Michelin Tires was founded in 1889 in Cleremont-Ferrand, France. The company manufactures, designs, and distributes tires for almost every vehicle made, including the NASA space shuttles. The company began with bicycle tires and has given the world numerous inventions.
In 1946, the company completely changed the automotive industry by introducing a radial ply tire. This quickly became the most popular selling tire throughout Europe, although it took much, much longer for the US to warm up to this style of tire design. Michelin is the world’s largest tire manufacturer, running slightly ahead of Bridgestone.
Michelin Tires is one of the most recognized names around the world. In 2012, the company had annual revenue of $21.4 billion and more than 111,000 employees. In addition to tires, the company also produces travel guides, travel maps, and is a large supporter of racing around the world.

I Called Michelin North America today (2/24/2020) concerning MICHELIN Easy Grip Snow Chains Evo to try to find out what size (Group number) should I buy for my 225/60 R16 tires. The Representatives passed me around a bit but only told me I had to call Companies that actually sell tires to the public to get an answer. I had already tried that. I’m surprised that a Company that manufactures and markets a product would not have the product knowledge for a question like that.

I’m just thanking your people for making the best tire I have ever ran since driving now forty nine years, the tires are at one hundred and eight thousand, I wish I could afford to replace but I’m stuck on one income and cant even get a wall-mart brand, the tires have to make at least ten thousand more miles or until I get my wife medical bills down more, Please tell your people this old man and women thank them, job well done.

Have always had Michelin tires on my 2010 Ford Ranger XLT! What is best all weather tire for my vehicle! Size now is 235/75R15 109T xl I am considering other brand as they will give me big Military (100% disabled VN Veteran) discount with proof of Military disabled ID (of which I can send to MICHILIN)! Is there a larger tire for my original Ford Ranger Rim? …I hate to change from MICHILIN TIRE as they have always supplied great service, since my great grandfather days?????…However, the other brand says they are equal in service?♂️ and give Military discount?? Please advise, Thank you! I have checked COSTCO! For 4 @ $586.31, no Military discount and they could not advise any larger tire? I want to fill in tire space a little more! Is there a larger MICHILIN tire? Diameter, thicker?? Hope that makes sense?

I ppurchased a new used car recently with michelin tires and thought I had the bed tires on the road until I discovered I had a slow leak in two of my michilem tires? Unbeknownance to me both of the back tires had wear on the side-walls but 85 percent tread on the tires? My question is whether or not the Michelim Tire Corporation is going to stand behind its product? If someone could respond from the Corporate office regarding this matter it would be most appreciated, thank you.

I have used Michelin tires for the past 40 years and for the most part I was a satisfied customer. Something has changed over the past 6 years because I haven’t even come close to guaranteed 60,000 miles that Michelin offers. I just put on new tires after driving approximately 32,000 of the 60,000 miles. The new tires NOT Michelins and I don’t know what the future holds, but unless the quality issues facing Michelin are not corrected I’ll be driving on competitive tires.

To whom it may concern: I purchased my 2005 Toyota Sequoia new and I have a major issue with Michelin Tires, specifically with the size: P265/70/R-16 LTX M/S2 I have 142,400 miles and I’m on the 5th set of these 70,000 mile tires. My last set of tires had excessive wear at about 13,000 miles. My tires are rotated every 3000 miles and the alignment has been perfect. Pep Boys replaced the last tires at no expense. 122683 miles, to me but they only had one year old tires in stock at three different stores. I just had my rotation done, 8/17/18 and I sense another issue .As an ex Retired Ryder Maintenance Instructor, my preventative maintenance is very sound. Three of my latest tires are at 8/32 I believe you folks have a serious quality issue .

tire promotions – have been waiting for your 4 tire promo and receive two (2) no charge. I have been buying Michelin tires since 1959 and have always been 100% satisfied. For past 25 years bought from Tire Kingdom (of which you own 30%) they have no info as to promo i need. I am now in my mid 80s and really cant afford your tires without promo. Walking is not answer. Can you inform as to when special pricing is going to be available or assist in other way. The $70 off for 4 doesnt do it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: BFGoodrich® tires safety & Manufacturer’s Warranty,
Dear Mr. Jean-Dominique Senard,
I would like to share my concerns regarding manufacture defect with your tires soled under name of “BFG Advantage T/A” (205/60R16 92H, 0459). I had purchased above four tires back in October 20, 2014 from NTB tire store in Mclean, Virginia and I was advised those tires to carry 60,000 miles warranty for total sum of $599.52.
Unfortunately, on October 12, 2017 less than two years later and less than 21000 miles on the car, I had to replace two of four tires immediately due to unsafe tires conditions (I was advised two tires were at 3:30 sec) at cost of $ 252.22 (only after limited refund for original warranty plus additional coupons for applying towards unneeded credit card!). I was credit from warranty I have to purchase same tiers again despite the fact that I have lost my confidence in these tires.
On October 12, 2017, I also was advised the other two remining original tires purchased on October 20, 2014 also have been detreated and would be unsafe therefore it should be replaced within two or three months!!
My current concerns are, the tires under name of BFGoodrich Advantage T/A are old and detreated and should have not been sold to public.
As a matter of fact, the lack of safety and quality of original tires do not provide me with any confidence in the new tires forced to purchase in order to gain credit from the original tires (same brand and style).
To this time, I have not been compensated for any of the costs associated with original and repurchase tires partially or totally, including sum of $ 81.96 for old four tires and the two new tires $ 68.88 not to forget that in two month I have to pay for two new tires for total sum of $147.98 (assuming that I would receive the same amount of credit for the next two tires). Eight tires replaced and paid for in less two years!!
As a customer I should be able to really on the warranty and not to spend $747.50 for six tires in two years with only 21000 miles on the car. And spend half of above number for purchase of two new tires in two months due to poor quality of your tires.
I have not been given any partial or total refund towards costs associated with purchasing of any of the tires including replacing six tires (two more coming soon) which are out of my control. I would expect your company at minimum refund my money towards all charges associated with purchasing all tiers and all related costs including mounting & installation, tax, disposal, balance, road hazard and flat repairs warranties. I have copies of all receipt and charges which I would be happy to share.
Needless to say that after repeated contact with your customer service, today finally your agent named Mark called, unfortunately without any help and resolution. I look forward for your cooperation in this matter as soon as possible.

I purchased a set of your Michelin Commander tires for my Harley Davidson, the center of the rear tire started to separate. I was 60 miles from home but made it to a dealership to get a new tire. They had to replace both front and rear tires because of different tread design could be dangerous. I did not replace them with Michelin because why would I do that if these tires are defective and dangerous. I replaced them with stock tires, as I called the 866 -866-6605 I was told because I didn’t replaced them with Michelin the warranty was void. My wife and I could have been injured or killed if your tire had separated at highway speeds. As I am a member of Harley Owners Group with thousands of members I am putting the word out not to but Michelin Commander tires they are NOT SAFE…

THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY HARD FOR YOU TO BELIEVE, BUT I PURCHASED A SET OF P255/70-R16 LTX/MS MICHELIN 109S DOT M3LB URNX IN 07/26/07. THE MILEAGE WHEN THE TIRES WERE FIRST INSTALLED WAS 116581. THESE TIRES ARE STILL ON MY VEHICLE AS OF THIS DATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 269407. I DID TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF THESE TIRES (IE), ROTATION EVERY 3000 MILES AND PROPER AIR PRESSURE. I WILL BE REPLACING THESE TIRES VERY SOON WITH ANOTHER SET OF MICHELIN TIRES. THANK YOU FOR A GOOD PRODUCT IN AN INDUSTRY WHERE YOU DONT ALWAYS GET A PRODUCT OF THIS QUALITY. .
