In 1928, brothers Arthur and Alfred Erickson borrowed some money to open a small general store in Centuria, Wisconsin. The brothers tried to get more customers by opening earlier and closing later. Soon, they had a second store in Minnesota.
In 1939, the brothers added gas stations to their stores and gave it the official name of Holiday.
Today, the company employs approximately 8,000 people and has more than 600 locations. This number consists of employees working in stores, fresh food commissaries, distribution facilities, and offices. Holiday has been praised throughout the years by industry leaders for its low-cost, high-profit business model.
Holiday own’s two fresh food commissaries. These commissaries produce a “Holiday Pantry” line of fresh breakfast and lunch sandwiches, burritos, hot snacks, hard-boiled eggs, and muffins. The commissaries also produce the “Fresh Seasons” line of fresh fruit, vegetables, salads, pasta, cold submarine sandwiches, yogurt, and many other food items.
In January 2020, the chain was acquired by the Canadian company Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. Alimentation stated that stores would keep the name of Holiday.
During the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, Holiday Stores opted to pay employees more since they were working in what was considered an essential business.
Holiday maintains a corporate office in Bloomington, Minnesota.
I went in to holiday in Hayward Wisconsin I got gas and when I went to use my $2.00 birthday rewards I was told that I can’t because holiday doesn’t take holiday coupons or rewards. Are you effing kidding me I was told to go to spooner Wisconsin if I wanted to use it. Which is completely ridiculous . I should be able to use a holiday rewards/coupon at any damn holiday. I won’t be going to holiday again.

Your employee Todd at your store in 98th and nicollet needs to check his mouth and be trained in his job. I had to repeat myself four times because he simply was too busy carrying on a personal conversation with the store manager to correctly check me out. When I had to repeat myself for the fourth time he told me not to talk to him like that. I walked out without purchasing anything from you.
Even though I live three blocks from your store, you have lost my business. I will drive a mile to your competition simply to never give you my business again.
If you don’t value me as a customer, you won’t have me and your employees are too busy playing with each other to actually do their job. Perhaps you should rename your franchise to date your boss on company time while we ignore our customers.

Today I was verbally and physically bullied and attacked by the owner of the 52nd and 38th street south location Fargo ND. I am a 64 year old man and this fellow is a 30 year old body builder with roid rage or on other dangerous drugs! He forced me out side to “be a man” as he said screaming at the top of his lungs. Spit flying, a fraction of an inch from my face while he went on a 5 minute tirade! I had just been on support trying to help him get issues straightened out and answer his screaming questions! This man is violent, out of control and very very dangerous! Avoid this location at all cost to protect yourself and your safety!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your station store on 19th Avenue in Fargo has gone from being outstanding prior to the OK acquisition to a dump on the pump islands…not a single windshield brush or fluid tank… the garbage cans on the pump islands are overflowing.
The only thing that hasn’t deteriorated is the car wash. The attendant is prompt and thorough. When it breaks down, it gets fixed promptly.
These problems on the pump islands are not as severe at the other Holiday stations in town.
I tried to call the Regional Manager…no answer.
Why did OK buy a first rate company if their intention is to run it into the ground?
I will be very surprised if I receive a response to this comment.

I understand that it is Holiday StationStore corporate policy that when the US Flag that flies at it’s stores gets to a state that it nolong represents the US properly,: torn, faded, etc. it still needs to be flown until a new flag arrives. There is a store here in Bloomington that has a flag that has the bars torn apart and looks terrible,.

I was racially profile by employee instead de store 420. Employees name is Eric he wouldn’t not sell me my snacks or cigars because of another group that came inside the store after me. I laid my snacks on the counter and asks for the cigars. He then asked was I with the other group that was race of black American descent. I said that’s none of your business I walked inside the store alone so, it’s doesn’t matter. Eric then stated that he wasn’t going to sell me my snacks or the cigars. I then said yes you will. He said I am not and I will show you. Eric snatched the snacks away and I then walked out the store. As he tries to explain to me why and, told him don’t explain and proceeded to walk out the store. I had to drive 4 miles from where I stay to purchase my snacks and cigars. When I drove to my home which is near the gas station it seemed that he called the location police. This is very racist and I don’t like it. Not only that I am black but, he called the police a L’s if I caused disruption or display and anger. I walked out politely and proceed off the property. So why did he call the police? You guess need to explain this one too me. I also worked at a gas station as a manager.

I just went into holiday located at 281 Snelling Ave N, St Paul, MN 55104. Around 9:20pm on 12/19/2021. I had 5, 2 dollar lottery tickets. 2 of them were winners. A $3 & $2. I never been to this store before. I scanned all 5. I turned in the ones that were winners and the lady only gave me 3 dollars. Said the other one was cashed in already. I said I just bought them at a different store. The one lady said it was cashed here. I said I want my money. Your robbing me. YES YOUR HOLIDAY STORE employee robbed me. This is un called for. Regardless of the amount your employee stole my money from me. I got the lottery ticket back before I left and said I was reporting them. Something needs to be done i should be compensated for this ridiculous stunt pulled. I’m also gonna be contacting an attorney about a law suit for this act of thievery. I can’t believe you guys would allow ppl to work there with this kind of behavior. I’m sure this isn’t the first time this has happened before. I will post what ever I have to around that store to make sure all ppl know what them employees are doing to there customers.

My opinion of holiday station at Fridley 57 street and university avenue is: the competency in providing service is very low. Today (12/11/21) I tried getting my recite for a gasoline purchase and the both the manager and employee had extensive difficulty performing the task until a third came. Not only was their competency lacking, they also treated me with irritating disrespect for interrupting a conversation they were having and didn’t even give me the courtesy of an apology for the experience. Quite a shame that the state of the service has gotten to this new low as a local and frequent customer.

Nov 10th 2021 I stopped at East Grand Forks MN Holiday to put gas in my pickup. I used my debit card, inserted nozzle into tank, selected grade of gas clicked the nozzle on low setting immediately it clicked off. I put my debit card back in my vehicle and clicked nozzle back on and there was nothing. The pump was like it was shut off. The screen asked if I wanted a receipt which I thought was odd, so I pressed yes. It charged me for 10.01 and 3.10 gallons. I went into the store after I picked up my son from school to ask for a refund. Attendant said yeah we been having issues with that pump. They called a manager he said no refund. No explanation and he apparently was a bit upset because he was called or that was my take by listening to conversation. So why was the pump not placed out of order if there are issues. Why didn’t I get refunded my 10.01.this is poor management and robbery. Last time I go to a Holiday gas station. Pump 4 and management lost you a customer. I filled my truck down the street with no issues.

Today 10/17/2021 at 8:15pm precisely, is the second time I am going to encounter a very bad/nasty representative at a holiday gas station on 5410 Lakeland Ave N, Crystal, MN 55429.this particular white lady is so horrible in her approach in helping customer navigating there store and very rude to customers and especially me. The first time i felt it was a mistake and today again was another bad day off the limit for me.
I do hope the management will take this seriously, am beginning to see it as profiling, I wish to explain in details my experience with this particular reps if am giving the chance, this is not good for me a as new residence of Minnesota. I know this is not what the company stands for and the entire Minnesota as a whole.

I have purchased your “Holiday Sirloin Philly cheesesteak Sandwich several times now and it is absolutely FABULOUS!
I would only suggest you add more fried onions on it but otherwise, you have a REAL WINNER WITH THIS SANDWICH. In fact, I plan on stopping on my way home from work and pick up some
for my handicapped husband for his lunch since he is limited in what he can do until he gets his surgery within the next week or so. I might have to buy a box of them.

The employee at the holiday station on east 7th street in St. Paul yelled at two girls that were entering their car calling them names and bums where everyone can hear it. The employee is African American girl with red hair she treats white girls very badly. I will not ever go to that gas station again and I would not recommend this store to anyone. She was very unprofessional and very rude. This is not a way employee treat customers.

The holiday gas station in gladstone MI has an employee named Missy. She throws your change you has a pi** poor attitude numerous people have complained about her rude poor attitude. I will not go there when Missy is working
The store on the corner of Diffley and Lexington in Eagan has gone down hill. Often they have no breakfast or lunch items out. They use to have a person that did all of that and wiped things down. Perhaps she retired. Staff is not the friendliest. I use to love that store.

Store # 488 520 South Garfield Pierre SD. Employee name Shaina. I was highly upset the way she treated my daughter and I. First off, she was too busy chatting up with her coworkers, never even said hi, how are you? Didnt even acknowledge us. She was very rude. I had to tell her multiple times what kind of smokes i wanted, again she was too busy chatting her coworkers, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. I also bought some scratch tickets, i DID NOT buy them for my daughter but Shaina was very rude when my daughter grabbed our stuff we bought, she very rudely said to my 8 year old daughter “DO NOT TOUCH THESE ARE AGE RESTRICTED ITEMS” then she snatched them right out of my daughters hand. Once she was done ringing us up she didnt say “thank you” or a single word! Just continued to chat with her co workers. I asked for my receipt and she very rudely printed it out handed it to me , and mind you she was looking at her coworkers, NOT I. I ended up taking my daughter to the vehicle I then went back inside and told SHAINA “that was very rude what you did to my daughter you do NOT get to speak to my daughter that way, CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE” and walked out. As a loyal customer this the first time i have seen her working there. HOLIDAY you lost not only a loyal customer but A FAMILY and FRIENDS as i will make sure to let everyone know the type of person you have working for your company!
I was threatened by multiple employees for them mistakenly thinking I was putting something IN My bag. I showed them my bag and nothing was in There like the manager said she seen me put a sandwich in my bag . I was approached by an employee about a complaint towards me, and ask for my age and i said im 28. so he came back with shes 19. and so for supposedly making another employee nervous just because i use southern hospitality when i come in and ive been a long time customer at this store so i will no longer be shopping at ur facilities and would rather go to cubbies gas station. this happened at 12th and marion. sioux falls, south dakota im p*ssed about this.
