I left a review on your web page last week after yet another week of careless service from Republic trash pick up. And pictures.
Week after week your drivers bn leave trash cans left turned over in ditches, left sitting on highway after emptying them. Trash left sprun over the road. Oh the list is endless.
This past week when I walked down my 300 ft driveway to retrieve my trash can, I see this time that it appeared to be hit after it was partially emptied. Wheels broken off. Trash can distorted broken. Week after week , after trash is picked up, often not picked up. The trash cans up and down the hyway are left knocked over, left in ditches ect. As pictures will show.
I have called your corporate office in Arizona complaining and your office in union city, to no avail.
Your company is very responsive when sending out bills…. All about getting that money.
However Integrity with honest, customer service, that is certainly part of your broken system. You are the only game in town, so your care has diminished to nothing but corporate greed.
Bill, get that money. Throw customer service away.
I called spoke to customer service about my recent problem with your truck leaving my pickup completely damaged with distraction of the trash can. As well as upturned neighbor trash cans left in ditches up and down the highway. Weekly occurrence.
I asked to have my trash can replaced. Jessica tells me it will be replaced on next pick up a week out. I asked what shall I do with my trash. Jessica says, leave it in trash bags on the curb. I said bn leave them on the highway where I live? Animals to tear open trash and leave it everywhere. She said a week away was all she could do.
I asked to speak to a supervisor, she transferred to someone who probably pretended to be of help. The woman told me in a rude, put out attitude that it would be replaced in 24-47 hrs. That was Wednesday, here we are Saturday, guess what!!!!!

The broken trash can still sits by the highway by my driveway, your office, missing in action. Closed on the week end, and so I was lied too.
I was suggest customer service training take place in your office, as the ones you have offer no trust, integrity or work ethic.

You call them and they keep saying next day they will pick up, and they dont then by the time the next week rolls around they may or may not pick up. Corporate knows these issues and refuses to do anything about it, they are happy to take your money and not provide a service. Im documenting everything. They need to be investigated . This company is terrible! They charge for overages if your lid is not closed. We paid 86 a month for a container and they have charged us over a dozen times for overages. This overages range from 30 to 120 a pick up. How can a container cost 86 and have so much overage for it to be additional 120 on one pick up day. I have the pictures and they are in no way flowing over. I have been in contact with the Aledo, TX office for months and they take my message but don’t ever return my call.

Thank you for saying this. Republic is the worse. The city needs to stop playing and cancel their contract with them. In the City of Los Angeles apartments building and businesses are forced to use Republic under the false pretense of “recycling” programs. Most of my tenants do not recycle and refuse and even after a Republic/City rep came and spoke to them they still contaminate the recycle bins with trash. Republic never picks up on time and holiday weeks are the worse. The city should be take full responsibility to any building with 3 units or up and commercial business.

I agree….they make changes to their pick up day and don’t message us. I have complained many times over the years about missed pick ups. When we didn’t get pick up on Monday, 12/6 and asked for a missed pick up, for a week I waited and called and waited and called. Finally, on the following Monday they picked up the trash on my regular day. Yesterday they only picked up recycle and left the regular trash. I called again and got the same “we will put you on the missed pick up list”. I am done. Waste Management may be more expensive but at least they are consistently here pick up the trash. Corporate needs to deal with how some of the local divisions are being handled. I used to live in a city where the city was responsible for trash pickup but now I actually pay for my trash pick up and it is worse than ever. After they finally pick up my garbage (which I guarantee will not be picked up before Monday) I am canceling. Enough is enough.

MUST READ IN ALL STATES!!!!! BEWARE of this company. After another hike in the prices, I found another service. I call to cancel my service (on hold for over 30 minutes). I cancel and then am told that I would have to pay $72. to have them come and get the cans that they FORCED me to use when I got my service. I was told by Shelly that it is all legal and that some areas have this fee. She was very rude and condescending on the phone, but seems this is the mantra of doing business. Maybe what they need is for all of the states to contact their local new media and social media and let the world know about them and to stay away from their business. I will say if they have lower prices in the beginning, it won’t be that way later and then you will be paying to get rid of them.

They have told me this over and over for 12 hours. Nothing like having a day off that was and is more stressful than going to work over some nonsense trash. It is still sitting outside my community on day 4 of non pick up. Your employees claimed it was a late pick up for not putting it out front. How can I possibly know what day to put it out when I was told 3 different days of the week. Your escalation center promised on the telephone yesterday that it was being picked up. I don’t know if you know what bad business means but your customer service is awful and you have no respect for your customers at all. My trash has been in that bin for two weeks since the bin was dropped off and I refuse to take that back in my garage as I will not allow it. This is a complaint that will be sent to the Attorney Generals Office. No person shall treat another human being in this way. I should not have to spend 12 hours on the phone on my day off to get your Republic Trash Service that should have been picked up.

This company lies! They say they are coming to pick up my dumpster on a bi-weekly schedule and they come once a month or not at all. I get recorded phone calls saying “due to equipment failure my trash wouldn’t be picked up that week and it would be picked up the next week” of course the next week comes and they don’t show. I call and they say they’ll come the following day and don’t show. Don’t use this company they suck and lie. This has been an on going problem for the last three months, they used to have great service,now they suck. Find someone else for your trash pick up.

I think they are competing with walmart to see who has the worst customer service. I have sent about 30 online requests and called 4 or 5 times and even spoke with a supervisor. The wheels have come off both of my containers at least a month ago. Every Wednesday, they tell me they have scheduled to replace them yet they never come. If you have a choice, don’t use them.

In all of my 72 years, I have not experienced such poor customer service as I had with Republic. One lie after another led to frustration. I was suppose to receive call backs from managers four times, still waiting for the first one. After cancelling my service, I had to wait two weeks to get my cans picked up. I was promised that it would be only one week. I went two weeks without Republic picking up my recyclable after be promised every day that it would be done by 5:00. To be honest with you, someone needs to do some major house cleaning at the management level. This needs to start at the corporate level.

Once a week pick up for a 2 yard container. The attention that I need to rectify my account isn’t there. Robert Huetz sales rep said that the charges occurred due to your cost has increased due to labor, company expenses etc. Basic services that we agreed to was $ 200.97 and 122.22 disposal charge. This year I have paid $814.44 to Republic Services. I paid it online thur my bank for last 19 years. This year every month I receive a bill pass due . I have spoke with the Fremont Office. Was told since I pay on line it is probably my Bank errors or if Phoenix get the money then they don’t tell the Fremont Office.
My Bank has provided proof twice now of the payments. I wrote letters to Phoenix office and Paid directly to Fremont Office. No Avail, still getting pass due. II called a lawyer for advise. I am sending the letter and documents to CEO Donald W Stager. This is a night mare.

I am writing in behalf of my Father, Thomas Dale Willman . My Father has used Republic Services for the last several years. In April, at age 100, he decided to move into an assisted living facility. At that time, I started taking care of change of addresses and canceling services that were no longer needed…. one of which was Republic. I contacted the Fishers, Indiana office in mid-May and made arrangements to cancel his service as well as schedule two carts for pick-up. The service was canceled…. no problem. But, getting the carts picked up has been more difficult. The two carts were to be picked up on June 7th Case 20190502-79086552. I called again on June 7th when no one picked up the carts and was given a new date of June 18th Case 80702816. Today, June 18th, the neighbor informed me that ONE cart was collected and the OTHER ONE left by the roadside. What is going on? I will call again tomorrow 317-917-7300 and request again the pick-up of the last cart. This is crazy and definitely poor service on the part of the team that picks up the carts.

I asked for a refund…I had to show my bank statement by email to an employee to process my refund. May 1, 2019 only to find out it was never processed and now had to put in a new request and wait another 3-4 weeks? I received your flyer the first of the year showing scheduled pickup dates on the back you advertised an “Update” showing that I could schedule a pickup. I called to schedule a pickup and was told I was too late to schedule a pick up for this week. The flyer does not mention a 48 hour notice. Then I was informed that they could not even schedule a pickup for next week, again no mention in flyer about having to wait for a pickup. Rather strange since I can only put out material a maximum of 24 hours in advance. So I will now have to travel to the landfill or transfer station at an additional cost to dispose of my yard waste. You use to come by once a year now the process seems like you are discouraging using this service.

As of 7/6/2019 I haven’t seen a pickup in three weeks. That’s six consecutive missed pickups. I am repeatedly told it’s scheduled for the next day. On Wednesday 7/3, a Republic truck drove right by my house and never even slowed down. Customer service is very nice and act concerned but they have no authority to get things done. “Dispatch” “Operations” and “Management” are invisible untouchable entities. CS says it will escalate my complaint, but their only contact with people who can make a difference is merely an email button on a computer. They tell me there’s no actual visible email address. This is the second time in the last 12 months I have this problem in Northern Virginia (Fairfax county operations also serving prince willial county where I live. There is no accountability. Only endless apologies from powerless customer service reps. This company needs to clean house.

I live in Wilmington, DE and the price of Republic is by far the most reasonable. However, you get what you pay for. Customer Service rather it is in billing or for trash pick up is quite unpleasant. I have had this company for a few years and I have to call at least two or more times a month for my trash or either my recyle. In 2019 alone I have called at least 3 or more times. Today my recyle is still sitting outside piled up. I would like to change companies but they tried to hold you hostage in every manner. I am thoroughly disapointed with the unkind, unmannerable, unmoveable treatment I have ever seen. My local channel is in Philadelphia and I saw a report on NBC from two different ppl and two different states reporting on Republic trash. The billing dept wouldn’t even provide me a discount. Your service ended at the end of January. You were replaced by another service because of the service issues that have occurred during the last two years. Your people contacted all of the customers to have both the recycle and trash containers out at the curb for pick up on the 28th of January and the containers would be picked at that time as well. It is now Feburary 15th and the containers are still at the curb waiting for you. We have called your customer service and have been lied to over and over about what was going on and when the containers would be picked up. You can drive all over Berlin Township in Delaware, Ohio and you Blue Containers are all over each street. Your Service is Sorry! you need to correct your problem this looks very bad for your company.

Like most others expierence, I originally contracted with a small local hauling company in Hunterdon County NJ, who was bought out by Republic Services. After years of missed pick-ups and ineffective customer service, I’m done. Run don’t walk away from this company. Just got there bill. So I’m supposed to pay for services NOT rendered? I own several commercial properties and I supply a dumpster for each location. I originally started with SWDI for dumpster service and they sold out to another company and then they sold out and I ended up getting Republic by default. They’re service is horrible…many times they just don’t empty the dumpster and when I call I always get the same story that there is a “new” driver and he didn’t know to stop there. I still get charged of course. Finally I cancel the service and get charged $150 for dumpster removal. Then, even with the dumpster removed, I STILL get charged. I set up the billing to be taken automatically out of the business bank account. Even after I went online and removed that account, they are STILL taking money out. I have called quite a few times and always get the one lady answering that doesn’t know anything but will contact the person I need via email and “get back to me”. I ask for a number to reach that person and I’m told there is no number, they can only be reached internally by email. What a scam. The sales people are quick and easy to reach when making a possible sale, yet are impossible to reach when there is a problem. I an very disappointed in this company and recommend looking elsewhere for trash service.

I have been trying to get my refund for almost 3 months. Here’s my story. After using Republic Services for several years, they just stopped coming to pick up our trash. The last time they came was mid September. It could have been because we were the only ones in our neighborhood using Republic Services. I called customer support at least 6 times to report my issue and each time, they apologized profusely and promised resolution. I kept giving them chance after chance. The last person to issue the promise, all I could do was laugh and say, “it would be nice if they showed up”. The truck never came. After weeks of trash piling up, I took it to the landfill myself. Finally on 10/9, I cancelled my service. I told my wife to not pay the bill, but unfortunately she had just paid for the whole quarter online ($71.63). I called customer service and they promised me a refund in two weeks. When I called back, they had no record of the request, but said it normally takes 6 weeks. I called back a third time and they said I should have it soon. Three months later I am still waiting for the refund. It’s not a lot of money, but after all the aggravation I went through, the least they can do is issue me a refund!

Once again Republic did not collect our trash. This is not just an occasional missed pick up, this happens all the time. Despite my constant calls and pleas for better service, nothing changes. Our lane looks like a slum as most of us use Republic, and all the Christmas trash is still sitting out there. I will be cancelling my service with Republic and will attempt to contact the management team to tell them how horrible their service has been.

Worst experience as a customer doing business with a company I have ever experienced. As owner of a business I reached out to these guys for their service. Their acct department is a nightmare we fought every mo th to have our acct set up on drafts we were fee’d to death for their poor service and even after the account was closed they continued drafting for 3 consecutive mo this and made sure to throw in another few for removing the dumpster. Refused to ever contact us back when they said they would, never sent us the refund back we were promised by 3 different people each time they debuted our account and as for the sales rep he just flat out wouldn’t answer his cell or return a call. Horrible customer service never owned up to their poor business mistakes and made us pay for their unprofessionalism during our short term of doing business together. We have had to follow up once a week now for 3 months and they are still drafting still promising and still not delivering so at this point as a customer (previous) customer what are we to do

I was unjustly let go from republic waste almost 3 years ago I have tried to reapply numerous times. My account has been locked to reapply. I was told after being gone for a year i could reapply. By the union which represents us. Granted I made mistakes but should not be locked out for good. I have 20 years in the business and feel i could be an asset to Republic. I also have a letter of recomendation from my boss at Waste Management. Showing I have changed I would like a chance to prove that. If i could get a call from someone and an interview. feel free to contact me. I been with Republic Services since 2015 .Living in St Amant Louisiana. I had a few hiccups with Republic Services. But when I all the will pick up the next day every now and then. In June 2018 I moved to Gonzales in Villa Gardens. When I called to transfer my service from Oliver Rd to Villa Court N . The service on recycling suck. The told me every Thursday. They picked up recycling one time. Also told me recycling was pick up on Thursdays. Every Thursday my recycling never got picked up. So every week I had to call and they would tell me that send someone out the next day. Did happen. This has been going on for 4 months now. Last week I call and they told me that my service has changed to Friday and every other week. I spoke to a manager at the one in Ascension and he told me my next pick would be November 2, 2015. So I get home late from work and my recycling is still in the same place I put it the night before. For the last couple of week I have been reseaching the CEO of Repulic Service. Found is name, but can’t find an email address to contact him personally . I so tired of dealing with the recycling . I’m about to call another trash and recycling service. Because the Republc Service sucks. And I want to recycling…

I have been with Repubic Waste for over two years. The driver skips my service all the time, every delay for holiday he won’t pick me up every snow delay I don’t get picked up, I’ve called every time and they promised I would get pick up the next day and they still don’t come. So for memorial day I called ahead of time to be sure I would get picked up and not skipped and to my Surprise They picked up my trash that week but now to get me back the driver skipped me this week the week before Labor Day, so that means he’s going to skip me next week also and it’s 100° outside And My trash is not going to get picked up for three weeks? I have called every time and they give me promises that my trash was going to get picked up And they would talk to the driver but for over two years he keeps doing it!!! I am now the only one on my street that has their trash service everybody else has left them because of this. And they say on their website 99% reliability I don’t know where they get their percentages from but from all the comments I see on here it is way wrong because it’s obvious that I am not the only one having this issue! Someone from Corporate needs to contact me!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Republic Services. I have used them for the last 5 years, and there have been missed pickups with no notification or explanation. My trash had not been picked up since the last two weeks of May. I gave them until June, thinking maybe there was a mix up. THERE WAS NOT. There were unanticipated delays for an indeterminate amount of time. I was not notified by phone, email, or a letter in the mail. I had to call. I have called over 10 times in the last month, and finally cancelled my service. My trash was FINALLY picked up the last week in June, and I was told that the barrels would be picked up that same day. It is July 5th and my barrels, despite multiple phone calls and same day confirmation promises from Republic services, MY BARRELS ARE STILL AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY. Those barrels have been sitting there since the last two weeks of May. If you want reliable, professional, and affordable refuse service, save yourself the trouble, and don’t even call Republic Services. I went to Willimantic Waste, and they are almost $100.00 cheaper and have been wonderful!

Well looks like I am not the only customer with horrible service. My contract will be cancelled today and the garbage will be picked up today or it will be dropped off at their business tonight. Just as I have seen in many other comments, Republic missed our trash and recycle pick up, finally getting the trash a week late and the recycle material is still sitting there. The last recycle pick up was a month ago. I can understand issues that cause service to be off but the bigger problem is corporate not even responding. Any calls are routed to local agents who admit they don’t know what is happening, why it happened or when it will be solved…if ever. Corporate is hard to even find their number and when I did I got a recording that stated that they were having problems and to call back later. Terrible service and no communications. At lease have the decency to keep customers informed.

I have been a customer of Republic for over 20years. We live in Norristown Pa. Our trash pick up is Monday’s and Thursdays. Since Monday was a holiday, we understood there would be no trash pick up, So we have a lot of trash. On Thursday, the trash was NOT picked up either. On Friday, we called the Service line and waited for 45 minutes. The rep told us the pick up will be Monday next week. This is unacceptable. We are having a party this weekend and the trash is full and is smelling up the whole back patio area. We escalated and were given the “Were Try” to get out there. We escalated to a Ops manager for a call back. That was 4 hours ago and still no response. Your service and Operations are dis-functional and need to be addressed immediately. We are so frustrated that we are considering going with Whitetail trash services. If this is not resolved to our satisfaction, we will escalate all the way to COO Jeff Hughes. I am sure he would find a solution.

This company is terrible. I have been trying for 5 years to get them to pick up their 90 gal container. I finally get a response from someone in email, that said they would pick up on May 21. The container was placed at roadside on May 20th. Here it is May 22, and the container is still sitting there. I have been on hold with supervisors, which tells me they are trying but it is still here. I have never dealt with a company that had so poor of customer service.
I would like the email address to someone at the corporate level so I can send a bill for $9125 for storage. That is $5.00 per day for 5 years!

I have been trying for over 36 months to get someone, my so called “sales rep”, Manager, anyone… to return my calls (well over 30 plus numerous emails) to discuss my bill….it has increased from $65.00 to $101.35 WITHOUT ANY APPROVAL. However, no one feels the need to do so…. AFTER being on hold for over 45 mines each time, I get someone that is TOTALLY Clueless and just gives me the runaround.
Since I could NOT get anyone to return my calls, I looked for new service, which is substantially cheaper, their dumpsters are clean, and they have REAL LIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS that are educated within the company.
I was DONE>>>> so in one of my many emails, I asked them to come pick up their dumpster, we no longer need their services due to UNRESOLVED ISSUES on their part…. I was then served with a certified letter stating I was breaking contract and owe over $650.00 from a WALTER FERGUSON, Sales Manager, Columbus Division…however he did not feel it was important to share his contact information. SO When I called the number on the letterhead, after being on hold for over 35 minutes, I was told she was “NOT ALLOWED” to transfer me to him… she could only message him (what company does not make their SALES STAFF AVAILABLE). Of course he never responded.
He did state in his letter he would seek legal action if I did not meet my obligations….
WHAT ABOUT REPUBLIC SERVICES obligations………
Looks like we will be going to court…..
I hope ANYONE OUT THERE reads this before making their decision…..

I received an online bill for 51.40 due by December 20,2017. Payment made the 19th December but you are charging me 210.00 for a lien and lien removal for December 18 before the due date. This is criminal. I was told I had to pay it because of a letter I never received having a different date than what you emailed. Email is my preferred contact. This is how your company profits?? An employee at the Marshall Mi division was unjustly terminatedthe week of Thanksgiving.The terminated employee and another employee had a falling out.It was on camera causing one to be terminated.Is what wasn’t disclosed is the numerous times the other employee threatened the now terminated employee at work and over the company phone.This situation has alot of components to it.I think Republic services really needs to look further into this.There are things going on at the Marshall MI division that are detrimental to employees.Someone really should speak with this terminated employee,and it should be someone other then the H.R. person that terminated him.If I were him I would hire a lawyer because of the things that lead up to this.

I left Republic Services after working at their landfill in Hurricane, WV for 3 years. When I gave my notice it was like upper management and HR did not do anything to try to convince me to stay. I had never missed a day of work due to sickness in the 3 years I was there and did the work of 3 people for the pay of one. They made me feel like all time and work I had done over all that time meant nothing and we’re happy to get rid of me. I was treated like crap a lot of the time as well as our landfill but I would have stayed for a little more of a pay increase. I butsted my a** for that company and got no appreciation for. I felt like I was pretty much being told when your works caught up, you can leave and don’t let the door hit you in the a** on the way out. I was proud when I first started but now I warn people to stay away because they treat employees like s**t. I applied for 3 different jobs while there and when I asked my HR what I need to do to get out of my position she told me that’s the position I was hired for so that told me they had no intention of letting me improve myself within Republic. I left because I felt trapped, unimportant, and like nothing I said or did mattered.

I have had your service for decades with no complaints until now…I have pickup at my house due to a disability, my trash has missed being picked up 7 times and the trash is to the point where the visiting nurse said it is a health hazard. I have called the office and no results, all it takes is a call to the driver and remind him to pick it up. The office said they would send an e-mail to a higher up but with no response. You are withdrawing money from my auto pay without getting any service…they said they gave me one day credit, who is getting the money for the other 6 visits for non service? I am an senior and this is abuse. There is no reason for not having pick up and being given the run around, trash is now being blown over my driveway. This problem could have been taken care of in one pickup, one call to driver Dave Miller instead I have 7 weeks of trash waiting for wild animals to dig into it.

I have had Republic for 18 years. Starting in 2017 they became a different company as I saw them. Not picking up for weeks at a time. Lying to me. Terrible customer service. Now, since Christmas it’s started again. NO pickup for 4 weeks, no trash or recycling. AND…you can’t get them to pick up a phone at all. I’ve been shorted at least 8 pickups in the last year. Going to the county commissioners and the county attorney this time, even the health dept.

We recently ended service with your company after 20 years of service with regard to the mounting fees overtime. We changed to a once a week pickup with you a few years ago for the same reason. We were loyal customers and will not pay to have Republic pick up their property of containers. The pick up fees need to be waived and I will need confirmation that you received this. I contacted the office in Telford, Pa. regarding this issue on 10/2/17. I tried calling the corporate office today and a recording came on stating they were having phone difficulties and then they disconnected.

Awful – just awful. First cust serv person – in the rental dept. – “the smallest dumpster we have is $388” “no there is no supervisor” “no there is no other cust serv person who can take your call.” -I say goodbye – I’ve been getting $60 dumpsters from Rainbow Disposal for decades. Next cust. serv person – “yes, that’ll be $66 for delivery on Monday” GREAT! (I find out 2 minutes later that my husband ordered had ordered one while I was on the phone with Republic. He had received an email that it was paid and scheduled. I call them back to cancel HIS order. They say – “there is no order for _______._________ at that address” So I send a LENGTHY DETAILED email to my cust serv person with copies of all previous emails showing the orders – both of them, and explaining IN DETAIL which one I wanted and which one I didn’t want. I get a msg next day “please call me, this is Tonnitia, at this callback number. I call the number 2 minutes later – “we have no way of connecting you to Tonnitia” – I say – can I speak to a supv – “We need to know what theproblem is first ” – that went on for …………..The supv, Greg, picks up – “what’s the problem” – UGHHHHHHHH – I used the words crap and friggin in my conversation with him. He says – “Ma’m, if you’re going to use foul language, I’m going to disconnect this call” – So, I take a deep breath and say, “OK, the email I sent… ” He hung up on me. – then on to corporate – We’ll see if they get it right- I’m not holding my breath… Dear Lord, save us from corporations – and return us to privately owned, local business – where you see the manager and can speak to the owner. That’s real business. That’s where we need to go. Anyone interested in opening a good LOCAL trash removal co. in Orange County, CA – You have your first customer… waiting for your flyer!

I am very disgusted at this company. I signed up for services even tho I have had terrible service in the past but the leasing agency at a rental home indicated that they were the only waste provider. First they delivered the can but failed to pick up the trash for 3 weeks even though I called multiple times. I called to cancel the service after 1 month and they were able to pick up the can promptly. Fast forward 2 months and I receive a notice in the mail stating that they have provided SEVERAL written notices and that my account is past due (never once received a letter or a bill for the services they DID NOT provide. I called this evening to questions the $72.97 delinquent bill. She indicated that this was for prorated service and a delivery fee. After a short discussion of why should I pay this, the customer service rep indicated she could wave the prorated service charge but I had to pay for the delivery of the can. I asked to speak to a supervisor but the reason I would pay for a delivery of a can would so I could have services. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The customer service rep indicated that I could speak to a supervisor AFTER I paid the delivery charge. What in the world!!! This is why I want to talk to a supervisor!!!! This company is horrible!!!!!!!!

As most of you know, my husband is terminally ill and I had to leave my career to be his sole caregiver. We are on a fixed income and I am the only one dealing with household repairs, maintenance, etc.
I know this has been a topic numerous times but I’m looking for recommendations for a good trash company…EXCEPT Republic “Services” which really provides no service.
After a multitude of phone calls to the company for missed pickup days and other issues, we want to find a real trash company that provides actual pickup service without making us jump through hoops and then paying them for the experience.
Just called Republic “Services” to cancel and they could have cared less. Wow, pretty pathetic company. Apparently, they want any cardboard boxes flattened and folded origami style before they will deign to pick them up. Additional trash bags must be designer brand and lined in gold otherwise the drivers pretend they don’t exist.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I work at a Church. They always skip us on trash days for one reason or another. I have to call endlessly!!!! This last week was the worse ever! I have been calling non-stop since July 14th. Today is the 20th. Each time I call it puts me on hold with some idiotic music and I have waited up to 45 minutes with NO answer! I work at the place of business, I need to take other calls and tend to other business. I have sent 4 emails and finally got one today, said she will address is on Monday. In the meantime I have a trash bin completely full, a big event planned this weekend and had to order another dumpster from another company (because I could not even reach them to order one!!) and had that delivered the same day! In the future I will be using this company for any additional service. This company is really very, very bad in customer service!

On Friday, June 30th a Republic Drive assumed my sons brand new basketball rim was trash and took it and discarded it! I leave in a condo complex and we do not have curbs. My son and husband were playing basketball out front the night before and left the rim out on our front lawn …when I saw the driver coming the next morning I assumed it was the regular trash pick up so I ran out and rolled out trash bin outside. I started callin Republic as soon as I got to work on Friday to figure out how you were going to replace the rim. I finally received a call this morning 7/5/17 from Emmet Smith, an “Operations supervisor” who told me that his driver assumed the rim was bulk trash and that I shouldn’t have had my rim out in front of my house. I was told that they are not going to replace my sons rim. Smh

PART 2-2 COMPLAIN
NOT ONLY DID I HAVE ONE BAD EXPERIENCE BUT 2 DURING THE SAME WEEK AND DIFFERENT SERVICE.
On Tuesday 6/20 called to place an order for a bin it was scheduled to be dropped off on Thursday 6/23. The dispatch dropped off the bin but at the wrong address!!!!! on the same street so i was able to see it, we called for them to move it to my correct address as we were told they’d be at our location before 6pm though the bin is super heavy and we weren’t able to move it our self, guess what? Its Friday and nobody showed up to move the bin!!!! the bin is already filled up with other peoples trash! by all means we paid for this and got billed right away so pretty much we paid for other people to put their s**t in and an extra delay on us!! I called on Friday 6/23 spoke to 2 different people until they finally transferred me to a supervisor on which i requested to speak to in the first place. Her name is Rachel she pretty much told me there was nothing they can do. I asked if we can have 2 new bins today as apposed to the filled one and one extra for the bad service and she said no because apparently RS only services on Tuesdays and Thursday and the only thing they can do was to move the one that already has the trash in, and after all this mess we have to be out by Monday!! my service is already paid for and they cant make an exception and accommodate to us for their mistake????? She then said she will call me back because she has to get an approval for a clean bin, it has been 4 hours and i still have not heard back and my bin is still at someone else property. Then my brother decided to call since the bill was charged on his card all he was told was he can get refund!! Thats the only option your company offers!!!??? what kind of customer service is this? And to say he will receive his refund within a month!!!!??? This company really has to have better their service how is it possible for the company to be non-compliant on 2 different services. Very unprofessional on behalf of the Staff and everyone else running this company.

I am completely frustrated with the support! I can never get a live person on the 215-723-0400 phone #! I always get a message about extremely high call volume. Seriously? how many people can be calling about trash. I really think it’s some lazy person taking a nap and letting the automating system take messages. To make things worse, I received a call back from customer support only to be disconnected…and they never called me back!!! This will be the 2nd time that I’ve called corporate headquarters and complained about this issue!.I’m ready move on to another company that cares.

In my opinion Worst garbage disposal company I have used. Forgot to pick up my garbage many times, picked it up late often so it sat on curb and finally could not my daughters bill and mine straight. Many bad experiences and a haughty attitude.

My residential trash is still waiting at the curb to receive our weekly Wednesday service. Whole street is down. This isn’t the first or the second time this has happened. I understand that this section of my neighborhood is the newer section and some parts are still under construction. Can we please get this picked up ASAP.

I’m a commercial driver over at Gardena,Ca. All I Have to say is that racism, discrimination,and harassment is alive and well. Corporate doesn’t really seem to show interest in our problems, and that’s fine. We will seek counseling and guidance else where.

i am an employee of republic services of shreveport , residential helper, trying to understand how a residential helper has to show a CDL driver how to run a route, when a CDL driver knows how to read a map. it was told to me that the driver had to have a route, but the driver was assign a route but for a month in a half couldnt compete his route. he had over fifty complants every week for a month in a half of miss pick ups . found out that he was being terminated, but wasnt, dont know the reason why he wasnt, but then took the driver off the truck that i am on to put him on this truck for me to show him how to run a route. trying ti understand when is it the responsibility of the residential helper to show a CDL driver how to run a route, when a CDL driver knows how ti read a map, it was told to me a year ago , the reason why they dont pay a helper to show a CDL driver how to run a route, cuz a CDL driver knows how to run a route, but i had to show thius driver know for three weeks how to run the route. this is not fair, this is not right..i feel like my right have been violated. i would like to talk to someone from corporate office to help me understand this..ty

Here it is July 5th after several calls and emails my trash still has NOT been picked up. This has been going on since June 23. My account was paid 12 months in advance so payment is not the issue. Your service is unreliable, your mission statement is totally false, you have demonstrated and unwillingness to fulfill your obligation to your customers. There is obviously a problem with the way your routes are managed because and entire street in my subdivision is continously being missed, 5 Times in 6 months is unacceptable. At this point I feel cheated, scammed and having to find ways to dispose of my household garbage when I paid for the service is ridiculous.

I’ve had Republic Waste Disposal service for about 6 months and during that time they have failed to pick my trash up several times. This past Thursday 6-30-16 and 6-23-16 two consecutive weeks in fact Republic DID SERVICE our entire street. This is unacceptable we have paid for a service that we are not getting. I’ve spoken to the customer service department and they are/have not offered a solution to this problem. After speaking with some of my neighbors who also switched their trash service to Republic we will very likely not renew service with Republic.

I contacted the local office 4 times now. The first time was 6/7 when the driver’s arm lift became stuck and would not retract. His truck dropped hydrolic fluid on the road in front of my house. Another of the trucks did the same 2 weeks prior. They continue to leak and when the truck compacts the trash the liquids run on to the street. This creates an environment for the turkey buzzards, crows and other critters. I have yet to hear from anyone in operations. Each time the agent says they will escalate this to operations. And this morning the agent even went so far as to tell me I had not called before yesterday. This is not good customer service. I want the crappy trucks to stop coming into our area and I want the mess cleaned up. Heck, I cant even get the courtesy of a call back. My address is Whitaker Dr. Summerfield, NC 27358. I probably won’t get a response to this either.

I applied for the Operations Managers position 22300BR and received a candidate reference number 1250858 on April 27, but never heard back regrading if the position was filled or still opened. Last Friday I went back on your website and saw it posted again as of May 27 so I went to reapply and it popped up that I already applied for the position and it is under review and it wouldn’t allow me to go any further. I’m very interested in this position and have many years experience being a ops manager and General manager in the solid waste business . Please let me know if I’m still under consideration and/ or if there is a way to reapply to the current add for the position.

As a former employee of 12 years I am not surprised by the lack of professionalism you received from them regarding your request for employement. The small location I worked at went through 19 employees in 2 years. Both drivers and management. From the top down the people in Manegment were extemly rude, disrespectful and humilated workers to the point of terminating their employment. Stress put on drivers affected their attitude and their health. The work load was unbearable and recognition nonexistent. I recomend you apply else where.

Ive try to get this job filled out the app for 3-4 times already and no calls back no emails no nothing…if they not takeing new guys take down ur adds of job openings. Its not right people take time from there lifes to fill out a job app for a job who never calls…..

Gardena, CA hauling drivers are being wrongfully terminated. Our new operation managers Baltazar and Ace along with the general manager Jay Foler are violating their contracts. HR also seems to be in the managements side never on the employee/driver. Our union is doing what they can. But has way to much on their plate. Corporate really needs to investigate what’s going on. Before us driver hit a peak and go on strike/lawsuits. Hope to hear from corporate soon

I was an employee for 12 years at Bozeman Mt. I hear you bro. Same crap we had to go through. Worthless people in management. 19 drivers quit in 2 years. Horrible company to work for.

How are you, 11/20/2015 I received a offer letter for a residential drivers position in the Republic Services location Fall River, Ma., I was requested to go for my drug screening over the weekend 11/21 – 11/22. I contacted Gregory Freitag letting him know the screening office was closed over the weekend, he told me to go that Monday. I went for my drug screening on 11/23/15, then proceeded to the Republic office on that same day and picked up my DOT paperwork, went to Tru Med as told in the Fall River location, passed for a 2 year card. Then I contacted Gregory Freitag letting him know all was complete, he said if all cleared on back ground check potential start date would be 12/07/15. He then texted me on 12/04/15 at 5:30 am that he still had not received clearance for me to start, to call him later that day. I have tried calling from 12/04/15 thru 12/11/15 with no success in reaching him. I contacted the Fall River office and spoke to Trisha in the residential dept., she came back and indicated that Gregory Freitag was no longer with the company. She transferred my call to the General Manager, then I was disconnected. I called back and was told that someone in the office was going to bring my info up to the General Manager and he would call. Today is 12/13/15 and I have not received any info, I am sure there are a lot of people busy because of Gregory Freitag no longer being with the company, but I feel as I got lost in the shuffle. I am really awaiting to start as soon as possible. I pray the message makes it to the right hands. Thank you for you time and help.

This company hide behind the mask of integrity. Discrimination is strongly practice and HR allow their managers to violate all the policies written in the handbook. Also, coworkers are allowed to illegally video tape other coworkers ordered by managers in order to wrongfully terminate employees. Racism is alive and well within this company. Filing a discrimination case is inevitable since the office that practiced the discrimination is the office that adjudicates the complaint. I pray that all who have been discriminatied against by this company gets the justice that they deserve. NO JUSTICE… NO PEACE!!!!!!!!
