I went to the Stater Brothers store in Hemet located at the corner of Sanderson and Florida yesterday. I purchased a creme puff from the bakery counter, and it looked delicious. When I got home, I put it in the refridgerator, and later last night my husband and I shared it. It was so horrible I had to spit it out! All I could taste was chemicals!!!!! I am appalled that this company uses chemicals in their whipped cream…How on earth can you justify calling this a creme puff when the taste is nothing like whipped creme???? The pastry shell was like cardboard. I can’t believe that the girl at the counter charged me $3.99 for a “Tuxedo Truffle Mousse Cake single”! I didn’t notice that until this am! I mean really, why can’t you use real ingredients to make whipped creme? You just add a little sugar and vanilla to heavy cream, and whip it! Why wouldn’t you send the shells to the store, and let the employees fill them there, with REAL WHIPPED CREME, instead of sending these inedible, horrible, and poisonous (because of all the chemicals put into them!) pretentious desserts? I would be very happy to see Stater Brothers try a more mindful approach to the foods you sell…and in my opinion, I think these should be pulled off the shelf indefinately.

Hello,
I attempted to send this directly to the store manager, Onesimo Vera, but it bounced back due to incorrect email address.
I was at your store (#40, Santa Ana – Grand/Tustin) yesterday afternoon (1/31/2019). There was an error at time of sale, which could have been easily rectified, but was rushed through.
Summary: I had a basket of items which included 4 12-packs of Coca Cola products. The cashier (Reyna) came to the cart the scan them individually. She must have accidentally missed one; I was charged for 3 instead of 4.
After I paid, I was given the receipt at which time I noticed the issue. Since I was only charged for 3, it did not generate the discounted price of $2.99 per 12-pack, if buying 4.
A simple solution would be to ring up the price for 1 with CRV & tax, then multiply 3 to see what I was charged. Then ring up the sale price w CRV & tax times 4 to see what I should have been charged. Then refund me the difference.
Instead the new cashier (Jessica) just took over at Terminal 4. She tried a different method and was quite short with me and refused to explain what she was doing. I’m still not sure why there is a descrepancy in our 2 calculations, but there is. Not by much (only $0.47), but the abrupt reaction and short tone was frustrating.
A full explanation is below. (I have the receipts if necessary). Note: Reyna came back and attempted to fix it at Terminal 3, but she too came up with $6.97 refund.
I don’t want to be “that guy” who freaks out over 47¢, but the issue isn’t the money only, it was the way I was treated. I could be wrong but I don’t see how; a little courtesy goes a long way.
Thank you,
Tim Morner

I am 81-years old and have a very limited income. Every 3-4 weeks I have enough left to buy a piece of carrot cake. Finally was able to be off oxygen long enough to go for my carrot cake. Per “Corporate” the carrot cake is now from a 2-layer cake totally covered and filled with more frosting than is generally found on an entire cake. I did buy the cake and ended up with a very small, possibly 1 inch square of cake which I had saved for 3-4 weeks to enjoy ($2.99). Being diabetic I will never buy this again from your store. Ralphs is not much further and also has a section in back of the store of day-old bread and baked goods for the income-challenged and also a table with marked down vegetables. If not for that I would never have any fresh vegetables. What happened to you guys? When you opened your store in Orange County in the 1960s I seemed to remember a more customer-friendly place. The store you recently opened is very nice but I just can’t afford you anymore. I only have 400 after paying rent, food, utilities, my prescriptions and other necessities.

Yesterday I emailed to you an observation I made regarding your new 1 liter bottles of Stater Bros. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I stated that the batch must be contaminated with inferior oils because the new bottle would not freeze in my refrigerator, as would be normal for 100% olive oil.
Now I must apologize because, having given the new bottle a second day in my refrigerator, the oil has solidified as expected.
I hope I have not caused an uproar at your end.

There are SO many great and helpful empkiyees of my local stire #96, Yucca Valley, California. Adam Brown, manager.
Today it was a great helpful employee, Karen G., who helped me get my groceries & dog food cans into my car. She is amazing. I am an ex-state policewoman from back east but can no longer walk very good. #96 Stater Bros. is the ONLY store where I spend my SSI and retirement income. You carry great fresh foods and the best selection of beer and whiskey.
Thanks so much for having such a great organization!

I’d like to commend the manager of the Stater Bros in Oceanside, CA on Mission Ave.
His name is Steve.
I emailed the Stater Bros regarding a product that is currently not being stocked.
Steve called me at home and explained completely what the situation was, and when it should be resolved.
This is NOT the first time I’ve been contacted by Steve and on all occasions, he has been extremely helpful and I certainly appreciate the quick response. I feel he is a responsive manager and I want to commend on him on his personal customer service.

I am in Victorville and began shopping at the store on amnesist off of bear valley last night the most embarrassing night of my life
Security came and commanded me to leave store loudly right as I was getting in line in front of the store WHY… HE SAID MGR SAW ME STEALING MINUTES EARLIAR.
MGR CAME OVER AND CONFIRMED THAT HE HAD ME ON TAPE.
KNOWING THAT I HAD PAID AT THE DELI FOR CHIPS AND SANDWICH.. AND HAD MY RECEIPT.. I WAS INFURIATED… BECAUSE I HAD PROOF AND ALSO BECAUSE I KNEW HE WAS LIEING… TWO OTHER MGRS CAME AND APOLOGIZED… BUT MY PAIN PERSIST I had some type of physical event… Practicly had to take a knee just short of calling a ambulance. Store Mr did not offend in any it was the third Mr who just walked away…. After seeing my receipt
this all took awhile to play out causemy receipt was in my pocket and at first I couldn’t find it…. Having security approach me made me desperate to find receipt because he refused to go and ask clerk
If I can’t sue something is wrong.
First I will tell you what happened
and ask you for some type of Consideration

I am a customer of your store in LaGuna Woods. One of my favorite items was your muffins.
You instructed your bakery departments to start adding sugar crystals to the top of my
favorite muffins and I had to stop buying them since I don’t like the extra sugar.
I shopped at your store on Sierra in Riverside and noticed that their store muffins DID NOT have the extra sugar crystals on them.
I do not see any benefit to the change made to my favorite muffins and I am asking Why you did it.
My suggestion is to have the stores make muffins with the sugar crystals and some without.
Thank You

The store in Lancaster has had a problem with outdated and poor produce for some time. I have bought food that had to be thrown away and have even been told by your own personnel that produce had to be sent back to your distribution center because of the poor quality. My money will not be spent at your store unless this problem is addressed. I bought the bing cherries (PLU #4045) and have had to clean out numerous rotten and moldy ones. The avocadoes usually are substandard and your produce man needs to be moved out. He is very apathetic to the complaints and seems to be very lackadasial to preview the stock and throwing it out when it needs to be thrown out.

This morning I’d like to thank the Corporate folks for the fine BUSY store # 173 in Beaumont… An upstanding older gentleman… Gene. A … is a fine upstanding employee and always very willing and helpful as I observe him during my shopping experiences at your store # 173… I almost get the idea he is a leader in his field…
I don’t quite understand the different uniforms each employee wears although I think manager’s wear brown vests ? So it seems he is a bagger ?
I wanted to touch base with you to whom this may concern…
The Meat and Produce Dept. is tops ! in my books…
BTW it was my privilege to started shopping at your store in Buena Park on Lincoln Blvd many decades ago as a young man… I am now close to 69 years old…
Keep up the good work… And bless your employees too…
I realize the cost of shopping has doubled it seems over the years etc
The bagged salad products you carry produced by Taylor Farms are Outstanding ! thanks for offering them…
I realize this is long winded but I wanted to try and clear my mind of the many compliments I have for your efforts in Southern California… Gene. A at Store # 173 in the city Beaumont… stands out in my mind as a great example of a older employee !
One last thing… there are plans that have been approved recently for 3400 more homes over the next decades in Banning on vacant ground… In my books Now is the time to plan accordingly for this increase to get in on the benefits of families to come here in my area… Now… being a financially responsible time to buy property and build ETC. Thanks for your ear… Michael J Hendershot, Beaumont, California

I moved from Long Beach to Seal Beach Leisure World 14 months ago and the only thing I really miss is Stater Bros Market. I started shopping there when it opened on Spring St at least 25 years ago. Everything is much less at Stater Bros.
There are nearly 9000 people here at Leisure World and I wish you would consider opening another market in this area. There’s a Ralph’s nearby but it’s just not the same! Please, please open one here.
