I recently retired from my job, which I was getting paid bi-weekly. I had no problems in the past paying rise 2 loans back. But now that I am on a fixed income, the company won’t allow me to adjust my payments to once a month. I can not pay them every two weeks because I have other bills to pay also. I think that the company should take things such as retirement under consideration to make it easier on the person attempting to repay the loan without affecting their credit.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I PAID OFF MY LOAN AND 2 MONTHS LATER THEY TOOK OUT A PAYMENT, THEY WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY UNTIL I SEND THEM A 30 DAY BANK STATEMENT. ALL I GET IS “ITS OUR STRICT POLICY TO GET A FULL 30 DAY POLICY”. I used Rise online service to try to payoff my balance on Friday when I realize I didn’t receive a conformation I called Rise customer service that Monday & spoke with a agent by the name of Edwardo whom I’m sure I spoke with once before just to ask a simple question regarding monthly payment, the only answer he could give me is it was in my contract before I signed it and there was nothing they can could do . Seems like thats Rise motto THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO, anyway i ended up speaking to a supervisor/George I ask if the interest of less than $40 can be waived since it showed in there system that I did try to make a online payment on Friday . Guess what he tells me ” THERE IS NOTHING HE COULD DO”even though he could see it in there system that I attempted to make a full payment & for some reason it didn’t go through/submit . I would have thought maybe since I’m paying my total payment in full & I have never miss a payment. Rise/George the supervisor could have at least assured me that he would try to help to possibly have the interest of less than $40 waived as a courtesy. Only thing he could tell me is he will doXXXXent it in the system & of course do nothing about it, but that’s what they get paid for to read from a script and provide SORRY customer service. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A LOAN FROM RISE DON’T DO IT

I just last month finished a study group where your company was asking us about how to better your service. I had no bad thing to say about you guys cause you had been nothing but good to me up to now. I called Rise last week asked for my 10 day payoff so that I could have my account paid in full. I was told an amount so I had a bank draft that reflected that amount. I overnighted the payment that it would be received and processed immediately. I asked the rep on the phone what was the correct address to send it to, apparently it was not the right address. The check that was suppose to be processed on Friday was never processed until Monday accruing further interest. When I called to talk to the call center I was refused the ability to talk to a supervisor first of all, secondly they are trying to charge me more interest even though I asked for the 10 day payoff. I tried to talk to the rep about the fact that the bank check was dated the same day that we talked on the phone and yet they insisted that there was nothing they could do. Ive been a loyal customer and I feel like the customer service I received today was so sub standard it was disheartening.
I know most likely that MR Rees you will not see this but I sure hope you do

Paid my loan in full after missing a few payments. A year later and I can not get any thing in writing saying I payed it off. They accknowledge the payment over the phone and keep telling me that the department I need to talk to can only be reached by email. I’ve emailed a couple times and have yet to receive any actual response
Very shady. Has been reported as unpaid for almost a full year after paying it off.
YOU WILL REGRET THIS DECISION.
They may take payments and not apply them to your loan

I have sent my ID”s 15 times via E-mail and fax. Even went to UPS and faxed from there. Mailed over night costing me $33.00 the doXXXXents they asked for. Customer service people are rude and keep saying they can’t read the e-mails or faxes? Sent to other places, they could read them. Possibly the worst customer service ever. Still waiting for my loan after 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m sure this email will do no good since the supervisor was more heartless than the agent I was dealing with. I’ve worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years and I’ve never been made to feel as horrible as the supervisor made me feel. I was brought to yelling and I apologize for that because that’s not me. For that supervisor to make my wedding feel unimportant was hurtful and disrespectful. He did not have an ounce of sincerity in his voice. I honestly don’t know how he became a supervisor. Supervisors or supposed to lead by example and be someone employees can look up to and he definitely is not it. All I wanted was to make payments arrangements because my wedding expenses are little more than expected. Everyone has worked with me except for Rise. You think I would have built some kind of relationship by paying off my last loan, but u guys see me like u do a bum on the street. I just don’t understand that if I say I can afford $150 a month because I’m helping pay off one the most important day of my life then why not try to work with me. Instead you keep hitting my account after I’ve mentioned several times the money isn’t in there causing me almost $500 in overdraft fees. If I didn’t have to pay all the overdraft fees than u would have ur money by now. I’m sorry about my financial situation right now and trust if my dad was still alive then I wouldn’t have to worry about anything, but he’s not so it’s all on me and my fiance. I’m going to pay u back just not as fast as I hoped to. I do not want to speak with that agent or supervisor again because they are both rude and heartless. I really can’t blame the agent because she learning from the example of her supervisor.
