Re: RESPONSE to the REPLY to the original letter dated July 13, 2017 – Invoice # 1185
Re: Oil change June 28th, 2016 or June 29th, 2016 at Oil Can Henry’s 9702 State Avenue, Marysville, WA 98270 – Invoice #1185
Dear Mr. McDonough;
I was unable to reply earlier to your response as I was out of town. As I was preparing the rv for a trip, I found the invoice from the oil change listed above. Please view the attached doXXXXent which is Invoice #1185. A drain plug replacement is NOT NOTED on the invoice, therefore; as stated in my original letter,
“the original GM drain plug WAS stolen and replaced with some generic plug.”
Visually seeing the invoice and reading your response below has infuriated me even more. Your response did not ease my mind in the slightest. I KNOW the value of an original part on older cars, etc. It is not cheap, made in China crap.
I would like this letter sent to your supervisor or manager as I do not wish to receive another unsatisfactory, untruthful response from you. l will also be pursuing this to my fullest abilities.
Sincerely,
Denise Kimberley

Good morning Ms. Kimberly,
At Oil Can Henry’s and now Valvoline Instant Oil Change, we routinely replace oil pan drain plugs and gaskets as part of the service.Yes, we do use aftermarket drain plugs and gaskets when they are changed out.This is done to prevent oil leakage on customer vehicles.I assure we don’t steal drain plugs.
I apologize for raising your concern on this, The drain plug replacement would have been called out and noted on your invoice. I sincerely hope this eases your mind.
Thank You
Sean McDonough

Re: Oil change June 28th, 2016 or June 29th, 2016 at Oil Can Henry’s 9702 State Avenue, Marysville, WA 98270
Dear Mr. Wulfsohn, Mr. Willis and Mr. Ganz;
My mom, Patricia, and I traveled out west last summer to Vancouver, British Columbia. On our way south through Washington and before heading back home to Chicago, we needed to change the oil in my parent’s 1992 Mallard Sprinter Class C Motorhome. On previous vacations out west, my parents would go to Oil Can Henry’s to have the oil changed, as your service centers were able to accommodate the height of the rv. My father was always happy with your service and kept a brochure in the rv. We arrived at the location listed above on June 28th, 2016 or June 29th, 2016 to have the oil changed. My mom indicated the oil change on her spreadsheet when we returned home and threw away the paperwork, otherwise; I would have an invoice number (or receipt) to reference.
On Monday, July 10th, 2017 we had the oil changed before we head off on a vacation. A long time mechanic, friend of the family, has been changing the oil in the rv since the late 1990’s. I was appalled to hear that the original GM drain plug was gone and replaced with some generic plug! I am disgusted, upset, speechless and heartbroken. I remember being friendly with the team working, watching the perplexed looks on their faces when we were in line, to now find out that one of them stole the original drain plug. The Marysville location was the last place we had the oil changed. It is in our records and the rv was put into storage later in the Fall, so we didn’t change the oil before storing it.
My intent for writing this letter is to express my disappointment in ONE of your employees and company. I know you have no control over someone’s actions, however; your website states, “Oil Can Henry’s has no waiting rooms, unlike other automotive repair shops, but rather, allows customers to sit in their vehicle and watch the mechanics at work via cameras that are strategically placed around the vehicle. Employees are known for their bow-ties and newspaper boy type hats.” I didn’t see any cameras, nor was I notified that there were cameras to view.
This experience will be my one and only experience with Oil Can Henry’s. I look forward to a prompt response from you.
Sincerely,
Denise Kimberley

I use your location in central Portland,Or. when visiting my son several times a yr. I live in Tucson, Arizona where you have no locations. Many people have homes in Oregon that are from Tucson. Winter/summer visitors. Tucson needs a Oil Can Henry operation. It is amazing how many people know your company here. I am sure it is because of your excellent service which is outstanding in your industry. Please consider a location in Tucson. Thank you for your time.

I was having my car services done with the Lacey wa store. I been there twice and on the thire time the young man asked me for my phone number. I said I don’t give that out and he said he could not change my oil. I had never given my number out before. He was kind of snotty about it and I just went to Jiffy Lube and I hate those guys. Take my name off the mailer you send to me. I’m not interested in doing business with Oil Can Henry’s. Change the oil, don’t call me.
