I been coming to this branch #0308 in Lawrence for well over 8years and suddenly they changed staff. I didn’t have my bag , cause I just got out the hospital but I wanted to deposit a $200 check. I was denied. Even though my signature matched. And wanted ID, called my branch, needed a fax, checked my records saw that the city of NYC records recognize me I cash my checks bi weekly still a ha how and when I asked her name she out right said NO! you will not report me for doing my job. What sad it that the manager was right there enjoying the show. This entire branch need to be shut down. never been so disrespect. I’m disable and handicap. NO RESPECT was given

I already have a news press article ready to go for all these fraudulent acts.
Please note I am 68 years old……Please please help me. At least to get
back my stolen $995, from a New York Community Bank, who knew this was a
fradulent act to begin with and they still released my monies. I have all
documentation you need. Please just ask me for it. Ok here is a short version
of the fraud committed both by NYCB and Best Buy… All consumers need to be
protected. Yes I did send out to both: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
and to the Office of Comptroller of Currency, Customer Assistance Group…FL State Attorney Office.+

New York Community Bank here in FL – March 1st, 2021 – $995 fraudulently taken
out of my checking account by an international crime ring, with NYCB
recognizing right from the beginning it was fraudulent transaction. Major
violation of NYCB on not protecting my account my monies. Document attached
as proof from NYCB, knowing this translation was fraudulent but still allowing
it to go thru. A major alert should have gone out immediately, to stop the
    transaction to protect my account.

This entire horrible situation all started when I received an email stating
that my technical Geek Squad support contract now needed to be renewed.
Instead of paying only for one year they are going to do a three-year contract
for $392 and charge my bank credit card for amount. It looked plausible. That
was just the beginning. I called the number provided and requested that they
cancel my contract. On that call I was told they already charged my credit
card which was attached directly to my bank Checking Account, and would
reimburse me. Immediately right after I received an email stating they
accidentally sent to my charge card $4900 and needed me to send back those
monies. I called them right back to find out how to reimburse them. They
needed to download a program called TeamViewer into my computer to do so, Later
on I realized the $4900 was in indian rubles approximately $695 USD.
Even before I opened up their original email, they already my bank credit card
number, my full name, phone number and address. PS they already knew my NYCB’s
bank account. I assume that they got that information right from the Best
Buy’s Geek Squad computer records. How did they get into Best Buy’s protected
    computer software records?

Before I knew it they were able to break into my New York Community Bank (NYCB)
account and sent themselves $995 through Zelle to someone named Fred. They even
were able to go into my text messages to approve NYCB’s message if ok to send.
I had no idea of what was happening until I received a call from NYCB asking if
I actually sent this money and should they lock my account. I had no idea of
what they were talking about and really couldn’t answer so I told them not to
    lock.

Please note at that point my money was gone, NYCB already knew this was a fraud
because of the Fred name but instead of stopping the transfer they allowed it.
Attached to this document is an email sent to me by NYCB they knew it was
fraudulent act and allowed it to go thru. NYCB is totally at fault for
allowing this transaction even though they knew it was fraudulent. NYCB did
nothing to protect me, all they did was to try to figure out what bank the
money was sent too. Of course the money was totally gone, NYCB also lied
totally to me about sending out a claim form for me to fill out, Absolutely
never received. NYCB’s protection is null, consumers beware.

On request will sent complete records , with phone numbers, police report
plus. Best Buy, doing nothing to protect their Geek Squad contracted customers
who pay for their yearly technical help. A warning should have been emailed to
we their consumer’s but never did. Best Buy’s protection was to the General
Public advising of how to protect yourself against. There are many blogs on
this Geek-Squad scam over the last several years, where Best Buy knew 100%
their was an International Crime Ring, preying on the public and on their
customers. They are a very sophisticated criminals, who either are paid
employees of Best Buy’s Geek Squad working along with these international crime
rings, stealing their customers personal information to find their victims or
pretending to be a part of represent themselves as Best Buy’s Geek Squad.
Unfortunately, NYCB did nothing to protect my account.

Here is a copy of NYCB’s email to me on March 2nd, 2021

I have been with Amtrust Bank, now NYCB for almost 20 years. I recently opened a business account with them. I had the account opened for about a month .
while at the drive-through making a deposit, the teller informed me that she could not accept my deposit and that I would need to come inside the bank to see the manager. when I got inside the manager Jamal informed me that I could no longer have the business account with them. needless to say I was floored. naturally I asked him why? what happened?
The Manager Jamal, could not give me an explanation as to why I could no longer have a business account with them!!! Very unprofessional! and embarrassing for me. He basically said that he didn’t know the reason why my business account needed to be closed, only that it came from corporate. I left the bank and later in the day I called to talk with the Manager Jamal to see if he could give me any further information, I was told that he was in a meeting! I left a message for him to call me, and he never did…guess he is still in a meeting!
I than called corporate who knew nothing about my situation. I spoke with a Mr. Mark Young on Friday July 20th and was told that he would call me back, well here it is Tuesday and no call from corporate . I called corporate and Mark was not available, I left him a voice mail to call me back. So, here I am still baffled!
I went to another bank opened up a business account with them an I can tell you the experience was so much more pleasant then the experience I has even opening up the accountwith amtrust. they asked me a hundred questions most of them not even relevant to banking.
there are many choices in banks, do yourself a favor don’t choose this bank!!
