From this single meat market and small restaurant, the company has expanded to include four locations across Texas, as well as nationwide shipping.
Black’s Barbecue is still family-owned and operated, with Barrett Black being the 4th generation pitmaster and the family’s 5th generation is growing up with the business.
In September 2023, the online magazine TravelAwaits named New Braunfels location the second-best BBQ restaurant in the nation.
