Jersey Mike’s Subs was founded in 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. This small sandwich shop was originally named Jersey Mike’s when Peter Cancro went to work there as a teenager. The owner decided to sell the shop in 1975 and Cancro decided he would buy it to see if he could make this struggling sandwich shop pay off.
Today, Jersey Mike’s Subs is a successful franchise with nearly 2,000 locations across the US. Cancro is still the owner and CEO of the company, which specializes in freshly made submarine sandwiches, made to order. The company also features a “Mike’s Way” specialty sandwich that has a “secret” dressing applied to it.
Entrepreneur recently listed Jersey Mike’s Subs as #13 on their list of America’s Top Growing Franchises. The company offers third-party financing to help cover start-up costs, inventory, and equipment. Jersey Mike’s Subs had annual revenue in 2014 of $525 million
Jersey Mike’s is still opening new locations and raises thousands of dollars each year for various charities.
In February 2023, the National Hockey League choose Jersey Mike’s Subs as the official team sandwich.

Jersey Mike’s doesn’t give the employees BREAKS, the manager is RUDE and LAZY. I work at the one of the stores in Maryland and it’s horrible. I have seen meat and cheese dropped on the floor and the manger and other employees go in the back of the store and rinse it off and continue to use it. There are days I’ve been on my feet for 10-12 hours with no break. In all of my year working here, I’ve been verbally abused by every manager and used. I’ve been making $11.50 since 2021, never given a pay rise and I’ve asked several times. JERSEY MIKE’S SUB is the worse job on the planet and they overwork employees.

this is a compliment.
had lunch today at your Woodland Hills location, across from Nordstroms rack. there were 5 employees working the counter, and all of them were high energy, helpful, efficient, and friendly. each guest was welcomed, and the line moved quickly. My wife is in the restaurant industry, so we know first hand how difficult it has been to find staff that meet standards. Kudos to the management of this location,

I am a current employee with Jersey Mike’s in Pasadena, Texas. Soon to be former employee. I have been working at Jersey Mike’s for two weeks. I had taken the job because I remember working at a deli shop in my teen years, and it was the most fun job I remember working and figured this would bring back a lot of fun times and enjoy working. In the last two short weeks I have never felt more like a loser, from Poor management by the head manager ” Bree Soto.” She has been nothing but RUDE, AND UNPLEASENT towards me! When being assigned Duties it is more like an order. Silent treatment most of the time, and Criticism the remaining time! As a trainee a manager is supposed to make you feel appreciated, and comfortable coming to her with a concern. Management reflects leadership and inspiration, and motivation to new employees. When letting me know how to do things or corrections to be made, her body languages and overall tone of voice towards me has been more of a put down. Going home feeling demeaned or less of a person. Not part of the team. EVEN A CUSTOMER UPON COMPLEATION OF HER ORDER ASKED FOR MY NAME, AND SAID “THANK YOU HUNNY YOU ARE DOING GOOD!” Those little words go a long way towards a trainee who is trying. I really think corporate should be aware about Bree Soto’s lack of management skills, or even manners, and just how she has made me feel 1. as a trainee and 2. as a human being. I will not be giving Jersey Mike’s a 2 weeks notice of resignation, and will be quitting this Friday.

Have a question…. I recently went into the store on 9th street I’m Indianapolis. I got an unsweetened ice tea and was looking for artificial sweetener. There wasn’t any out so. Asked the lady behind the counter for some sweet and low type thing and she that they didn’t provide that anymore that I could just put sugar in it. I asked her how that would be different than the sweet tea that was already available. Is this a company wide thing or just this store? I’m thinking how this might affect someone who is diabetic and can’t have regular sugar. The already have a very bad choice of pop available at this store.

On August 9-2022 I went Jersey Mikes on Church St, Conway SC at approximately 3:40 pm to get a number 13 sub in a tub to buy and I had 66 jersey points. I explained to the lady that I would be paying for a salad and with the next 6 points accumulated I would be getting another salad & asked if she wanted to do transaction together which is the normal or and pay for one & use points on other. I was told I couldn’t use my points until 24 hours later. That has never been policy before, I’m a 72 year old senior citizen, I had driven from Marion SC to Conway SC which is approximately 30 miles on a 93 degree weather day at gas prices being close to $4 to be told I could only get one salad and had to wait 24 hours to use my points so I never got my meal and it was frustrating, disrespectful and down right incorrect. I am a dedicated customer and a jersey shore member who patronizes jersey mikes frequently in different areas. The nearest jersey mikes To my home is either Florence SC 30 miles or Conway Sc 30 miles. I responded to a survey from jersey mikes and complained about my terrible experience and has of to date to receive a reply. I pray that this complaint be taken seriously as well as responded to and that the Jersey Mikes at the Church St , Conway SC be fully trained on policy and procedures. Again I cannot stress enough this was costly and upsetting. 93 degrees, 30 miles drive and gas prices at close to 4:00. Never experienced this 24 hour wait time before. I vowed to go Jersey Mikes anymore. However I was in Florence SC a couple days later and stopped at that location to see what there policy was and as normal, asked the manager there how to use my points and he did exactly was normal procedure made both salads in which I paid for the first, got my 6 points which made the 2nd one payable with points. I’m still totally upset with Conway SC and will never go back to that store. Again please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and I feel I should be rewarded with a gift card or something to compensate for no salad on that very hot 93 degree day, 30 mile drive and high gas prices and A 72 year old senior, who frequently patronizes Jersey Mikes as well as have introduced others to your franchise. Thank you in advance for your reply

I want to speak on a negative experience that I had, but it was not me whom had it. It was my husband, an employee at a new location, 479 Stillwater Ave. Bangor, Maine. Now, this store has only been open a few months so it’s known that a grace period is usually given with certain things. My husband is a very hard worker, if he gets hurt he just keeps working. Yesterday, he cut his thumb shortly after getting in around 4:15pm. He cleaned it, wrapped it, put on a new pair of gloves and got back to work. While working he was approached but a woman that he had never seen before and did not introduce herself, we came to learn that she “was above the general manager” but nothing else. She started yelling at him and told him he couldn’t work with a cut like that and had to leave the building. Now again, she did not introduce herself nor did she ask to see his cut, that was still well dressed, she didn’t ask him if he was ok nor see if he wanted to seek medical attention. My husband asked why and asked the GM, Kim, why he was being made to leave and all he got from her was “Well, she’s above me. I can’t do anything”. After harshly forcing him to leave, he wanted clarity on what had happened so he decided to call Kim. He called twice at 8:30pm last night to figure out what was going on, and twice Kim hung up on him. She is known for doing this…….
Now, why would a superior not a- introduce themselves “Hi, I’m so-and-so. I’m the district manager, or whatever said position is.”and b- make sure your employee is alright, “Are you ok? Do you need someone to look at that? If it’s bad and keeps bleeding we can’t have you working tonight”. Something along those lines. Both Kim and said woman above her were beyond rude and I can’t believe anyone would treat their employees in such a manner.

Jersey Mike’s on Perimeter Road in Dublin Ohio- Has a staff that could care less, and when you order your food online and it has a time to pick it up they are usually 10-20 minutes behind.. They act like your time is not valuable. I have contacted corporate about this repeated issue but it seems corporate from Jersey Mike’s could care less to get back to a customer and there concerns. The afternoon manager she seems to not care, gets angry at guests and workers…. In this area there are plenty of places to eat, it is not a good look for Jersey Mike’s.. Others have had this problem in this area.

I came in to Jersey Mike’s last night 5/2/22 at roughly around 8:40pm at the location 8837 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227. I ordered a #17 onions & peppers on there was fine and asked to have mayonnaise and lettuce added to the sandwich. When I got home there was no mayo on my sandwich and also there were tomatoes added to my sandwich. I am allergic to tomatoes. I had to throw the whole sandwich away.

My comment is for the Melbourne, Fl. store 1070 N. Wickham Rd. Suite 102A Melbourne, Fl. 32935. I’m very disappointed with the manage there, Whitney. She picks and chooses who gets to do what and is very, very rude to the employees, customers and very disrespectful. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard people mentioning how mean/rude she is and some of their customers refuse to even come there and will drive 5 miles up the road to use the other store. I would really liked for this to be looked at and brought to her attention. This is totally disrespectful and a very bad rep. for this store.

Today, I accidently ordered $24.66 worth of sandwiches and chips for a location in Los Angeles. I’m still not sure how this happened, since I order from Jersey Mikes all the time from my home in San Diego. When I called to request a refund, I found a recordind that said the phone number had not been activated.
I ordered lunch from my ususal location and they said there was no way they could assist other than to give me the corporate phone number. It this Jersey Mikes in Los Angeles does exist, I would still like a refund, since there was no way to stop the order from being made with an unusuable phone line. If this isn’t an actual Jersey Mike’s shop, I’m more concerened that this site now has my credit carfd informtion. I saved the email response about my order, which includes the unusable phone number. Please let me know how I can get a refund for the $24.66 order. Thank you!

Hi there! Jersey Mike’s recently hired a woman named Chere Norris. This woman will drive your store into the ground. She is a racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic and all-around hateful person. She is a narcissistic pathological liar, who likes to try to turn coworkers against each other. She has ran two stores from the Potbelly Sandwich Works brand into the ground. The store I was at, in the course of 10 months, she drove 24 workers away. When I left, the store was down to 5 employees total, two of which are already more than halfway through their two weeks notice, and I learned last night that another had quit with no notice. She drives people away faster than a Manhattan taxi driver, and no one cared. We tried reaching out to our DM and then our regional VP, but nothing was ever done. If you value whichever store she is going to, you will take this to heart and watch her very closely, cause she will hands down do the same thing there.

I love the jersey mike brand! But lately when I go into my local Northern New Jersey stores,I am being told that they are not cooking the Roast beef at store level. I have to tell you what a huge disappointment! I was shown the pre-cooked product you are using and it looks god awful! I will not eat it. So my question is this ,when do you plan on returning back to in store cooked Roast beef? Haven’t these franchise owners made enough profit on this garbage Roast beef they are selling? By the way I see the Roast beef price is still at a premium and you are serving a not so premium product. Don’t chase me out the door do the right thing Jersey Mikes!

In the state of Virginia it is not required to wear a mask. I do have respect for others as I am working every day due to being an essential employee.
I wanted to buy a sub during my lunch and I am a loyal customer of Jersey Mike’s but today I forgot to bring my mask and as I walked into the store I was going over the menu for 5 min. like I always do when someone stepped out from behind the counter and asked me “Do you have a mask”? I replied no. He stated “We don’t serve customers without masks” I walked out the door.
I was the only customer in the store!
I would think that there are better solutions considering the income businesses are losing in these times.
1) Offer the customer a .30 cent mask.
2) Could your cover your face with .1 cent napkin?
3) Can I take your order but you will have to wait outside.
4) Walk with the customer outside and take there order.
This is the best this company has trained their employees on customer service???

Today was my first experience at the Greenwich St. location in Wichita, Ks., and my last.
The people there couldn’t have moved slower, with their sh**ty attitudes and back talk, I’m surprised the place stays open. I could go into detail about specifics but what good would that do? From what I read on other comments, that company doesn’t seem like they’ve got it together in the first place. I don’t care how big they are. PATHETIC. You people lost some future business today and it’ll take a friggin miracle for you all to get it together. 0 stars – if that’s even a thing.

Alex Meza, Juany, & Jonathan,
I am writing to formally inform you of your termination as the manager of Jersey Mike’s Subs in Cinco Ranch.
I would, first of all, like to thank you for your service to Jersey Mike’s Subs in Cinco Ranch. As SubWich Co. moves forward with the acquisition of this location (effective November 4, 2019), the company feels it would be best if we part ways effective immediately. Not only can we not withhold the salary that you were promised by the previous owner, but we also differ when it comes to managerial styles.
I wish you the best in your future endeavors
and once again thank you for your contributions to Jersey Mike’s.
Sincerely,

The manager at Jersey Mikes UCF on university Blvd is disgusting. He screams at his employees in front of customers and talks about them to customers, making the customers feel uncomfortable. My daughter has worked for this company for almost 2 years and she transferred the this store and the manager ruined it for her. He talked about her in sexual ways and always degraded her as a lady. He told other employees she’s sucks and he’s just using her until someone better comes along. He doesn’t have any key holders to the store or shift leaders for that matter. He has the employees lock the front door and leave through the back no alarm set. He is rude to customers. He will yell at them and argue with them instead of finding a happy medium. I am an owner of my own company and if one of my managers ever acted like this it would be game over. It is completely unacceptable and horrifying that you have someone like that working for your company!

One day my crew and I were working in the area so we decided to order almost $100 worth of Jersey Mike’s sandwiches. The system did not record my phone number to get my shore points. When I realized what happened, I immediately contacted the store manager who said she would take care of it. Gave them the receipt number and all. Nothing happened and never got my points. Have spoken to the store owner on several occasions who “promised” this would be fixed. Still now running on 15 days since I ordered my sandwiches, I still don’t have my points. At this point, I don’t believe I will ever get my points or credit. Is this a way to run a business with false management promises?

I think that it’s awfully sad that even though each store is owned by someone “franchise” that their CEO’s and Corporation does not care if the owners hire drug addicts who are visibly high at work and don’t require drug tests in states where pot is still illegal. I personally will never support this company again especially after being told by customer service that basically they don’t care. To me it makes the whole company look bad and if I were a CEO of Jersey Mike’s I’d be embarrassed!

GREAT food as always. I don’t understand the policy not accepting $100 bills though. If I spend $95 on sandwiches the $100 bill should be accepted. Counterfeit concern can’t be the issue. Percentage wise, $100 bills are actually less likely to be counterfeit than $20 bills. Not having enough change can’t be the issue either. In my case I was only needing $5 in change. Just a bad policy in my opinion.

Got home and started the grand opening for the MORGANTOWN wv store and dealing with the corporate supervisor Andy. Have to say he realy truned me of to Jersey Mike’s to the point that I left for another job a week after opening. The immature way he acted was really bad. Always wanted to up front when the college girls there. Then he for some reason thought it was funny and okay while you talked to him that he would make the circle with thumb and finger to see if you would look.over at it and laugh and say I got you. Most people know what he was saying doing that. And know I find out it is a racist thing to. I think Jersey Mike’s should be more careful who the have as a face of corporate

Dear Peter,
I just went into Jersey Mikes in Lindenhurst NY (on Long Island NY) had a horrible experience. On April 15th I ordered a sandwich extra large to be delivered it was awful in every word. I went in today to speak with Paula the manager she was so rude in front of all the customers should had just told me to F off. I explain our condo burnt down this is why it has taken me until today May 2nd to get back here and speak to her. Out loud nasty with a store full of customers told me to call corporate and basically buy or leave. I have NEVER in my 30 years of working in the food industry have ever spoken to a customer like she did t me. I go to the Jersey Mikes in Hauppauge NY and always got good service and sandwich. But as I said our home in Hauppauge burnt down so now in a different location. NEVER again will I or anyone I know enter a Jersey Mikes. I am 58 years old and spoke to like a piece of trash by your employee. You should be ashamed of your company. Ellen O’Malley (email address: myluckie7@ aol.com

Italian meats and cheese sandwich..thats for tuna or B.L.T not Italian cold cuts and cheese..at worst case mustard..but never mayo..it was ordered with oil and vinegar and was over saturated with mayo making what was to be everyones favorite made so bad in taste , we all trow it in the garbage..it was horrible..on top of the oil and vinegar a ton of mayo which i said i didnt want on it..we all wanted just oil and vinegar and had on top of it smothered in mayo..just disgusting..if we got what we wanted it would of been as usual, a great hero..had the oil and vinegar added alone on top of it..the mayo destroyed the 2 giants combo sandwiches and we all agreed to trow it out…the mayo had a sour taste to it too… it was that bad..it was ruined ..mayo does not belong on that sandwich..i didnt know the sandwich maker didnt know any better as not to mayo out on Italian classic sandwich…it will be a long time before i come back..from my favorite sandwich to the absolute wort ever..

I give promission to contact the manager of the Waxhaw Jersey Mike’s 8121 Kensington Dr.
I was called in to work a shift yesterday on my day off. I came in helped them and I had to talk to the owner Paul about some scheduling issues. We went outside and it leaded to him telling me that It is not okay for me to be a full time mother (which he knew I was from the moment I was doing the application) and work there. I walk away to calm down and he gets in my face and screams “WE DO NOT F***ING WALK AWAY THATS NOT WHAT THE F*** WE DO” and my mother was on the phone and heard him clear as day. He then proceeded to tell me I’m fired for being late multiple times. So I asked him to show me. As he showed me I pulled up my schedule on my phone and Paul since day one when I would go in if it was slow he would have me wait to clock in until it picked up because of labor. Which is already illegal. But then on this day he proceeded to say I came in late on those days but I have proof of him telling me to wait to clock in so I sit down and wait. So I was fired for Paul making me st and wait to clock In. He also threatened to call the police on me because I went in to get my stuff before leaving.

99% of your employees are awesome. I’ve been to 5 different stores and the food, cleanliness and service have never been an issue until yesterday’s horrible experience. I was at your Mission Hills store on Sepulveda sitting down eating my giant Big Kahuna sandwich when all of a sudden a man screamed out loud twice: “SOMEBODY HUNG UP THE DAMN PHONE!!” it was so loud it felt like he was screaming over my shoulder but he was a couple tables behind me. The employee looked startled and said “Really?.. I’ll go in the back and look or ask if…” but the man cut him off and said “GO BACK THERE AND HANG UP THE PHONE!” The employee semi frightened said “ok” and as he started to walk to the back, the man said “YOU’RE F-ING PATHETIC!!” He then makes a phone call and starts complaining on his phone, I’m not sure if he was cursing because he was speaking in another language but it was loud…I thought he was just an irate customer. I turned around to see who this person was and he noticed me turning and gave me a dirty look. I stood up to get a napkin on the next table and he kept looking at me, I was going to say something but he was still on his phone, as I began to turn around when he put his phone to the side and said “What?” I said “You’re on the phone never mind”…He immediately hung up the phone and said “Ok now what?” .. At this point some customers started to walk inside, I didn’t want to add to the scene but I had enough so I walked up to the man and told him “Dude, You’re ruining my experience here, I’m enjoying my meal peacefully and you start yelling, cursing what the hell is wrong with you?” He said “Calm down, don’t come at me like that you don’t have to yell” I said “I was very calm until you started yelling and calling people F-ing Pathetic, who the f**k you think you are?” A customer behind me started to record us so the man back peddled and said “I don’t know what you’re talking about sir I was just here on my phone sir, this is my store” I said “don’t play stupid just because these customers walked in, the fact that you said this is your store makes it even worse, this is how you bully your employees? You’re the f-ing pathetic one” He said “You’re out of line sir, you don’t have to curse at me for no reason sir” …I said “F**k You” as he kept claiming ignorant. I’m glad those customers walked in because he was seconds away from getting his a** kicked but you won’t have to worry about that happening as I won’t go back to that location. If he’s the owner I’m not supporting his business, in fact this is just the beginning of my complaints because at least HR if not the BBB needs to investigate his management practices.

I just picked up my order from 127 L Rt. 130 Cinnaminson, NJ and I paid for xtra cheese and xtra meet for the #11, I asked for the extra meat to be all salami as the ham is usually pretty thick anyway. I got neither. Nor did they include the side items I asked for. When I called the lady claimed to be the manager and said it was xtra and that she had sliced it herself. She said she added one xtra slice of salami becuase that is all I asked for. No, if I pay for xtra meat and specify which one, that means you double that one twice in replace of the one that does not get doubled. There was no xtra cheese. I took a picture of the sandwich as proof but I can’t find and email. Very disappointed, I usually go here once a week. Why is there not a build to standard for each sandwhich….???

I am writing you to make you aware of a situation that occurred today at 12:10 arrival time and making leaving around 12:25pm in your shop and how an employee of yours “Ayana” was completely rude and very unprofessional! I would not let her near my customers and if she wanted to keep her job let her clean the bathrooms and floors since that way she can’t offend anyone or lose money and customers!
I come here quite often and due to working at the hospital sending many patients family’s and colleauges that way recommending your store and I can promise that if this is the service that is going to continue I will go 10 stores down to the firehouse or the many other choices surrendering. I did a online order knowing it was lunch time and probably going to be busy order # 01-000884-99-004616 to be picked up at 12:12pm today as I arrived I stood there and I did notice they were busy so I waited and waited and waited
as I stood there and the line decreased I then asked the 5 employees if I was going to be helped Ayana looked my way and then looked away as another women approached me I asked if there was a manager on duty she replied she was the manager so I made her aware I was waiting on a pick up order she then hands a piece of paper to another employee and request he makes it. He walks it over to me and it was the wrong sandwich, I let him know he told me I shouldn’t of OPENED THE SANDWICH AND THREW IT INTO A GARBAGE CAN! WHICH AT THIS POINT THE EMPLOYEE Ayana started to mimic me and walk away! Are you kidding me right now??? I am a customer who is now getting mimicked and rolled eyes at because they could not do their jobs as they should be trained ‘make a sandwich!’
At this point I did ask for a full refund and did not want the sandwiches any longer! Then they couldn’t give me a refund and kept me standing there saying the system couldn’t do it? 1st a manager should be able to give a refund and as she helped 4 more customers and still couldn’t give me a refund?! this is so unprofessional. Sorry I tipped too :/ to be treated that way
Grant it your employees see ma as only 1 customer but I do have a voice that can and will deter many to heading to your establishment.

I ordered a sub this afternoon at the shop located at 57th and 3rd ave. Customer took my order, continued to make a sub, then asked for my order again. I was confused and asked her, “You just took my order right?” She gave me a long stare that made me feel uncomfortable. Then she simply ignored me for the rest of the time I was in line. She whispered something to her colleague, who then asked if I wanted the sub “Mike’s way”. I agreed and she proceeded to add the typical ingredients. This second colleague bagged up the sub and handed it to the cashier. The cashier took my 20 and when she gave me the change, she grabbed my wrist aggressively and placed the bills in my hand. I always eat my sub there in the shop. But this time I simply felt uncomfortable. When I got back to my office, I realized that the cashier shortchanged me 5 dollars. The whole experience led me to believe that this type of behavior is not uncommon for this particular work crew. They had an aire about them that suggested, “We don’t like you.” I will not be returning to Jersey Mike’s in the future. I want customers to be aware of these practices among certain employees who seem to have developed internal tricks when not being supervised.
Thank you.

NEVER…NEVER go to Jersey Mikes’ at 11 Bear Creek Blvd. Wilkes-Barre,PA. Shabby customer service !!! I ordered a sub ($13.00),picked it up on my lunch,2 employees flirting with a customer (only 2 customers in the store),come back to work and find that my sub had a piece of cheese, some turkey, some ham,and mayo ….NO tomatoes, NO onions,NO lettuce !!!!!….for $13.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called and was told that “it was a mistake and people make mistakes”..this is their third “mistake with my sub…come back down for a different one, only after the employees tone was unacceptable…When I went back, I gave the sub back, was given another sub, along with a coupon for a free sub…LOL !!!!…I gave the free coupon back and asked to speak with the manager, when a very disrespectful employee stated very loudly, “I am the shift manager !!!” while the other employee walked away and said, “Jesus Christ !!!” The manager is Cindy Davies, which I was given a card, and no other way to contact her but thru the sub shops number and address-the employee was, David Bartos…..an ignorant boy !!!!!!!….no pride or respect for his job or others !!!!!!!!!!!!! Shame on Jersey Mikes for hiring such people….it doesn’t say much for you OR your company !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very disappointed in our recent service in Beaufort. I went online to order, put in zip code, paid and given a confirmation number, went to pick it up, and another person with the same name picked up the order right before we did. Had to order and pay a second time. No compensation, no discount or apology. Shame, you lost a good customer.

My experience at your store was bad. My experience on your corporate comment page was worse. I will advise my clients against investing. I don’t need to hear from you, these experiences say it all.

One of your employees posted a video on instagram and snapchat of them rolling a blunt in the back room of your business. Should drug test your employees regularly. Appalled, honestly.

I’ve worked there for 5 days in total so far and it seems as if they don’t care how their employees treat each other.
I watched two teens argue for 5 minutes in the back while the rest of worked on the line.
Also, we have a comment board for each other. And I left a note about me wanting to take a shift and I was sent a photo of that comment where someone had wrote the word “XXXXXX” over my name.
And what was weird was my boss sent me the photo asking me about my comment completely disregarding what was over my name.
I have the photo and I have the messages
I’m disgusted in this, I’m a college student and I already have enough on my plate, I don’t need to be bullied at work.

Horrible customer service at Jersey Mike’s Moreno Valley on Frederick. Black male employee making his own sandwich double meat and cheese, would not acknowledge me then left! A Latin woman came I ordered giant number 7 on white she proceeded to put only five slices of thin turkey when everyone else puts a double layer on the giant she than stated she makes it different from her co workers! Then she proceeds to help people behind me! Horrible

I call and order lunch for our office about once a week and not had any problems with local restaurants, fast food places. I understand it gets busy around lunch time, so i do not mind the wait, I did not call early enough to miss the lunch time traffic. While I was waiting a driver was out, so I sent him to pick up food I was about to order. After over 20 minutes my driver arrived at the store location. He waited in line and got to the counter while I was still waiting on the phone. At that point after waiting for over 35 minutes I hung up the phone and the order was placed by my driver at the store. He ordered 10 sandwiches and was informed buy the sandwich technician that next time he should call in the order, so that they can get a jump on the order. My driver did not say a word in fear that the sandwiches my be tampered with. Upon arrival to the office we opened up the bags and wrappers and found out that 4 out of 10 sandwiches were as he ordered were incorrect. Jersey Mikes is a large Corporation and we will never come to you again for our luncheons and my $180.00 a week will not hurt you, but I have to believe we are not the 1st complaint, and will not be the last unless the people you have working for you are giving the right training.

I used to swear by Jersey Mikes on Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, Fl. I USED to send all my friends their from up North. Till yesterday. I ordered an Italian sub, wife brought it home. I was REALLY looking forward to it. IT WAS GARBAGE. I had to through out half of it. I called the so called mgr, & the dm. They could care less. Have the sandwich to bring back & the dm Tyler said I needed a ticket number for a refund, even thought I was going to present half the un-eaten sub. What jerks!!! Have a call into the CEO Peter Cancro.. Holding my breath hearing from him. Going to bring the remains of my sub back this Tuesday, for a REFUND. And will STAY their till I get it. Police may be involved. Customer service at Jersey Mikes is an oxymoron. Close them up. These kids that try to run a fast food restaurant should go to a “safe space” when confronted with a customer complaint. Go to Fire House Subs, only a block away. Plus, subs are made by firemen, not idiots!! Bill Powell

I highly doubt police would be involved. If it’s anything like the store I work at they will give you a refund no issue. The only people they’ll tell anything to is their employees for messing it up. Get real.

The past four visit i have had a horrible experience. I’m wondering how at 830 you ALWAYS seem to run out of bread. They run out bread every time i come and the manager told me that i need to get there earlier that they open at 10am and I had all day to come. Like I told him I work too just like he here making these sandwiches and when i do come i would like my order to be right and Every time they mess it up… i just did a comment card so the rest of my complaint is on there. I will be looking forward to some kind of feedback

My husband & I are VERY upset. I called in our order in at 8:42 pm I order 1 regular pastrami on white with pastrami, light mustard, swiss & pickles. I DID NOT get swiss nor pickles & my sandwich wasn’t hot. My pastrami was cold. The 2nd sandwich was a regular on white with turkey, american cheese, extra mayo, light lettuce & oil. Instead, this sandwich had tomatoes + onions I even left a $1 tip in their jar, which I regret. For leaving a tip, getting charged $16.99 is a rip off for us. Ticket 01-001289-01-028303

I was an employee at Jersey Mike’s for 2 years. I even worked my way up to assistant manager. I was in a very respectful position, and I was given alot of responsibilities. However, after 2 years, I decided to seek out other employment, mostly because the general manager at my location, Corina Garay, had 4 people in her household work there. After many months, the favoritism seemed evident, and I was ready to part ways, but I did it formally. A month passed after I left, and I went in to get my monthly tips which usually adds up to around $250 for myself since we have been asking for tips on all card transactions. My manager decided to not give myself any tips, but instead rationed it out to other employees. Grovetown runs by its own rules as if it is a family business instead of a corporate industry, and I demand the money I earned!!!!!

I was just at Jersey Mike’s in Pooler Georgia the service was lousy I asked for a giant sub made into a salad and she said she couldn’t do it she was very rude and didn’t put all the cold cuts that were supposed to be the salad in it. Very disappointed since I’m an original customer from Point Pleasant New Jersey
Maria says
The salad, which is called a tub, is only the size of a regular sub. But yes, you can ask for extra meat and cheese but it will be an extra charge.

Had a horrible experience at the Northridge store. For starters, when I walked in the crew appeared to be playing around and not paying attention to their duties. Someone came from the back already wearing gloves, walked over to the counter grabbed my sandwich and cut it into four. He then began to wrap it up without asking me what I wanted on it. A crew member saw my facial expression and asked is there a problem? I said yes, he’s cutting my sandwich without anything on it. They had to take apart the sandwich and add lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and peppers. I asked him to leave out the avocado spread but he instead went to put some on, had to stop him. Let cashier know that I wanted to just pay and leave asap, she said sure. As I was paying a crew member began to crack his knuckles and pound his fist into his hand. I asked him: “what is all that stuff with your fist about?” He said nothing just cracking my knuckles. After this I didn’t want to do business with that store. I asked for my money back and the cashier said ok then went to the back of the store. After a quick pow wow with some crew members in the back a self identified manager (no name tag) came out. She asked me to tell her what happened but I was cut off by the knuckle cracker / fist pounder. I suggested that she stop him and instead allow me to explain “my experience.” Manager wouldn’t listen to my complaint, instead she cut me off and came to her own conclusions. I suggested that we discuss our matter off to the side but she refused. Instead the manager chose to argue with me in front of other customers. After an unnecessary run around she said I’m just going to give you your money back. I asked her what her name was and told her that I would follow up with the proper personnel. This “manager” lacked communication skills so much so that I had to ask her: ” are you trying get me angry?” So from what I collected, their overall resolution was that their worker was new and in training. I didn’t let manager know about the gloves because we went somewhat off topic but what upset me was the knuckle cracking kid who was pounding his fist into his hand as if he was losing his patience with me. I try not to judge but when someone chooses to wear a clearly visible tattoo of a lipstick kiss on their neck, its kind of hard not to think, is this kid into trouble? As a university student this was my place for lunch but I will never step foot into this establishment again.

I sent an email of my feedback before and still haven’t heard from a rep or had any one contact me on why I was ripped off of my coupon. I got a coupon for buy one get one free and we received these coupons from my company . All of my co workers were able to use this coupon but when I arrived with the same coupon the employee at the store would not give me the same deal , they continue to state that my coupon was the buy one get the 2nd sub for $5 when I know for sure that was not the deal . They gave me the deal that was on the door which is if you come in after 5pm you get the 2nd sub for $5 , I continued to let the reps know that wasn’t the case but they continue to push that I had to pay $5 . I think this was completely absurd and I wish you would educate your employees who is suppose to represent this company on the types of coupons that customers may have . Thank you

Ive had the worst experience ever at my neighborhood JERSEY MIKE’S. I use to visit the Jersey Mike’s location down the street from me twice a week, but as of this last visit, i decided to never step foot into that store again ((maybe none of the stores from the looks of things, no one seems to want to contact me about this situation)). It is of importance becuz i spend my hard earned money & so does the Majority of my family, friends & poeple whom i work with. We dont want to spend our hard earn money on Customer Service as horrible as i recieved & this wasn’t the first time I’ve been rudely treated & experienced such bad service. Living where i live for over 22 yrs, u can imagine being as tho i love the FOOD @ Jersey Mike’s, jst how many times I’ve mad purchases. I ordered a GIANT #20 ((MY FAVORITE)) I didn’t ask for anything special, just as it comes. The cashier started slicing the meat 4 my order, but what shocked me was HOW SHE WAS SLICING & PREPARED MY SUB. She sliced 3 slices literally at a time & FLUNG THE SLICED MEAT INTO THE GRILL AREA ((I don’t even know where the meat landed or WHAT it landed on)) She went back to slice 3 more slices of meat, NO CHEESE. At this point I’m shocked but wanted to wait to see exactly how she was gonna compete my order ((which by the way, never happened)) details below will describe WHY. Continuing on, the grill cook came up from from the back & whispered something in the Cashiers ear as the both started laughing ((I’m way passed extremely uncomfortable at this point))!!! The grill cooked spoke a loud, trelling her “THAT WASN’T ENOUGH MEAT” FOR THE GIANT #20. i don’t know if the next statement she made was becuz of my SIZE/ WEIGHT/ THE FACT THAT I’M A PLUS SIZE WOMAN. She specifically said, “SHE DON’T NEED ANYMORE MEAT ON IT, THAT’S WHY WE RUIN OUT OF MEAT”. Wow, i did to myself. Still to this day, I’ve NEVER, EVER experienced such service. So that was insult, hurt feelings & total disrespect number one, all in the one visit. ALSO, i was pushed to the side moments later, when another customer walked in. I was over looked in a racial way ((i am a 40 yrs old Africa America)) & a Caucasian woman came in & my already in process order was forgotten. She stopped slicing meat 4 my order ((that’s even if she was gonna slice anymore after the comment she made abt Me not needing Anymore meat)). The cashier waited on that customer that came in after me immediately. Keeping in mind, the cashier was in on my order. The cashier finished the customer that came after me, orders completely. HER- The Cashier/Sales Person, by her being CAUCASIAN AS WELL, I ASSUME THAT’S WHY I WAS PUSHED ASIDE 4 ANOTHER CAUCASIAN PERSON. I cant stand to think that way, however, that’s what was shown clearly to me. I see if she called ahead & placed a order that was ready & the young lady stopped to Ring that Customer up OR the Customer ordered online. But that wasn’t the case at all!!
* ive submitted a complaint from the Jersey Mike’s regular website & someone contacted me Back, Via Email. The Person stated that i had the wrong department & that she would get back with me.I replied back to that same email address a week later asking her, did she come up with any information & what’s the next step. She said, SHE’LL CONTACT THE MANAGER OF THAT OWNER OF THAT LOCATION & HAVE THEM CONTACT ME. Well, it’s been several weeks since the conversation via email. No one has attempted to contact me. WILL SOMEONE PROVIDE ME WITH THE INFORMATION OF THE OWNER ((OR WHOMEVERI NEED TO CONTACT)) so i can reach out myself. No one has apologized to Me for what i experienced & went thru. The disrespect & humiliation of basically being called out for my weight in front of the Jersey Mike’s staff. The manager was also there, sitting down in the lobby at a table on the phone. I didn’t Even want to approach Him with what happened. Looked like He was busy on a personal call. Plus, He’s been as equally rude to me on several occasions. I can say, that location & customer service of the GM- MITCH, wasn’t always this horrible ((I KNOW OF HIS FIRST NAME BECUZ I’M A REGULAR)). Mitch & the older staff that he use to employ, a little over a year ago. They were so pleasant & nice. That’s why, that location WAS THE ONLY LOCATION I’D VISIT.

Hi I just had to write and say how happy my son is with your store!! So my son has celiac witch means no wheat of course so he is eleven years old now and for ever he always wanted a sub from subway but we always had to tell him no due to no gluten free there. So he even emailed and ask them and nothing; as you know. Then one day they saw your sign gluten free subs and you guys made our son so happy and he loves it. Imagine how excited he was to be able to have the very first sub sandwich of his life?! I know it’s just a sub to some but to see him take his first bite and smile…it bought tears to my eyes. I just wanted to thank you guys!!!!!! Please keep selling them – they are awesome.
Thanks Jim and my son
Ps…I have gluten sensitivity as well and was not diagnosed until a few years ago, so I knew what I was missing. To finally be able to have a sub again is amazing! Can’t thank you enough!

Jersey Mike’s in Clifton park, New York needs to go under investigation. The owner is doing some illegal stuff at this business and at all the other businesses he owns. The owner has set up cameras in the bathrooms. These cameras also have audio. He’s also ripping off his employees but not paying them. Or paying them but not giving the employees everything they earned. Including tips. I will never be a customer to this business! Also, the owner is not following the health codes. Nor, is he following the labor laws. Their are employees that work 6 hours or more and don’t get to take a break. I do not approve o how this owner is running a business. Something must be done!

Let me first say that I have previously worked with national brands on assuring quality nationwide. One thing I have learned is that when business is booming but, then, ceases to concern itself with individual customer concerns the cost for that neglect/oversight is captured in the bottom line.
I had a very negative experience at a fairly recently opened franchise in Rochelle Park, NJ and, despite contacting the company via the website I received absolutely no acknowledgment of my complaint. I even included pictures to doXXXXent the matter. For one thing, the ‘regular’ sized sandwich purchased was barely six inches long and when this was mentioned as being likely the case to the server in=store the concern was completely dismissed. Sure, one can say that this is a ‘small’ matter but it is a 20% short change. I dare to say that a 20% short fall in corporate profits would not be well received. There should be some standard so that all customers get that for which they pay…not just the individuals who purchase 100% of the roll by getting the giant size. A $9 sandwich should meet basic standards, one of whch is the correct size. If I add in the fact that the type roll we’d selected was unavailable and the fact that the meat was well-done when I very specifically asked BEFORE ordering if it was rare and was told that it was it was a bad experience all around. (the taste difference between rare and well-done beef is substantialand most folks who thoroughly enjoy one do NOT enjoy the other)
It was one thing to be extremely disappointed with the product I opened up at home but the bigger dismay arises when the company completely ignored the matter…twice brought to their attention. That is not the kind of company with whom I wish to do business and my career experience tells me that I am not alone in that feeling. Expansion is great but if you forget/ignore the single consumer upon whom your business is ultimately built…you simultaneously impair the foundation of your success.
The $9 sandwich ends up losing Jersey Mike’s significantly more than the cost of that sandwich.
Sincerely,
Patricia Magyar
