Drago’s Seafood Restaurant was founded by Drago and Klara Cvitanovich in 1969. This couple wanted to create the most unique seafood based restaurant in the world. Drago was known for hand picking oysters himself daily and keeping them alive in the oyster bar until they were ordered.
The company has expanded to four locations with 3 in Louisiana and one in Mississippi. There are about 400 full time employees. While Drago himself no longer hand picks the oysters, his son and extended family still run this family owned chain of restaurants.
