The company provides electricity, natural gas, and solar energy for more than 95,000 clients. The majority of the company’s products are green, such as wind or solar-powered sources.
Eligo Energy was listed as #222 on the 2020 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies.
In August 2019, Eligo Energy paid the state of Illinois $3 million for what the state called “fraudulent claims.” The State of Illinois alleged that the company and its sales representatives used aggressive and deceptive tactics to enroll customers in the ComEd territory into unnecessarily expensive contracts for electricity.
