIVE is dam cold. we both were shivering and I have complained once before about this. The employees say its under corporate control. Cool is nice but a blowing 65 is not pleasant the workers are even uncomfortable the Hunting beach store seems to have a normal temp. Please look into this it makes the pizza cold before you can eat it.
