Capital One Bank uses your TransUnion Vantage 3.0 score to provide its banking clients with its CreditWise score, therefore I wish to bring to your attention the following situation which had a negative impact on my Capital One CreditWise Score, which is the score you provide them.
A quick review of my credit score history will demonstrate that during the period of 1 October 2018 through 11 April 2019 my credit score was 831.
On 8 May 2019 my score was downgraded to 824, a reduction of 7 points. As indicated in my “Credit Wise Alert Message” this reduction of 7 points was due to my account ending in 6231 having a new balance in the amount of $26.08 for statement period Mar. 18, 2019 – Apr. 17, 2019
1. Please note that this charge of $26.08 was posted to my account on April 5, 2019, and as clearly stated on Page 1 of the Statement Mar 18, 2019 – Apr. 17, 2019 it had a Payment due date of May 14, 2019 without incurring in any interest or others penalties.
2. It should also be noted that the Statement Cutoff Date of April 17, 2019 would indicate to anyone that the charge of $26.08 was posted 12 days before the billing cycle end, and as anyone in the banking industry should know this $26.08 New Balance was not an outstanding Payment Due for this Statement period Mar. 18, 2019 – Apr. 17, 2019. Again, “Payment Due Date May 14, 2019”.
3. The charge of $26.08 was paid online and posted to my account on April 22, 2019 as exhibited on page 2 of Account Statement, April 18, 2019 – May 17, 2019, therefore it was paid 23 days before its due date of May 14, 2019.
4. As evident in page 2 of both monthly Statements attached “Interest Charge on Purchase was $0.00”, during both Statement periods. Making very clean that my account was never in rear or default.
Taking into consideration all of the above I come to the conclusion that you were not justified in reducing my credit score 7 points as explained in your Credit Wise Alert Message of May 8, 2019, and request that you immediately make the necessary corrections to my account.
It is also interesting to note that my CreditWise Score for June, July and August 2019 remained at 822 when each Statement cycle had a New Balance of $0.00.
Please review the attached information and any additional data you have available and inform your decision in writing. If you required additional information please do not It hesitated to contact me.
Thank you,

What’s needed is a civil lawsuit to be filed against TransUnion for committing known felonies and damaging individual credit ratings making it impossible for individuals to get loans. TransUnion is being used as a extortion sight trying to force users like myself to pay for things the insurance companies have a responsibility to pay. These are the same insurance companies that are currently being used by the same individual businesses for over 10 years, knowing they’re difficult but still telling the consumer not to worry about it, that they’ll take that insurance card with no issue and deal with insurance paying for it, only to immediately hand it over to debt collectors that charge extremely high interest rates, who in return intentional use TransUnion as a extortion outfit to force the consumer to pay for something they’ll never get reimbursed for, that was suppose to be paid by insurance to begin with. If Cigna can get a 1 billion dollar fine for not paying out for claims then I don’t see why the rest of the scam outfits can’t be hit with the same thing. My question is how do I contact TransUnion’s legal department to get the ball rolling since you guys ILLEGALLY dropped my score by over 22 points in one day…

I agree make a post when you get that info i’m having a big issue myself.

TRANSUNION refuses to allow contact with their corporate offices or legal office. They lie about investigations…they do not report the true Lexis Nexis Data and they do not write creditors are REQUIRED in an second stage dispute.
They refuse to report corrected data and are malicious in the reporting of fraudulent/unverifiable data.

I wanted to refreeze my credit and became confused by your web site and mistakenly signed up for credit monitoring, I do not want that and want my $19.95 back that you billed my credit card. I will file a complaint about your confusing web site, a credit freeze is supposed to be free it’s the LAW.

I own 5 residential properties – Free and Clear – totally paid for
I own 1 residential property that I recently borrowed $400,000 on (property value $1.8 M)
Total 6 Properties (with a loan ONLY on one property) See above
I have stock accounts amounting to $250,000 (ASSET)
I have 2 credit cards that I pay off monthly with a ZERO balance
I have $3,000 in a SAVINGS account at my bank
I have a $50,000 SECURED loan with my bank using $50,000 CASH as SECURITY
DO YOU THINK I CAN GET A GOOD CREDIT RATING FROM ANY OF THE 3 CREDIT BUREAU’S? HELL NO, THEY CONSIDER ME A POTENTIAL CREDIT RISK!!!!!!
Maybe I don’t make $300,000 plus that James Peck makes – or $4 Million that one of their other Board Members make – are they the only ones (along with their buddies) who can have a decent credit score?
My plans were to sell ONE of my properties and together with my stock accounts, I would PAY OFF the $400,000 loan. I guess I NEED to ask permission from each of the Credit Bureaus to make the PAY-OFF; otherwise, they may lower my credit score again.
OUR COUNTRY IS BECOMING MORE SOCIALIST BY THE DAY!!!!! The ELITE is going to determine what we can and cannot do. I consider all three SCAMMERS!

I’ve contacted TransUnion 4 times over the last 2 months to get a copy of my annual credit report. They keep promising I’ll have the report in 7 to 10 days but I’ve never received the report. I contacted consumer finance and filed a complaint. I just received their response that they need 60days. This is out rages. I plan on contacting them by certified mail. I’m also contacting consumer finance.gov. and let them know more needs to be done.

I’m a victim of the Equifax breach. As stated by many I froze my account at Equifax, and Experian. I also froze my account at TransUnion, and they charged me $5. I am grateful that Equifax, although only after public pummeling, gave in to consumer demands, and Experian allowed a free freeze, TransUnion apparently wants to make money from people’s misfortunes. TransUnion, you can go screw off! Another frigging corporate money grab!

I’ve attempted to obtain a free annual Credit Report from Transunion on-line multiple times for days. But, receive the following message: “Unfortunately, your request cannot be fulfilled online at this time.”
I’ve also attempted to place a FREEZE on my credit report with Transunion on-line multiple times for days. But, receive the following message immediately after creating an “account” to manage the FREEZE: “Your account has been temporarily suspended.”
Multiple attempts to correct this by contacting Transunion by phone have been a waste of time.
I have been able to obtain a credit report for review and also have been able to apply a credit FREEZE without incident from the other three credit reporting agencies.
I am not a customer or stakeholder in Transunion. The company along with the other credit reporting companies have collected personal and financial information for years without authorization.

Contacted my State Attorney General. After the Equifax breach I have attempted to freeze my credit report, which is the only responds that I can do to keep from being cherry picked by fraudsters.Your site makes it impossible to freeze the account. Phone number just tries to up sell you into a useless products. Absolutely impossible to contact anyone from TRANSUNION to resolve this or any issue, the hubris is to the point of being criminal. This organization needs to be closed down and the executives charged.

Someone recently stole my credit care numbers and apparently obtained whitepages information on me, and proceeded to open two accounts in their name on tu Transunion in their names. Now why would a security credit company allow anyone to open an account monitoring in someone elses name? Not very secure!!!!! I would like to speak to the CEO Peck on this one.

I simply wanted my Annual Free Credit Report. I went to the website and was able to get my Experian and Equifax rep[orts but not Transunion. Over the next two hours I spoke to eight (8) people at Transunion. I was given four different phone numbers and two websites. At least two had such strong Indian accent (I spent 8 years in the middle east and know and Indian accent), I had a hard time understanding them.
I asked to speak to someone in the United States and was told that the corporate office in California was closed. At different time times I was told my file was locked for investigation, there were duplicate files so neither could be accessed, creditors were not reporting to Transunion and I had no credit report (funny since I did get a Transunion FICO score.
I finally talked to someone who claimed to be a supervisor and had no better luck. I was applying for a business loan and the SBA wanted my credit reports. Now I have to wait for one to be sent in the mail.
I was passed back and forth several times and told to call someone at the number who had just told me to call the other number (855-681-3196 told me to call 800-916-8800 who told me to call 855-681-3196).
Having been in Customer Service most of my life I’ve witnessed incompetence before, but never at this level. The employees at Transunion seem to have a goal of frustrating the customer until they quit and hang up. Transunion should not even be allowed to do business.
A. Morris says
I totally agree with you. TransUnion should not be allowed to conduct business. I have spoken with over 15 different people reading from scripts and all overseas. Not one person helped with a problem that TransUnion caused! Finally I reached someone in the United States by the name or alias name of Jasmin from thr special handling dept. who claimed to be a supervisor! Not even! She was of no help so I called again and got Noreen same dept. but much ruder on the phone! She said Miguel who she claims is the supervisor for Jasmin is not available! I see why Transunion was sued.. they are on a mission to piss customers off and will not stop until they have achieved that goal! Incompetence at it’s finest! We need to start a class action suit against them because their credit reporting habits are illegal!!

I found the PO box 2000, Chester Pa, 19016 on your website and the post office says there is no deliverable address there. PLEASE give me the address I can send my security freeze info and check to place a freeze. I already placed freezes through the other two credit reporting agencies without any problems.
Thank you,

THREE times I have asked TransUnion to identify the supplier of an erroneous address on my credit report and who validated the address as accurate. The latest time they sent me another copy of my credit report, NOT the name and address of the supplier who caused my indebtedness to be revealed to my relatives. Can any of the dolts at TransUnion read or think? It appears James M. Peck is sitting atop an enormous dung pile and doesn’t care about good business, the law, or anything else. WAKE UP…I intend to sue and let the world know how stupifyingly inept you are. ATTORNEYS GENERAL: close these b**bs down!

One individual can make a difference (e.g. Mortgage Fraud whistleblower Lynn Szymoniak exposed Robosigning’s wanton depravities).
As for little old me… For years I have fought to correct the erroneous information credit bureaus report – the experience has motivated me to enroll in law school. There continues to be NO accountability for credit bureaus as law-makers do little besides fronting headlines to give the appearance of progress (kudos on the Super PACs, well played…).
Lest I digress… Last week TransUnion had an opportunity to acknowledge accountability, yet the ill-informed & arrogant rep. you sent for my small claims case brought to the table an settlement offer that was equivalent to a statement of “I don’t give a damn and I have zero respect for the law or the damage we’ve produced.”
I initially filed in small claims with foolish hopes of reasonably resolving the reprehensible actions of TransUnion – the case is now in General Civil & I will escalate to Federal, if you continue to proverbially spit in my face. I have all the time in the world to watch this drudge on unfavorably in your fastidious, but in actuality defenseless resistance (reality exists outside of your corporate charade of bullXXXXX – FYI).
☺ Through this process I will request discovery of every pertinent policy, email, training video, pamphlet, etc., you use to direct your personnel’s actions & inactions.
☺ I will request depositions from board members proving their willing involvement to proactively ruin lives and ignore legislation.
☺ I will not settle so TransUnion can bury the doXXXXents. Alternately, I will expose TransUnion & their executives to the 300+ million people they affect.
FACTS:
TransUnion mixed my report & ignored copious calls, emails, faxes, mailings for years.
Due to TransUnion’s deliberate actions I lost work, was denied credit, mortgage, paid higher auto insurance, etc.
My health care insurance was affected; I was unable to pay the higher health care insurance (as a result of my inaccurate credit score) forcing me to ignore serious health concerns, particularly being diagnosed with a “large mass” in my breast (for any women on the board, you should be INSANELY ashamed of yourselves!).
I will be filing complaints w/every government agency that carries any responsibility of monitoring you, including the FTC, CFPB & anyone else w/an ear, including the biggest of all, the World Wide Web – you’re welcome, in advance.
Thank you for setting the stage
for what will be an informative & vindicating adventure.

I had to cancel my credit card and get a new one 6 months ago due to fraud. I am still waiting for it to be reported on my credit report. I have made many disputes with it. They would put it on, then take it off. Also collections that didn’t belong to me were put on, removed then put on again. The customer service is incompetent. When ever I mention lawsuit the customer service hangs up on me. Someone needs to contact me from the legal team and the CEO.
