Wayfair was so successful the pair decided to expand and create other subsidiaries; Josh and Main was founded in 2011. This store differs from Wayfair in that it is a membership store. It offers a wide variety of items other than the usual furniture, including outdoor items and furniture, rugs, lighting fixtures, and specially chosen, unique decor items.
In addition to online shopping, the company offers a mobile app designed to make shopping fun and easy for consumers.
In 2017, Joss and Main partnered with HGTV to provide furniture and other items for houses that are being renovated and flipped.
A Joss and Main director was featured in the Boston Globe in September 2018, highlighting how she learned to use style tips from her employer to renovate and decorate her family’s Charlestown Victorian home.

This is the worst company. I ordered a bathroom vanity 3 days ago. Yesterday I received an email saying it was out of stock and my order must be cancelled rather than delayed because they don’t know when it will be back in stock. I go on line and there it is on their website for $300 more. I chat with a representative and they say “Yes, we have one in stock”. They even verified it was in stock by asking me for the SKU number. They offer to send me it for the new price of $1500 instead of the $1200 it was 3 days ago. What a scam!! Stay away from this company!!

I ordered six chairs from Joss and Main on September 5th and the chairs were in stock and the order was due to arrive in 10 days. We were so pleased to be upgrading our dining room with a new set of chairs. After the delivery date came and went, I contacted Joss & Main who told me that the item was out of stock and was delayed. I can’t remember the spin their representative gave from their set of scripts.
This went on until just this week. First, they never contacted me to inform me of yet another delay. I always had to call and ask, what’s going on with me order. Where upon I was told, every time, I different reason for the delay. Sometimes they were quite imaginative and full of reinforcing details.
I called and asked to cancel the order and requested a discount for their extremely poor customer service. They were never honest with me and stuck to a variety of scripts meant to deescalate customer anger rather than be honest. They told me that 10% was the best they could do. I asked for some specific chairs that their website said as $111 a chair and was in stock. Their customer service person, the first one to be straight with me, told me that she’d talk to her manager and see if they could get additional discounts for me. The next morning she told me sorry they couldn’t do better than 10%.
I looked at the chairs I’d told her and the price, overnight, shot to $145 a chair and the color I’d told them that I wanted was suddenly, out of stock. WOW! The worst online shopping experience that I’ve ever had!

I purchased a second Kraus chair, while trying to enter a promo code somehow I accidently submitted for the purchase. I immediately cancelled the order and even selected the reason I cancelled the order (price too high). I then called to verify that my order was cancelled and I was told that the order was already in route and that I would have to call back to have it cancelled???? The order was not even processed in under a minute, and it cannot be “shipped already” as the telemarketer stated on the phone. Not sure if companies or induvial are taking advantage of customers due to the stalling economy, less consumer spending? Or if there ae less than desirable persons working for Joss and Main undermining customer service. This is a scam and I am very disappointed Joss and Main has such subpar consumer service occurring. Joss and Main has a lot of work to do to clean up their act. Unethical business practices. Very disappointed

I purchased from Joss & Main on 03.27.2020 for the first time. I ordered the Knowles 7 Piece Bar Height Dining Set. The set arrived on 04.17.2020. The glass top for the table arrived shattered in pieces. I reported the damaged glass top on the date received. An order was placed for a glass top replacement on the same day. The expected arrival date on the email was 05.01.2020. It is now 05.19.2020 nearly a month after receiving the table and I still do not have a glass top. I have called repeated times and have spoken with several customer service representatives with no progress towards confirming when my glass top is expected to be delivered. I’ve had a team member to confirm the replacement glass was picked up from the warehouse on 4.28.2020 and for whatever reason they are unable to track down confirmation on the bill of laden. So it appears the glass top is no where at the current time. What I find most frustrating is that no one seems to provide a call back to update me on the status of my delivery. As a first time customer this has not at all been a pleasant experience. The lack of follow up is inexcusable to say the least. I’m very disappointed with the fact that I have not been able to use the table since delivered on 04.17.2020 without the glass top because of how the table is made. There is one support bar down the middle of the top of the table which supports the glass top. Without the glass top items are not balanced on the table and will tip over. I would like a manager from the Freight team to confirm where my table top is, when I can expect to receive it and an updated status. My order number #2760144771. I’m hopeful that someone in this company is really concerned about customers having a great experience and resolve my issue.

I feel your pain Bridget. My wife ordered some patio furniture recently from Josh & Main. The set is supposed to be here on Thursday the 21. According the the tracking the furniture has not moved in a week. Order #3148942415 We have been calling everyday for 3 days and no response. According the recorded message you will be hold for appox. 25 min. Good luck with that. We have waited up to an hour with no response.
Furthermore, the price of the furniture is 15% lower now than it was when it was ordered. Do we cancel the order and order again? Will we be reimbursed for the discounted price. Who do we talk to? Will our order ever come? Is Josh and Main out of Business? Who knows?
If there is anyone still working at Wayfair/Josh and Main please email me or my wife and I will send you a cell number to call. The number listed on the order is the house number.

I purchased a Quentin 7 piece Dining Room set on October 17, 2019 (see attached.)
I received an email on October 18, from Jossand Main, stating that I, Mary Ramsey, had canceled this Merchandise Order #2994974617.
I did not cancel this Order in question.
On the evening of October 18 & the morning of October 19, another Sales Represent-
active has informed me that Joss and Main
canceled this Order because of a Joss
and Main Web “error.”
Because of this Store error and the FTC
Consumer Protection act, I am requesting
that Joss and Main will reinstate my Order.
