I would agree with the other customer. Beautiful dresses, terrible customer service.

I bought a dress for my daughter to wear in a wedding. The bride wanted all to wear a short dress but there were none in her size. Around 5wks later the short one became available in her size. She quick ordered it. It arrived and we called to enquire how to return the first one. I was told they have no information re first dress. I called again in a few days, getting someone else and was told I couldn’t return the dress because it had gone past the 30 day return point. I explained what had happened and told her we’d already bought the exchange dress. No dice. She said to not return it because it wasn’t returnable. Then my daughter called and spoke to a gentleman that was rather surprised by our story. He suggested we return it and then call again. So my daughter returned it (all of this is in my name because I’m the one w/ the credit card). A week or so goes by and we don’t hear anything so my daughter calls. She’s told they never received a package from us. Of course my daughter had lost the tracking number. We went to PO but it’s really next to impossible to track it. So last week I started calling the corporate office. I’ve made 4 phone calls and talked to 3 people. I was sent to Courtney Reese the 2nd & 3rd time. I left messages. Nobody called me back. Last time (10 min after 3rd time) my call wasn’t answered.
What kind of company is this? I thought it was one of the better shops since the bride got all of the dresses from you—including the wedding dress! Now we’ve paid $600 for one $260 dress and we’re getting blown off. That’s a big chunk of change for us! I am not letting this go. I have tried everything to get my money back on an unworn dress that is in your possession. There are other avenues but certainly didn’t want to go there w/out giving BHLDN a chance to be honest. I guess that isn’t going to happen.

After I sent this email yesterday I gave it one more try. I called customer service. I got a lady that seemed genuinely concerned but then started with the same old rhetoric. “Our return policy is very strict….”. I stopped her. I said, “What nobody seems to get or care about is that we bought the exchange dress from you! That dress was still w/in the 30 days. We ordered it before returning the first one in case it if didn’t fit right we could fall back on the long dress. The wedding was getting too close to mess around much more”! She asked for the order # of first dress. “I don’t have it because it went back w/ the dress–because they weren’t letting us set up a return. See? Don’t you have my ordering history”? She looked me up and came back with the surprising news that the first dress had been refunded on Aug 22. WHAT?? And nobody said a word? They emailed the news but I missed the email! All along I’m being told “no no no” and the dress had been refunded! I consider this to be very nasty. It’s almost as bad as what I’ve been complaining about all this time! Why wouldn’t someone have called? Maybe even apologize for this mess?
Although I’m happy that my daughter gets her money back, my recommendation stands. I feel I feel this company was being dishonest and that “customer service was horrible”. I guess you don’t exactly get a lot of repeat business since your product is mainly for weddings. Maybe that’s why BHLDN didn’t care.
