Tenneco does not give a sh*t about their employees. They drag you to the ground until you can’t move anymore. They expect you to work 12 hour shifts 7 days a week and then deny your vacation that was put in 6 months ahead of time.

I work at the tenneco in smithville tn and they just let whoever jump on a tugger or forklift with NO licenses while im already pulling big heavy materials. Want never fix the wheels on the carts even though it been messing my back up . Want never bring me help on 2nd shift . They say we dont need help when it just me stocking and bringing every cart including kit carts up there as well .

My husband has worked at the Tenneco in Marshall, MI for over 30 years. It is the most disorganized dump I know of.
My husband obtrained a hernia from the heavy lifting but becasue they try to fire you if your injured even if it is there fault he did not claim as work related but rather used STD for surgery. He has now been off work for 6 weeks. Met Life, the STD carrier reported they submitted the information to Tenneco Marshall HR and they should have cut a check. 6 weeks and no check. All attempts to contact Marshall Tenneco plants 1 and 2 are unsuccessful as every number published is VM full so you can’t leave a message, the phone is not answered and if you contact a coworker they say they deliver the message but no one returns the contact.
Marshall Tenneco is a JOKE. REDICULOUS. HR wears flip flops, dress like wh**** and obviously do not do their work. Pathetic excuse for an employer.
It would be great if the people that are hired to do the job would do the job.
Such incompetence. Such laziness.
No wonder people dont’ work there. My husband stays because he has been there 30 years but wow – what a mess.
Workers don’t stay.
Just a worthless bunch of pi** poor management.

No that ain’t my name or my email. I don’t want my name put out there. But angola tenneco has hired a 17 year old kid. Phil (hr) knows that. Laws states no one under 18 can operate machines or machinery under 18. And we wonder why he has gotten hurt. People plan on calling labor enforcement if something ain’t done about it
