Texas Roadhouse was founded in Clarksville, Indiana in 1993 by W. Kent Taylor.
Taylor had previously started a restaurant named Buckhead Hickory Grill in 1991 but problems with the partnership caused him to look for investors and start over.
By the end of 1999 there were 67 Texas Roadhouse restaurants.
In 2004 the restaurant chain went public, trading on the NASDAQ under the symbol TXRH.
Most restaurants offer line dancing and waiters and waitresses must learn line dances to popular songs in order to entertain diners. The restaurants are known for their free buckets of peanuts on the tables.
Texas Roadhouse has more than 600 owned or franchised locations in 48 states. The restaurants have a Southwestern theme and serve ribs, steaks, chicken, pork, and seafood entrees.
In March 2021, founder and CEO Kent Taylor took his own life after suffering from unrelenting COVID symptoms, including severe tinnitus.
To honor the founder, the company will donate all profits on February 7th, 2022, to the American Tinnitus Foundation.
Texas Roadhouse has 64,900 employees and had $2.8 billion in revenue in 2020.
The company maintains a corporate office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Made an online pickup order on 3/5/23. Wife picked up the order after waiting 40 mins. Past pickup time. When she arrived at home we were missing the extra sauce & dressing, the steamed rice and the grilled shrimp and no bread. We were unable to contact the restaurant. 03/18/2023 Texas Roadhouse location 13130 City Station Drive, Jacksonville, Fl 32218 Time 3:30pm
Hostess was friendly and greeted me very professionally. Seated and the server Jacinda greeted me and asked for my drink order. I gave my order and asked for tableware and napkin since when I was seated Hot Rolls were served. I received my drink order and place my dining order and had to ask once again for tableware and napkin. My salad came and I enjoyed it with a roll. Then went to the men’s room quickly and upon my return the buser was finishing clearing my table and cleaning it. I asked what he was doing and started I had not even had my meal yet and why did he do that. He went and told mt server. She came and apologized and I asked to speak to the manager on duty. The server brought me a new drink and told me the manger would be out shortly. My meal was then served and the server kept checking on me. I finished my meal and “NEVER” saw or heard from the manager. Retired from the Restaurant industry it was very upsetting to see the lack of care of the management at this location. I still gave the server a large cash gratuity feeling bad for her simply because in my opinion she was left out on her own with zero management support.

Worst service ever if I can rate it 0 stars I would
Worst manager ever takiyah and Oscar.
Do not come to this restaurant
I came with my family to have a nice time but instead left upset .
Order 2 steaks one well done and one medium well
Waited for about an hour to receive our food .
Not once did the waiter came by to check if we needed drinks .
We received our food our steaks weren’t right we asked for them to be cook how we have order them
They came 15 min later still both wrong
My husband steak was supposed to be medium well instead it tasted burnt
The manager takiyah didn’t do anything for us to have a better experience
We asked the waiter to cook it again and we still had to wait 30 min for 3rd steak to come
We got his steak even worst!!
The manager even got her phone out and put her flash on the steak insisting it was cooked right!
The audacity to tell me how my steak is supposed to look when we have visited many times before!
I then told her I had the worst experience of ever
She stayed silent and shrugged her shoulders didn’t ever offer anything in return for a better experience!
I asked for the other manager she said he wasn’t there for the day
Then the second manager comes
His name is Oscar
She lied about him not being there and then I told Oscar my experience and didn’t care at all
Takiyah kept going back and forth about how my steaks were right and that she did offer to help when didn’t at all
I will never be back here again so upsetting!!!

My husband and I visited Texas Roadhouse in Little Rock Rock Arkansas and the food was ok. When my husband first received his steak it was suppose to be medium rare and it was served barely tan on outside and cold as ice on the inside, they took it back to “give it some more time on the grill” it didn’t come back much better but at that point he was over it and accepted it. We sat after I finished my meal, he didn’t finish his saying “I can’t eat another bite of this, it’s disgusting”. So we paid our FULL PRICE a check and proceed outside. We get in the car and my husband jumps out, and pukes for 35 mins in the parking lot. While he was riding his body of whatever poison was served, I called and spoke with the manager who assured me he did not have food poisoning because our food inspector says it takes 24 hours for food poisoning to come on, she stated this fact over and over, which I couldn’t really appreciate the “non-factual” information that she was trying to convince me of while I’m watching my husband bent over emptying his toenails! She did however offer to bring some water and even some rolls out to help calm his stomach, clearly she’s never had food poisoning. She took our name and number and said to call her back should he need to go to the hospital. Well after pulling over on freeway literally 5 times, I said we are going. 4 bags of fluid, a CT to rule out bowel obstruction, and 3 mega doses of Zofran via IV. He was discharged at 3:00 am . Side note while waiting in ER he filled up 8 of the bags they give you to throw up in. We were told she would call us the next day to check on him and was sending his information to corporate. No one has reached out from any direction.

My last dinner was horrible. Hands down you make on of the best tasting steak’s I’ve ever tasted. But several times over past several years there has been serious issues with the service and the cook.
The second time I ate at your restaurant in Ontario Ohio, they brought my steak back 3 time’s, the third time it has a curly hair on it. The manager seen it before I did, she was highly upset.
But she did me right, and I’ve been back many times.
Well, 2 months ago me and my wife was brought out steak’s charcoal black. Mine had been turned over to show better side that was 70% burnt. We had already waited over 45 minute’s and the brought our daughters food 25 minuits earlier.
They did not comp us our meal.
I complained here before and the manager called me and said basically what do you want me to do about.
Well, rude. When we eat there it’s usually a hundred dollars or more.
Not from me anymore. And I will share this information on .

And to be clear we was one of the first in the restaurant that day.
After a over hour ordeal, we had to go. They should gave us a dinner for future.

Last night at the Tulsa Hills Location Tulsa Oklahoma. We were sitting on the bench inside in front of the Lady and gentleman seating customers, the bench was very large and only 2 other people were sitting on it. wait time was suppose to be 10 to 15 min and the young gentleman was told by the lady to come ask us to go wait in our car and I was looking around thinking Corvid something and we had just missed a sign so the guy said it again and I told him my car was parked way on the other side of the building so no I’m not going to go wait in my car and he walked back to the lady that sent him, not 5 min later we were taken to our table and the same gentleman walked by and I stopped him and asked him why he asked us just us to go wait in our car and he said he had no clue why but that he was told to ask us to to wait in our car and that it was awkward for him to ask us and he really did not know why. I should have had the manager come see me but tried to let it go but it changed the tune of our whole evening and someone needs to know. Long time Roadhouse fan but disappointed today..

Texas Roadhouse, I tried to find an email to your corporate office, but cannot find it. My boyfriend has missed many holidays with family because of your company not allowing holidays off. He was scheduled to get off at 11 pm on Christmas Eve, meaning he had to miss service and Christmas Eve dinner with family. And now, he is scheduled until 11pm on New Years Eve. This is unacceptable. He is a very hard worker and all of your employees deserve more. To make things worse, he was not “allowed” to ask off. Regarding your “black out” days… the fact that your employees aren’t even allowed to ask for holidays off is completely absurd. This would not have to be in place if you simply gave your employees what they deserve, a holiday. If this is not possible, please consider in the future shortening your hours on this day, so that maybe next year your employees can make it to family gatherings. I know this most likely will not change, but perhaps someone will read this and feel guilt. I am sure the CEO off Texas Roadhouse was able to spend Christmas Eve with his family this year. I wanted to share my disappointment.
Thank you.

Made an online order last night. Picked up order drove 20 minutes home to find that half the order was wrong and missing items. Tried to call restaurant and was on hold for over an hour, no one ever picked the phone up. 3 piece Fish dinner was undercooked, and that was it, 3 pieces. No sides, no tartar sauce, nothing. Wrong salad given, and impossible to eat, wilted lettuce that looked very old. All dinners did not have sides. $75.00 out the window. Had to go to another restaurant to feed my family, more money spent. Not even able to contact restaurant is unacceptable. Quality of food and service has gone done so much recently.

So my mom works at Roadhouse and when they hired her they told here that they treat all employees like family. Well that is a lie. My parents don’t know that I listen to them at night when my mom comes home from work. The location in macon Georgia treats my mom like crap. They allow other employees to threaten her and make sexual comments to her and when she tells a manager they tell her to ignore it. My mom’s life has been threatened several times and nothing has been done. The general manager allows this to happen and when she tries to defend herself she gets in trouble. I know there is 2 sides to every side but I also know that when my mom is upset to the point to where she is sick to her stomach puking and crying I know she is telling the truth. My mom is a very hard worker and she will do anything she has to so that me and my other 4 siblings can have what we want. Until my mom got this job we have never seen or even heard her cry but the location she is at has upset my mom so much that we can hear her cry every night in the shower. The macon location is Nothing but a joke. And what makes things worse is other employees do Nothing and they take it out on my mom and she has to do what others won’t. I heard my mom telling my dad that a corporate manager was in the kitchen taken pictures of dirty pots and pans that dish pit put up and didn’t clean good. We as a family are not allowed to eat there because of how nasty the pans are my mom doesn’t want us getting sick from it. When my mom brings it to the managers they don’t do anything. Plus in our state the law is every two hours you are to get a 10 minute break and she never gets a break unless she walks away after asking several times for a break while others just take a break when they feel like it. I’ve even heard my mom talk about a manager making drug deals on the job and when she told a manager above that manager they just shrugged it off. My mom even asked for a raise and they told her no. I hope this goes so high up in the company that they contact me to speak with my mom because not only has my mom had to deal with threatening of her life but sexual assault and harassment. My mom nor any other person should have to deal with this. My mom is a hard worker along with many others that get silenced every day due to this abuse. So please help me bring this to corporates attention.

I have tried to find an email to the corporate office. They are very secretive about that. Seems like Texas Roadhouse wants to make it hard for you to contact anyone in authority. My parents went to a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Illinois to celebrate their 70th anniversary. I live about 1 hour away so I called the restaurant to pay for their meal. To my surprise, they do not take credit cards over the phone. No accommodation at all. As I was on hold, there was a song playing stating that Texas Roadhouse goes “the extra mile for you”. What a bunch of BS. They did not go the extra mile. Personally, I don’t enjoy their food but my wife does so we go on occasion. Texas Roadhouse showed no ability to care about their clients. I absolutely would not recommend these restaurants to anyone.

My hubby and I went to the lake city Florida Texas roadhouse on Thursday 7/14/22 and I wanted to share our experience with you. We had a waiter named boogie and he was excellent he was attentive but not Intrusive. He was on top of everything. We were celebrating our 53rd anniversary we haven’t been out to eat in the restaurant quite a while since the coronavirus so this was so pleasant food was excellent AJ the manager was very good but as we were leaving rain start pouring down my house I was trying to get her to go bags in the back and I heard somebody behind me say “I got you we’ve got this”. That was Boogie, our waiter! He helped me in the car. He was soaked. I so appreciate this level of consideration and kindness.
I want to let everyone know what an exceptional place. Texas Roadhouse in Lake City fl.. is.

9060004 / 1434084191 Silverleaf Location Good afternoon. I sent a message yesterday regarding my pick up experience at your store. How I ordered my items online at 1300 to be picked up at 1700. How I arrived, followed protocol by texting the “here” and space 12 at 1645. At 1659, I received a text stating my order was ready. only to receive a second message at 1659 stating they couldn’t find my “bright orange” jeep renegade. How then I received another message at 1659 stating my order was ready and would be brought to me, after 5 mins I still did not receive my food so I called the number on the placard in front of my vehicle, only to have it ring forever, then someone to pick it up and hang up. A little hot under the collar, I went into the store to speak with the manager. The young lady proceeded to twirl her hair pop her gum and call her manager, after another 10-20 mins I asked for a manager again. To which the hair twirling young lady advised she would have to go get her. After another 5 mins a young girl comes out and ask how she can help me. After I explain the whole ordeal her response was “I am not sure what’s happened to your food, but Ill go look. Ill bring it to you.” She walked off, never said I am sorry, no explanation, nothing. I walk back out to my car, it is 1725pm. She walks out behind me, hands me a bag of cold food and advises me to enjoy the rest of my evening. Still no apology. I am still furious and have tried to contain myself from putting this whole mess out on social media. I could have understood these actions had you been low on employees, but the amount of personnel you had holding the wall up, twirl their hair and gossiping with one another, there was no reason for the crappy service. I wonder how many others have had to deal with this only to receive a similar response?
Very dissatisfied with the experience so much so I want to shout it to the world.

This summer there were many job opportunities in restaurants and my son was “hired” in Liberty Missouri. The management did nothing but stall, not train, not set hours. My son could have worked anywhere but this location completely screwed him out of needed summer income. That staff should be fired. I will tell all in my social sphere to avoid that location. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to a large company but it’s all I can do. Do not look for employment there. They should be ashamed!!!!

Went to the Cookeville TN. Tonight and it was the worst experience ever. Took close to 15 minutes to get a waitress. Then she finally took our orders and then forgot our salads then. And had to asked twice for it. Then we kept asking about our food about 25 minutes it finally came out and was cold and didn’t even have what was on the menu. Talked to the manager and they acted like they could care less. Do t know if I will visit again or not. Then went to parking lot and a lot of people were complaining about cold food and poor service.

On June 26, 2020, my husband and I went to the Texas Roadhouse location in Cumming, Ga. to celebrate our anniversary. We chose Texas Roadhouse because it is one of my favorite restaurants. When we were seated, we were very surprised to see that they were not following protocol and social distancing. This is during the COVID pandemic. Since the restaurants have reopened for inside seating, this was a first for us not experiencing social distancing.
We will not be going back for a very long time unless we hear that they start following protocol.

Tucson restaurant. (*Wilmot) Denies seniors normal portions during Covid-19 crisis. Gave (10) French fries. 2 rolls versus the usual 4.
Told was cutting back on supplies. I can purchase more rolls and extra French fries if I want. (And, money is not an issue, if I knew prior to pick up)
This is how this company makes its money.
Taking from the mouths of Seniors during the greatest crisis in America’s history.
Took photos of such sad dinner, yet Roadhouse Corporate don’t want to see it and my complaints merely are emailed to owner of violating establishment for their commentary, when in fact, nothing changes the fact, seniors are sacrificed over profits, thus indicates by lack of response by corporate that this form of business is encouraged for profits only. Who cares about the patron as business must make a certain percentage at the cost of the seniors/patrons.
Sad day in this nation when we see such established businesses taking advantage of the poor, fixed income seniors by cutting back their food yet not the price. Shameful.

As I was walking in a young lady in a suv parked in your Veterans Purple Heart Recipients space. As she was getting out of her truck, I asked her if she was a Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient, she said she was only going to be a few minutes. I told her there were many other empty spots she could park in but didn’t listen to me and walked in. As we were walking in, she said she was the owner and it was ok. REALLY, Mr. Taylor? One of your owners thinks it’s ok to disrespect Veterans and Purple Heart Recipients !!!! Shameful, Disrespectful and outrageous !!! She knew where she was parking and to think just because she’s the owner makes it even worse.

Last Christmas we bought numerous gift cards because of an offer of Spend $100 on Gift Cards and get “Free Appetizers for a Year”.
We bought the gift cards and received the card. The first time we went to use the alleged “Free Appetizers for a Year” card, we learned that it is NOT “Free Appetizers for a Year”, but only ONE free appetizer per MONTH, and it is only good for a Maximum of $7.00 per use ! That is a far cry from “Free Appetizers for a Year”.
To rub salt into the wound, tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse for Dinner and wanted to use the card for the “Grilled Shrimp, which cost $6.99, and were told that shrimp is a “Protein” and we could no longer use the card for the grilled shrimp appetizer.
Texas Roadhouse is making up reasons to NOT Honor their offer of a “Free Appetizer every Month”, even though it should really be Free Appetizers for a Year.
I can’t begin to express our disappointment in the Fallston Texas Roadhouse.

I would not recommend Texas Roadhouse to anyone. They don’t care about the customer. Called ahead for the waitlist for 20, my 89 year young Daddy’s Birth Day..I’m told “we don’t seat parties of 20”, okay I want 2 for 10 each, “we can’t guarantee you will be seated together”, okay it’s my Daddy’s 89th Birth Day I really need us all together..9 get seated, two minutes later 5 others, empty tables in the same area as the first 9 and we’re told “you can’t sit there” by Tara the manager ?, The tables are empty..” I told you on the phone you can’t sit together“?, know what you said was you may not be able to be seated together and these tables are empty, “ We’re in the middle of shift change” is what Tara told me?, we are all right here and these tables are empty… They seated us across on the other side of the room? Those tables remained empty the entire time we were there…smh.. Yet about 15 minutes later in comes a of party of 13 that all sat together…

We went on 11/9 to celebrate my 60th birthday with a party of 5. Drinks we fine. Appetizers were fine. Salads were fine. Out of our 5 meals, 4 were wrong. 2 of the steaks were raw!! Not rare, raw! Still mooing. Just a quick searing on the outside and totally uncooked inside. These were ordered as 1 rare, 2 mediums and 1 well done. That wasn’t bad enough, it was the attitudes of the waitress Nicole and manager Amber that topped it off. They acted like it was our fault and totally rude. Knew we were celebrating a birthday because of the birthday coupon that I had for a free appetizer. Never even offered the birthday celebration dessert. Their attitudes really ruined the night for me. They definitely need customer service training or to be in another job field. My husband said that the cook must have been sleeping on this order because it was totally messed up. Amber defended her cook and said don’t go there or talk about my employees that way. Why? Truth hurt? And since when do they take food that was at a table and put it back onto the grill to re-cook? New steaks should have been served, not the one we already cut into. Would not recommend Texas Roadhouse in Palm Bay, FL. Service has been going downhill for about a year. Stay away!!!

On July 28 at 6:57 pm I called in my order. I’m disabled so I always choose curbside service. I sat in my car and watched employee after employee walk out and go out the building for smoke breaks. They saw me sitting there when they walked by and they saw me when they walked backed by going back into the restaurant. At least 15 employee’s if not more. I called from my car and the hostess answered the phone and I told her that I had been waiting for almost an hour for my food. She took it upon herself to find out what was going on. I still don’t know why my order took so long. But my receipt said that I received my order at 7:55. Two minutes shy of an hour for the order. I have the time on my cell phone to prove when I called.

Saturday Feb. 23rd. I am a 83 year old grandfather who took a party of 12 to your location
in Ft Smith Ar. on this date to celebrate two grandkids birthdays one 12 years old the other
18 years old. I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and a marg. with a half rim of salt. the
steak was well done and extremely salty and the drink rim had no salt . I did not say anything to the waiter until after I had paid because I didn’t know at the time three of the other adults in our party had similar problems with their food but didn’t tell me until I mentioned how my order was until after we had left . There was other problems with part of the sides to the meals.

For many years now I have been a loyal customer at TRH , I have been to over 20 restaurants, I am a business owner and take many friends there and have had many company get togethers at TRH many times in the past my order was bad or someone with me had bad problem with food or service the mgmt tries to rectify the matter, but enough is enough, today I went to TRH and was told there would be a 15 minute wait, but everyone that came in after me was seated, I took pictures of parking lot of which had a total of 36 cars in whole area,I was going to treat my family and employees there again for Christmas Holiday, but I feel this would be a fiasco , Since There is Logans and Longhorn restaurants I must plan for future visits there ,seen a lot of Steak houses go out of business in my day and if things aren’t change I can see you added to that list, maybe not some locations but the Alcoa TN location has many dissatisfied customers , Guess one location closing don’t matter much to a large corporation

I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Lawrence Kansas and my experience was horrible. I had told the waiter to split the check for mine and my boyfriend meals. Do he did and then I changed my mind and told him to just charge both to my card. The first bill that came out was 59.44. He charged my card 71$. Then the female manager came over and had an excuse for doing that.?? And then my card was charged again for 74$. And my whole bill was 94$ so she explained to my boyfriend what had happened and never once looked at me only him. And was flirting with him so I got up to go to my car and she laughed as I was walking away. She had said to my other half that my money would be back on my card at midnight and it never was

We recently went to the Texas Roadhouse, located on Cranberry Road, Westminster, MD, and we have noticed that this restaurant has been very neglected as far as its cleanliness. We sat in the waiting area for a great amount of time and noticed all of the filthy dirt, dust build up, and cobwebs everywhere. Dust build up and cobwebs was all over the duct work pipes in the open ceiling and all over lights and the computer monitors in lobby. Long cobwebs hanging off the stuffed animals that hang throughout the restaurant. The young ladies that are employed at this location do not pin their hair back properly, so you can see that their hair is falling in the fresh baked rolls, as they carry them to your table. I know that most people are not even aware that they are possibly eating dust, hair, and cobwebs. You know that this stuff is floating thru the air in the restaurant and landing in their plates. Also, restrooms are not being properly maintained as far as cleaning. Most men that come out of restroom were seen wiping their feet off on a rug. My husband said there was water on the floor and the smell of urine reeks in the Men’s restroom.
I wrote and email on 09/19/2017 complaining of all of this, and a Manager by the name of Dave called me and I talked with him about everything that my husband and I have seen at our recent visit’s. He told me that he saw everything I had mentioned in the email, and that he and his team were cleaning it all as we speak.
Well my husband and I went there on 09/22/2017 for dinner and we were only in waiting area for no more that three minutes and noticed that nothing had been cleaned at all. Same dirt, dust, and cobwebs everywhere in the same places. They never touched a thing. I immediately told the hostess that we were not staying, and we left. I will be contacting the Health Department about this Texas Roadhouse. Very disappointed and disgusted, and will not go back until this place is cleaned up and inspected properly.

wanted to let you know about a tough experience that me and my family had at Bubba’s 33 in Odessa Texas tonight. We had to wait an hour and 1/2 for our food to get to our table once we had placed our order. This was very frustrating for us because we had children with us and we didn’t expect to wait that long for food. We have never eaten at Bubba’s before. I feel that the wait time was beyond extreme. We asked to speak to the manager to see if some of our meal could be comped and she would not even consider it. She was indifferent and treated us as if we were a problem she wanted to get rid of. I am a Marine Corps veteran & I am an honest person. I have no reason to lie to anyone or exaggerate anything. When I tell you that the service was horrible you can know that it is spot on the truth. I payed full price for an hour and 1/2 wait time. That’s ok and I don’t mind paying full price at all. It is not my goal to get anyone in trouble at Bubba’s but the truth is the truth and there was hardly any customers in the restaurant. My family and friends felt like we were ignored and no cared at all about us. I will make sure to leave ratings on social media that are fair and I plan on contacting the Franchise corporate offices to let them know about our experience. If your evening manager would have treated us fairly and comped some of our meal there would have been no problem. However, she was indifferent to us and treated us like were a nuisance.

My daughter in law and I ate at Texas Roadhouse in Clarksburg, WV, last Friday, Aug 18. A woman whose daughter was ill, vomited as they ran down the ramp opposite the bar turned right passed our booth and on to the women’s room. This in and of itself is not the restaurant’s fault. However, what happened next is. A 3 to 5 minutes, a woman employee came and stood in front of the 1/2 bar wall across from the ramp. There was vomit on the ramp and again next to our booth if not other places on the way to the women’s room. The woman employee explained to some of the waiters to watch out and pointed to the vomit. They then stood and talked, laughing and pointing. While they stood there the hostess came back and forth through the vomit with customers. There was a trail of vomit from our booth to the area between the bar and the restrooms. No one was stopped from going up or down the ramp and that vomit. One waitress kept gagging at the sight and smell of the vomit as she passed. About 10 minutes in, a waiter put a wet floor sign between the 2 vomit spots at the corner of the ramp rail. It was still another 10 minutes as people walked through the vomit, before a waitress showed up with a mop and pail with nothing but water. She mopped by putting the mop in and pushing the vomit around diluting it on the ramp. Then left. The pail was placed across from our booth on the other side of the vomit. I then asked for the manager and asked when they planned to clean up the vomit in front of our booth. I was told to hold on they would get to it. Eventually, a waiter spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to put a mop head on the mop, then again in the pail of nothing but water, mopped the vomit in front of us. No other place (like the trails of vomit, were cleaned.) No sanitizing agent was used. Nothing to state the floor was wet was left behind.
I filed a complaint with Texas Roadhouse online. Keith the general manager told corporate that he left me a message. Funny, my number was correct but no message on my voice box and no phone number on my list. Headquarters wasn’t much help either. They will let Keith know I didn’t get his message.
My suggestion to patrons is look at the floor while you are walking and do not wear open toed shoes or sandals!

After talking with Texas Roadhouse Headquarters, Headquarters and the Clarksburg restaurant reviewed my comments/concerns. In Oct 5, 2017, I returned to the Clarksburg location. What an amazing transformation! It is now a model location for the values and missions for Texas Roadhouse. Please accept my kudos for a job well done

Well, we just went to Texas Road House in Rock Hill for the last time. It was pretty bad. The steaks were not good at all. Mine was a 10 oz. ribeye that looked like a 6 oz. and had so much spice on it I could not even taste the meat. My wife ordered a 10 oz. ribeye and got a small filet. We ate them anyway. The potato and salad were pretty good. My wife’s Mom had to reorder her steak because it was well done and dried out. We waited almost 30 min. on her steak and when she got it, it was dried out more than the first one. My wife’s step dad only ate a few bites of his steak. They said they would take $17.00 off their bill if she would not take the steak with her. We paid our bill and left a tip and will never go back again. The place looked like it was being run by a bunch of college kids. This was one of our favorite places for many years. I guess all things change.

We wont be going back either, darn, i will have to cook at home .but i wont be taking lessons from Texas Road House. They need to be retrained, I was shocked at the managers bad attitude, trying to explain to us how they cook steaks, like that’s the first time we had ever seen a steak, lol A lot of people getting ripped off, what a shame.

We go to Texas Roadhouse in clarksburg wv all the time but yesterday we went for lunch and my husband was eating a salad, bit down on something and pulled glass out of his mouth. I tell the manager and they act like it’s an order that’s messed up. NO it was glass in my husbands mouth. They act very unconcerned, we fill out papers in case he goes to the dentist and he needs to because his tooth is bothering him. I go round and round with the Roadhouse we was at and the corporate. If he wants to go he has to pay out of pocket first then they’ll pay him back. This is not right. No one seems too concerned. To top it all off he was gonna have to pay for his steak he couldn’t eat and I told them I was not. I will not be back and will tell everyone about this. Very unprofessional.

I have been a loyal customer of your Marietta, GA restaurant for years. The last two years I noticed that everytime I order the salmon the salmon is barely grilled and bright pink inside (uncooked). I have talked to every manager on duty, and all recognize that is a common issue due that the person who grills the salmon, follow directions of cooking it pink or medium no matters what the ticket says. 8 months ago one of your managers also told me that if I wanted ny salmon cooked, it wasnt enough to say ” well done” that i also needed a manager on duty to notify the kitchen, otherwise it will never be cooked to order. I kept complaining everytime I visit; the last time the manager promised me that it wont happen again, she gave me a voucher and sure enough, I came back 3 months later and my salmon was finally cooked.
Today, I went back to you restaurant, I ordered my salmon well done, when the plate arrived the salmon wasnt cooked. I went to speak to the manager on duty “Nicole” and I told her about the situation and what was promised to me, she did not wanted to hear it, and cut me off and told me ” i did not promise anything but I can fix it” she grabbed the plate and let me talking on my own.
5 minutes later she arrived at my table and told me “cut it to see if it is right” and As soon as i open the fillet, nothing was done, the fish was still pink. She never apologized until I mentioned her that her attitude wasnt good and that she did not even say she was sorry- she acted like she did not care sinkig her chin into her face and acting like She dis not know what I was talking about, and took the fish back to the kitchen.
Then Ms. White came to my table with the same careleas attitude, she just came to tell me not to bother to complaint, because if I do it, I would still have to talk to her.
How difficult is to get food cooked when you are in the restaurant business and you specialize on meat? How difficult is to train your kitchen manager and grillers to measure temperature on the meat and to read the ticket to see how needs to be cooked?
I am honestly completely done with your chain and in particular that location. You have placed spoiled millenias with ZERO customer service skills to run your operations, and people who only persue a paycheck and no a career.

I had the worst experience at Texas Roadhouse in St George. We waited 1:45 minutes to get 1/2 of our order and then we waited another 15 minutes to get the rest of our order which was wrong. The sweet potatoes was not cooked, the hamburger was a burnt and look like it had been rewarmed. There was 4 groups of people that left the restaurant that sat by us that had the same experience. I think that dancing girls is less important than getting customers served. I will say the steaks that we got was great, but everything else was terrible. The manager tried to very understanding , however if you don’t know what is going on you can not fix the problem. I would be worried about your business when you start having people leaving your restaurant during peek seasons and going to other restaurants in the area. It seems that this has happened about 3 times to us in the last 6 months when we have a party of 6. The waitress tried her very best to accommodate us, but she is limited either by you don’t have enough help in the kitchen or just bad scheduling of help. I hope you can get this fixed in the future, or you will be closing, just like a couple of other restaurants in the area has done.

I have called and left 2 messages for corp to call me, since you can only leave a message. 3 other people in our party of 20+ have left messages, and absolutely no response to any of us. What’s the problem? No wonder your manager Jeremy Taylor @ the Sevierville Tn location treats customers like crap. He knows the corporate won’t ever find out about, it or do anything about it! Very poor!

We went to Texas Roadhouse last night(2/5/17) for my sister’s birthday, she loves the place. We arrived a little before 6 p.m. with six in our party. We were informed by the lady at the counter that they had been slow earlier so they shut down half the restaurant and then they picked up business, so the table that would seat us all was being occupied and that she would ask the manager about opening up the closed area for us to sit. The manager Chris Spillman said no.
We waited over 45 minutes just to be seated. As we waited we noticed there were some tables that seat it for people open, my question is why couldn’t they have pushed two of those together to seat us? We have been to this Texas Roadhouse multiple times( Kirkwood Missouri) and have always had the manager come over and asked how everything was but this evening we never saw him.
It wasn’t like it was a cheap meal( the bill was right at $117).
I would like someone from Texas Roadhouse corporate office or a district manager to look into this and contact me on the reason why the manager I feel was so rude.
We have all discussed this in length and have decided that maybe we will try another restaurant for family get-togethers and celebrations.

Posted on Yelp: A group of 12 of us went to Tracy Texas Roadhouse for lunch. The food was good, I have no complaints about that .. but .. after we paid and were back at work looking at the receipt to divide it up, we noticed they listed 13 people in our party and charged us for 13 meals and 13 drinks. Yet they only brought out 12 meals and 12 drinks. I called the restaurant and spoke to both the manager on duty and the waitress and explained the situation. They asked me no questions (I mean absolutely no questions .. when were we there, what did we order, which one was wrong, etc) and do not act one bit surprised (they acted like it was commonplace). They did credit me for the extra charges but I can’t but think it was done on purpose because 13 people, 13 meals, 13 drinks but only 12 meals and 12 drinks made it to our table. I also can’t help but wonder how many times this has happened and the customer didn’t catch it. I called Texas Roadhouse Corp but was told they couldn’t help me because the restaurant belonged to a franchisee. They gave me a number to call, I did. Someone was supposed to call me back within 48 hours. It’s now been 3 weeks but no one ever called. I guess they just don’t care. If you eat at the Tracy Texas Roadhouse, you’ll like the food but watch your receipt carefully to ensure you’re only charged for what you should be.

i purchased a gift card at Christmas for a friend because he liked prime rib. Since then we have gone on seven different occasions and called on other times to see if they have prime rib. We were told only on Friday and Saturday. The last time was on Friday and no prime rib. This was at the Quincy, Il business. Why is it on the menu if they never have it. It’s been eight months. They can’t be out all the time.

I have been to the Texas Roadhouse on many occasions. The store that I go to is the Stapley and US 60 in Mesa Arizona. There is a service manager there named Jannelle who has to be one of the rudest employees I have had the unfortunate pleasure to know. The restaurant was somewhat busy but not to the point that I could not be seated. I was told I would have to wait, and about 15 minutes later I walked out the door. Too many other restaurants in the area to put up with this. I did talk to the general manager and he was not happy. I do not know if he did anything about it as she is still there. If she worked for me she would have been out the door as you do not treat any customer in this manner.

my family and I dined at the Texas road house on south Florida Ave. Lakeland, Fl. My husband and my daughters dinners were fine, however mine on the other hand had to be sent back three and I was not happy, my steak was cooked wrong, and my sweet potato was as hard as a rock and each time it wasn’t cooked right to perfection. I finally gave up complaining and just left. The staff was kind. it was not a very nice dining experience. Considering how much money we spent. Just thought you should know. Sincerely Angela Helms.
