CEO: Bernard J. Tyson
CFO: Kathy Lancaster
COO: Arthur M. Southam,

Kaiser Permanente’s history dates back to 1933 in California when Kaiser and several other large construction contractors had formed an insurance consortium called Industrial Indemnity to meet worker compensation claims.

The company grew quickly by insuring large groups of construction workers doing work in the region.

During World War II expanded defense spending led to increased workers in the Richmond Shipyard. Henry Kaiser set up an insurance plan for these workers. This entity survived the shipyard project, and is the direct descendant of Kaiser Permanente.

Today Kaiser Permanente is an integrated managed care consortium made up of three distinct entities: the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and the autonomous regional Permanente Medical Groups.

Kaiser is the largest managed-care organization in the United States with 8.9 million health care members, 167,300 employees, 14,600 physicians, 37 medical centers, and 611 medical offices.

It is just amazing that a company like Kaiser has so many seperate divisions, Southern California, Southern Washington & Oregon, Washington, Arizona etc that in this day and age DO NOT allow records to be shared between them. Literally NO path to share medical records. It states that on their website when trying to do just that.

So if you are moving from Southern California to Washington State, there is no reason to stay with Kaiser. You are comming in naked. No records of past history can be obtained. All you can do is glean as much information as you can from your “Past Visits” and “Test Results” and save them to a thumb drive.

Un beleivable for this to occure within a corporation!

I can believe Kaiser is so bad that they do not care for the people that need your help. So what is Kaiser, money grapping A______. You know what I am saying.
I need help and I can not get help from my Kaiser in Simi Valley, Ca.
I an send to either Thousand Oaks, or Woodland Hills, which is about 35 miles
from where I live. You people that work there must get lots of money so why
care for us unfortunate people that need help. Who care about us, Kaiser does
    not give a dam.

    Mr Tyson,

My wife and I have been members for several years. We were happy to find that rate increase for 2020 was to average 3.9%. Then we received a notification that my wife’s premium is rising from $550 per month to a whopping $627 a month. A 13.9% increase. What happened to the modest increase that was submitted? This is disgraceful and even criminal. I don’t know how you live with yourself receiving a 16 million dollar salary when hard working people are suffering. I can’t undetsatns why there hasn’t been a violent revolution in this country yet. But it is coming sir. I am so angry with the disgusting greed that you embrace. I hope God has a special place in hell for you and other executives that participate in this criminal activity that law enforcement ignores.

Right on the point. Kaiser is becoming nothing but a criminal enterprise. Currently they are deny out of state emergency service all the while giving upwards of 295 million to the Warriors and building themselves a billion dollar office building. Time for them to investigated by state and federal law enforcement.

Kaiser has the worst patient communication I have ever experienced. I really think the CEO needs to retrain his employees in patient relations. They are rude and nasty every experience I have had here have been despicable. You make an appointment and your still sitting here almost an hour and a half waiting to be seen is just unacceptable. Going to be changing my daughter’s Doctor office and believe me it’s not going to be Within Kaiser the worst care I have ever experienced in my life.

    To the CEO of Kaiser
My name is Mrs. Nguyen . I am living in San Diego. Last night I got a bad UTI . I went to the emergency hospital in Clairemont Mesa, after checked in the nurse told me that i have to wait for 10 hours. Have to wait 10 hours in EMERGENCY? EMERGENCY is for people need help as soon as possible. What a terrible experience I had last night. Nurses were rude and also short on a doctor. I hope that you will consider this message and hire more doctors. If more doctors are not hired, patients will no longer to go to Kaiser for health care such as myself.

Emergency rooms are for life and death emergencies. Anyone who has an emergency higher than a UTI goes ahead of you. Thats why the wait is so long. Best to take AZO and go to Dr office. Not an emergency room.

I am a Kaiser member and I have a complaint about your telephone service. I receive phone calls from Kaiser Permanente which may or may not be extremely important but they are ignored. The problem is there is no Caller ID and I consider it a Robo Call. We get up to 25 Robo calls a day and I will not answer the phone unless there is a caller ID that I recognize. I strongly recommend Kaiser Permanente change their way of calling patients and include a caller ID. Without the caller ID it is quit possible that one or more important messages will be missed.

    Thank You,

    Iran Ausley

I find it disturbing and disrespectful that in order to get a message from the pharmacy, I must press “1” for English! English is the international language of business and I would expect in the U.S. of America that I wouldn’t have to press any number to get served in English.

I was a Kaiser member for about 20+ years. The care and services I received were superb. Due to relocation to Mississippi my membership cancelled and I miss Kaiser.

I would like to know if sometime in the future Kaiser may open a facility in Mississippi.

    Thank you

I have been a Kaiser member for 27 years as a Safety Officer in Santa Clara County. I want to move to Monterey County which doesn’t provide a Kaiser Health plan. I DO NOT have MediCare. When is Kaiser going to open a branch in Monterey County? There is a great penalty to secure MediCare right now as I am 76 years old. Am I stuck in this county? thanks.

    Dear KP,
This is not a complaint, but a request for information.
My name is John BabXXXX. I am a PGA Golf Professional from Illinois. I work for a company here called Ontal Corporate Golf Wellness. I hope you can help me. I thought you might be interested in our business and could direct me to someone at Kaiser Permanent who might be able to help, if interested. Here’s our story:

We take our golf teaching expertise to corporations and add a valuable “wellness” program to the existing programs of many companies. We provide “in-house” golf lessons. We are always trying to grow the game of golf and this provides the beginner and the more experienced golfer with instruction in the comfort of their office or company facility. We teach both men and women, and their families. We are interested in getting the ladies started and keeping them interested in golf. We also understand that a major amount of business deals are still formulated on a golf course and if we can get more employees interested and keep them interested in golf that can only be a positive for both your company and ours.

You might not think that golf is a health or a wellness activity, but a golfer who walks with his or her clubs can cover anywhere from 4 to 8 miles on the course, depending on whether they play 9 or 18 holes. We think that alone generates some great exercise.

I would love to speak with you more about what I think Ontal Corporate Golf Wellness offers and I would love to hear your views on on program, especially designed for ladies in business. I am contacting you because I am interested in bringing our business to southern California.

For more details I have added our latest brochure that will help detail what we provide and give you some insight into what some of our current clients think of our program. I also encourage you to visit our website for even more information.

I look forward to hearing from you,

I would like to send a copy of repeated requests for payment from Kaiser for an ER visit for Juliann Orr on December 19, 2013. I have communicated with Kaiser in writing and phone calls. I am mailing a third communication to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., File 50445, Los Angeles, CA 90074-0445. Please send me the address of your office and to whom I can mail copy of this communication at Kaiser’s Main office. I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you very much.
