I’m at the point of filing a lawsuit because it makes no since that I got hurt on the job being pregnant and being refused to receive any worker compensation or treatment, I’ve been calling HR and Ryder Headquarters office many times and still no call back or responds. I’m in and out of the hospital due to being hurt on the job and taking more then 5000mg of talon a day heat pads and ice baths to settle down the pain and nothing helps, I cant sleep, can barley stand on my own let alone walk. And I’m supposed to have my baby Friday Jan 4th 2019

Dear Mr. Sanchez,
On 12/12/18 I was suspended from my job at your Pepsico in Tracy, Ca (Ryder) for another employee who claims I threatened him! A few weeks ago this same exact employee threatened another temp employee two times and nothing was done to him. He told her before she reported it they not gonna do anything to me so don’t waste your time! Now she’s quitting cause he still comes at her and management just give her extra days off so she will shut up. For me I am the only African American driver for my shift and he tells the guys he takes the lift that I get on because he like to get under my skin! I have been ignoring him and just doing my job. On three or four times this has happened: one time the supervisor was present n did nothing! Well on yesterday he takes the lift again that I signed out and says go cry and tell they want do anything to me! But he claims I threatened him cause I said one day the guys gonna take your forklift away from you just as you do me over and over you will get yours sooner or later you watch! He says this is a threat and I was suspended! Why is it this Mexican employee did not get suspended upon his threats? I did not physically threat him or verbally threatened him but was suspended. All the Mexican’s here get away with everything and then some. We get called the N word and nothing! We get threatened and nothing! Why! Why! Why! And our management who gave them a job?

Business isn’t profiting, contract negotiation, bid low to get the contract. The contract that provides upper management with a nice income but doesn’t feel the need to compensate those that do the work, dock workers and field service locators making management look good and providing them with the numbers to allow them their incentives. Excuses, this is a place that in a five to ten year time frame hasn’t provided those employees with not even a fifty cent increase in pay yet, well, one increase was given but it was quickly retracted. If Ryder continues to negotiate less than employee favorable contracts why doesn’t Ryder do more for those employees impacted by those non budget friendly agreements. Opportunity for advancement is a joke unless you’re in with the right person and or people. One might think “why not just leave the company” sure, that’s being done but this is on behalf of those that need someone to speak up for the ones that are left behind.

Ryder is a racist and sexist company point blank period. The racism and sexism is clear cut and direct. Are African Americans called the N word, NO are women told they can’t have certain jobs NO. Just because something isn’t said, doesn’t mean that this type of behavior isn’t occurring. I as an African American male, have been denied several opportunities to white males with similar or lower qualifications. You don’t believe me, just walk into rental or sales and ask yourself what’s wrong with the picture. I’m surprised it’s not several lawsuits against this company for clear cut violations of EEO workplace discrimination. I know I’m not the only person who works at Ryder that feels this way after reading all of the reviews on here. Ryder will hire or promote a minority here and there or a woman in certain roles to claim that they are diverse, but that is so far from the truth. White males are dominant here at Ryder, and it’s ran in sort of a ‘good ole boy’ type of system. Minorities occupy the majority of low paying jobs in the company. It’s not that minorities aren’t qualified to get other positions either. Minorities are in fact kept out of higher positions by clear cut and direct racism.
So for anyone reading this, I just gave you the run down on this company. If you are white kudos to you and don’t take any offense to this, I just call it like I see it. I am not racist, I’m just speaking facts. If you are a woman I encourage you to join this company in some role other than HR or sales so that they don’t use you as an object to generate revenue or make this place seem like it’s a great place, but jobs that can make a difference in this company and strike down the clear cut and direct workplace discrimination that is present at Ryder.
Discrimination, low pay for the amount of work and stress required, lack of opportunities for advancement to women and minorities, micromanaging upper management, low moral, terrible work place. Some of the main negatives of working for this company.

Dear Sirs: It has been my unfortunate experience to have any association with your trucks.I have lost over 30 days of work this year alone due to poor quality repairs, lack of attention to detail and timeliness. i almost had fatal experiences twice this year do to poor workmanship: once the truck caught on fire< the second time it filled up with fumes in the sleeeper almost asphixiating me.I always try to schedule maintenance in a timely manner and even when bringing truck in on scheduled appointments they fail to start in a timely manner. As i type this my truck has been in the shop for two weeks and still isnt finished. my only question is who do i need to contact for reimbursement for lost wages do to your fleet managements lack of professionalism. I would never recommend you to anyone and would highly encourage an investigation of the faulty workmanship and bad business ethics.

Hi, I recently left my job in baltimore md that repairs and services your fleet of trucks and trailers. Shady repairs are being done on your fleet. I always did repairs that met industry standards. This company is not doing acceptable work to meet regulations. Management is not accountable and has failed. They have failed themselves and you. Sincerely Damon

I was driving yesterday with my wife and our new born baby around 3pm on 94E in St.Paul MN right around the 35w split. We were traveling around 55mph when the car in front slammed on his brakes due to an accident on the left, I too had to stop and looking in my rear view I see a semi!! The driver acted very quickly to avoid hitting us!! His actions saved us having a really bad day if not worse! If by any chance this message finds him we want to say thanks!! It said Ryder on the cab of the semi and was pulling a trailer that was dark brown with light brown accents. Keep up the good work!!!!!
