Debra and John Loehnert decided that they wanted to open their own restaurant in the Corning area of New York and bring fine dining to the area.

3 Birds Restaurant opened its doors in 2000.

In July 2023, the company opened its second floor to include the Axe Lounge. Why “Axe”? Because of it’s long, narrow space, the lounge is the perfect place to play games throwing axes, of course.

You can play several versions of axe-throwing games, relax at the bar, and even have your meals brought to you from downstairs.

The restaurant is best known for its outstanding menu including steaks, seafood, pasta, an extensive wine list, martinis, and a private banquet space.
