Hello. Are you the company that just took over Oakwood Hills Senior Living in Eau Claire, WI?
Brenda Lee says
I have been a resident at Holiday Willow Park Independent Living in Evansville, Indiana since August 2021. When I moved in almost every apartment was filled by active, mostly independent residents and every staff position was filled by energetic, hard working and cheerful employees. Presently only 4 or 5 of those employees remain. There are no cleaning staff employed at present, although a part-time temp agency has been contracted. The Engage Life Coordinator (new hire), the bus driver, the assistant manager, the sales director (Atria employee) and the maintenance man (new hire) have served meals, cleaned rooms, public areas and public toilets. The maintenance man was assigned dishwashing duties this past week. The “manager” sits in his office or micromanages what others are actually doing. He shows no concern for the safety or well being of the residents and behaves as though our mere presence outside our rooms is a personal annoyance to him. He specifically told me not to talk to the office manager because she works for him and he is the boss. I would highly recommend that an unannounced visit by someone higher than regional be made to actually examine the state of this facility and the residents, both in light of safety and health concerns. When an announced or scheduled inspection is made by Atria, every effort has been made in the prior week or two to clean up, camouflage, cover up, or hide the usual conditions.
