Jason’s is great except for issue for me: they regularly slice the corned beef and the pastrami with the grain instead of against. That ruins the sandwich. You’re a deli. C’mon man.

Hi, my family and I visited Jason’s Deli in Pensacola on Airport Blvd. Our visit this evening was not one of our best visits. If it had been our first time we probably wouldn’t be returning as much. The staff AND MANAGER were not pleasent. Knowing closing time is at 10 pm, we got there a little before 9pm. They acted annoyed that we came in to eat. The bowl I received for my salad bar wasn’t clean. I asked for another one and he acted annoyed. No smiles, very short and it was very obvious they didn’t want to be there. We sat down and waited for our food. They yelled for a food runner and it took a while. All of our food was cold, not even luke warm. My daughter had the Mac and cheese and it was pitiful. It looked like it had been cooked about a week ago. It was dried out, had brown stuff all in it and was clumped together. A little after 9pm about 9:15/9:20 another lady came in. She walked to the register to make her order. During this time the manager was at the salad bar breaking it down and the other young man was cleaning. The manager said something to the young man about her being there through his headset. It was obvious they ignored her on purpose. After waiting several minutes and being ignored she left. The young man that was cleaning put his hands in the air and began to celebrate that she had left, he even said “yes!” out loud and did a little dance. I’m a business owner myself and I’m not one that likes to complain, especially about another business. However, after what was witnessed this evening I felt the need to tell someone about our experience. My family and I really enjoy Jason’s Deli regularly and I hope our next visit is more pleasant than this evening. Thank you

I’m not even sure where to start I’m not one of those normal “Karen’s “ that complains about any little thing being that I was in customer service myself. My family and I frequent the Jason’s deli in lake Charles Louisiana often and have watched the quality of service steadily decline. So finally I sent a survey in so that maybe a manager who didn’t realize what was going on could fix things. It covered a few things first off the manager who is always noticeably high at work and spends most of her time sitting by the front door smoking. I have children and it’s so obvious it’s sad. We went to eat on a Wednesday I can’t recall the date now but I put it in the survey it’s always the same people working for the most part a slightly thick young lady with brown hair and glasses that will ignore you when you let her know the tea is out and the lettuce is low because she is too busy flirting with the older manager who is literally sweating trying to do his job and theirs. I watch as a line starts to form yet no one but him acknowledges anyone when he makes her go over the irritation never leaves her face but I’m used to it by now because she’s always like that. So I send this survey in finally and receive a call back from a manager I was at work and unable to answer. Not recognizing the cell number I text and ask who it is he introduces himself and his reason for calling in a very professional manner. I let him know I would call him when I got off of work later. Not long after talking to him I get another phone call but I answer this one to be met with a shocked young girl who then hung up in my face. So I texted and asked who it was with no response. I work with computers and am capable enough to identify a number usually so I try a few apps with no luck and I get a text back wrong number. I decided to use Facebook because I’m very funny about my privacy and do not give my number out to many people when I put the number in a very sweet young girl named Kyrie Herbert showed up as the owner of the number. So I took a screen shot where it shows she works at Jason’s deli and sent it to her again her telling me it was a mistake she was trying to call her mother which was one number off. Now what are the chances that happens the day I send that survey. If she meant to call and address the complaint as the other manager said why wouldn’t she introduce herself as he had and stated the reason for her call. I am far from stupid she was not intending to call to solve a solution but to go behind her managers back to be nosey. The fact that my info was leaked to your employees alarms me more than the staff that is destroying your reputation and restaurant. I didn’t want compensation when I sent that survey I wanted a restaurant that we enjoy eating at to raise up to the standards we expect but to have my personal info exposed to people that I just may have cost them their job is extremely serious and concerning. The manager refused to give me a number to someone outside the store so this is the only contact info I could find. I have screen shots of both conversations and now I without a doubt do not ever feel comfortable going back into that store. I could have been more understanding had Mr Robinson said your right she was not supposed to contact you we will deal with it accordingly but instead I got cover-ups and attempts to downplay what happened. Not to mention the constant avoiding of customers by the girl with the glasses who I called and asked her name and I believe it’s Dallas because she’s to preoccupied on her phone or talking the the men on the line . Please feel free to email me. This started off as a nuisance when we would go eat and then when I finally get the nerve up to do the survey I feel violated and attacked . I’ve been to other Jason’s delis and this is by far the Thank you for your time

Hi,
I really love your restaurant. I think the food is very good. I was there for lunch today and it wasn’t busy at all. I do have a few suggestions that might bring in more customers. One is the lighting. It seems rather dark and cold. Also,
I would invest in one big table. Many, many people hate to eat alone, I am one of them. Many of the bagel places have community tables. You could even promote it by saying. Nothing is better than finding a new friend at Jason’s. Come and sit at our community table and receive a free drink. I think there is
a lack warmth there. For example the pizza restaurant on the corner has game night on Tuesday. Another restaurant, no more than a half a mile, will make you
your favorite pizza. I go there just because the staff is so terrific. Even Moe’s
and Culver’s has bells to ring and you are greeted and thanked every single time.
While I was at your restaurant, it looked like the young manager was having lunch. At no time did anyone come over and ask me how was my meal. Also, there are probably over 200 restaurants serving 100,000 here in Fishers. Few of them have a separate room for a private party. Your place could easily do that.
I eat out almost daily. I use coupons 90% of the time. I never see a coupon for
your restaurant. Try looking into Reach Magazine or Source magazine.
The last suggestion, is you probably need a sales person, who can go out to the community and bring in some business. The Seniors at the YMCA have a lunch,
and breakfast every month. There are usually 50 people that attend it. How nice would it be, if you either sponsored a luncheon or just hand out coupons for a free side salad.
I hope these suggestions will inspire you to make some changes. Jason’s will
go from OK to Great.

I have worked for Jasons for four years and have been used like a piece of sh*t used for where people have called out run a kitchen for four months by myself til they hired some new people then my hours get cut put out to clean the bathroom and floors that has not been touched in weeks when I have 20 years in cooking and serving so the new people can make more money than me and as far as manager need to be replaced with people who are not lazy and rude and staff that know how to wipe a table and sweep a floor this is the Charlottesville location and they look to hold your checks weeks at a time something really needs to be done with this place

Placed an order to go approximately two weeks ago. I noticed while I was waiting for my order there seemed to be a lot of fooling around with the employees behind the counter. When I got back to my office the order was just thrown together and the soup I ordered was SO WATERED DOWN it had absolutely no taste. I called and spoke with a manager the same day who advised he would issue a credit to my debit card. Weeks later nothing was done. if you order a to go meal from this establishment check your order before you leave. Will probably not go back.

I have been a loyal customer at Jason’s deli since it opened a location in Augusta Georgia. I would like to address a concern I have concerning a practice at your restaurants. I have no complaints with our local establishment – the food, atmosphere and service always excellent. The issue I would like to address is Jason Deli’s practice of using single- use, disposable, plastic cups for dine-in customers.
When you serve food on reusable plastic plates, reusable plastic ice cream bowls and provide reusable metal eating utensils, why do you then provide dine-in customers with a single use plastic cup. It makes no sense. Obviously, a system and the needed equipment are in place to wash the plates, bowls and eating utensils, so why not use reusable plastic cups as well. It should be very easy to incorporate this into the daily operations.
Please consider the following:
• In the Los Angeles area alone, 10 metric tons of plastic fragments—like grocery bags, straws and soda bottles—are carried into the Pacific Ocean every day.
• Over the last ten years we have produced more plastic than during the whole of the last century.
• 50 percent of the plastic we use, we use just once and throw away.
• Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the earth four times.
• We currently recover only five percent of the plastics we produce.
• The average American throws away approximately 185 pounds of plastic per year.
• Plastic accounts for around 10 percent of the total waste we generate.
• The production of plastic uses around eight percent of the world’s oil production (bioplastics are not a good solution as they require food source crops).
• Americans throw away 35 billion plastic water bottles every year (source: Brita)
• Plastic in the ocean breaks down into such small segments that pieces of plastic from a one liter bottle could end up on every mile of beach throughout the world.
• Annually approximately 500 billion plastic bags are used worldwide. More than one million bags are used every minute.
• It takes 500-1,000 years for plastic to degrade.
• Billions of pounds of plastic can be found in swirling convergences in the oceans making up about 40 percent of the world’s ocean surfaces. 80 percent of pollution enters the ocean from the land.
• The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is located in the North Pacific Gyre off the coast of California and is the largest ocean garbage site in the world. This floating mass of plastic is twice the size of Texas, with plastic pieces outnumbering sea life six to one.
• Plastic constitutes approximately 90 percent of all trash floating on the ocean’s surface, with 46,000 pieces of plastic per square mile.
• One million sea birds and 100,000 marine mammals are killed annually from plastic in our oceans.
• 44 percent of all seabird species, 22 percent of cetaceans, all sea turtle species and a growing list of fish species have been doXXXXented with plastic in or around their bodies.
• Virtually every piece of plastic that was ever made still exists in some shape or form (with the exception of the small amount that has been incinerated).
• Plastic chemicals can be absorbed by the body—93 percent of Americans age six or older test positive for BPA (a plastic chemical).
• Some of these compounds found in plastic have been found to alter hormones or have other potential human health effects
It is with these concerns that I write and appeal to Jason’s Deli to reconsider it practice of using disposable, single-use plastic cups. Considering the tremendous problems that the use of plastic products poses, efforts should be made to avoid creating additional, unnecessary waste. Not only is this the environmentally responsible thing to do but it should prove to be a financially sound practice as well, with long term cost reductions.
Thank you

Just want to let Jason’s Deli know how upset I was when my husband and I eat at the 117 Louis Henna Dr location in Austin Texas . I guess Jason’s Deli does not have there employees attend the Food Handing course, you have employees that have no regard to customers health any time you handle food with gloves on and go to the back return with a box set the box on the floor and fill the area take the box back keep on the same dirty gloves and continue to fix customers order with the same dirty gloves should be an issue with the managing team. To my surprise this didn’t seem to be a problem if you eat at this location you might want to watch and see what is done when your food is prepared DISGUSTING HABITS should not be allowed

I am sick and tired coming in your Spencer highway establishment and getting beef stew, and I get nothing but peas in my stew, where is the carrots, potatoes and meat. It’s really irritating. I am not coming back if I come in again and I just get peas.it’s supposed to be beef stew. Not pea stew.

I am an employee at Jason’s deli and it is ridiculous that we have to work in extreme heat. I have to wear a long sleeved shirt due to the fact that I have little tattoos which is ok, but due to the cirXXXXstances in the deli I feel that there should be a compromise on the long sleeve shirts. Customers have complained and have threatened to call labor corporations to help resolve the issue as well. There are a few issues in the Fayetteville store that need to borrow looked into also. I have asked for a short sleeve shirt because of the heat and offered to wear wrist bands to cover up my tattoos but I’m still stuck wearing this long sleeve hit shirt with no type of air flow to cool off. The air is broken so it should be a little leeway for those who have to wear these shirts. I have doXXXXented photos of myself sweating in the line and photos of the temperature oh the dining area which is too hot to eat there. Please look into resolving this issue and helping your employees have a better work environment before it goes any further above Jason’s deli! I called Alex cone and haven’t heard from him as of yet. Please respond to us thank you! Sincerely a hot and sweaty employee

Jason deli in Lk Mary Florida needs LOTS of Help Correcting the Enormous amount of Issues. My daughter’s been working hard her first Job & excellent employee , she went above & beyond expectations in every area even bringing employees aprons home sewing them to be kind as they break constantly & they cant afford to be buying new ones .Management always spoke highly of her then She was fired for NO Reason, ? she was being harassed by a coworker who was on drugs & didn’t retaliate handled herself professionally Yet my daughter was asked to sign a paper which she was NOT in Agreement of the Statements made against her & being her first Job she did as requested & Should have refused. Lesson learned .The group of Teens who work there majority are on pills, smoking pot on break, drinking alcohol & even older employees are buying the alcohol for them. Pot is illegal here.My daughter’s a Honor Student & Has No desire to be part of the drugs & drama. Therefore she gets pushed out mindblowing.. I Think ALL High school students should be Mandatory for the privilege to have a job they maintain their grades and are Drug tested without notice. The ongoing problems with this location stems from the teen drama from the teens who don’t value their job or themselves. They Desperately need to have a better system . The managers work every area due to the lack of integrity most teens there have, mind blowing. & Miss SO Very Many things that are transpiring because they have to constantly difuse drama which is uncalled for. The gossip is out of control there & sadly I have heard the management gossip myself & stunned me . I’m REALLY Hoping that you Will place requirements for the high school students to be drug & alcohol free at work & grades maintained. This would help remove the intense drama that occurs from time to time where the customers are having to be given apologies for the employees behavior where you hear them cursing in the back out in the dining room.Mind blowing to me. Sad that it’s got such Potential BUT Hiring Teens who are trouble makers is Wrong . My daughter would report issues and They were discarded by management as far as writing them up & others felt she was a tattle tale for wanting others to do their job & was told favoritism which obviously was incorrect as she was fired . The general manager quit due to the unacceptable drama there& presently they don’t have one. The orders are incorrect MANY times & Most of the employees don’t care about following the guidelines especially with cleanliness personally.Jason’s deli corporate states high standards YET allowing these occurrences repeatedly. The store should be closed & rehire staff who are Drug tested without notice & I’m REALLY Sure they would be able to get the store back on track. SO Sad for what my daughter was put thru & she only tried following the guidelines & be a exceptional employee which made the others who don’t have integrity or self respect & control & doing drugs dislike her. She didn’t mind as she focused on her job NOT the drama, she’s a problem solver NOT problem maker . The employees will tell the manager to F off.. they have gone on break & stole at the store across the parking lot wearing the uniform no less.. police being called them.. employees who are calling in because their in jail…. Making Jason’s deli look Extremely Poor . Definitely Not Christian Values You state that you have Values YET Disregard the Employees who Do their job . You wonder why they are understaffed look at the majority of the staff there & good people don’t desire to work in that environment, I was surprised my daughter had & she wanted to make a positive difference thinking she could help Jason’s deli become a better place by example. That back fired ..lol.. being good got her thrown under the bus..
I’m REALLY Hoping that you Will place requirements for the high school students to be drug tested without notice & fired. I’m REALLY Disappointed in Jason’s deli in MANY ways. My daughter’s even been giving a part of her check weekly to help others in the establishment ( they take it out automatic by her request) . I’m Appaulled at the things that I have discovered & the Owner Needs to go in disguise and work & see for himself. As a Supposed Company w Core Values They Definitely are Far from it .
I would REALLY like to Speak to Someone in Corporate with Authority but unable to locate them yet. These things that are transpiring because they have high school students on drugs needs to be corrected by corporate. Stand by your Standard.s. Gossiping & Trouble makers & those stealing food , being unsanitary and coming to work high should Not be Tolerated and your employees who are Drug tested without notice & work hard & go above and beyond should be kept to get the Buisness built back up to its full potential. Disheartening as you don’t Value those who you should & yet fire & rehire staff who are Druggies & curse at the manager which makes absolutely no sense. So Appaulled.

In general we enjoyed going to Jason’s Deli however I have a really big complaint. Jason’s Deli is one of the most handicapped hostile places I’ve ever ate. The chairs are so heavy that anybody who’s disabled or elderly cannot even move them. The main problem is that they set the chairs and tables up in sort of an artsy-fartsy way with the legs of the chairs hooked over the stand of the table.
I actually spoke to someone from Jason’s Deli corporate headquarters last May. She was going to look into it. Nothing has changed.
Do you really want older people and differently-abled people to have to struggle so hard just to sit down at one of your tables?

As a daughter of an employee I’m saddened at how low pay they pay long term employees she’s almost 60 and goes above and beyond and can’t afford to live in a apartment or house. I worked at a mom and pop place and made $12.00!an hour open 11-2 min thru fri. This place makes way more than they do and wastes so much but employees don’t matter. Sad!

The last few times we have ordered takeout from Jason’s it is been horrible and the order wrong. We live 15 to 20 minutes away from the closest Jasons and my husband has had to go back or else we have had to wait until someone could deliver it to us because it was either not right, missing something, or stale. Today Sunday, I received a muffalota that had a clump of ham, no salami, no cheese , and barely a teaspoon of the olive dressing. When I spoke to the manager she seemed very put out and told me it would be an hour and a half before I can get my lunch otherwise she would refund me or my husband could come pick it up. That’s time on our hands and gas. After looking through the bag I also noticed I was charged my up charge for the blue chips and salsa but of course did not receive also. The Jasons in Memphis on Ridgeway really needs to get their act together . This is an ongoing problem. I even tried to call the customer service number on the cooperate site several times and a recording answers trying to sell me dish TV and vacations and everything else so you can’t even get through to corporate. Something just doesn’t smell right not just the food.

Let me start by saying Jason’s Deli is a good place to work. But as a former employee you should start doing drug testing when you hire someone because the current employees at the Jason’s Deli at the Dearborn and lake location in Chicago come to work high. Specially the dishwasher that works nights. He gets high everyday. That’s why I decided to quit because the night management didn’t do anything. They knew he was high they didn’t care. I worked in the kitchen closed the line and was done. And I wanted to come home to my kids and family but I couldn’t because I had to stay and help the dishwasher put away the dishes take out the trash because he decides to come to work high everyday.
