Morgan Properties was founded by Mitchell Morgan in 1985. The company is a real estate investment and property management firm which invests in low-income areas and creates affordable multi-family housing units.

Morgan Properties is the 19th largest multi-family building owner in the US as of 2015. The company owns and manages 117 apartment communities with over 31,000 units located in ten states throughout the country, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast Region. They own and operate over 11,000 apartments in the Maryland-Washington, DC Corridor alone.

President Jonathan Morgan received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in June 2019 for personal commitment to their company and the community.

The company has had expansive growth over the past 10 years, mainly through acquisitions, such as the 192 unit Abrams Run Apartments, located near company headquarters,  acquired in February 2014 for $31.4 million.
